In this video, I'm going to show you how to build your own AI employee and use it to market itself. So be sure to watch this entire way through.
All right, so I have Solo pulled up and this is MTC, which stands for More Than Coding. And Solo is a great cloud cloud alternative since cloud code decreased the limits, so it's it's absolutely abhorrent to use it sometimes, especially when you hit your limits. So Solo is a great alternative because it's extremely efficient, extremely smart. You can launch multiple tasks. It has its own skill base. It's it's pretty straightforward, right?
So what we're going to be doing is we're going to say, "Solo, I need you to create a PRD for an AI tool that can generate LinkedIn posts in a storytelling and value-based format so I can increase my LinkedIn followers and generate B2B leads." So I just gave that voice prompt. Boom. All right. So now it'll create a PRD for us. Click send. I'll select a project. Let me select a project real quick. Um Let's make a new folder. Solo is cool. Open that up. Allow. Allow.
All right. So while this is, you know, doing its thing, I'll create a new task again. Because again, we can fire multiple tasks at the same time. You can see some of the other things it can do from web reading to research analysis, data mining, file management, all, you know, very useful tasks. But as right now, we're just going to be waiting for Solo to hurry up and create this PRD. And we're going to pass that PRD into itself to go ahead and create a nice UI that we can look really, you know, that we can show other people and potentially sell them on.
These are some questions Solo's asking us. Who's the primary user persona for this tool? Um Honestly, all of them, right? I I can I'll say founder or solo consultants first. That's who we're targeting. Which integrations are in scope are in scope of V1? LinkedIn posting. No, we're not going to have API that posts direct to LinkedIn. Right now we just need to Yeah, focus on generation quality and then copy-paste posts. Yep. Use Make sure to specify to use modern styling. Of course you want our UIs to look beautiful. We don't want no janky UIs.
All right. So now that Solo understands what it needs to be doing, we're just going to wait for it to generate this PRD. All right. So it is now done. You can check out the PRD right here. So now what we're going to be doing is All right. Use the PRD and build out a UI a functional UI that accomplishes everything stated in the PRD. Okay. So now we have our PRD. We're going to go ahead and and use it to actually build out our MVP. You can see what's included. You have four post types, brief form hook generator, adding actions, library, copy to clipboard, um analytics, risk and mitigations, open questions. It's asking me some more questions right here, but let's go ahead and just keep looking through this real quick. Storytelling post structure, value-framing post structure, CTA question, reduce AI tone. Okay. Um It broke down the problem very well, which is good. Positioning anxiety, inconsistent, and then time cost. These are big goals right here. We want The whole point of this is to make things faster for founders cuz most founders don't have the time to be posting on LinkedIn every single day. Um I'm one of those people. Like I should be posting on LinkedIn every single day, but I am not. And that's not a good thing. That's a pretty bad thing. Right? So I need to fix that and this tool is not only for you all, but it's also for myself.
Okay. To what front-end stack should I use for this UI? Um let's go with Next.js. How should Jerry work in this build? Okay. So it needs an API key. Um For now, okay, I should give API key, right? All right. So I'll I'll go pass an pass an API key to this. How should drafts be stored? Only local storage for now. Um submit.
Okay, so let me give this my API key. And Solo has now built our application. It has artifacts right here. Okay. We're going to locally open the folder, create environment, set So it's telling us how we can run it. Let's ask, "Are you able to run it for us?" All right. So we can run this. Open the project folder, npm install. So let's go ahead and open this up. We're just doing your code. Solo is cool. Open that up.
All right. So Solo gives us the exact directions we need to follow. So we're just going to open this folder up. Run npm install. Okay. So npm install worked. So now we're going to run this command. And believe we have example.env.locals. We can delete that. Oh, I guess we can just keep that for now. So we got go ahead and put the OpenAI key right here. All right. And I will be deleting this, so don't try to like use this key because I'll delete it. And then you run npm dev. Okay. So npm run dev.

Now what we can do is um we can tell Well, one, we can like generate the like these posts that we have. We can just copy and paste them into LinkedIn to just drive more like traffic to our page. Second, we can use Tray Second, we can use Tray to come up with a marketing plan via LinkedIn for this tool he just made. Make the marketing plan be LinkedIn centric. Example is a series of seven posts. Example is example is a series of seven posts that's marketing this tool. We're going to use our solo to market our LinkedIn tool on LinkedIn. And hypothetically we could even use oh I would Hypothetically we could even use this tool to write LinkedIn posts on the tool itself. Which is funny. Yeah, I love how fast solo is.
Okay, so post one problem story I posted it good. Is this too short? No. Short form post. Okay, let's say the niche is kind of exactly what we're doing with this tool. The niche is founders and can you write out the entire posts so I can copy paste. Yes, I'm being lazy. I know. This is a point. This is why we have tools like solo to let us be lazy and still have efficient efficient output.
Okay, so now what I did was I told solo to come with a marketing plan via LinkedIn and it came with like an outline of seven posts, right? I wanted to make a seven post LinkedIn like sequence. So then I said these are some pretty good posts, not going to lie. So why don't you actually write the entire post? And this is what it came up with. It's funny cuz we're using this we're using solo to make LinkedIn posts to market our LinkedIn tool and conversely we can also use our LinkedIn tool to make LinkedIn posts to market itself. It's a funny way this is all working.
So we want to demo we want to bring people to this tool, right? So we can do is this. I have to put my ad in your writing. I used to think consistency on LinkedIn. Is that this one problem? Let's copy this. This is actually pretty good. I'm not going to I don't think we need to use another one, but okay, copy this. There you are. There you go. Copy that. Some other posts just in case you do find a better post. Actually I like this one. There you go. I found a better one already. This has more value. What this is doing is it's giving value to the user. So when they see this post like hmm, if they if you have a tool that does it that does all this for us, that'd be pretty good. So I copy that. And then I can tell solo make more posts like this one. See, solo is great for not just development but also marketing, which is why it's very useful.
But in the meantime we can go to LinkedIn and you know, after doing the marketing is pretty easy. Like you simply just um go to your profile. Oh shoot, start a post. Oh no. Create a post. Oh, notification just came and then Trey. See, solo moves so fast that's actually crazy. It's not cuz you use structure. So if you want to go LinkedIn There you go. Now it's a nice solid post and I can just go ahead and post it.
Okay, now you can see right here I it wrote more posts in the framework that we liked. So it's the line one, line two, line three. Another structured breakdown one. Specificity, tension, proof. More or less numbers. Let's do bullet points, numbers. So it's basically getting what we're already using and repurposing it to make more posts like that original one.
