Nothing Changes Until You Do THIS (The “I’ve Had Enough" Moment)

Hey, I'm Terry Sevelfoy, your cheerleader of dreams. I want to talk to you today about having total restoration in your life, whatever that means to you. It could be that you need God to restore your vision and enthusiasm for life. Could be to restore discipline in your life or restore your energy. You just feel so tired all the time. Restore finances that have been stolen from you. Could be that you need God to restore your job, your salary, or a relationship that needs restoration.

I got this message because of several things I needed restored. And God led me through sort of like a checklist of things from his word and stories from the Bible of people who had total restoration. And I put these seven keys into practice. And I can't even tell you how many things have been restored in my life. Thank you, Jesus. My marriage that was on the verge of a divorce. Finances like thousands of dollars that were stolen. My health, my liver, my skin, my metabolism. I'm serious. In fact, Acts 3:21 talks about how God restores everything. So, I'm excited to have these seven powerful keys in a little book now. And this is our last week to offer it to you as a gift for your donation of any amount. So, I want to share some of the keys with you today.

First of all, I found out that you have to draw a line in your life and declare enough. Have you reached the point where you have had enough of the devil stealing from you? You know, not too long ago, my husband Rodney and I watched the life story of Tina Turner in that movie, What's Love got to do with it? You know, she was married to Ike Turner, who really discovered her and gave her a start in music, but little by little, he became very abusive, slapping her, punching her, putting her in the hospital. I mean, over and over, like year after year. And you're thinking, "This is Tina Turner, like proud Mary, keep on rolling. You're already successful. Just leave him." But nobody can make up your mind for you. Only you can decide when you have finally had enough.

Well, one day she made that decision. They were here in Dallas, Texas, and he beat her so bad in the back of the limousine on the way to the Statatler Hotel. While he was asleep, she finally made up her mind. I've had enough. I love how TD Jake says, "There is nothing more powerful than a madeup mind." Well, with only 37 cents in her purse, she ran down the highway with nothing but the clothes on her back and found a little motel. Well, she told the manager who she was, and she promised to pay him back. He let her stay there that night, but here's the thing. She never looked back. I mean, once she declared, "I have had enough." Her career began to soar, break records, put her in the music hall of fame. But my point is that her story changed when she finally had enough.

Well, today I want you to decide in your life, when have you had enough of the devil stealing from you? When is enough enough? When do you draw the line in your life and say, "I've had it." Enough living in debt, paycheck to paycheck, barely making it. Money always stolen from you. Enough being exhausted, out of shape, no energy, feeling insecure about yourself, or enough wishing you had a better house or spouse or a better relationship. Here's the key. You might want to write this down because it's deep. You know, I'm going to grab my giant pencil. Nothing changes if nothing changes. It's pretty deep. But here's my point. You must decide, I've had enough. I want total restoration.

You know, the Bible actually says that the devil roams around like a roaring lion, which I happen to have, seeking whom he may devour. He's looking to devour you. Whether it's through destroying your relationships, your money, your health, your energy, your vision for life, he doesn't care. As long as you never get fed up, he's fueled up. And he knows you will never have total restoration until you have had enough.

Well, I want to tell you how this message came about on restoration. I really went through a lot physically. That is not too long ago. I was diagnosed with skin cancer again. I've already been through all that. I've had surgery down my face and my back and my whole chest was covered in it. Had to take chemo cream. It was horrible. Well, not too long ago, I had it again. I had to have 17 spots removed. My arm seriously looks like little polka dots now. Um, I had to have surgery on my leg. I had to put chemo cream on my chest again and I stay out of the sun for the most part.

Well, then I went to the doctor for just a normal checkup and the doctor walked in the room and asked me, "How much alcohol have you been drinking?" I thought he was kidding me. He said, "No, I'm serious. How much alcohol do you drink?" I said, "Doctor, I've never drank alcohol." He said, "Well, your liver looks different. It looks like someone who drinks excessive amounts of alcohol. It's like what? My liver. Then my voice, my vocal cords got damaged. Then I started going through menopause. I had no energy. I gained weight. Still doing the same diet and exercise I do every day as normal and things were not working. I just wanted to go to sleep. But I just kept thinking, what is wrong with me? Skin cancer, liver, menopause, weight gain.

Now, I promise you this is going to get better. But one day, the Lord just put it on my heart, one simple phrase. He said, "I am the God of restoration." I am the God of restoration. And he reminded me of certain keys throughout his word that bring restoration. Now, I want to share five keys he gave me. I've got seven in the book, but I think I have time for five today.

Number one is read God's word. You know, the Lord reminded me as I was going through the skin cancer, the liver, menopause, he said, "My word is medicine to your flesh." So, I just set a goal to read scriptures on restoration every morning, just like taking medicine or vitamins. In fact, in the book, um there's a few scriptures, you know, that God talks about specifically restoration, and I put them in here. One of them is your soul. You know Psalm 23:3, David said, "You restore my soul." What is that? That's your mind, your will, your emotions. When you feel unstable and confused, God will restore your emotions. Another one is your health. God res God said, "I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds." God wants to restore your entire body. He restores your joy. He restores the years the devil stole from you. When you feel like years have been stolen, God says he'll restore your finances. Deuteronomy 33 talks about how God said he will restore your fortunes and have mercy on you. I'm telling you, there's so many things God says he will restore. So, Acts 3:21 says God restores everything. That pretty much sums up whatever you need right now. In fact, Zechariah 10:6, God said, "I will restore because of my compassion." Now, notice it doesn't say, "I might restore. I'll consider." No, he said, "I will." So, read these scriptures over and over. You know, I heard Joel Ostein say, "God's not obligated to do what you say, but he is obligated to do what he said." And when he hears you speaking his word back to him, he says, "Angels, go to work. Bring it to pass." So, number one is read God's word.

Number two is to envision restoration. You know, I've shared this on a few broadcasts lately about you have to know what restoration looks like to you. In other words, what does a restored body look like to you? What does a restored relationship look like to you? A job restored? Where is it? How much do you earn? Um, what is your vision of just total restoration? I mean, literally like get a picture of restoration. Don't just say, "God, restore my health." No, get an image of you healthy and put it on the vision board. Um, write the vision, make it plain, right? Do you know that your restoration, it could be delayed because it's unclear? You've probably heard me say, when the vision is clear, the results will appear. Get an image of restoration. If it's your house, get a picture of the house you want restored. You know, like I said about health, get a picture of you jogging or running on the beach or stretching, looking painfree. If it's finances, get an amount, a number of what you want to see restored financially and write it down. Keep it in front of you. If it's a car, go test drive the car you want restored. Put it on your vision board. Get clear on your vision of restoration.

Okay, I want to share a few more points. The third one, number three, is literally say restore. See, your mouth is what you use to release your faith. And you know, God's word actually says, I learned this from my dad. He was talking about how in Isaiah, it says this is a people who are robbed and plundered. I mean, they went through so much. They're snared in holes. They're hidden in prison houses. They're for prey and no one delivers. And then the last part of that says, "And no one says restore." No one says restore. Now, I learned this from dad because he was saying God wants you to declare restore. It's like God was saying to those people, if somebody would have said restore, I would have delivered them. In other words, you can't just think, I'd love to have restoration in my life. No, you have to speak it out of your mouth. Joyce Meyer says, "Some things will never change in your life until you begin speaking them out loud." So, there's a connection between you declaring restoration and experiencing restoration. And when you speak it out, you give it the right to come to pass. Like I said before, you give angels a command. Angels go to work when you say, "Restore." In other words, restoration is available, but we have to declare it and call on it.

You know, let me give you an example real quick. I had the cutest little dog. He looked exactly like this. His name was Pepe Loa. He's in heaven now. But he was very unique. In fact, my husband said when God was handing out cuteness and smarts, he said Pepe got in line twice for cuteness. Wasn't very nice. But if I wanted Pepe to come, I had to call for him. He wouldn't just come on his own. And I would speak French to him. I'd say Pepe lea because I taught him French commands. And he would come. Well, the crazy thing is when Rodney would call him, he would look right at Rodney and go straight to me, like every single time. And Rodney would get so mad. He'd be like, "Whatever, punk every time." But my point is, he would just sit there and not move until we called him. Well, you have to call on God's restoration. Declare it every day. Speak it out of your mouth. Job 22:28 says, "Thou shalt decree a thing and it will be established unto you." That word decree means to command. So you have to command God's favor.

A quick story I want to tell you. I was speaking at a conference in London a few years ago. This precious little British girl truly grabbed hold of what I teach about vision and speaking to the vision. Well, she made her vision board of what restoration looked like to her. She put on her board, "I want a dad. I want a home. And I want my very own bedroom." Her mom was like, "Oh, wow. That means a husband for me." Well, this little girl, her vision for restoration was crystal clear. And she began speaking to her vision in her cute little British accent, speaking by faith every single day. Well, she came running up to me the next time I was in London at her church to tell me. She said, "Terry, God gave her all three." You know, God's word says, "Have the faith of a little child." What do they do? They simply believe. If you want to know where your life is headed, listen to the words that are coming out of your mouth. Start announcing, declaring, decreeing. Say, "Restore, restore, restore." Got it?

Okay. Two more keys I think I have time to share with you. Number four is to declare a fast. Now, I'm not going to say a whole lot about this. I talk about it in my book, Total Restoration. But the bottom line is this. There are certain times when you must ramp it up and declare a fast. And when I say fast, I mean refrain from certain foods. I'm not going to tell you what or how long. That's up to you and God. But here's what I've learned. If it means something to you, it means something to God. It could be one day, three days, 21 days, 40 days. It's totally up to you. It could be fasting Cokes because you crave them so much. It could be sweets or bread. You decide. But here's the truth. When the Holy Spirit calls you to a fast, he's getting you ready for major restoration. In fact, Jensen Franklin, I wrote this in the book. I love this phrase he says about fasting. He said, "Anytime you fast," he said, "it is a hunger strike against hell." He said, "Fasting is an extreme in yourrrface statement to the devil that his days of stealing from you are over."

You know, maybe you've been fighting a a health battle, a weight loss battle. It's time to declare a fast. It's time to declare, "I have had enough. I am declaring a fast. It's time to see my body restored financially." Maybe you've had some money stolen from you and you are fed up with living like this. I'm telling you from experience, things change drastically when you decide, I've had enough. It's time to see my finances restored, and I'm declaring a fast. Remember, I told you to write this down. Nothing changes if nothing changes.

Hey, my sweet friend. I want to personally invite you to be a part of something powerful, and that is partnership. Did you know that when you become a monthly partner with Terry Sevelfoy Ministries through your prayers, finances, and overall support, you're not just giving, you're positioning yourself to experience the same grace, the same anointing, the same discipline, and results that are on my life and on this ministry. Together, we're reaching people around the world with messages of hope found in Jesus. We're helping others discover their purpose, pursue their God-given dreams, and make their dreams bigger than their memories. Your partnership makes this possible. So, if you've been blessed by this podcast, prayerfully consider joining us today. Let's make a difference together.

You know, Jim Ran talked about certain emotions that can lead to a life change. And he said, "One of those is disgust." He said, 'We usually don't equate the word disgust with positive action, but being disgusted with some area of your life can actually serve as vision and momentum to get out and declare it's time to fast. I think of it like this. You know, we all come to a fork in the road where and I got my fork here where we have to make a defining moment decision that there's only one person responsible for the outcome of your life and it's you. You can go left or you can go right. It's your decision. And when you declare a fast for your restoration, you are making a bold decision about where your life is headed.

You know, in my story, in my situation, I began to look back over the times I've reached that point of disgust when my marriage was falling apart and looked hopeless. One time I had $11,000 stolen from me. And in both of those situations, I reached that moment of I've had enough. It's time to declare a fast. And I got a photo of my husband and me as my vision for restoration. I began declaring restore, restore, restore my marriage in Jesus name. In the area of my finances, I found out God said the thief must pay you back seven times what he stole. So I wrote the vision. The whole story is in here, but I wrote 77,000. In summary, my marriage was completely restored. We just celebrated 32 years together. And God not only restored my finances, 77,000, but he gave me $77,500 in less than one year, over and above our salaries. Isn't that amazing? I don't have time to go through the whole story, but I want you to know that God wants to restore everything that's been stolen from you. And I wish I had time to tell you everything, tell you the whole story, but I want you to declare a fast. I'm telling you, it's a game changer. Throughout the Bible, we see major breakthroughs take place when people got fed up. They got desperate and declared a fast.

Now, I really want to share one more vital key with you today. Number five is seow seed for restoration. You know, we see that throughout the Bible. The Bible says two things will never pass away and it's the word of God and seed time and harvest. You know, every dream I have ever seen come to pass in my life has required that I seow seed. And at certain times, my best seed. You know, there will be times in your life when God asks you to give your best. Now, keep in mind your best and someone else's best can be drastically different. But Galatians 6:7 says, "Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatsoever a man sws, that will he also reap." Right? It's the law of Genesis. Every seed produces after its own kind. Another translation says, "A man's harvest in life depends entirely on the seed he sws." Right? Your future is in your seed. So whatever you're believing for, it's in your seed.

And I' I've shared this several times on the broadcast, how Jesse Duplan has taught me to never throw seed in an offering, but seow seed in an offering and name it for what you're believing for. Well, one of the things I've been praying for for years that I wanted restored was to have a publisher. Again, I used to work with a publisher, but most of the time we self-publish books, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's great. But one of my personal dreams in my heart was to have a publisher restored and to sign a book deal with one of the best publishers in the world. I have literally had this photo on my vision board for years and years and years and nothing happened. I don't even look like this girl anymore. I've aged a little bit. But a few years ago, a friend of mine actually arranged a phone call with one of the biggest book agents in America and me. And I was reluctant to agree to the phone call because I've always prayed for God to be the one to open doors for me and give me his favor in unprecedented ways. And he always has. I also know you got to, you know, if you want to go to a new level, you got to step out of your comfort zone. So I pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I had the phone call and I tried my best to prove to this publisher that she should sign with me. Well, in this very deep and sort of sultry voice, she said, "You are adorable." I guess my childlike voice, I don't know, it was a little creepy, but that was about it. Being adorable doesn't get you a book deal. She didn't want to sign with me.

One day, it dawned on me. It's time to see restoration. It's time to declare a fast and get my best seed in the ground for this dream. Your future is in your seed, right? A man's harvest in life depends entirely on the seeds he sws. I went to the bank and I withdrew the biggest check I have ever given to a ministry in faith believing for my publisher to be restored. Well, after that adorable phone call where they weren't interested in me and I swed my biggest seed, I received a phone call from a publisher, not just any publisher, one of the largest in the world, asking if I would consider signing with them. Minutes after the contract was emailed to me, my agent sent me this text. She said, "I don't know if signing a book deal with the largest Christian publisher in the world was on your vision board, but you just did." I said, "Um, as a matter of fact, what am I saying? Your future is in your seed. Maybe some things haven't been restored yet because you haven't sewn your seed for it. A man's harvest in life depends entirely on the seeds he sws. Don't throw your seed. Sew your seed and name it for restoration. Whatever that means to you.

In fact, in prayer the other day, the Lord said to me, he said, "Give according to the harvest you're declaring." He said, "Obey quickly and your harvest won't be delayed." Then I heard this in prayer. He said, "No delays on your part produce no delays on my part." And then he said this. He said, "Prompt obedience produces a prompt harvest." I'm starting to see a pattern here, aren't you? So, I want to remind you, anytime God asks you to give, he's not trying to take something from you. He's trying to get something to you. Here's the way I like to see it. It's kind of like a rocket. You've probably heard me explain the rocket. Do you know that it uses more fuel in the takeoff than it does the rest of the entire trip? Why? Because it is breaking the gravitational pull of the Earth, trying to keep it back. But once it breaks that pull, it soarses into space. Well, that's exactly how I see giving. The moment you give, you make up your mind you're going to sew. You're going to get seed in the ground. It breaks the gravitational pull of the enemy trying to keep you back. But once that seed is in the ground, there is no force from hell that can stop your restoration.

So, I want to give you an opportunity to sew for your restoration. I already mentioned that for your seed gift of any amount today, I'm going to send you this brand new book. And this is our last week to offer it, but I want to encourage you to name your seed today. When you sew, name it for the restoration you desire. What do you need restored? What if you grew up never knowing you could dream? For so many young girls, the idea of dreaming feels impossible. Pain has stolen their hope. Circumstances have silenced their voice. Trauma has told them they don't matter. But that is not the life God intended for them. At Terry Sevelfoy Ministries, we believe that everyone has a purpose. No matter their past, no matter their pain, no matter what the world has told them, God has placed vision inside every heart. And through this ministry, we are reaching young teens that feel forgotten, reminding them that they are seen, they are loved, and God has a good plan for their lives. Because of our incredible partners, transformation is happening. One of the organizations we've been privileged to support is YouthWorld, a place of refuge for inner city kids in Dallas who need to know who they are and what they are capable of. This past summer, something extraordinary happened. Through the faithful giving of our partners, we visited YouthWorld week after week. Teens who had never dared to dream were handed vision boards. And for the first time, they saw a future beyond their current circumstances.

I want you to meet Erica Burrat. >> Erica came to Youth World uh when she was 16 with a a a dream, but it was all buried in. Didn't know how to how to experience it or whether she was worth it. Living in Oakliff and low income, traumatic family experiences. Her mom was drastically abused by her first husband who came to her job and shot her in the head, blew her brains out and by the grace of God recovered. That's the kind of lifestyle that Erica had come from. You sent us to the icing uh conference that started opening up and dropping deposits in her heart. Then we did vision uh 101 with the teenagers and they started making vision boards. And the vision board she made, >> I wrote down that I want to be a singer on a cruise ship. And then I made this other vision board with like bigger ideas that I wanted. >> She had uh I want to travel and see the world. She's been in Oakliff. She hadn't gone 5 miles. You know, put all this on the vision board just like you you know that you were encouraging these young people to do. >> Well, guess what? Erica is traveling the world, entertaining and singing on cruise ships. She's getting paid for it and living out her dream. I'm sitting in an answered prayer and none of this will be possible without the Lord on my side and a very special lady named Miss Terry Sabel Foy. Now I am in such a better place. My faith has grown tremendously and I'm able to provide not only for myself but for my family as well. Because of Miss Terry, I've learned that faith without works is dead. You really need both in order to see your dreams become a reality.

Erica's story is a powerful reminder of why this work matters. She walked through unimaginable pain, but because of the generosity of people like you, her story didn't end there. She found hope again. She realized she is valuable. She discovered that God has a big plan for her life. But right now, there are still so many inner city teens like Erica. Girls who feel lost, alone, and hopeless. They need someone to believe in them. They need someone to tell them that their story isn't over. And there is hope in Jesus. That someone is you. Today, you can be the reason a young girl dares to dream again. When you partner with Terry Sevelfoy Ministries, you're not just giving a donation. You're giving a future, a purpose, and a new beginning. This is your moment to make a difference. Join us. Become a partner today and be a part of changing lives for generations to come.
