So you saying a God made the the stars and the the universe in Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Yeah. And all the things all the the the birds that fly, including bats, the insects that walk on all fours. Come on. Right. This is almost like it's the knowledge of humans of the day, right? Um that isn't the same that isn't the same level of wrongness as the fact that we've mapped back the universe to 14 billion years ago.

So the big bang is a theory when it first was proposed and it's back actually you go all the way back to 19 sort of 18 or something to to when when Einstein's theory of relativity was published general relativity. So it's it's in there as a prediction that that the universe would have begun it was possible the universe begun very hot and very dense. So there's a prediction there that if you look out in to a distant objects. So let's say you look at the Andromeda galaxy which is the closest galaxy to us. It's two million light years away or so, which means that the light takes two million years to get to us, which means you see it two million years in the past. >> Yeah. >> 4 million light years and it's four million years in the past and so on. >> So, there's a prediction that if you look far enough away, you should see a universe that's different to ours because it should be so hot that there were no galaxies and no stars. Yeah. >> And we've done that and we saw it. It's called the cosmic microwave background radiation. Yeah. So, so we can take a photograph of the universe in the past when it was different, when it was very hot.

>> How far what's the furthest photograph in time uh that you've >> It is that is it's the is the cosmic microwave background which is 380,000 years after the big bang. >> Wow. >> So, we know that >> 380,000 years after. So, we know that before that time the universe was so hot that atoms couldn't form and the universe was opaque to light just like a soup of electrically charged particles and light couldn't go through it. So you can't see through it. >> But then as the universe cool down there is a direct prediction first of all that it gets cold enough for atoms to form and at that point it becomes transparent. Yeah. >> And the light from that time should then be able to travel in straight lines across the universe and we should be able to take a picture and we have done with a satellite called plank. >> So we've taken the picture. So when people say I don't believe in the big bang theory, you can say well here is a picture of course of the are direct predictions >> and that's what people want and we all do and I do it and I get frustrated that you know I I can't explain a theory or or you know anything like that. I want to hold it up and say there it is. And um >> the other amazing one actually is that so we know the universe is about 25% hydrogen 75% helium and pretty sorry the other way around 25% helium 75% hydrogen pretty much nothing else. So the two simplest elements in that 3/4 to a quarter ratio and it was a big puzzle because we know that stars make helium out of hydrogen. That's what the sun's doing.
