If you're looking to dominate local SEO, this is a tutorial for you. Today, we're gonna be doing some SEO on an acupuncturist website that we've actually started last month, and we're doing pretty well right now. I'm going to show you kind of all the different things that I did for her, where we're at with her analytics, kind of the improvements that we've got in the only about a month.
Also, put a link to the other video in the in the description of this of this video. And and if you want to head over to any of the notes I take for this post, if you're interested in using those notes, I'm going to be leaving those on a page on a website that on my website that I'll be linking to as well in the description of this video. So without further ado, let's just dive right into it.
So first of all, we're gonna go over to our rank traffic tracking software and see what's going on there. We're also going to go to my our Google My Business page and see how our analytics are doing for this specific business. So if we go over to Google My Business, we go to our locations, and then we head over to the actual listing. Oh, sorry, it's a different account. I keep forgetting I have so many Gmail accounts. That's ridiculous. Here we go.
So now we go to it looks like we did get some updates on this listing. So for the analytics, you'll see our analytics are way up from what they were before. And if we look at our insights for the actual Google My Business location, we'll see that we'll go to last 90 days. Looks like those in terms of listing on search, looks like it's pretty stagnant. I think this is when we first started doing our review generation and so changes for the listing, which is probably where that why that spike is there. And then if we go to customer actions, it looks like this might be going up. Yeah, so that's definitely going up. So we see a huge improvement there. And then in the last 12 weeks of calls, let's see. Oh, it's only putting day of week. It's kind of odd. I understand what the deal with that is.
One of the things is we do want to show up more in the photo search, and I think in order for us to figure out to fix that is to start adding more pictures. So if we get out of here, we'll see that there's no logo here. We definitely want to put that in there. Exterior photos of the business location, we want those team photos if possible. So I'm gonna go and just take some notes. They're saying complete. Hold on, let me bring this over. Complete photo. Oops. Profile with photos of business location because that's definitely gonna help. If we don't have a logo, we can just buy one off of Fiverr. It's not. Pretty sure we do. Whoops, sorry, not five. James says, Chase, finally caught you. Woohoo! What's up, man? Glad you're here.
Alright, so if we go to review updates, looks like Google was suggesting some updates for this business. Let's see if they look like something that we want to go for. Oh, I think Google's actually starting to put all these has wheelchair access to entrance. So that's like this new thing they're doing. Like on all pages or just gonna say yes because I think there is. Press except. We'll go back to home. So even though it does say the insights are down by the last 90 days, don't be fooled by this because because there are certain reasons why the insights might be down. Like for instance, it's been Christmas in the last month. So of course, there's probably gonna be less people in town looking for these type of services during that time. But you'll see that the analytics on the actual website have gone way up. And we also have 25 reviews. We only had like two before with all all filled out with responses, which are great. And Patricia really took the time to spend a lot of time responding to these. So that's awesome.
So next, we're gonna go and look at the analytics. So we'll press view analytics. And because there's a lot of content marketing on this site, we might not be getting all the analytics for local that we're looking for. You'll see in the last 30 days, a lot of it's going through Google organic, but a lot of that stuff is actually for the content marketing we've been doing. So if we go over to behavior, site content, content drill down, we'll see this homepage right here, 168 page views. So that actually has a lower bounce rate, 56% bounce rate. That's pretty good. It should it could be lower. We'll see about the actual scent of our acupuncture treatments has a 75% bounce rate. So that's actually higher. But we don't know what the keywords are for for for people to be getting to these pages. So we're gonna go check out Search Console and see if anything has changed there. Kevin saying, hey my friend, will this be online? Because I'm gonna go to. Yeah, this is all recorded, so it will definitely on the channel. You get some sleep, my friend.
Alright, I'm going to search for Patricia Pilot. Not on here. Hold on. Did I put it on here? It might be on that other account. Let's just check. Uh uh, yeah, I think it's on that other account. Let me check over there. So we'll go here. There it is. Search analytics. We're gonna do compare last 90 days or 28 days, I mean, and then we're gonna see if there's any improvements in terms of the homepage or Santa Barbara rankings increasing at all. So looks like the we don't actually want to look at the clicks as much as we want to look at the position. So let's go like that. Click through some positions because of course, like I said before, the date ranges because they're between Christmas, it's the clicks are gonna be way down. I'm sorry, probably the impressions. But if we go to, we're just going to filter queries by Santa Barbara. It makes it easier for us.
Alright, now here we go. So weight loss, looks like where we were 31 before, now we're 1 for weight loss Santa Barbara. I don't know if I believe that. Let's see. That would be pretty crazy. So not in terms of the map, it doesn't look like we're showing up there either. Sometimes the analytics off of Search Console can be wrong. Acupuncture Santa Barbara, we were at 7.6 before, now it's saying in position 1. Whoops. And you'll see we're number three on the map now for that, which is cool. But we're definitely not in position one. And then we're actually on the first page now for acupuncturist, which I think we're on like page two or three before. Let's try acupuncture because that's actually a bigger keyword that we're going for. So acupuncture, and we're not showing up for that yet on the map. Let's see about locally. Locally, we're now out in the first page for that, which is cool. And then on the map, we're like number five.
So one of the things we want to keep doing is to continue to drive reviews. Let's check out Yelp too, because that we want to see if we should start driving reviews through our Yelp page. So we're gonna go to Yelp, go to Santa Barbara, and then we'll go to whoops, acupuncture. So we got some ads, and then she's number eight with five reviews. We should definitely drive more reviews there. We don't want to probably do that yet until we start ranking for acupuncture as well on the map. The other thing that I told her that we should probably do since there's very low competition for search engine marketing and I think a pretty low CPC value or at least bid is to start going for acupuncture Santa Barbara, spending about one hundred two hundred dollars on AdWords because there's a lot of opportunity here and we could definitely be getting a bunch of new clients for a pretty low CPC and get a pretty high ROI on that.
So you'll see it looks like actually right here singing about acupuncture actually went up. But in terms of acupuncturist, it went it went down where I started the other way around. And that actually probably has to do with the fact that we were as healing more for acupuncturist, except for our on-page signals are saying acupuncture. So that's kind of interesting. The reason why we actually structured her name first, like Patricia Pilot, is because I think we were getting more brand clicks for that. But we might want to restructure it. Were main keywords are to the left, and then it's Patricia Pilot. That's something to think about. I'm I'm considering it, but I don't know if we want to do that yet.
Let's go back. Let's see. So so a couple of things that we decided were our valuable KPIs this month. So we want to start ranking higher and local, which of course we're going to keep doing with the different review generation we're doing. Also getting probably some hyperlocal text, hyper local citations built. So let's go over and check her citations really quick. So we go to login on White Spark, we go to local citation finder, and then we'll put in our location and put in acupuncture, press search. Go a few search results, and we're gonna wait for that. So while that's going, we're gonna go check our SEO profiler and see how we're doing there. So let me move out of that website and we'll go to account projects, website ranking monitor, and then we're gonna go to alerts.
So now we can see different rankings that we're achieving. We're gonna take out Bing and Yahoo right now and just look at Google. So we're gonna do update after we take those out. So pro power powder benefits, one of those things. So another thing that we're also going to do is slight a little bit of a non-local SEO for is the content marketing she's doing is start getting conversions and also email signups through there. So I'll show you what that means because she's rigging for these kind of competitive keywords for like different products. For instance, right here, but there isn't really any strong CTAs here. So you'll see this is the list item, and then to buy the product, it's right here. But it should be way more prominent with like a picture and some sort of discount or something with a buy now button. So we're gonna want to set that up as well in the near future. And then maybe even further optimize this post to include LSI keywords in this post in the title tags. Acupuncture for a cold, we're like number one for that now. And other things related to that, we're probably the other thing I said that we're probably gonna want to do is continue our content marketing on Utah on the website, and then maybe even start doing YouTube videos and repurposing the content because it's going to help us update the website and also create link silos to the other important pages and create content around things that are relevant to what people are trying to find us for. So content marketing is still really huge. Kevin saying, what is the CRM you are using? You bought it from Envato Market or SEM th? Even this content management system, WordPress. I'm not using a CRM. Okay.
So acupuncture Santa Barbara, we're gonna press view sources. And then right there, number six. And then what we're gonna do is we're gonna compare our sources, see if we're missing out on a thing. So you'll see these are all the things that we have. So Google, we're good there. Facebook, Yelp, good, good, good. MapQuest. And I think these list these in terms of importance. White Pages, we don't have. Yellow Pages, it looks like we do. I look forward to therapy. So it looks like we're missing some. So what we're gonna do is we're actually just gonna get some more citations on these sites that we don't have citations on. Let's also check our incoming links. So if I go to Ahrefs. So the second week is usually are the second month is usually more about increasing conversion rate optimization, links, and citations. So 123 backlinks, and then these are all the different links. So yeah, we're still gonna want to create more citations. So I'm going to put that as a note. All right, but those are more generic citations, more generic. So more generic citations, more reviews. Let's check out the different indexing platforms that she's on, like in terms of the local indexing platform. So we'll go over to our website. We also want to make sure that we are listing these. And I think we did schema markup. Let's double check on that.
We got a question from Astrid in saying, hey, I have a local SEO question. If you enable location extensions in Google AdWords, can you appear in the maps? Yes. However, I want to do this in it with a hidden address. And I think if I enable location extensions, my areas will disappear up some of the ads that aren't in the map pack. Right, thanks, Chase. So yeah, I was able to do this with a service area before my iPhone repair business. It is possible to do and I highly recommend location extensions. So it looks like we do have that local business markup, but there are some problems there. I don't know if this was the markup I did. Let's see. That JSON? No. So I think this has to do with her last. Well, maybe it was something. No, this is a widget. Hold on. Let's check it out. Did I do that? I don't know. I don't think so. I think somebody else did that. Website looks good. Review. I definitely didn't do this markup. So actually, maybe I did because I think I might have added these five startups in a Bari reviews. That's something we want to look at.
Also, let's check out the call tracking metrics, conversions, and see how our conversions are coming in. Call tracking metrics. And I think in analytics, we actually are measuring our conversions right now. It's a little bit idle. It X and check those out. Kevin's saying, is it just a normal thing from WordPress and everybody saw it? It looks like some more CRM I can use. Can you share a link or something to buy the same thing? I'd like to use it in France for a business. Are you talking about this right here? This is WordPress. You're talking about like something like this. This is White Spark. And this right here is SEO profiler, which is like a rank tracking software slash optimization tool. I think that's what you're talking about. Analytics. Go over to Chase Writer. We're gonna look for her business. If it did, I put it in this account? I don't remember actually. It might have been in another account. Let's see. Was it in this one? There it is. Okay. So what we'll do is we'll do add segment. We'll do converters. So I guess they're not flowing through for some reason. Maybe they stopped. Maybe the goal never triggered. Just kind of a bummer. Oh, no, there they are. I don't know why I wasn't showing before. So let's go conversions by page. Actually, don't want landing page. We just want all pages. And we're gonna go by top conversions. Actually, no, let's just go to conversions, goals overview. Here we go. [Music] So homepage, five gold, five conversions. Acupuncture face treatment, yada yada. Let's go over to call tracking metrics. Astrid and says, but will your business be shown in ads that aren't in the map pack? If you're using location extensions, it will show both. Hopefully in the map, and then also it will always show in the ads in the PPC area. I don't think you can turn off just or just only turn on the map unless you're in like certain areas.
So let's see. 14 calls in the last month, not bad. Call reports. So website, organic, organic, organic. So these are all through Google. And this isn't based off the Google My Business listing as well. Average call time, six minutes. That's really good. Usually, people who are on the phone longer have longer or more are more likely to convert into actual customers. So the schema markup does need to be fixed. And then also, we should probably make it into actual professional service markup. Cancel out of there. It looks like we're only showing a couple of our profiles as well. Let's say we have a Facebook and a Google+. So here at Facebook, let's see if this is the same. 805636. So those are different numbers. We need to. Oh, yeah, that's because we have call tracking. Sorry. And then these are getting posted recently, I believe. But we should probably be doing some more things in terms of our social media, like posting and then boosting that sort of thing. And then we should probably get some more reviews. Once you get 5 stars on Facebook as well, I think actually Facebook will show a rating after one review, which is pretty cool. Nice to give her that.
So something else we can do is go to site: Patricia Pilot.com, and then we're actually gonna do - because that's going to take away that results for that. And then we're gonna do anything that's mentioning Patricia Pilot. So an SEO site, facebook.com, of course, other websites around some of the content marketing she's doing. But that's pretty much it. We we want all those social links whenever possible too. So with those citations, we're just gonna want to make sure that we're setting up all those different social media platforms to make her business look more legit. And then probably want to actually list those in here as well. So other than that, probably makes them stronger CTAs around here. I'm gonna add that in there. Look for opportunities to make stronger CTAs on converting pages. Maybe even get like a form going just in case people don't want to call. So we've got a contact. There might be a form here now. There's not. Oh, actually, there it is. We should also put conversion tracking on that contact.
So some of the other things that I noticed was that these pages weren't fully like done around Santa Barbara. So you'll see a lot of these that are being linked to or not don't have anything to do with Santa Barbara. And we could re-optimize for Santa Barbara. But the reason why we're not because a lot of them have national rankings. So what we're actually going to do is she's actually making local based pages for these different services, like local services at Santa Barbara, that we're gonna be optimizing for Santa Barbara. So I'm gonna say wait to optimize local pages as well. And then I think we should also probably implement Hotjar on here. Let's go ahead over to Hotjar and see how we're doing over there for our other stuff. We just implemented on at a different site as well. And I'm going to say also ask about AdWords budget. All right, heat maps. So we already have some heat maps going. If we press here on that moving side, we did in in the other episode we did yesterday. So we got some clicks there. Some clicked on the phone number. Let's go to recordings. So we do have some people coming in and we can see where they're coming from, which is cool. We'll press this play. Let's let's look at one that's probably longer, like all of them are pretty good time spent on page. Press play on this one. And this might even be you guys checking out the website afterwards after I'm done working on it. Interesting.
Okay, so yeah, we do want to do that also. It also really gives cool data to the clients that they wouldn't normally be seeing for their site and helps them kind of get an idea on how people are interacting with it. So if we want to have multiple accounts, I think we have to actually pay for it. $29 per month. I don't know if I want to pay for it yet. So I'm going to say consider going there doing pro with Hotjar. I might even be able to reach out the Hotjar and they'll give me like a free campaign if I do like a video on their product or something. But that's just more work. All right, well, cancel out of here. So yeah, we're waiting on those other pages. We've got to get those citations going. Cancel out of here. And let's check out. Oh, let's see what's being indexed really quick. So we'll do site: Patricia Pilot.com, 102 results. That's not bad. We might want to de-index the author because it's not really helping us, but might be okay. The other thing that we we definitely want to look at is we're going to just do a full site scan really quick. I know I've probably done this before on this site, but I want to do it again after all the changes we made. So I'll go to SEO apps, B Bemis up, and then we'll put our site in. I did I don't think I saw many problems on this site at least from what I remember. A couple of title tags too long, meta description missing on this page. We kind of don't really want these all these testimonials indexed if they're all going to be on one page unless they're not. Meta descriptions too long on these pages. 301s happening from those pages. Lots of title tags that are too long. So that's that can give us a lot of stuff to fix and reoptimize title tags around. That's gonna kind of take us a while to do. So I'm not going to do that in this episode. Also, I think Search Console will pick up on this stuff as well.
So if we go to Search Console, Kevin said, if you use the paid version of SEO profiler, can you use it for only one website or as many as you want? I think there's different packages, but for the smart plan, you can have multiple websites. I don't know how much it it is though. What was I doing? Oh, yeah, we're gonna go to Search Console for her. We're gonna go to the website. We're gonna go to search appearance, and then HTML improvements. And you'll see short meta descriptions, duplicate title tags for somebody's. It's not picking up the long title tags. I don't know why. I do know that they are in here. And then if we actually go and look at these different URLs, they're gonna be way too long. So if we go like that, whoops. All right, you have to do site first. Oh, well. So Google is actually not considering those too long. So I guess the Bemis up tool is probably outdated because it's not it's not it's not a problem here. I guess it's because the title tags have actually been so yeah, so the 77 you can or the 75 you can get away with or the 73. But I don't think you can with the 88 because Google is letting you do up to like 75 characters now. So if we do site on this one, this one will definitely go over. Yeah, so we do want to fix the ones anything over like 75. So that's definitely that'll give us a lot of stuff to do. We can fix a lot of stuff there. Let's go into our Search Console again and see what our top traffic pages are because I think that's how we optimize for before. If we go to search traffic and then search analytics, we go impressions, click through the positions. This is the last 30 days. We'll see these are the different clicks we're getting. Clicks for clicks, we're getting clicks for searches, we're getting clicks for. And none of these really have to do that much with Santa Barbara right now. And like I said before, mainly our main KPIs are going to be through the map and then also through probably whatever content marketing we're going to be doing. And then also the other variations of keywords are going to be showing up for. And we are starting to show up organically on the first page for acupuncturist Santa Barbara. So that's really good news. Well, I expect that we'll start to see clicks there as well. But in terms of all these other content marketing pieces that we're getting clicks for, we definitely want to do whatever we can to do conversion rate optimization for these pages because that's going to also help us drive sales. And if anything, we could start like at least getting more fall or getting more email signups if we want to do some sort of content upgrade or even start promoting our social media on these pages. There's a lot we could do and there's a lot we could do to further optimize these posts as well. So that's something we definitely want to look at. We definitely want to look at getting an email list going with content upgrades. And then for that, we would just probably sign her up for MailChimp, which is what I use. Some people use Aweber. I'm going to say asks for a lot of budget for email marketing and AdWords because it doesn't cost much. But I think it only costs it costs like 10 10 a month for MailChimp. And then also we want to do some automation through social media as well.
Okay, so overall, we're doing pretty well. I think definitely the next thing that I'm going to be focusing on is getting more citations built because a lot of the stuff that's going to be on page right now is going to also have to do with what we're doing for for the other local service pages we're going to be creating because we're gonna want to be doing like basic overviews of those pages within the homepage and then link to those as well. But we also are going to want to do some more on-page optimizations on this page. We probably use SEO profiler for that, but I'll probably do that in another video where we add on time. Let's see. So this is like 30 minutes. Definitely make sure you guys stay around for the the next part to this series because I will be continuing this. But overall, we've made some serious progress on this web. She's definitely getting more leads. She's happy. She's when we talk, she said that she's definitely seen an increase in her business. She said she said probably double what she got like a month ago, which is really fast for SEO for local SEO. Either way, thanks for hanging out with me and we'll see you guys in the next video.
