Hello, beautiful people, and welcome back to my podcast. If you are new here, my name is Brianna Gomez, and I am so lucky to be your host of Hot and Unbothered, the ultimate podcast for leveling up your life, unlocking your dream version of yourself. So today, you are in the place to be. I know there is a reason why you felt called to click on this episode. You want to level up your life. You're tired of the fad diets, of the short-term gratification workout goals or challenges. You want to truly transform your life inside and out, and to be hot truly stems from within. And so many people these days, they focus on just the physical. They focus on what you're eating, how often you're working out, but they don't realize that to truly achieve the it-girl golden glow, it starts from within. And it's equally important, yes, to take care of your body in the physical, but what really matters as well is to take care of the internal, the mental health, fueling your soul, calming down your circadian rhythm, your cortisol levels, all these things. There are so many different ways that you can heal your soul and your body at the same time. So becoming hot and healthy, to really achieve that for life, to make permanent, long-term, noticeable results, you're going to need both. So today, we're talking about the internal and external tips to become the hottest, highest, healthiest version of yourself. But before we get started, you guys know I love to share a podcast review as always. Today we have one from Sophie. She said, "Hey Bri, I'm Sophie, 13 years old and from Quebec. Since primary school, I've always been a people pleaser. And when I started high school, this personality trait made it hard to make friends. I was lonely and really insecure. When I started listening to your podcast, I took my life in my own hands and became the healthiest, hottest, and highest version of myself. Thank you for doing all of this for us. I love you so much and hope you're feeling better." Thank you so, so much, Sophie. I really appreciate that, and I am so proud of you. If you guys missed last week's episode, it was the people-pleasing episode, and it is a good one, super, super crucial for setting boundaries and just making sure that you are putting yourself first. And speaking of putting yourself first, I have so many ways to start really focusing on leveling up your life and getting that internal and external glow. Let's dive right in. And if you are dedicated and want to commit to becoming the hottest, highest, and healthiest version of yourself, go ahead and follow the podcast Hot and Unbothered right now, because it will not let you down. And we all keep each other accountable. We are one big community of besties, and it is the place to be if you want to see real results in your mental and physical health.
Let's start with a few internal things. A huge tip that will help the way you feel inside is just getting sunlight as soon as you can in the morning. Just getting outside. This is going to be so great for setting your circadian rhythm, which can then help with cortisol levels, hormone balance. There are so many benefits of getting outside. It's great for your stress levels, and it will also help with your energy levels throughout the day. Get outside as soon as you can in the morning. Even if it's just five minutes, that's all it takes. You don't even have to work out. Eat your breakfast outside, on the bench, in the park, wherever you can. Get outside. Especially extra points if you can do this before checking your phone. It will do wonders for your internal mental health.
To add on to this, you guys know a huge tip I always share is journaling and just reflecting instead of constantly consuming content. When we are constantly consuming content over and over again, you're doom scrolling, you're bedrotting, all those things, you are not learning how to think for yourself. Additionally, if you're just doing ChatGPT, you're never going to develop your own thoughts, your own reflections. You need to actually find ways to think for yourself and exercise your brain. Especially if you struggle with anxiety or overthinking, like I have in the past and sometimes still do. Journaling will be your very best friend. You can do this by practicing gratitude every day. If you don't know where to start, just write down three things you're grateful for every morning or every night. This will do wonders for you as well. I know when some people hear journaling, they roll their eyes about it, but give it a fair try for at least a week, and you will see what it does for your glow. You will start glowing if you start journaling and especially practicing gratitude. I promise 100%.
There are so many things that seem physical that actually will benefit you internally as well, your mind, your body, and your soul. There are things you can incorporate into your routine that mark off all three checkboxes. A huge way to incorporate this is by finding a movement that you actually love. Some people maybe they hate going to the gym or they hate running. You don't have to force yourself to work out in ways that you do not enjoy at all. A great way to implement this would just to So a great way to implement this is by trial and error. Finding fun workout classes, maybe yoga videos, dance classes, going on a hike in nature. Find something that you truly enjoy that doesn't feel like a chore. That way, when you are moving your body, yes, you are getting those physical checkboxes marked off, but you are also fueling your mind. Working out for a lot of people is a form of release. When you learn to move your body in a way that's fun for you and not just solely for aesthetics, again, it will have physical benefits, but the mental health benefits truly knock it out of the park.
In addition to this, something that may seem external for some people, but is very internal, is focusing on eating whole foods. And by this, I do not mean you have to cut out everything yummy that you enjoy. I'm never one for cutting out or even substituting, but just incorporate. Yes, still eat whatever you want. I know it's hard for a lot of people to go through a diet change or replace bad foods with good foods. So, instead of just being super strict with yourself if it's too hard to just cut things out, incorporate and introduce new whole foods on top of it. So, you can still enjoy all the same things, but you'll find it's a lot easier when you start to just introduce new yummy whole foods. You won't even feel the need for other things later on. Maybe you always need an energy drink, but you'll find that when you are eating more whole foods, that's more sustainable for your energy levels than the energy drink that's filled with sugar and that's going to make you crash later. So, replacing the energy drainers or the crashy foods that I like to call with yummy, delicious whole foods, fruits, vegetables, meats. There's so many fun ways, and you can do this by trying new recipes, meal prepping, going to farmers markets, looking at Pinterest for more inspo. There are so many fun ways to introduce this, but you will internally feel better. The looks that you get from eating healthy and the skin glow, that's just extra benefits, and you will get those things. However, the internal benefits of that are so underrated, and the way your body feels on the inside, it will thank you. I promise.
Another very overlooked tip is to regulate your sleep times, which will help with your nervous system. Try and create a super consistent night and morning routine, just so your body can calm down. It knows when it's going to sleep. It helps with your anxiety, circadian rhythm again, by going to sleep at a good time. I know this can be really tricky for a lot of us. So, if you can even try getting off your phone one hour earlier before bed, maybe 30 minutes, and you work up to an hour, then two hours cutting off your phone time before bed, but your body will thank you when you start to sleep better. And all these things tie in as well. When you're eating better, when you're moving your body in ways that you love, when you're getting out in the morning with sunlight, you will sleep better. And this is going to help with your mood. This is going to help with your energy levels. I find that I am such a grouch and not pleasant in the slightest to be around when I am tired or when I am hangry. And so working on all these things has actually made me not only hotter and healthier, but an overall better person to be around.
And again, something I've really been focusing on lately is not only habits that make me look good, but ones that make me feel good. And so, one small change that's made the biggest difference is protecting my eyes in a fashionable way while I am working all day. I'm actually obsessed with these, and they match my dress perfectly. These are my blue light frames from Vue Glam, my glow-up secret weapon. I wear them while editing, planning, working on new content for you guys. And just having glasses like this makes me feel more productive, more focused, and less physically fried at the end of the day. Vlam makes glasses that will be stylish with your outfit, so you don't have to sacrifice your look for the function, whether you're going to a cute coffee shop or you're working at home. So, you're getting the internal benefits of protecting your eyes so you don't feel disgusting after working all day, but you also don't have to sacrifice the look. But it's also not boring or basic. They have so many cute styles to choose from. Let me know which ones you guys think look the best. But they're lightweight, comfortable, and I honestly feel physically and mentally put together when I have them on. Like, girl boss, hello. But if you want prescription lenses, they have options for that as well. So if you're in the market for any kind of glasses and you want to give Vlam a try, I have them linked in the description below for you guys to shop. But the hot girls are taking care of their bodies. They're taking care of their eyeballs, and they're taking care of their mental health. Going to take these off so there's no glare for the rest of the video.
Now, if you want to get hot and healthy fast this summer, you are going to tag team internal glow-up tips with external glow-up tips. So, I'm going to get into a few more external glow-up tips. A huge one I have is to get ready, even if you're doing nothing. There is so much power in getting dressed just a little bit. Even if you're staying at home, put on a cute matching set. Put on your favorite tracksuit. Put on even a little baby doll dress. I've been loving baby doll dresses lately. Or put on some cute glasses. But there is so much magnetic energy in a girl who gets ready for herself. Not because she's going to see someone, not because she's going out in public and she's afraid of what other people will think, but she does it for her. That is magnetic. Even on your off days, or especially on your off days when you are feeling down, when you are not feeling cute, if you even don't feel like getting ready, just at the very least, either do your skincare or put on your favorite outfit, do something. Or if you think you're just going to go run for some errands really quickly, put on an outfit that makes you feel confident. We have to stop doing things for other people and do and wear and treat our bodies in ways that we enjoy. So yes, if you are going nowhere, if you are staying home, still get dressed for yourself.
Having a maintenance routine is a huge one. Again, let me emphasize, all of these things are not for anyone else, but solely for yourself. So figure out what your maintenance routine must-haves or favorites are, things that make you feel like a pampered princess. Again, not because you're afraid of someone else seeing your undone nails and judging your nails, but because you truly enjoy the pampering that comes with getting a manicure, getting a pedicure. So, that's one thing I love. I get a French mani every time, and I love it. I get gel builder right now, and it helps my natural nails grow so much. Maybe for you, it's not getting a manicure, it's getting a facial or getting your eyebrows done or giving yourself a face mask at home. There's so many different ways. They don't all have to cost money. There are things that you can do in your home. But just figure out what your maintenance routine is, the things that make you feel the best and like you are pampering yourself because you deserve it. Again, it doesn't have to be, oh, I'm only going to shave and put on lotion because I'm going to go see a boy. Wear your lotions, do your body scrubs, wash your hair, do the hair mask on a regular day. You are dating yourself. The only person you have to impress is you, and pamper her and take care of her.
You guys will also find that embracing the natural is so, so powerful. So maybe instead of trying to go against your natural hair, wear your hair natural. Or instead of trying to completely shapeshift your face with makeup, wear your makeup in ways that accentuate your natural features. And I think it will help you realize how truly beautiful you actually are. And that just does wonders for your confidence. If you guys want another full episode on ways to become more attractive that don't include makeup or changing your face or plastic surgery or anything crazy like that, let me know because I have a lot of tips I could go on and on and on about for that.
Another great tip that yes, it helps in the physical, but you will see internal mood benefits as well, is staying hydrated. I cannot stress this enough, especially if you're working out and moving your body. Your muscles really, really need hydration to see progress, but your skin will glow. The secret ingredient to glowy skin is water. It's literally water. But this also shows up in your mood, in your sleep, and in what's going on down there. There are seriously so, so many benefits of drinking water. Do yourself a favor, start drinking water.
Another tip that does wonders for your internal and external well-being is to have some sort of confidence regimen every single morning or night. So maybe this is looking at yourself in the mirror and doing some daily affirmations. I have a guided self-affirmation episode for you guys if you are looking into ways to practice self-affirmation. Maybe you're new to it and you don't know exactly what to say. That's a great place to start. It's great for beginners. But just looking at yourself, giving yourself compliments, telling yourself the things that you love about yourself, saying, "I am successful. I am abundant. I am worthy. I am beautiful." Those things very much translate into reality, and it's kind of insane. Or maybe this is writing a love letter to yourself at night, listening to your favorite playlist, and just dancing like nobody's watching. In some way, give yourself a ritual or a release to just let out all the negativity and welcome in positive energy.
Adding some sort of grounding into your routine at the end of the night also is huge. Maybe this is yoga, stretching, prayer, maybe you're going to go back to journaling again at nighttime. But this will help regulate again that nervous system. It will help get all of your anxious thoughts and pent-up negativity, whatever is going on up in your head, you will let it out. Let out the tension. Let out the bad vibes. And you will feel so good, refreshed, and magnetic for the next day.
Something that also seems super physical, but again has the biggest mental benefits as well, is walking. There are so many scientifically proven benefits of simply just walking as much as you can, as much as you can. Even if it's just deciding to take the stairs instead of the elevator. Maybe it's going on an evening walk, just a lap around your neighborhood. But the benefits of walking are so real. I specifically notice that I sleep so well on days when I get my steps in. And on days when I don't, I'm more anxious, I'm in a bad mood, and I can't sleep at night or I'm waking up earlier the next day before my alarm when I don't need to. So walking will actually help you with everything mentioned in this video. And I need you guys to clear out the mindset of, oh, I'm only going to go on a walk today if I have time to get my 10K steps in for the day. I feel like a lot of us develop that all-or-nothing mindset when we're trying to have a glow-up of sorts. But it's actually so much more beneficial if you just learn to release that stigma of, oh, I'm only going to do the all or nothing. Only if I can walk a really far distance, I'm going to go on a walk today. And if I don't have time for it, I'm not going to do it. Take advantage of every second of your day. So yes, maybe you don't have time to walk a mile or three miles, but if you have time to even just do a five-minute, ten-minute walk outside, that will help you more than anything. Clear out that all-or-nothing mindset and focus on the anything helps. Anything helps. Baby steps. Every small choice that you make throughout the day that is a choice that the highest version of yourself would make, those are the ones that will make the biggest difference in your ITG girl internal and external glow-up.
Another tip that helps me feel so pampered and like that girl is having my own signature scent. And something that I've recently discovered that I have to share with you guys is hair perfumes. It's these ones from Kit, and I just could not gatekeep. My all-time favorite one is the Amber Shores one. You actually can use them on your body, too, but they've just been making me feel like a princess. You know when a girl walks by and her hair just smells so good and it's just like the aroma filling the room, and you just know she's that girl. It's like she's straight off your Pinterest boards. She's a clean girl. Looks like she takes care of herself. Smells like she takes care of herself. Having a signature scent is key, trust me. So, mess around with different scents. Find the one that makes you feel the most confident and it matches your personality the most. This one is Warm Sugar, and there is also the Sheer Violet and Pistachio Latte. But I highly just recommend incorporating something little like this into your routine that's really going to romanticize it. So build a healthy maintenance routine, self-care routine every day that has little gems, little nuggets of romanticization that makes you feel like a Disney princess and makes you feel like that girl, and others will pick up on that energy because taking care of yourself and incorporating little things into your routine just because that is magnetic. And the best feeling is getting compliments on the way you smell, and it helps so much in my confidence levels. And again, just doing something like that for you is the best, and extra points because you smell delicious.
This is something I could truly talk about forever. So, if you guys want more of these tips, feel free to let me know in the comments. But I love you so much. Thank you for watching today's episode.
