Hey guys, it's Morgan, and today I'm going to be taking you to a Cajun seafood place called Rockfish. And we're going to show you what the food looks and tastes like, how to order in English, and just have a friendly conversation with the staff. So let's go.

Okay, so here we are at Waters Creek, and this is one of our favorite places to come picnic because they have a beautiful green area and a lot of shopping around with lots of food. So let's show you. Now, I've got the regular menu here. Lunch specials are on the back. Perfect.

"Okay, what would y'all like to drink?"

"Some water, tea."

"I will start with the tea, please."

"Sweet or unsweet?"

"Sweet, please."

"Sweet. Any lemon or lime, or just the tea?"

"Uh, just, just the tea is fine. Thank you."

"And I think I'll just have water."

"No lemon?"

"No lemon."

"Okay. There's a lot of choices here. What are you thinking you're going to get?"

"I don't know. The crawfish are really good here."

"Yeah. What looks good to you?"

"I don't know. Probably, I don't really love fish unless it's not cooked. So what about Cajun pasta?"

"I'll probably get, nah, I'll probably get a fishless favorite. So they have cheeseburgers, chicken, and tenderloin fillets."

"So we came to a seafood place and you're not going to order seafood?"

"Well, I thought it had sushi. I thought there was sushi here."

"Oh, maybe I will get, I don't know. They have chicken alfredo pasta."

"I need time to think about it. Fish tacos."

"Oh yeah. What is that?"

"They have Santa Fe tacos with cod, and they have Atlantic salmon tacos with salmon."

"I don't even know what those fish are."

"You're on the wrong side of the menu."

"Oh, salmon is the pink one, and cod is more of like a white, flaky fish. So the Santa Fe tacos, I would do Santa Fe because cod is usually pretty good. I'll do that."

"Santa Fe. That sounds good. What are you getting?"

"I don't know."

"I got a sweet tea to drink. I'm going to get a crawfish."

"Okay, Mom, you got to stop."

"I know, I can't help it."

"Questions about anything on the menu?"

"I think we're ready to order."

"So what we do today, I, it was a very tough decision, but I think I'm going to do the pasta in Cajun."

"Now, would you prefer Cajun pasta or alfredo pasta?"

"Cajun is everything on your pasta?"

"Oh, can I get it without the peppers?"

"Of course. And then I'll do the Santa Fe tacos, please."

"You want lunch size or dinner size?"

"I'll do the lunch size."

"And would you prefer shrimp, chicken, or fish?"

"I'll do chicken."

"And grilled, fried, or blackened?"

"Grilled."

"Grilled. Anybody eat tacos?"

"Louisiana hot sauce?"

"No, thank you."

"I'll be back in a moment. Thank you."

"Thank you."

"So what's new?"

"Still in school. That's about it."

"We've both been so busy lately that we hardly even see each other. I feel like, I know, between school and work, and you take classes during the day and I take classes at night, so we never see each other."

"So we got some comments from some of the viewers, so we're going to read a couple of them."

"Morgan, what is your dream for the future?"

"My dream is probably to travel the world. I want to go everywhere, and I would love, love to model in every location that I travel to. That would be ideal, but unrealistic right now."

"What would you want to eat if we went to Japan?"

"Sushi, 100%."

"What's your favorite kind of sushi?"

"Um, I like the California roll. I like crunchy sushi, but I also like, um, yellowtail."

"Yellowtail?"

"Mhm. Yeah, that's my favorite fish."

"We have seen some pictures of this sushi, sushi in sushi, sushi in Japan, and it looks way better than our sushi here. All the food in Japan looks so good. It looks a lot fresher, a lot less processed."

"It probably is a lot fresher."

"So if someone in Japan wanted to come visit in Texas, what spots in Texas would you recommend they visit?"

"I'm not a huge fan of Texas, but if you were to come here and visit, definitely South Padre Island. It's, um, where South Texas and, oh yeah, South Padre. Yeah. So that's the prettiest beach we have in Texas, in my opinion."

"Or Austin is very young. There's a lot of young college students that live there, so I feel like there's a lot more to do. Um, and in San Marcos, there's a river that you can float. They have these big float-up tubes, and you float down the river. It's a lot of fun, especially with a bunch of college students."

"I have heard, I don't know if it's true, but I've heard there's alligators been spotted in the San Marcos River."

"I don't think so. All my friends, they float the river all the time, and I've never heard them say anything of an alligator."

"Maybe one time there was an alligator."

"One time is all it takes to be eaten."

"I am definitely afraid of alligators. It's an irrational fear because chances are I'll never see one. But any type of body of water, I typically avoid unless it's the beach, because I don't think there's alligators in the beach."

"Wow. Okay."

"And then another comment. You're going to laugh at this one. What is your favorite meal that your mom cooks?"

"So my mom doesn't cook. My dad is the cook in the house. He always has been. Usually it's like reversed."

"Yeah, but, um, no, she can't cook for the life of her."

"So it's not that I can't cook, I just don't enjoy it, and he enjoys it. And you know what they say, when you're good at something, it becomes your job. He's good at something, and it became his job. And honestly, he runs us out of the kitchen if we ever try and go."

"Sometimes, yes. But I don't know. So my favorite thing that my dad cooks is, um, I don't know, steak. He makes steak. He makes good steak. Um, what is that called? Pot pie. I love pot pie, but I don't really think he makes the pot pie. I think he buys the pot pie and he heats it up. So I guess neither of my parents cook?"

"No, he can cook. And Grandpa, Dad's dad, is, you know, a professional chef. He owned a restaurant. He did."

"Speaking of Dad's, one commenter said, is your dad going to show up on video someday?"

"I'm sure he must be good-looking."

"Well, I don't know if he is going to."

"No, no, no, no. I don't know if he is going to show up on camera yet. Probably. I would assume so. I'm hoping that he will. He's a little camera shy."

"Yes."

"Oh, our food is here. Got extra napkin on the table. Thank you."

"Amazing. Let me know."

"So much yum. We just got the food."

"Okay, here is my meal. So here we have cilantro rice, some kind of sauce. It looks somewhat spicy. And then inside here, we have my grilled chicken. It looks like some carrots, some lettuce, tomatoes, and maybe some peppers and cheese. And here is my Cajun pasta right here. It looks like, um, noodles and shrimp. And I asked them to remove the peppers, so it looks like just onion, parmesan cheese. And I know it's going to be spicy because everything Cajun is spicy. And then garlic bread over here. And it looks like a traditional salad with tomatoes and cucumbers and cheese and maybe some egg as well."

"Okay, let's try this food."

"How is it?"

"So good."

"So this is a cilantro rice. I love rice. This is more of like a sticky rice, and it's very, how do I describe the rice? It's like very expanded, like the rice is feels very fluffy, fluffy, fluffy. That's a good word."

"Yeah. And it's got a little peppery taste to it."

"Does it taste like lime?"

"No, no. Just cilantro."

"Mhm. Cilantro is one of my favorites. It's really good."

"Now it's time for the taco. So this is a soft shell taco. It honestly looks more like a burrito than a taco."

"Is it good?"

"That expression looks like it was delicious."

"My lip gloss is on it. It's really, really good. You can definitely taste the chicken. Um, it's got a grilled taste to it. There's a little bit of spice in it. Not sure where it comes from, but I can taste the cold lettuce mixed with the warm chicken, and it's like a crunchy, good, flavorful taste. The cheese makes it a little sweeter, so I like that."

"That was so spicy it made my nose run."

"I didn't get a spicy bite like that. It wasn't spicy right away. It took a minute, and then the spice kicked in."

"Okay, your turn."

"Okay, so I'm going to start with my shrimp pasta noodle. Oh, it's hot. It's very hot. Hold on. Let's just try it together. Okay."

"Oh, it fell in my sauce."

"Oh, well."

"Mhm. It tastes like shrimp. Um, it's good. Doesn't have a lot of flavor because I, I lost my noodle that fell in my salad dressing."

"That's, that's really good."

"So it's the big fat pasta. I don't remember what that pasta is called."

"I don't know. I don't know what it's called, but it's got a, it's spicy too. It's making my nose run. It's got a Cajun spice flavor, um, that I cannot describe. It's kind of like a smoky, kind of spicy. And when you mix the noodle and the shrimp together, so good."

"It is really good. I like yours better."

"That's really good. It is really good. I like the grease."

"I want to try your chipotle sauce."

"Here."

"Oh, that's good. That's super like a buffalo chipotle."

"Yes, like a smoky buffalo."

"That's really good. You need to put that on your tacos."

"It tastes like the stuff you put on ribs."

"Is that barbecue sauce?"

"Tastes like barbecue sauce."

"Mhm. But it's kind of like a spicy barbecue."

"Yeah."

"And then my garlic bread. My garlic bread. That's my garlic bread, but you can have some."

"Mhm."

"I bet this is making you very hungry right now. You're probably eating along with us."

"That garlic bread is so soaked in butter. It's delicious. Butter and a lot of garlic, but not an overpowering garlic, just perfect. It is really a good, refreshing piece of bread."

"And I'm going to this ranch dressing that my noodle fell into earlier."

"I ate it. Was it good with ranch on?"

"Yeah. Very messy."

"All right, let's try some salad."

"Oh, ew. What's that?"

"I don't know what that is."

"I'm just going to keep eating because I am hungry."

"Little bite of tomato and cucumber."

"I'm not a huge salad lover, but as far as salads go, this one's really good."

"I love salad. It's just super refreshing."

"Mhm. Do you like egg on your salad?"

"No."

"I do. Try this."

"Oh, sorry. I did it on your arm."

"That's good, isn't it?"

"I love eggs."

"That was egg on your salad, but I didn't get salad with it."

"That's true. But it was, it had dressing on it."

"Yes."

"So the salad also has spinach, which I love."

"What do you rate this yours?"

"Eight out of 10."

"What do you rate yours?"

"Eight out of 10."

"I think we're good, but I think we're going to order dessert too."

"Wonderful. Did you want to go order, or do we need to wait?"

"Yes, I think we're ready."

"Okay, well, I've got four. Cajun fried bread pudding, fried bread pudding, or brownie with ice cream."

"I think we'll do the brownie with the ice cream, please."

"Is it okay to put caramel and chocolate on?"

"Oh, yes. Be thank you."

"Here's our delicious dessert. It has vanilla ice cream on top, a chocolate brownie underneath, and then there is caramel and chocolate sauce drizzled all over it. And we are going to eat this really fast because I'm, it looks so good."

"Squishy."

"Mhm."

"Wow. The brownie is hot. Like I love ice cream."

"Mhm."

"And the caramel sauce."

"Heaven."

"We love our sweets."

"Oh, so the brownie is super chocolatey, and it's a creamy brownie. It's not cakey. It's making me drool. It's more of like a, more of like a soft chocolatey sauce than a cakey brownie. And mixed with the ice cream, the ice cream cools it off so good."

"No words. It's like so good."

"We love it."

"Would, yeah, it would not be me if I didn't spill."

"Mhm."

"You were eating all the ice cream."

"We don't share desserts."

"So this is really weird for us to be sharing. No, our family, we do not share desserts. It's too important to share."

"Scrape up some of that caramel."

"So good."

"Do you like the ice cream or the brownie better?"

"I like the combination of the both. I don't think I would like just the brownie because it's pretty, um, it's pretty sweet, rich."

"Mhm."

"Ice cream kind of mellows it out."

"I love vanilla bean ice cream."

"Hot. The brownie is hot."

"Oh, really? On the inside?"

"Mhm. It's like not even cooked all the way through. It's just soft brownie in there."

"So good."

"Here is the receipt, and the total amount was $35.94. And typically we leave about 20%. We left a little over 20% this time, which was $6, which brings the total to $41.94. That's my mom's signature."

"I hope you enjoyed this video. Stay tuned for some more videos. I showed you how to order in English, what the food looks and tastes like, and I had a conversation with my mom. And it was just a great restaurant choice. I absolutely love seafood, and I can't wait to show you guys some more videos and some more food."
