Who Were the Nephilim? Genesis 6 Explained

Dyer Central17:56

Transcription

Imagine if they did discover or they had bones that spoke to the possibility of Genesis being true. Do you think that the entire Western world constructed on the atheist materialist ethos? Do you think that they would want that to be out there? They're just all honest, genuine, neutral truth inquirers. Absolutely not. They would 100% cover that up because it would completely destroy the entire narrative if there were large skeletons. And again, there's a lot of claims of this. I don't know how to verify that.

Let's see what Father Stephen Young says at the beginning about who the Nephilim are.

"I have read Genesis like you know on and off most of my life. Never noticed the first part of chapter 6 with the Nephilim until about four years ago. Someone mentioned it to me and in the subsequent years I must have had 15 convers 25 conversations about the Nephilim. Um so it seemed worth talking to someone who understands exactly what the Nephilim are. What are the Nephilim? And am I pronouncing it correctly?"

"I mean good enough. Yeah. I mean, yeah. I mean, it's it's the the the I am at the end. The the em is the plural in in uh Hebrew. Okay."

"Um but yeah, so there's there's a little bit of debate about where exactly the word comes from. Uh because u there's it's it's not a regularly used Hebrew word in the Hebrew Bible, which which isn't all that odd either. There are a lot of words that are only used once in the Hebrew Bible. Uh but uh people have tried to do different things with it. So there's a there's a Hebrew verb to fall, which is the verb to fall. So some people have wanted to say well it's the fallen ones but in Hebrew nephilim is reflexive. So it would be the ones who are fallen upon which is a little more difficult but it seems pretty clear most people agree now because there's an Aramaic word uh nephilim ends with an N that just means giant. And so it seems pretty contextually clear that this is just the Hebrew form of that word and this is talking about giants. It's translated in the Greek Old Testament with uh yantes in Greek which means which is where we get the English word giant. Um but a lot of people when they hear the word giant now think fifom right yes that's that's not the core um of the idea so the word all the words used for giant not only refer to a tall person uh but could also be used to mean a thug or a bully or a tyrant uh and the example I use is uh you're old enough to remember this when when we went into Panama after Noriega they're always referred to him as Panameanian strongman always got his awesome bench press that was you know but he was a dictator right he was authoritarian and so it's the same kind of idea right that that um it's characterizing these people as that sort of thuggish, brutish kind of kind of character and referring to them as tall or referring to them as giants is meant to symbolize and suggest that."

"Okay."

"Um and so in in in Genesis at the beginning of Genesis uh at the beginning of the flood story Genesis 6 uh we have to understand that the flood story is not a new story when Genesis is telling it right this is everyone had a flood story in the ancient near east. So the text of Genesis is not primarily claiming oh there was this flood."

"Yeah. By the way uh that's something that we have referred to in many debates and discussions. Uh there was a some months ago there was an atheist skeptic that called in and we had a very fascinating uh 20 or 30 minute debate about the universality of the flood myth whether it's China whether it's South America um and why he thought that was not a good line of argumentation. Of course I wasn't arguing that because there is myths it's therefore true. I was arguing that the uh prevalence and the universality of this myth speaks to some sort of cataclysmic past and I think that's an evidence. It's not a proof but is an evidence. Um so interesting that yeah this is obviously tied to some heinous sin at this time that required uh the cleansing and the same type of language and cleansing is used for the promised land when it comes to the um the practices that are going on in the promised land at the time of uh you know Joshua and then later David when David takes the city of Zion. Most people do not know that Melkchisedc was a gentile priest of Israel or Salem before the Jews were there. So we don't know this time period. Again, MelkiseDC was a priest before there was the ironic priesthood. And in in this land called Salem, we are told in Genesis that Melkisedc was the priest to the true God in Salem. Later on in the Psalms, I want to say around Psalm 79, David says Salem is Zion. It is the it's identified by King David. And that's David would know because David took Zion, right? So the last remaining areas within the promised land that had not been taken were taken by David, particularly the city of David. Uh if you read the book of Joshua, many areas had been taken but the Israelites got lazy and then didn't take other places. The reason that the promised land is retaken from the Canaanites is precisely because the Canaanites had taken the land from the protourch. You heard me right. If in Genesis when Abraham goes to tide to Mechisedc and Mechqueisedc is the priest king of Salem and Salem is Jerusalem then it was a property of the protourch righteous in early Genesis. Everyone leaves this part of the story out because the picture is of an unjust Yahweh telling the Israelites to conquer the noble, helpless, savage people of the Canaanites. and then to wipe them out. Well, there was something going on with these people in Canaan's land to continue the type of worship that the Nephilim or the sons of God or excuse me, the fallen ones, the watchers had instituted in the book of Enoch. So, if you read the book of Enoch, the Nephilim, the Watchers, the giants, right? They institute this human sacrifice bale pure type of religion. So when the Israelites are tempted at Balpor with the lord of open holes which is the ingesting of all types of bodily fluids the same type of religious practices you see in krillianism or in tantric uh Buddhism that's the same type of religion that we're talking about in the book of numbers at bopior it just also happens to be the same type of of practice that the nephilim had instituted so even though God had washed the world through a kind of baptism in the flood Eventually, this land had been taken over by the unrighteous and the wicked, and they had taken it from the proto-Christians. Nobody knows this or ever talks about this, but it's very clear within scripture that Mechisedc was a gentile high priest to God before David or Joshua had anything to do with the promised land. So, it was unrighteously taken from the righteous. You see, at some point after Mechisedc, God's judgment then is that these wicked people will be removed because they unjustly stole this land from my people. And guess what? My people at that point, it's not Abraham. Who is it? Well, it's people like Job. Again, assuming that Job was a righteous Gentile, which there's some evidence to suggest that. There's also some evidence to suggest he might have been an ancient Hebrew. But regardless, Malkeisedc is a clear knockdown proof of that. No one talks about this. I don't really know why. I wrote a whole Substack article about this. I just I guess that people just don't think about it. But the other problem is that most people don't take Genesis seriously, right? Um Genesis is seen to be just an archaic uh you know, pagan creation myth even by famous so-called Orthodox scholars and theologians. Um, but if you do take Genesis seriously, then a lot of things actually get cleared up and make a little more sense. Not everything. There's a lot of areas that we don't know."

"So, let's see where else he goes with this."

"It's talking about the flood that the original audience all sort of knew had happened."

"Yes."

"And"

"and which it did happen, I think,"

"right? There was there Yes, there is historical event, right, that this is referring to. But you could have asked anybody from Greece to Mesopotamia to Egypt. They would have all agreed at that point that yes, there was this advanced civilization. There was a flood that destroyed it. current civilization is rebuilt after that."

"Yes. Uh now the key one of the key differences in Genesis 6 that you already have in those first four verses is Genesis recasts what that civilization was like. So in the pagan sources that pre flood world was this golden age of for the time high technology right and technology in the ancient near eastern mind included magic. Magic was sort of spiritual technology. Um and all these things happened with and that sort of uh losing that world was sort of this great tragedy and but everyone agreed it was a more advanced world than the world they lived in. Yes. Yes. That there was knowledge there that had now been mostly lost. Interesting. And so you find um the civilizations that grew up after that. And exhibit A of that is the Yeah. This is interesting too because we don't exactly know what the pre flood world was like. And you know there's a lot of different theories about advanced ancient technology and uh you know what exactly they did and didn't have. I don't know. I don't know that anyone knows. I do think that this could speak to uh megaliths and the mysterious megalithic structures that of course we see all over the world. Um I think we've looked at this guy's video before, right? You see all kinds of things like this. And now many of these structures I think are obviously, you know, human creations. Um there's nothing particularly fantastical about a lot of these, but some of them do seem to defy uh normal explanation. Um you know, when you see mysterious structures underwater, uh you know, recently off the coast of Japan, we we already covered with Jake Rattlesnake and in my own stream that entire underground civilization in China that had been discovered. And there was a story, a myth that there was this underground city uh in this village. And of course, people didn't remember or believe the myth anymore. And then lo and behold, one dude was at a a well one day and he noticed that the water seemed to be going off in a different direction. And lo and behold, they discovered this giant underground city, an ancient forgotten underground city in China. So there's quite a few of those. Uh, Japan has these megalithic structures that were obviously designed. People don't know where they came from. I mean, you see stuff like this and it's like, what is that, right? Uh, and again, yeah, it's possible in the ancient world that they were able to chisel, you know, and do pretty advanced architectural uh, projects. But in some cases, it looks like there's, you know, stones that don't seem to be able to be be there that have gotten there somehow that are not native to the region. Now, yeah, they could have lugged them from far away. It seems like it would have been a very, very difficult, arduous journey to do so, but who knows? If you got slave labor, maybe you could just, you know, maybe you could pull it off. So, uh, there's quite a few of these in Asia. Many of them I don't even know about. And a lot of them don't make even make sense, right? Like what is this? Oh, let's do a a giant uh 1985, you know, Sony TV with uh so this looks like a giant old ass TV, right? And then you get all these on the internet like the Eric von Donakin type people who are obviously just like conmen who are like, "Look, it's an ancient TV. It's a Sony TV from 1985 and it was predicted at the Japanese megalith. I mean just just because it kind of looks like something which is but this is one called Ishino Hodin in Japan. Uh there's quite a few of these in Japan by the way. That's why I went to this Japan video is because there's so many of these and they just discovered the one the the underwater temple off the coast of Japan was discovered pretty recently. I think the the large megalithic size of these speaks to the possibility. I'm not saying that I know this for for sure. I'm just saying it is interesting. It is possible that there were ancient civilizations that perhaps did have giants or titans. There have been many, many tribes. Uh, in fact, if we talk to Tristan, we've interviewed Tristan about this. Tristan has immersed himself in Ecuadorian culture and he spent the last I don't know 20 years 15 20 years in Latin South America and has become very familiar with local indigenous traditions and mythology and and whether it's the concistadors who wrote uh their journals and diaries when they first came or whether it's the uh indigenous traditions the oral traditions there's almost a universal admission of of course there were giants There were titans at some ancient time in the past. There were giants. There were titans. It is also possible that perhaps dinosaur bones. I'm just saying this is possible. I don't have a set view on this. It's possible that dinosaur bones were in fact uh the bones of titans. Like maybe that's what that is. Because if you get into paleontology and you look at things like tectlic, like that's a lot of guesswork going into tectlic. if you don't know. Um, it's also possible, too, that these great men of renown, the so-called giants, they might have actually also just been the the Titan offspring, right, who, you know, they might not have been 5,000 feet tall, but they might have been, I don't know, like, you know, maybe Andre the Giant size or something, right? Like there could have been there's a lot of different possibilities as to as to what could have been going on. Um, and I just think it's fascinating that there's all of these megalithic structures all over the world. Giant pyramids all over the world. I mean, look at this. Like, at some point, this was dug out. This is called uh these are these are we don't I don't even know if we know what these are, but apparently Japanese mythology has, you know, legends about all this stuff. And they appear to be keyholes or they appear to be like pyramids with circles at the top. We don't know what they are. We've all heard about the Egyptian pyramids and the lidar, the possibility that there's um structures underneath uh the the pyramids in Egypt. But for example, when the lidar looks at places uh where is this one? This one is doesn't say where it is. Looks like Latin South America or like Incan Mayan stuff, right? There's a lot more going on than you than you would think. Uh here the LAR in Siberia, excuse me, Siberian America of Ohio. This is apparently uh some of the mounds. And you'll see there's a giant lizard underneath this mound that you can't even see because it's where the LAR is. Here's another one in Ohio underneath uh looks like somebody's trailer park. Yo, imagine if your trailer part was an ancient Indian burial ground, dude, for the Nephilims. Uh, here's a whole city discovered underneath an Amazon rainforest. So, this is Tennessee, right? So, this is where I'm at. Right in the middle of nowhere in the woods is this hexagonal or octagonal structure. So, if you go over to mound lore, people are discovering quite a bit. I remember reading a book on the mounds, the barrel mounds some years ago in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio. Uh, and there's a lot of weird stuff with those that people don't understand either. Now, some people have the theory, too, that there were giants and that when giants are discovered, the role of the Smithsonian is to actually to cover that up. I I don't know if that's the case, but I could see that being the case because imagine if they did discover or they had bones that spoke to the possibility of Genesis being true. Do you think that the entire Western world constructed on the atheist materialist ethos, do you think that they would want that to be out there? They're just all honest, genuine, uh, neutral truth inquirers? Absolutely not. they would 100% cover that up because it would completely destroy the entire narrative if there were large skeletons. And again, there's a lot of claims of this. I don't know how to verify that. Here's another one in Louisiana, which looks like some sort of giant temple complex underneath all of the uh nasty swamps of Louisiana. Here's a bizarre mound. They call it Mound Man, and they just put a road through it. I don't know where that is. Doesn't say where it is. Here's out in the middle of nowhere in Georgia. Looks like the cubes that you push in The Legend of Zelda, right? Of course, everybody's familiar with um probably the Easter Island heads, right? Them ugly that sticking their heads out. And of course, people don't know, well, how did these stones get to this island? Why is this out here? Well, could be the case that before the flood, it wasn't an island, right? It was all connected. We don't exactly know what the world was like before the flood."
