Has anybody ever stayed in a hotel where they offered you a monitor in your room? Either for money or for free.
Now, this very simple observation, I've stayed in a lot of hotels. We all stay at the Moxy this evening, which I actually love. Cuz it takes what hotels did and does it backwards. You know, the room's tiny, it's perfectly clean, it's fine. There's no laundry, there's no. But on the other hand, there's like a 24-hour barista on the ground floor. It's a kind of hotel done backwards. I wouldn't stay there for 2 weeks, by the way. I mean, but if you've got a one- or two-night stay, it's it's exactly what you need.
Another example, the monitor. Look, if you just did that, but I spend much more time in my own hotel rooms working than I do watching TV. But for some reason, there's an enormous TV, and I'm staring at this stupid little laptop screen. The potential for it, I think, is quite high.
But then you have this finance mentality, which looks at the DoubleTree cookie and goes, "Well, it's not enough service level agreement. Nobody else does it, so let's get rid of it." It's amazing how quickly you destroy what makes something fundamentally valuable.
