Normally, on this channel, I try to teach you business. But right now, in this present political climate, with all the problems in the world that we have, I feel like my positive idea that everyone can take control of their own life, build their own business, or work with someone to build their own business, is under attack. Your life is being controlled. You are being controlled. You're being manipulated by algorithms, by politicians, by the left, by the right, all trying to get you to be on their side so that you are a battery for their economic gains.
The present economic system, which was designed over a hundred years ago by Carnegie and Henry Ford, which birtone the present-day education system, was designed, in their own words, to make you go to the factory on a Monday to Friday to work for someone else, to do what they want you to do. And it has existed in its present form for over 100 years, along with the present housing ownership system, which has caused a major economic splinter. It has meant governments have got into serious debt, so they can't help us. Even if all the rich people pay more tax, which is a present no-drive, "let's get the rich to pay for everything," you're just going to drive them out of your country and into the hands of countries that are friendly and tax-free and want business to thrive in those markets.
So, the other argument is, if governments can't actually do anything because they're in debt, even if you pay tax, you give it to them, they can't clear the debt. They're inefficient. They're unable to help you, and they're polarized. They're trying to blame immigrants. They're trying to blame individuals, the rich, or the immigrants for your problems. They're trying to give you an excuse for not taking control of your own life because they don't want you to. They want you to be a consumer.
So today, I'm going to try and give you the tools to take back control from the people that are trying to control you. But first, I think we should quickly break down what are the problems. The first part is, you do have people that are simply trying to get views on social media. They will say lines like, "tax the rich," or "there's corruption in government," or "that this system's broken, that system's broken." They present problems so that you think they can solve them, but they don't actually give you clear ways in which they're going to solve them. Now, this is all about getting money, money from big corporates later when they leave government, like the people that were once in political positions in, say, for example, political parties in England, then go on to be the number three at Facebook after their political careers. So, there is definitely corruption in this way that people pander in politics, certainly to big companies, and give them what they want, the freedom to use their algorithms in any way they want to make money with data that you didn't give them permission to do. So, these governments are corrupt in that way. But I like to believe fundamentally that humans themselves, and many humans in government, do want the best for you. So, the government isn't actually the enemy. The system is the enemy.
On the other side, you've got influencers, and I guess I'm one of them now, that are telling you how to think. And I think this is the second problem: who to listen to? The Andrew Tates of this world that clearly have problems but have a few good ideas, or people like Nigel Farage, that still today say Brexit is a good idea. Economically, we prove that it's not a good idea, but they will still push that agenda and tell you about how they've got 1 million followers on TikTok, and that makes them popular. That guy could be your next political leader. And look at him carefully. Look what he's really about. And I think that's the crux of it. The second problem is definitely individuals, influencers trying to get your attention. So, it used to be political parties trying to get your attention to get power. They'd lie to you to get into power to make things happen that they want to happen. You know, Boris Johnson just wanted to be on the wall at number 10. That's what he wanted. He didn't want Brexit. He wanted to be famous. And you've got clever people like Gary Stevenson, who I actually really like. I think his content has a lot of value. Also, unfortunately, now getting caught up in this, "Let's tax the rich, let's tax the rich." If you don't tax the rich, their wealth will grow, and it will grow, and it will grow, and it will squeeze out your family. The problem is, it's too simple. The solution of "tax the rich," which again, probably is the third problem: simple solutions that both the government are trying to put forward and influencers are trying to put forward, are not simple. If you do what Gary Stevenson says and tax people that are earning more than 10 million or have more than 10 million in assets, they will move. Now, Gary will talk about how in the 1950s, they taxed Americans at 70, 80%, and it worked back then. They didn't have tax havens like Dubai. They didn't have the ability to jump on a plane and live in a completely different country at a signature on a bit of paper. And they're no longer going to be paying tax in that country, and more importantly, not helping people in that country have a better life.
Now, a lot of rich people I know, hundreds of multi-millionaires, and I know five billionaires. And actually, despite what you might think, they're not evil. They're not. Now, I'm not saying some of them aren't out there evil, of course, some are, but most don't believe that if they take their hard-earned money, and 70% of entrepreneurs that are very successful today are self-made. They made their money not because they inherited it, not because they were given it, but because they built a company. They built something with their hands, and they made it real. You know, Howard Schultz, the founder of Starbucks, for example, he's from an immigrant family. He lived in social housing when he was being brought up and became a billionaire because he built Starbucks. You can't hate these people. Now, what they believe generally is, if you tax them heavily, the money goes to the government, and the government is a very, very inefficient company. These are businesses that are badly run. And because the governments are badly run, they get into debt, they overspend, they don't know how to budget like you have to. They're not carefully watching their spending and balancing the books each month. They're just spending to get your votes. And that means later, you pay debt. And that means you don't have any money to give to the very people that need it the most.
Now, I'm going to give you a framework how we can get out of this, and what I think is the way to solve all these problems. But I'm already getting hate for saying this, so I'm going to have to explain it very carefully so the comments on this YouTube video don't fill up with ignorant people that don't understand the nuance of the solution that I'm proposing. The way out of the problems that we face, and the reason I'm making this video today, is I've spent the last three days fighting with people online trying to figure out a way to solve these problems. And I got home at midnight last night, and as I pulled up to the car port where my car was, there was a swastika sticker on my Tesla. Now, we cannot carry on this way with politics dividing us, with the left and the right way of living, the poor versus the rich. Everything is dividing us. And I'm going to give you a few ways now we can solve this, but I need you to listen to the whole of this video to understand the full context of what I mean, and don't take what I'm about to say out of context. Let me finish it all so you can see my plan, and then you can tell me: one, have I missed anything? And two, how can I help you do this thing to make your life better?
So, let's just quickly run over how I'm going to do this. There are three structures in society that are important for us to understand. First, you've got the working-class population, which in England is still about 50% of the population. Then you've got the middle class, okay? And then you've got the rich, okay? Now, what's happened is that the working class has slowly been priced out of the housing market. And quite often, um, you know, let's say nurses, police, the fiber grade, they're they're low paid, and yet the cost of living has gone up, so they've got poorer over the last 100 years, well, certainly the last 50 years. There's there's there's an argument with inflation exactly when this started, but in the last 50 years, the working class today are poorer. It used to be that one person could go to work, and the other person could stay at home and be a part of the family unit. Now, that's impossible. Two people need to go to work to pay the rent, to pay the mortgage, to put food on the table. So, uh, you have a slightly major problem there where the family fabric is is breaking up. And kids are now being taught at school, and the school system is designed by the rich. This isn't a, you know, conspiracy theory. Henry Ford and Carnegie said that they designed the school system, they invested in the school system, the present one we have today, to make people go to work, right? So, the school system is now completely run by whether an A, B, C, or D grade defines whether you're smart or stupid, which is stupid in itself.
Then you've got the middle class. Now, the middle class today is starting to feel it. Uh, the middle class has actually prospered in the last 50 years because people were able to afford a house, so they they built up asset, an asset which, by the way, is a liability, not an asset, technically, if you if you live in that house, it's a liability, not an asset, but that's that's that's a financial literacy thing for another day. But the middle class have got to a point where now they are also starting to feel the pinch because the cost of living is so high, mortgage rates go up, the ability to own a house and become middle class is getting harder. So, the middle class is getting spread. Their savings weren't haven't been as good because of course, everyone borrowed money the last 15 years. Money was so cheap. So, the middle class all borrowed money to get richer. And all of this money is actually flowing where this money used to be a little bit in the working class and and growing middle class is now all flowing to the rich. And in part, it is because of how the mortgage system works, okay? So, let's be honest, banks don't give you a loan to buy a house because they're kind organizations trying to make the world a better place. They do it because the truth is, you're brainwashed. You think owning a home is the path to getting rich, but that's not how the rich get rich. Okay? I'm I'm going to talk more about this in a minute, but the rich get rich by starting a company and having income, multiple streams of income. Ideally, um, a house that you live in is not an income stream. It's a liability. It costs you each month. And so, the money for these houses that the middle class have bought, and and some working class have bought, is actually a loan from the rich via the banks. So, the so the rich give the money to the banks, the banks then deploy it to the middle class and the working class, and then because, you know, I could buy 300 houses today, do I want to maintain them and manage them and keep them in good order and all that work? No, I don't. So, I give the money to the bank. The bank then lends it to you. Uh, you then pay every single month for that house. And by the way, by the end of it, in most most cases, depends on where you buy in the country, but in most cases, you end up paying three times more than the house is worth over the next 25, 30 years of the mortgage, plus you then put a deposit down, which is cash in bank, and then you maintain it, and you think you own it. But on paper, the bank actually owns it. So, the person that lent the bank the money actually owns it. And then, uh, all this monthly profit guaranteed. If you don't make the payment, the house defaults, and the bank, stroke the rich, take it back. So, all of this money and all of this value is actually going into the pockets of the very rich. And this has been going on, probably for the last, at an intense rate, the last 25 years. And so now the rich have so much money. What are they doing? Well, they are storing money, and they put that in the stock market. That's one way they do it because it's quite liquid. Put the money in and get money out. Much better than houses, by the way, which people don't buy houses. Like I said, they want money in, money out. They want it to be liquid. And so they put it in stocks, um, and they put it in assets. One of the big asset classes that you store money in is property. So, then they buy property, but they buy it under this context of like offices and a business structure around it. And and some people, certainly the higher end of the middle class, also buy houses to store value. But this means the property values then are also going up, and all the assets are flowing to the rich in the end.
Monopoly was invented by a woman, a very clever woman, and she actually wanted to show the the problem I'm trying to highlight now, which is if you make property a business, a basic human need, a business, then, um, in the end, there's only one winner, right? In Monopoly, there's only one winner. Uh, and and it's not meant to be a business, but in the end, all the values go up, and everybody else goes bankrupt, and there's one person left standing owning everything. And it's probably going to be BlackRock. It's not going to be you.
So, the big thing is, if you understand the the situation, how do we fix it? Now, I think there's a few different things to do, and one of them, in particular, is in your control. And I'm going to explain that in a second. But the first thing we need to recognize that this this is the problem, right? That all this money is flowing to the rich, and now the governments are so actually even beholden to the rich. If you look what's happening with Elon Musk and Donald Trump, you know, the the governments need the very rich people to stay in the country and and pay tax, um, but they also need them to prop up their political maneuvers, right? So, in England, for example, Nigel Farage and that whole party is literally every single week begging Elon Musk to send him 100 million, right? So, so they all get propped up by the rich. And then the the outcome is that the governments are inept. They're not there to help you. They can't. Um, they can tax the rich to get your votes, but then when everyone leaves, they're soon going to have to backtrack on that, and that's what's going to happen. So, uh, we have to understand where this all starts, and it starts in the education system, right? Because you are you are being trained to work for someone else. You're being you're being trained to work for the rich. Henry Ford and Carnegie said that's what they were doing. So, the school system needs an update. The amazing news is, with AI, I think we can personalize education. I think we can say, what's your personality? What do you like doing? What's your interest? What's your dream? And and stop asking, "What will you do when you grow up?" which is the school system's trap to make you go and work for someone else. And start asking, "What problem would you like to solve in the world?" right? And open up a young mind to a world where they're not just making money and doing it for themselves, but they're doing something to make society better, right? So, the education system can be updated, should be updated. Why are we not teaching financial literacy in school? I think we can all agree this is a problem. Let's fix it. Let's start changing it now.
I have an opinion that as much as I'd love to change the education system, I would argue it's working just fine for those that made it, right, made that system. Instead, I think we need to create an alternative, an alternative education system that personalizes education. I think things like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok are kind of starting to do this. This is why I put so much content on those platforms because young people are learning on those platforms. So, you know, and I want to be positive about the future and see how if we follow a certain plan, we can get out of this mess. And one part of it is to stop saying social media is so bad and accept that it's part of our life and make social media a social good, an education system, for example, that allows people to learn stuff that I couldn't learn when I was 20. Business, there was nobody. There was only people studying courses, and I couldn't afford them. So, if I'd had TikTok, if I had YouTube, this is an asset you've got, and you must start filling up your algorithm, your bubble, with knowledge, with the truth, with information that's going to help you have a better life. And you need to block influences that tell you you have no hope, and if you're poor, you're not going to make it, if you don't have rich parents, you're not going to make it. You've got to stop believing that that's true and start learning things that you will learn will help your life to be better, help you learn things about yourself, self-discovery, and then start doing things that help you have a better life and start believing it doesn't matter if you're rich or you're poor, you can make it. If you're from an underprivileged background or a privileged background, you can still make it. Get algorithms in your life, use them to your advantage. Everyone's slacking them off to make sure you get content that's going to help you. That's the first thing: self-educate. But also start to use these systems to educate people, people outside of the present education system that I think is broken. This is why I home-educate my son because I know the day he went, I took him to school when he was four, and they said, "What are you going to do when you grow up?" Instantly trapping his mind into a particular job, doctor, nurse, lawyer, which, by the way, it's all going to be replaced by AI by the time he's old enough. He's seven, by the time he's old enough, that's all gone anyway. That's all going to be done by AI and and robotics. It's not it's not going to be done by humans anyway. So, the present education system is not preparing people for the future. We have to accept the education system is broken, and we have to provide an alternative. That's that's step one.
Step two, and this is where you can take control, and I get a lot of hate for this, and I know it's not popular with everybody, but I genuinely think the entrepreneurship, which, by the way, is a new word, the last 20 years, but like I call it self-discipline and the ability to control your own day, your own life, your own future. That's maybe we need a better word for it. I'm still trying to think of one. But entrepreneurship isn't about everyone becoming Elon Musk, absolutely not. It's about someone who's a painter and loves painting, learning to put a business model behind it so you can do painting every day and enjoy it. If you like dog walking, figuring out a way to build an economic structure around it so you can do it because that's what you want to do. And so, you know, I like making videos that educate people and teach people something. So, great, there is a model around that. I can make a video, put it on YouTube, and I can make the money to cover the five people that are standing behind my camera right now, make sure they all get paid. I can I can I can basically take what I like to do and put a business model behind it, and then that pays for me to do what I love, as opposed to what people do now, which is get debt or buy stuff they don't need, and then have to get a job that pays them monthly because all these costs are monthly. And often those jobs, 90% of people in England, anyway, are not enjoying their work, right?
I propose, and and the hate I get is, I propose that everybody can be an entrepreneur. Everybody. I don't care if you're an introvert, an extrovert, you've got ADHD, you're shy, you're angry, it doesn't matter. You can be an entrepreneur. Now, what's important to understand is what does entrepreneurship mean? As I just said, it's not that everyone's going to be Jeff Bezos. You just need to define what is success for you. Right back to how the school system needs to be personalized to individuals. You need to personalize what your life should look like, what you want your life to be, and give, you know, in your, maybe even write it down. You get a notepad out now, write down, you know, what things do you like to do? And it can be as silly as, I like playing football. All right, okay. So, maybe you can become a footballer. Now, then people say, well, uh, I'm not, maybe they're not good enough to be a footballer. Okay, well, then maybe you become a sports commentator, or maybe you're training people who are good enough to be football players later. It doesn't matter. I think the most important thing is that we personalize our working lives, and that to me is what entrepreneurship is. It's an opportunity for you to take back control, not have to work for someone else.
Now, don't get me wrong. If you want to work for someone else and you enjoy your job, you know, don't subscribe to my channel, maybe great, you're happy. I don't I don't want to bother you. But I think there's millions of people that are blaming the rich, or blaming the left, or blaming the right, or or or blaming the system because their life isn't what they want it to be. And I'm saying through entrepreneurship, that's the vehicle I'm choosing, you can take back control. Now, write down exactly what you love to do, and then figure out if you spent all day doing this thing, would you be happy? Could you get good enough at it? If you practiced, would you, would you be willing to put the work in, training? Are you willing to train to be good at this thing? Have the discipline to turn up every day and do it? And then what's the business model behind it? Now, someone said to me yesterday, "I don't know business." I'm like, it's so simple. Business is so simple. You have a product, service, an idea that people, in an ideal world, will pay money for. And the cost of that thing that you provide has to be ideally a lot less than what you're charging. And all you need to do is get one customer, and then another, and then another. And typically, all you need to do is learn sales. And sales is really easy. It's really easy. You just need to tell a story. You need to say what you're offering and why. And then people say yes or they say no. And if they say yes, you get paid. And then your life costs are covered.
Now, I know it sounds simplistic, but it's entrepreneurship, the way out. It was the way out for me when I was 15 years old and homeless. I couldn't get a job because I didn't have a national insurance card. I couldn't get a job. And so the only way out, it turned out, was entrepreneurship. But no one taught me at school why. Why? It's another option for you on the table. It's another way for you to live your life. Now, I'm not saying it's easy to be an entrepreneur, but it's not easy working for someone else who tells you you can only have two weeks off a year, and when you can have that time off, and when to come in, and what to wear, and how to think, and what to say. That's not easy either. So, I want my dream is that you have the opportunity to do what you love. People hate me for this. They think I'm wrong. The argument is, well, if everyone's an entrepreneur, then who's going to do the jobs? You know, this was the argument for keeping slavery back in the day. People didn't want to get rid of the slaves because who's going to do the jobs? Right? We can't think like that, okay? And let's face it, everybody listening to this video now is not going to suddenly become an entrepreneur, although I would love that. I would love that. But and if that happened, by the way, let's say you work at Tesco's and you decided to become an entrepreneur and you're a Twitch streamer now, you want to make money, you're going to get sponsors, brilliant, right? Because if Tesco's haven't got anybody to fill the shelves up anymore, you know what will happen? They'll find robots to do it for them, or more home delivery, right? Humans shouldn't be doing these jobs anyway, and they're only doing them because it's cheaper to have you do it than a robot. The robots could do it, but they're more expensive than you, right? Whereas if you refuse to go in because you're a Twitch streamer now, and that's what you want to do, and you're enjoying your life, they'll have to make those robots cheaper. They will make more of them. They will be cheaper, and you won't have to do that job. But I don't think it's going to happen that quickly anyway. It's not like one video today you're going to watch, and everyone in the whole of the world's going to become an entrepreneur. But I want people to wake up and realize they could and have control over their own life, the ability to make money, not moan about the world, not cause friction in your own life because you're so frustrated. The rich have got all the money, or immigrants taken your job. Stop blaming other people. Take control of yourself, okay? That's the answer. And it might not be an easy answer because it's easy to blame someone else. Easy to blame the rich, the people that have made it, well, they got all the money. Or easy to blame an immigrant that's taken your job, right? It's easier, isn't it? Don't take the easy option. Don't take the simple option. Step up. Train your mind to be free. If you do it, you'll have purpose. And the purpose of life is a life with purpose.
Governments, people complaining online about how it's not possible on the world's all, let's have a solution. And my proposal is, if you have a dream, go and use the tools that are free to make it happen. There's many tools out there to help you learn how money works, to learn how to sell, to learn how to build a business you love. Put an economic model behind your hobby, right? Enjoy your life. Don't listen to the media telling you the world's up. If there's potholes in the road and you're annoyed by them, then fill them in. Make a TikTok about it, you'll make money on TikTok filling that pothole in, and then go fill another one in. You know, whatever the problems are, go out there and fix them. Do what I tell my seven-year-old: don't say, "What will you do when you grow up?" Think about what problems you can solve in the world instead, and go and do them. Have a purpose. And if you do, you'll be healthier, happier, you'll sleep better at night, and the world will get the problems fixed.
If everyone thinks this way, again, I will just say at the end here that of course, maybe not everyone wants to become an entrepreneur, and that's that's cool. But I at least want informed consent. And right now, you don't have it. You have not been given this option. You've been told it's not possible for you. That's not true. I was 15 years old, I was dyslexic, I was homeless, I had no skills, I had a bad education, I couldn't read. And entrepreneurship was the way out for me. You can do it too. I know it. Don't listen to the naysayers. Think of a positive way out, or whatever your difficult situation is, and build a life you want.
