[Music] Good morning, besties. Welcome to London. This is what I hope is going to be the first in a series of London vlogs. I'm going to try my best to post in real time as much as possible because I feel like it keeps it fun, funky, and fresh. I literally planned on filming so much of my trip that I've just done around Europe. And I filmed literally none of it. So, I'm very sorry for that. I have so much to tell you guys and catch you guys up on.

I got engaged to Ethan, obviously. You guys know him. You guys love him. I don't have the ring right now. It's actually getting resized. It was just like a little bit too big. And honestly, wearing a big ring around London. I was terrified it was just going to fall off or someone was going to steal it or something. So, it's in the shop. I think I'll be able to pick it up today or tomorrow. So, I'll show you guys. We can talk all about it. But right now, I'm actually kind of rushing off.

So, this morning I did a bunch of client work because I got to London a week ago, long story short, and I have just kind of been settling in, but also like doing a lot of fun things cuz for those of you who don't know, a bunch of my best friends live over here. And it's been literally so nice to have everybody live just down the street. Like honestly, it's my dream to live so close to so many of my best friends. So, I've been hitting up the pubs. I've had a pint every single day that I've been here. I've been catching up with people, seeing their houses, like doing the whole thing. And because of that, I've been really behind on all of my client work. So, this morning, I was like, "Guys, I can't do anything fun until I get this video done." And the video's done. So, now I'm going to do something fun.

Two of my Melbourne friends, Beth and Cal, who you guys will probably know cuz Beth has a YouTube channel. She's always in my vlogs, but she actually is here as well. Or they both are. They're doing exactly what Ethan and I are doing. Kind of like a living and working trip. I don't know if I've said that yet, but I'm here for 5 weeks. We've already had a week, so I'm here for another month. And I'm kind of just like living, working, but also it's it is a holiday, so I'm also doing fun things, catching up with friends, going to see family as well, the whole shebang. I'm talking a million miles an hour. But Beth and Cal are also here and Beth has never been to London. So alongside like, you know, hopefully introducing her to a bunch of my friends and all that kind of stuff, we need to do the sites. Okay. So today she's decided she wants to go and see the Big Ben. And I feel like she wants to see Tower Bridge and those kinds of things. I, for those of you who don't know, have been to London many, many times cuz this is where all of my extended relatives live, like grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles. Not a single person lives in Australia. So, I've done all of the big sites. Um, so honestly, today I wasn't even really planning on going because I was like, I have to do my client work, but I ended up finishing it in pretty good time. So, right now, Beth, Cal, and Ethan, my now fiance, is they're all at a coffee shop. So, I'm just gonna go and hopefully catch them either at the cafe or I'll catch them like I'll go meet them at Tower Bridge, I guess. I don't really know. But I'm very excited for a fun touristy day out. I think we're going to walk along the Thames as well. It's going to be really fun. I've also done the Thames walk basically exactly where we're going. But I also thought it could be really really fun to take you guys there because obviously I'm so lucky to have been to London so many times, but like most people haven't. So, for those of you who haven't been, these vlogs are going to be fun because I'm going to show you, you know, around London, but also I am going to keep the homebody style of my at home vlogs. They're going to be long, they're going to be chatty, they're going to be FaceTime. You guys know the vibes with a little mix of tourism sprinkled in. But I don't think they're going to be super like travel vloggy cuz honestly for me, no hate, no shade, but I just don't really watch travel vlogs. So, they're going to be very much a a mixture. So hopefully you guys enjoy. Please do let me know in the comments like cuz like I said I want to kind of post these realish time. Like I'm not going to have a posting schedule. It's going to be Vlogmas vibes I feel a little bit. So let me know as you're watching this what you like, what you don't like, and what you want to see more or less of, you know.

But anyway, I guess while I'm doing my makeup really quickly, I'll tell you guys about the trip we've just had. So the main purpose of this whole Europe trip was my best friend Jem and her lovely husband Pete. So crazy that I'm like in my late 20s and I feel like I'm just like an adult now, but I don't feel like one at all. But anyway, the purpose was they got married in Italy. It was the most insane wedding I've ever been to. It honestly felt like a celebrity wedding. It was so much fun. It was like a 3-day festival. Basically, I was the co-maid of honor with her sister, Sofh, and we just had the most amazing time. It really was like girlhood. H I just loved every part of it honestly. And obviously seeing them get married was just so beautiful. It was so much fun. So that was like the purpose of the trip. But before the wedding, we did London for 2 days. We went to Ireland to see Ethan's family. We did Amsterdam, which was so fun. And then went to Italy for the wedding. And then after the wedding, Ethan and I went to the Amalfi Coast, which is actually where he proposed, which I said I was going to talk about this later. So maybe I'll get Ethan to give a little proposal story time. But it was beautiful. It was perfect and we just had literally the best time. It was the most beautiful day. It was like actually the perfect day. And then from there, we came to London. And so we got here like uh 6 days ago. Time is flying. I knew this would happen, but time is absolutely flying. But I'm so excited to be here. I feel always feel really really at home in London because like I said, I've I just have so much family here and stuff. I've been here quite a lot. My parents are both British if you guys didn't know. They're both from London. So, it kind of feels like a second home. Not to sound lame, but the area we're staying in, where all of my friends live, is a new area. I've never stayed here with my family. So, it's been really fun to kind of feel familiar with the city, but like still get heaps of new experiences and stuff. But because I have been here so much, there's not really any sightseeing things I particularly want to do while I'm here. It really is mainly just like I want to catch up with friends. I want to do some shopping. Even though the exchange rate, you guys, is so [ __ ] It's literally over double. So, if I'm spending £450 on a coffee, that's $9 plus. Like, it's disgusting. But, you kind of just have to suppress and forget. It is really expensive. But, I'm so grateful to be able to work from anywhere. It makes it a lot easier cuz I'm like working right now technically. So, you know the vibes. I'm so grateful. But also, [ __ ] it's absolutely so expensive. Like, it's very depressing.

I also have so much to catch you guys up on from Melbourne before this trip because I, as you guys would have seen if you are like a longtime subscriber or a loyal subscriber, which I feel like those of you who are watching this video, you guys are the real ones. The reason I dropped off the internet is because I had the most [ __ ] time the week before this trip. I can't even tell you guys. I don't know how much detail I'm going to actually go into, but like I do need to have a little tease spill because it was absolutely the worst week of my life. Absolutely insane. So, I'm going to talk to you guys about that. We'll do a proposal story time as well. Like I said, we just have so much to catch up on. But for right now, I'm about to finish getting ready and then I'm going to run and pray that my friends are still at this coffee shop. I really need to get another pair of pants as well because I I mean I brought three but they just none of them fit quite right. So I've been wearing my overalls a lot and I feel like they're cute but also I don't know guys. Am I too old for overalls?

It is 13° right now and I'm not wearing a jacket. But London is just like Melbourne in the fact that even though it says it's 13° when you're in the sun it is so warm. It feels like 25 to me. I'm so grateful that I'm kind of like used to that climate because it would piss me off so much if I wasn't. To be fair, when I first moved to Melbourne, I got really pissed off because it's like four seasons in a day is the stereotype. Like that's what people say about Melbourne and it's so true for London as well. You literally need to pack layers at all times because otherwise like one moment you could be absolutely freezing your ass off and the next you'll be like sweating bullets. It's so annoying. But I'm so grateful for such a beautiful day. Obviously, you guys would know that London is like known to be very gray and very rainy, and that is true for sure. But we've had such stunning weather. And all of my friends who live here have said lately it's actually been so nice and such a beautiful summer. So, I don't know what's happening. Is it global warming? I'm not sure. But I'm grateful for the sun. It is cold, but it's sunny, and that makes such a big difference. Like, look at this behind me. So stunning, guys. I'm so happy to be here. I actually just feel so at peace. Like I don't know. I just I'm loving I'm loving it. And I'm just loving being by my friends. Like it I feel very whole at the moment, which I think is the main reason why I'm loving this so much.

Smile. You're on camera, [ __ ]. Thank you. I'm basically driving. Yeah. London, baby. On a bus. Did you tell them our news? We're engaged. Where's the We lost it. Sold it for bus money. Sold it for bus money. Guys, Ethan's driving the bus. It's crazy. [Laughter] Do you think there's something that's never been said in front of the Tower Bridge before? But hole face. It's not much of a tower. A free chalky milk. Yeah, it is. We found the Big Ben. We found the girthy Benjamin. We found Benjamin. He's girthy. He's definitely Girthy. So, who who was Ben, do we think? Oh, that's a great great question. Ethan's going to do some Googling. I think Ben is the bell, not the tower. He's just the bell in the in the tower. What's the tower? It was renamed Elizabeth Tower. Oh, Lizzy tower. That's right. And are you guys ready for Big Ben reveal three? Wait, I'm going to take my wide angle lens off. Okay, Big Ben reveal in three, two, one. Oh, that's so underwhelming. So far away. So far away. There it is, guys. Look. Wow. So big. So Ben, it's the perfect time. Like aesthetically, no, just in watch ads and stuff, they always have the hands at 10 and two cuz I think it's most aesthetic the place for the hands. And it's 2 to 10 right now. That is crazy. Crazy. I love you girls with the double. Who wants to come and grab my devices? Take it. Take it away from me. Am I a tourist? Guess we'll never know. Do that again. [Music] She's a London girl. I literally dress like the union. Yeah, you are. It's perfect. Can you plan that? Yeah, of course. Guys, it looks like you're in front of a green screen. That's crazy. Too small. Yeah. Wait. Yes. Okay. Wait. But you need to go a bit straighter cuz it's straight. No, no, no. Straighter. Like push push this way. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. Yep. Stay. H. There we go. Okay. Now, smile. How do you feel? I feel like an idiot. There's so many people. You don't like the attention? I love it. Cal just said they look like little penises. And they do. Baby Ben. Baby Ben. And the big one up here. Do you guys want to see a horse? Did you like that? Like horses. I I nodded to the guy and he gave me a nod back. We're friends, I think. I thought they weren't meant to like smile or anything. Hello. Hello. So, we're in Third Band Records in the downstairs, the blue room, as you can tell. Um, this is Jack White's new Fender guitar called the Triple Caster. And these are all the pedals that Jack White have released. Harriet's rocking out back here. I found a book. Fascinating start to be honest. Yeah, it's a series of short stories and each one of them starts at the end of the world. I'm sad. Literally, Golden Wonder. He made that a viral moment. Yeah, that's I was I was doing that. Wow, this video has a million views because of that moment. Ready salted? Yeah. So, they're ready to be salted. Yeah. Yeah. So, are they salted or they're ready to be salted? No, they're ready salted. Already salted. Or is it like are you ready? Salted. Just say salted. Ready salted like they're ready and salted. That's two different things. No, they're ready. Ready to be salted is unsalted. and ready. Salted or is salted. Are they ready to eat and salted? We got chips and it was a bag of air with five chips in it. This this whole bag. Try and guess how many g? Yeah. So, it's that size, right? Salted or unsalted? Already salted, actually. Already salted per pack. 32.5 g. What did you get? What would British Sabrina Carpenter sing about? Only enter through the m Hey guys, I'm now four pints down. Five. Four. Guys, we're leaving the Irish pub after 5 hours. Are we cold? I'm cold. Okay, let's go. We're going to find Beth a London hoodie right now.

Good morning, besties. Back again in my favorite bathroom. I am feeling like I'm getting sick. You can maybe hear it in my voice. I'm just feeling a little under the weather. So, the day that I vlogged was not yesterday. It was the day before. Yesterday, I was pretty hung over. I'm not going to lie. But honestly, we had so much fun. The vibes were absolutely immaculate. Just like doing the sightseeing, having some beers. Like, it was so so so much fun. It was the perfect day. But, as they do say, drinking borrows tomorrow's happiness. Because yesterday, I wasn't sad, but I was just like very very tired. So, I basically just rot all day. But then actually in the evening, I ended up going into Oxford Circus, which is one of the main, I would say, the main shopping street in London, and I bought some shoes. I got these. How cute are they? They're like tiny little kitten heels. I've decided that in my 30s, I want to wear nice shoes. So, stay tuned to find out how much I wear these. And then after we went shopping, I went to dinner just at a friend's place. So, like nothing that you guys actually missed, but I was honestly just so so tired. If you've watched my vlogs before, you'll know I'm such a homebody. It's crazy. But here, I'm like obviously trying to make the most of the time that I have with the people who live here. So, I'm out and about. I've gone out every single day. Like in Melbourne, there are many days in a row in which I don't like I'll leave the apartment, but not to see anyone. I'll just like go for a walk or something like that. So, it's a big it's a big change, but it's really fun and obviously wouldn't want it any other way. But what it's meant is that I think I'm just a little bit rund down. Obviously, also I have been drinking a bit, so trying to tone that down as well. It's just so easy to like go for a pint at a bar here. I guess it's easy in Melbourne as well, but you know, when you're traveling, it just like everything feels different. Money doesn't feel real. Life doesn't really feel real. So, I'm just like embracing the whimsy of life, dare I say, a little bit more here.

But anyways, today I'm having a more chill day. Although, I am still leaving the apartment. My engagement ring is ready. I actually just put this ring on my um left hand cuz I felt so I just feel so sad without it. But engagement ring is ready. And Jem actually got hersized as well. So, we are going to go pick that up together. And then I'm going to pop back here quickly grab some of my themes like my laptop and my laundry. The one thing about this place is it does not have a washing machine. So, I'm going to go over to Jem's apartment this afternoon and do some work and also get some laundry done cuz wow, this hair looks bad. I'm just like running out of clean clothes that I actually want to wear. I mean, my, as you've probably noticed, I feel like I wore this exact same thing the last day I vlogged, but my wardrobe is very limited here, which is good because it means I don't have to think about what I'm wearing in the mornings. But also, I want my black jeans. Um, and they are dirty. So, I need to just get some stuff washed. In terms of work and stuff, you guys are probably like curious maybe about what I'm actually doing while I'm over here. and I am still working for all of my clients, but it just so happens that I feel like I've kind of intersected this trip with a more chill client period. So, which is actually so perfect and so nice. So, I'm probably working like one one to two days a week realistically while I'm here, which is so nice. But one of my goals being here is to try and write a book. So, I'm going to spend the afternoon with Jem and I'm going to try and get some of my book written.

I cannot figure out this hairstyle. I've been loving doing this whatever this hairstyle is with a clip. It's like a half up, half down because I've been hating having my hair on my face and these [ __ ] curtain bangs. I didn't ask for these. Oh my god, I still have to give you guys a story time of everything that happened before I left. Maybe we'll do that tonight. I don't know. Anyways, but the hair was part of the journey. Um, I didn't want curtain bangs. They are on my face now, so I can't remove them. But at least with this half up, half down, I feel like it's at least like a little bit off my face, more so than if it was all down. But yeah, you guys, the hair was such a journey. I'm just going to put some hair oil to try and I need to get hairspray. Um, that would make this so much easier. But one step at a time. Also, I bought this hair oil because my hair got absolutely [ __ ] before I left. So, I'm trying to like get it back to being healthy again. And I bought this hair oil. I saw it on Tik Tok. People loved it. And it's so good. Can confirm. Does not make my hair greasy at all, which I've never had a hair oil not make my hair greasy. So, that's a first. And it smells so good. Like, it actually smells amazing. I'm very, very, very happy with that purchase. It wasn't super cheap, actually, but nothing really is in this city.

I was going to maybe put makeup on, but I think I think I shan. I don't think I want to do all of that. I just realized I haven't given you guys an apartment tour, so let's do that. It's really messy. And as you will be able to see, it's very odd. This place is very strange, but let's do a tour. Okay, this is the front door. And then we're on like a kind of basement level, which is why it's a bit dark. This is the living room. The owner has said she's keep saying she's an interior designer and I'm like where's the evidence design part? Yeah. Like I'm seeing interior. I'm not sure I'm seeing design but anyway I'm also being a hater. I'm so grateful. Like actually it's it's funny to like joke about it but this place is genuinely more than we actually need. So living room overview. This is a massive table which it was kind of in the middle but we've pushed it to the side just so that we can actually like properly walk through. This is where I work. And then this is the kitchen, which is honestly so big and actually really nice. Through the wallpaper, we have this room. This is the weird place in our house. So, this is advertised as it sleeps eight people, but she's just left these like giant mattresses here, which is really odd. But anyway, this is Ethan's workstation. Like I said, there's a lot of mess, so ignore little couch here. And then out here, we have a courtyard. It's a shared courtyard, but it's so so so pretty out here. And it kind of makes up for how dark the rest of the apartment is because when we want sunlight, we can just go outside. And it's really nice to have a space outside where I can work. And then up these tiny little stairs, we have our bedroom, which is again such a mess. I'm sorry, guys. I just I am who I am. But I will say this bed is so [ __ ] comfortable. I've been sleeping like an absolute baby. And then there's clothes storage up here. And this is just the mess down here is because we're doing washing. So, and then finally, we actually have two bathrooms. Um, one of them is down in that mattress room that I showed you guys. And then this is our on suite, which is absolutely massive. Like, bathtub. This is where I vlog. Sorry, I don't know why this camera makes me so tilted all the time, but this is where I've been vlogging. Good morning. It's really big, as you guys can tell. like it's really spacious which is nice cuz we do both work from home but you know a couple of little I don't know compromises I guess but for London I feel like it's pretty good and yeah we're pretty happy we've had friends over already and it's a pretty nice hosting space again like the couch and stuff maybe not so ideal but honestly it's just so nice to have a a base a place that we can feel like actually at home in like I walk in this door and I feel relaxed I definitely sounded like a hate during that. I am not trying to complain. I just I'm in a little bit of a hateful like not hateful mood, but like I feel like talking [ __ ] you know what I mean? But no, this place is great. We're so grateful. Obviously very aware that like most people can't just come to London for a month and work. But also, when you're spending a decent amount of money, like this place was not cheap. When you're spending a lot of money on a place, you want it to be you want it to be good. Do you know what I mean? And mainly just the communication with the chick has been a little bit odd, dare I say. But it's totally fine. On a sunny day like today, that is just everything. So, like I said, I'm going to leave in well, I'm going to leave in about 5 minutes, actually. Um, I need to get some cash out because this engagement ring guy wants to be paid in cash. Um, slate. We love supporting tax evasion. Got my bank card. Let's go pick up this ring and then I can show you guys.

Good morning, Bessies. I'm so sorry. I feel like this whole vlog has just been me kind of getting ready for something and then like not taking you there. I'm so sorry for that. I'm honestly just still figuring out like how to be here in London and balance like work and seeing my friends and then vlogging is like a whole another element to it that I'm honestly I'm kind of out of practice. I haven't really been filming in like the last couple months. So, please bear with me. I promise the vlogs will get better. Well, I think they'll get better, but as you guys know, a few days ago, I went to get my ring back. This is her. Isn't it so beautiful? I don't know how to show it. Honestly, something I've learned is that hands are so awkward. Or at least my hands are like trying to take cute little ring pics. So awkward. But this is it. It's so pretty. It's got like a bunch of stones around. My god, my pinky around the band. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I'm obsessed. I love it so much. I wake up every morning and put it on. It's like the perfect size. Love it. Gorgeous.

As I've said throughout this video, there are a couple of things I want to talk about before we finish up this vlog. So, thought we'd have a little chat with my coffee. Firstly, I'll quickly tell you guys what happened before I left for this trip. The first thing that happened is I decided that I wanted to go blonde. Originally, I wanted this. I'll put a photo of it up on the screen. Just like I felt like a chill blonde ballet. Some other important context is that I had a hairdresser who I loved so much and trusted so deeply. However, she ended up moving states, which was so sad. So, I had to find a new hairdresser. So, I get to this hair salon and I meet this man and he's really nice, but like a little intense off the bat. Like within 20 minutes of me sitting down, he's almost crying, like kind of trauma dumping on me. And I had a really bad gut feeling about it, but I was like, I'm such a paper pleaser. I was like, "Okay, great." Like, and he kept this thing happens to me all the time where hairdressers are like, "Natural. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You want it natural?" And I'm like, "I never said that I wanted it natural. I just said that I wanted this photo. Like whether it looks natural or not, like obviously I'd hope that you do a good job so that it kind of looks like a livedin blonde. But like I never said natural, but I feel like hairdressers love to do that. I'm sorry if you're a hairdresser, but like also you probably will know what I mean. It is kind of common with especially if you want to go blonde. Pretty much every bad hairdresser I've had has started off by being like, "We'll make it look really natural." And I'm like, I just want to go blonde. So, like, that's my goal. Do you know what I mean? Anyway, to cut a long story short, I basically ended that hair appointment with hair that was darker than what I walked in with. And I'll put a photo of it up here. It was not blonde at all. Um, it basically looked like I'd gone back to my natural color, whereas when I went into the salon, I at least had I still had like leftover blayage, so I had like blonde ends, whereas he' kind of darkened it all. got home and I looked in the bathroom mirror and you always know once you look in your own lighting and your own home whether you like your hair or not. I looked in the bathroom mirror and I was like I'm brunette. So then the next day I had to call them which was the scariest thing. I had to call them to be like hey I came in to go blonde and I've left feeling like I'm darker so can I come back in and get it dyed? She was like yeah just like leave it for 2 weeks. it might just be the toner and then come back. And I was like, I'm actually leaving to go to Europe in 4 days. So, look, I need this done now. So, anyway, I went back in, same hairdresser again. He was really nice about it. He redid it. Ethan came with me to make sure that like we asked all the questions and like just confirming it'll look like this photo. I get to the end of the appointment and it's not like the photo again. And in fact, I'll put a photo on the screen. I left with this real red tinge in my hair. That was um horrible. And the thing is in the chair when they're like, "Are you happy with it?" Like, what else am I going to do at this point? I don't really have time to go and get it fixed. I also don't trust this man to do my hair anymore. So, I was like, I'm just going to say it's fine and I'm just going to leave because I need to actually protect my piece. more context. But like the reason I didn't say anything as well is because I just didn't believe that he was good at this point because he kept telling me that like my hair couldn't go a particular kind of blonde, like a particular level. But he kept telling me that like it wasn't possible without damaging my hair and like all of this stuff. And I was like, I have had this level of blonde done so many times by every other hairdresser. So like I just didn't trust that he knew what he was talking about. And the other thing was he gave me curtain bangs, which I didn't ask for. I asked for like long layers, so like down to my chin. But he just cut curtain bangs without asking me. They didn't blend into my hair. Like it was like a chunk of hair on the front. And then like with curtain bangs, my understanding is you're meant to kind of taper them. So like kind of cut layers down the front of your hair so that they blend with the rest of your hair. But he just didn't do that.

The whole time that this hair stuff is happening. I also have a friend who was going to look after Esme, our cat, for the two and a bit months that we're away for. But unfortunately, that friend ended up going through something. I'm not going to say what, but going through something really serious and I had to make the decision that I don't think she was in the right space to be able to care for Esme anymore. I had about 4 days to try and find somebody to look after my cat who in that moment Ethan and I were like, we either have to find somebody or we going to have to put her down. She's 19. We can't move her around. We can't give her to some like it just actually doesn't feel right. She needs like a pretty high level of care, I would say, at least. So, we were just like so stressed. It was so stressful. and the friend who was meant to look after Esme. Basically, she really wanted to look after Esme still, I had to make that decision. And then I felt like I was letting her down. And also something really kind of scary happened with her that I was involved in. We ended up in the hospital. So like it was just like a really [ __ ] week. Like it was so bad. And so then I'm on this catsitting website trying to find a [ __ ] catsitter. And like it was so stressful. Thank god we found a catsitter. And then my friend Ra is staying in our apartment for like a month. I would die without her. I'm so grateful for her. And then I have another catsitter. It's like the catsitter Olympics in my apartment. Like it's crazy. And I'm just like over here doing all of the admin, like making sure that they all get in. And it's crazy. Back to the hair stuff. Like that's all happening. Finding Esme a catsitter, which I was doing in the hair salon at my second touchup appointment. I ended up calling this other salon and I was like, "Hey, listen. This is what's just happened to me. I feel like my hair's been [ __ ] Can you fit me in to try and fix it, please? Because at this point, I was like, I don't want to go to my best friend's wedding, which again, like I said in this video, was the purpose of my trip. And I'm a maid of honor. I don't want to go and be redhead and like not feel good about my hair. So, I go to this other salon. The woman is like, "Transparently, that hairdresser has ruined your hair. It's so brittle. It's so unhealthy. he did. I don't understand how he did that. Like she was looking at the color and she's like he's like lifted it wrong or something like that. Like it's gone red, not blonde. And like genuinely, I've never seen something like this. She's like, "How long has he been working as a hairdresser?" I was like, "He said 19 years." She's like, "He needs to be he needs to leave the industry." Like that's how bad it was. Again, like I don't know if she was being dramatic. Like I honestly just don't trust hairdressers at this point. She also validated that the curtain bangs were terrible cuz the thing is like I'm not a hairdresser so I don't I'm just seeing what I see but like I don't [ __ ] know. But I walked in and she was like what has he done to your curtain bangs? Like they didn't blend at all. It was just like a chunk like I said before. And she validated that. So she actually gave me like a free haircut. Basically I went in for a consultation but then I had to come back later to get my color fixed. And during the consultation she was like I'm just going to give you a free haircut. I can't in good conscience like let you walk out with those cut bangs. Anyway, she told me the things that she could do to fix it. She's like, "It's not going to look exactly like the photo, but I can try my best and like I'll book you in with our senior stylist and we'll fix it." So, that is the hair that I have now. Unfortunately, what I am finding with the hair that I have now is because of what he did, my roots and like my hair just still kind of goes a little bit warm. And also she did these like um front pieces which I did ask for but I think because the blonde is cool and this is warm it just in certain lightings it makes me want to jump off a cliff. But for the most part it's fine. I'm just like never I'm just going to have my natural hair from now on. I think until I can find like a good hairdresser because it was I I don't mean to sound dramatic cuz I know it's just hair but it actually was so [ __ ] traumatizing especially because I'm I struggle so much to advocate for myself and I'm such a people pleaser and like it's just so hard to sit in that chair and be like I don't like what you've done or like I just wish that people could just do their jobs. Like I'm sorry I know it's not that easy all the time but like you're a hairdresser. What I asked for is was not complicated. Like especially cuz you have blayage on your [ __ ] website. Like what I asked for my old hairdresser did no problems. Like first go. It took her 3 hours. Like it wasn't hard. So I just don't understand why he couldn't do it. Also very important to mention that the first hair appointment was $550 [ __ ] dollars and then they did the two touch-ups for free which kind of ruined my hair further. And then because obviously the different salon that I ended up getting it fixed at, like they they don't owe me anything for free. So I had to pay $480 at that salon. And then after this whole experience, like I said, I had advocated to get my hair fixed with the owner. But then after the second time, I was like, I just need to tap out. So Ethan sent an email to the original salon and asked for compensation. Cuz that's what the salon who fixed my hair, they were like, you should ask for compensation like to at least get a partial refund. So we did that via email and they never got back to us. So, unfortunately, I am going to have to write them a terrible review because I like I'm such a compassionate person who really tries to see the best out of everybody. And the woman running a business, like she was lovely. It's no fault of hers, but he works for her and it does reflect on her business. And like, I can't let other people go to that salon and have the same experience with that man. Like, it was the worst. And I wouldn't wish that upon [ __ ] anyone. To want to go blonde and then to leave a red head is insane when you're paying $550. So, sorry. I am going to have to be like a bit of a Karen and leave a bad review and I also might post a Tik Tok rant. Anyway, it was [ __ ] It was so bad. And then the Esme stuff on top was so stressful. So that was my time before I left. But now that I'm away, it's all fine. I'm engaged. I'm on holiday. Essay's safe and happy and loved and everything's fine. But it was just a really [ __ ] time and I had to skip so much of like my friend stuff. But that was a massive part of it as well. Just being really worried for someone that you love is like not nice at all and it was just a lot. So um it was a crazy time. It was a crazy time.

I know that I said as well that I would get Ethan on to talk about like a bit of an engagement story time, but he's asleep and I just really want to finish this vlog. So, I thought I'd quickly just tell you. There's no like massive story. Um, I just love my ring. I think it's so pretty. So, we were in the Amalfi Coast and Ethan was like, "We need to go to these gardens in a town called Rall to this villa. It's called Villa Simon, I believe. I'll put photos of it up on the screen. It's the most beautiful place." He was like, "Oh, Jem, who's my best friend, she like recommended we go there. They toured like a wedding. They toured a wedding venue there and like she just loved it. She said, "We have to do it." And I was like I was like, "Cool, amazing." Like honestly after the wedding, like Jem's wedding, I hadn't thought about anything else. So I was like, "Ethan, you can take the reigns on like planning this leg of the trip. Like I'm so chill." And so we went to Villa Bron at sunset and it was the perfect day. Like it was so beautiful. Um it's just like these gardens, these beautiful gardens, like very well manicured. It's in this kind of what's in a villa like in this hotel, but there are there's public access. You just pay like €10 to get in. So, we did that and then there's like this viewing platform, but it's like got these Roman busts and like you're looking just you're on a cliff. Like, it's so beautiful. It felt like we were in a dream, honestly. And then, yeah, Ethan was like, I'd love to get some photos. And I was like, cool. We took some photos, but then his storage ran out. And the photos went like I just feel like we weren't stoked with the photos. So then um Ethan was like clearing his storage and he's like, "I'm going to go ask someone to take photos." And I was like, "Cool. I'm going to go find this cat that I saw before." So I went off to find this cat. And then when I came back, Ethan had found this couple. And he was like, "Would you mind taking some photos of us?" And they were like, "Absolutely." And then we went to like the kind of railing like the edge of the viewing platform and he like pulled me in for a hug and I was like, "Are we not taking photos? Like these people are waiting on us." And then he proposed to me and it was so beautiful. It was honestly like the perfect moment. He did such an amazing job. Like it was Yeah, it felt really private even though there were people kind of around us but like it didn't really matter. I thought that I thought that I didn't want like it to be busy because I get a bit nervous when people are like all staring. But actually in the moment it wasn't busy at all by the way, but in the moment as well like I just didn't you just don't care. Like not to sound cliche, but I didn't even notice people around us. Like it was just so beautiful. It felt like just me and him. And yeah, that lovely couple actually filmed the whole thing. Which apparently before Ethan had asked them like, "I'm gonna like ask you to take a photo, but like I need you to film." So, he filmed the whole thing as well, which is so beautiful. I'll put some photos. Maybe I'll put the video up. I'm not too sure yet what I'll share, but it was perfect. It was so beautiful. And then we had a drink in the gardens afterwards. And I got to hear all the tea, all the tea of like, how did you take this ring around Europe with you? and I didn't know who did you talk to about this like just the whole thing. Um so yeah, it was honestly perfect.

But anyway guys, that's everything that you've missed. I wish I was vlogging for more of it, but also I just like didn't have the capacity. So it just kind of is what it is. But we're making up for it by doing these London vlogs. Like I said, I really do want to try and make these more like vlogmasy. So, maybe I'll do like a day, like maybe I should start just filming the days, like, you know, one day vlogs. I don't know. Stay tuned to find out what I decide to do. But I hope you guys are excited for this London adventure. I think it's going to be so much fun. Actually, only here for another 3 weeks, which is insane. Thank you guys so much for watching. I love you so much. And I have already started filming my second London vlog, so I will see you very soon. But I hope you guys are well. Let me know how you're doing in the comments. I feel like I've done my catch up. Now it's your turn. I want like an essay paragraph on everything that you've been up to since I've been gone because I really miss you guys so much. What have you been doing? How have you been feeling? What have you been reading? All of the all of the above. And I'll see you guys next time. Bye. [Music]
