At school I was somewhat introverted, because I was extremely short, and I was often bullied for it. They even nicknamed me "Beliya." I stayed short until the first year of high school.

Masha'Allah. You're about the same height as me. How tall are you now?

I’m one meter eighty-five.

Wow, you're quite tall, masha'Allah. Let me tell you something. It might surprise some people to hear this, but I grew taller through sheer will. Praise be to God. I had spent so much time feeling upset and frustrated over it. Let me share a story from my childhood if you allow me. Especially because we had just moved to a new school in a Gulf country, and we arrived late due to travel, about two weeks late. You know how it is, being the new student, walking into a new school completely unknown. Meanwhile, the other students had already chosen their seats. Everyone had settled in. Everything was already organized. And there I was, walking in, everyone sitting with their friends. And you're the new student. And me, well, me, I knocked on the classroom door accompanied by a teacher, a teacher kindly escorting me to class. And there was another teacher, God forgive him, whom I still hold dear, but he put me through quite an unforgettable moment. As soon as I entered, he said, “How strange,” "This is the high school," "the elementary school is not here." There was an elementary school on the other side. There was just a door separating us. He said, "You entered through the wrong door." This is a صدمة. Then the entire class burst into laughter. I continued, went in and took my seat. After a while, he asked, "Where’s the new student?" I raised my hand and said, "It’s me, sir." And of course, the whole class laughed again. Then he asked, "What’s your name?" I said, "Ahmed Emara." He quipped, "Emara (Building)? And yet you’re so short." Thank you very much. You can imagine pure bullying. It encouraged the whole class to keep picking on me all the time. That very day I came home sad and upset. My mother sat with me for a while. You know, she offered me positive words of encouragement. And my father too. He started giving me دعم نفسي. Eventually, I made a decision. I said to myself, "I must grow taller." I started asking everyone, "Is there anything a person can do to grow taller?" That’s when I began hearing about the pull-up bar and how hanging from it helps, along with playing basketball and other activities. So I made a commitment. From that day forward until I finished my final year of high school, I played basketball every day, at least one to two hours daily. I even installed a pull-up bar at home, fixed it on the door and hung from it every single day. Even before I understood the science behind mind exercises and about the subconscious mind or concepts like energy, I began to vividly imagine someone pulling me upward, stretching me taller, to the point where I would wake up with real pain in my back. After that, in my final year of high school, we traveled back to Egypt for the holidays, and I had become the tallest one in the family. From that point on, I became tall. I was always like… And now I’ve applied the same method with my son, Basil. He keeps growing taller and, masha'Allah, I’m guiding him the same way.

You see, I’ve always been tall myself. But really, even during my high school years I suddenly grew taller. When the new school year began, everyone was stunned by how much I had grown. Of course, I didn’t do what you did exactly. Let’s be, let’s be precise here.

Yes, because for some people their height naturally increases during the high school years. But when you combine it with activities like jumping, pull-ups and basketball, you can actually accelerate your growth even more. And in my family there was no one even close to my height. We didn’t really have tall people at all.

Nice. Even my siblings, they're somewhat tall, but I still surpassed them. I even grew taller than my father, my uncles, and all my relatives. I surpassed them all.

What kind of significant change did your height bring to your personality? If your introversion stemmed from this issue… no, it made me realize afterward that whenever I truly wanted something, I could achieve it. And that’s where it all began. Bullying always had the opposite effect on me, meaning it forged within me a fighting spirit. Whenever someone criticized something I believed in, I become stubborn about it. "I'll show you," I would think, "and I'll do even more." I stopped fearing criticism altogether. Even if, for example, I remember once, when I was still striving to grow taller, someone would call out, "Ahmed Emara (building)," "Ahmed Villa," and I'd reply, "No, I'm just a little hut," and I'd burst out laughing with them stubbornly. Later, someone else came, I said, "From that day on, call me Ahmed the Hut," "If you say 'Emara,' I won’t even respond." You know that energy that deflects negativity? I took the whole thing as a challenge. "Yes, I’m a hut now," "But just wait, when I grow taller, call me 'Ahmed the Tower.'"

And you know what’s funny? You responded in such a clever way. But the other one… because when a person responds like that, the bully’s mind freezes.

Exactly, he’s stunned. He’s thrown off completely. It leaves him speechless. He can't find a comeback. That really, really helped the problem to fade away. Gradually, it disappeared. Back then I didn’t even understand why, but it simply faded out completely until it was gone. And after I grew taller, I truly became 'Emara (Building).'

Wonderful. So, high school ended, and you entered university. What was your first major?

Psychology.

You immediately chose psychology?

Yes, psychology. Although, interestingly, I had studied sciences in high school. You know, actually, among the blessings I truly thank God Almighty for is the path my life took. I had pursued the sciences, and I loved it. I was keen to continue in the Faculty of Sciences.

That’s wonderful. However, since we were living abroad in a country that wasn’t my homeland, there were some تقييدات, limitations on admission to scientific faculties.

True, it depended on specific majors, divided between science and literature at the time. I didn’t have the opportunity to enroll in a scientific college. The only way was to return to Egypt to study there. But my father adamantly refused. He firmly rejected the idea. He wouldn’t let me return to Egypt. He preferred that I continue my studies there in Saudi Arabia. So back and forth I went. Let me tell you an incident I’ll forever thank my mother for. That day, one of our friends, his father held a very high منصب in a prominent institution, somewhere significant. And you know, when the university is also your sponsor, they hold your passport. All the students’ passports would stay with the sponsor, with the university, not with us directly. My father didn’t have our passports.

Yes. And then… you know, freshly graduated from high school, full of youthful spirit and teenage rebellion, restlessness… one of my friends told me, "Look, I pulled it off once with another friend of ours," "His father had refused too," "I’ll arrange for someone to get you a lost passport declaration," "And you’ll travel," "You can call your dad the next day from Egypt," "You’ll already be there," "Put him in front of fait accompli."

Truly. And I made the decision. But who caught me? My mother. She overheard me talking on the phone. You know, back then phones were landlines, no mobiles or anything like that. She picked up the receiver, meaning to make a call, but instead she overheard the entire conversation. That evening, she came to me. You know, honestly, Masha'Allah, she’s always been the wise one, managing matters with pure rationality. She realized that once I set my mind on something there was no stopping me. No fear tactics, no intimidation could sway me. She approached me calmly. She said, "Look, you’re determined," "And whatever you set your mind to, you’ll achieve," "I’m sure you’ll succeed at it," "And you’ll be proud," "Proud that you accomplished it," "But just remember afterwards," "There's what you want and what your father wants." How will things be between you and your father then? You're disobeying his orders and acted against his will. Imagine what your relationship will look like afterward. How will your life together be? And then she began to gently teach me about obedience to parents, and that pleasing God should come first, and if you please God, God will please you. At that moment, she touched the religious side within me. She softened something inside me. At first, I didn't respond. I just stayed in bed, lying there thinking for two whole days. And slowly, I began to feel, maybe, just maybe, I should let it go. I should just do what they want. Perhaps it would earn me God's pleasure. And so I went to my father the next day and said, "So, which college should I enroll in?" You should have seen his happiness; he suggested several options. And eventually, the college at that time wasn't called the Faculty of Arts, it was called the Faculty of Social Sciences. And the word "Sciences" appealed to me. 'Sciences.' I said, "Alright, as long as there's 'science' in it, I'm in." And psychology. Psychology, as if I was clinging to anything that had "science" or "knowledge" in it. And so I entered the world of psychology. My father was a psychology professor. I used to love reading his books, although at the time, I considered it a literary study. I didn't yet understand the real depth of it. So I began my journey in psychology. And when I started studying it, I came from a mindset shaped by chemistry and physics and biology and complex equations and geometry. We were studying conic sections, parabolas, projections, and so my mind began to process information differently. This shift allowed me to succeed almost effortlessly. I hardly remember studying at all. I was always playing around. Yet somehow, I remained among the top students at the university. And slowly, all psychological concepts I began viewing through an entirely different lens. It made me start analyzing life itself as if it were a set of equations. If this happens, then that. And since it was a religious university, we studied courses like Monotheism, Jurisprudence, and Hadith. They were integrated into the curriculum. So even religious teachings and spiritual instructions I began to view through this "equation mindset." If this happens, then that. If this, then that. Everything became formulas. And when you start understanding these "formulas" clearly, your life begins to evolve. I started analyzing everything, whether it was psychological or even later on when I studied energy sciences or religious matters. If you look at anything through the lens of a formula and break it down systematically, this plus that plus that equals this. If this result doesn’t happen, then something is missing. You’ll find your entire life starts to balance out. Everything becomes aligned.

Beautiful. When did you start studying energy sciences?

I began studying energy during my master's studies. At that time, certain issues arose that delayed me at the university. I was working on a thesis about internet addiction and its relation to certain personality variables. And at that time, around 1998, the internet had just freshly arrived. May God bless her or grant her mercy, I believe she has passed away now, my supervising professor. I still remember the first day I chose the research title. She said to me, "Internet addiction? Who gets addicted to a typewriter?" That’s when I realized she had never owned a computer nor had she ever used one. She simply had no concept of what internet addiction could mean. For her, it was like saying someone was addicted to a typewriter. How absurd. So I spent six months just trying to get approval for the research seminar, trying to convince her, bringing her evidence that addiction was not limited to substance use. Can you imagine? That was the mindset at the time. Six whole months until finally I found a piece of Arabic poetry that I still remember vividly. It said, "As one addicted to the fox's den." So I said to her, "See? Even in classical Arabic, someone addicted to watching foxes, not using substances." That argument finally convinced her. But I remained stuck due to other issues as well. There were other complications. You know how it is, details. When you have situations where professors want their own children to secure university spots, and my father, being a professor himself, if I succeeded it would mean someone else might lose their chance. There were power struggles, and I ended up facing serious delays in the master's program. And during that time I was involved in some business. I also lost a significant amount of money. Everything started piling up. All the problems converged during that phase. Suddenly an overwhelming amount of tension descended on me, وضغط نفسي. I went from someone who was always succeeding, someone who had never failed, not even once. I remember once, just once, the only time I ever failed was in Islamic jurisprudence back in middle school. And it never happened again in my life. There’s a story behind it; I'll share it later. Anyway, for me to be delayed felt unbearable, and when it comes to a Master's degree, even when I was preparing for it, I was… Let me add another quick point. I earned my high school diploma at the age of nineteen and a half. So my plan was to finish my master's quickly, then move immediately to the doctorate. I dreamed of having it all completed early, to be finished with all my certifications. So for them to delay me in the master's program felt like they were crushing me. That’s how I perceived it back then. But let’s clarify something for the audience. In the past, high school graduation used to happen at a particular age. Nowadays, at nineteen you’ve already entered university and it's تقريباً, it might be the second or third year.

Yes, but I’m not fully updated nowadays on how things are, but I’m speaking about how it was in our days. Even during my time there wasn't much difference between my generation and yours; they are the same. But today, people who hear this might be surprised. Nowadays, at eighteen or seventeen students enter university. Back then, it was a major achievement to be at that stage at such a young age.

Exactly. I earned my university degree… sorry, I think I said high school diploma, but I meant university… yes, around nineteen and a half years old. I was trying to clarify this point, the university degree, not the high school one, apologies. Because while I was in the army, it became clear to me. How did I find out? Because when they organize batches, they sort them by birth year. Exactly. So I… there was a brigadier in the army. He brought me into his division. He said, "Come, I want to show you something." He told me, "I had to see you myself." And he took me to the weapons allocation map where it showed the distribution according to birth years. And there it was: "Born in 1977, Ahmed Emara," and the only one in the entire army at that age. So I was the only one. They were wondering how I held a university degree at that age. I was filled with enthusiasm, eager to finish everything quickly. So these delays completely threw me off course. I had also begun diving into the business world, full of excitement. You know, the energy of youth, the adrenaline of action, the belief that you must grow up quickly and stay big. All those ideas that society, God forgive them, had programmed into us. So with financial losses and personal struggles mounting, suddenly I started developing severe allergies. Extremely severe. I began experiencing breathing issues, allergic reactions to dust, to wool. If I wore wool, my whole body would turn red. I would struggle to breathe, feeling suffocated. Even if someone merely passed by wearing wool, my skin would break out in rashes and irritation, my skin would break out in rashes and irritation. It became extreme. Even my hair started turning white rapidly. I felt like I was falling apart. There was a moment when I looked at myself in the mirror. It was during this period that I first heard about the concept of meditation, التأمل, how they could calm a person’s mind. I entered that world with the intention of finding peace. I desperately needed something to calm me down. I was burning inside like a furnace of thoughts. You know what I'm saying? Another pivotal moment. There was an incident. I was attending a sermon delivered by my grandfather. My grandfather was one of the distinguished scholars of Al-Azhar, may God have mercy on him. He was delivering a khutbah (sermon). And during the sermon, he spoke about the story of Prophet Solomon and the throne of Queen Bilqis. He recited the verse (He who had knowledge from the Scripture), and he continued, "and he was a man," when he explained that this was a human, but we were often taught it was a jinn, not a human being. That day, my mind wandered deeply. Who could this man have been? A man capable of such a feat through knowledge? What kind of knowledge could enable such power without the technologies we have today? Coincidentally, after that—I really don't believe in coincidence—but, truly, it was divine providence, I came across one of the scholars I admired deeply sharing a story, the story of Yarmouk, the Battle of Yarmouk. He described Hercules, the Roman emperor at the time—Hercules, the Byzantine emperor known for his immense power and tyranny. Yet when he saw the Muslim army advancing as they fought at Yarmouk, he realized it was the end. They had occupied Syria, but he leaned over and said, "Farewell, Syria," "Farewell forever," "For in that army," "were men who, if they had simply pointed at the wall, it would have crumbled." So they fled, and the army withdrew. At the time, there were approximately 200,000 Roman soldiers, while the Muslim army numbered only 30,000 to 40,000. At that moment, I became deeply absorbed thinking about the true power of faith. It fascinated me. What kind of strength does faith give? He said that through the faith they possessed…

And the power within them, they could make the very walls fall with a mere gesture. And this made me wonder, What kind of force resides within us?

I began reflecting on what we had studied in psychology. The strength of human willpower. Like the story of the mother whose child was trapped under a fallen tree. In a surge of emotion, she ran and lifted the tree to rescue her child, and she hugged him. Later, when others tried to lift the tree, they could not even budge it. It was far too heavy for them. What happened inside of us? That kind of power sparked my curiosity. I began to dive more inside. And this became the starting point when I truly began my study of energy. I discovered concepts like energetic charges, cleansing negative energy, and energetic purification. I started charging myself positively. I was in it for the experience.

Meanwhile, information was flooding in from all directions. And among that flood, there was plenty of misinformation, utter nonsense. Yet some information منطقية للغاية. Other things I would laugh at and mock, ridiculing the absurdity of it. So I started filtering everything carefully, cleaning up the knowledge I absorbed and applying what I truly understood. Bit by bit, my skin started clearing up. Before, I was surviving only through inhalers. Doctors had told me that once you rely on inhalers past a certain age, they said it was permanent, you can never stop. But Praise be to God, it all disappeared. It completely vanished. When I applied this to myself and I realized the transformation, I delved deeper. I began traveling extensively, exploring different schools of thought. I can say that I have studied most of the major energy schools.

Because every school, and this is something important that people must understand about energy, Energy is exactly like electricity. Okay. Or better yet, let’s compare it to a car. You know the mechanical energy that propels a car forward? Some people buy a car and use it as a taxi. Yes. Another person buys a car and uses it at an airport, for example. Someone else buys a luxury car, uses it privately, and gains prestige from it. Now, can we say that a car is only meant for taxis? No, it depends on how it’s used. A taxi driver uses it one way, someone else uses it differently. Another might use it for cargo transport, to move goods. Okay. So every person’s awareness dictates how they utilize the car. Their consciousness shapes how they use it. The same is true for energy teachers. Exactly, you nailed it. If someone studies energy, their personal background matters. Every background influences how they apply energy teachings. In Egypt, we call it "it fades." Yes, its color fades. Like when you throw two colored garments in a washing machine and they bleed onto each other, it all gets muddled together. Thus, you realize that culture, the person’s culture, not just their general culture, but their religious upbringing as well, their traditions and their customs, all seep into the energy knowledge they practice. And the same thing with their religion. Yes, their religious culture. Yes, along with their traditions too. If you study under someone, for example, who is an atheist, you will notice that he injects a subconscious resentment toward God and weaves it into his teachings. It seeps through, often without even realizing it. You can sense his sarcasm, sometimes even mocking religion during lectures, sometimes even mocking religion during lectures. He would openly ridicule faith and God during sessions. He would openly ridicule faith and God during sessions. You know, if you attend a class with a Christian teacher, you’ll notice Christian elements creeping into his energy teachings. If he is Hindu or Buddhist, the same applies. And moreover, even within the same religion, differences emerge. For instance, a Protestant teacher would present concepts distinct from a Catholic one. Exactly. You know. Yes. So what would happen is this: If you strip these teachings of their religious layers and look at them purely, you realize, they are actually the essence of our own religion. It amazed me. How could we have overlooked it for so long? That realization fueled my passion even more. But explain how exactly is the essence of religion? How is the energy the essence of our religion? Let’s explain it properly, step by step. Alright. How? Allow me to elaborate. What is faith, after all? Today, for example, when God commands us (If there are among you twenty who are steadfast, they will overcome two hundred). Yes. But if faith weakens (And He knows that there is weakness among you), one believer would overcome only ten. Exactly, beautiful. Now ponder this: What is happening inside? What changes within due to faith? What does faith do internally that enables one to overcome ten while another struggles against two? Think about it. What is faith doing exactly? You cannot physically grasp it. This is what we call "energy." Faith produces a real tangible effect on the body, on the mind, on the sharpness of one’s instincts, and on the ability to act wisely at the right moment rather than making poor decisions. As a result, your capabilities multiply; instead of defeating two, you defeat ten. Beautiful. Exactly. Now, let’s set faith aside for a moment. There’s another point; this is why God says, What does He say? In the name of Allah (And incumbent upon Us was support of the believers). Now here’s a crucial point: The believers. And notice, God didn’t specify, Believers in what? Simply "believers." So I always tell people, Whatever manifests in your life is aligned with what you truly believe. And God grants you victory in it. If you believe that the enemy will defeat you, then victory will indeed come in that form because that is your belief. God grants you victory based on what you believe in. Thus, if you believe in defeat, strengthen your faith that God will grant you victory. If you believe they possess weapons and superior means, then you are placing then you are placing your faith in weapons rather than in your Creator. Of course, I am not suggesting that you proceed recklessly. No. You must take the necessary means, but your faith must complement these efforts. This completes the equation. That’s why I love to call it The striving of the soul alongside the striving of the body. Thus, faith is the striving of the soul. Let us set aside faith for now; that’s one dimension. Okay. Now, allow me to share a few surprises. Energy is mentioned in the Qur'an, and the Qur'an is remarkably precise. Indeed. Every aspect of energy has a specific term in the Qur'an. For instance, take the female, the woman. Yes. In the Qur'an, she is described in different ways as "a wife." When God says "wife," it conveys specific meanings and attributes. But if He says "woman," the attributes change. The terminology shifts even though it’s the same person. But if the Qur'an says "his woman," it implies discord between them. Either she is older and he is younger, or vice versa, or perhaps he is fertile and she is barren, or the other way around. Once discord arises, they are no longer a matched pair. They are no longer perfectly complementary. The term changes, and it no longer remains wife. It becomes woman. Beautiful. And he no longer remains "her husband"; he is referred to as "her hubby." So, when the term changes, the meaning shifts. Energy works exactly the same way. Today, for example, if I carry negative or flawed information, you can feel my mind is blocked. We even say casually, “What’s wrong? Your face looks gloomy.” That gloom is negative energy. Its opposite is light. Thus, energy exists between light and darkness. These are Qur'anic terms. Light. Beautiful, right? Now, let’s take it further. My personal characteristics, my own attributes, Ahmed Emara’s attributes, whether it’s my truthfulness or my falsehood, my love or hatred, those, what are they called in the Qur'an? My personal energy. Not the light; this is the energy of my being. It’s like my unique imprint. In the Qur'an, it is called "Smell." Meaning, when Prophet Jacob said “Indeed, I find the smell of Joseph,” He didn’t say "I smell his scent." He said, “I find the smell of Joseph.” Meaning, I feel his energy. He is alive; he has not died. In simple terms, when he said “I find the smell of Joseph,” it was as if he was declaring, "I can feel his energy tells me he’s alive." It’s the energy of life, not of death. Beautiful, isn’t it? That’s why when your energy is scattered or if it is left unguarded, because you should protect it. You know, when you don’t protect your energy, it becomes exposed. And when energy becomes exposed, it drains. It’s like a battery running out. Imagine you have your power bank, or rather, the battery itself. Leave it connected for a while, and what happens? It loses its charge. Exactly the same thing happens to us. That’s why God told us something crucial about our energy (and do not dispute) (and [thus] lose courage and [then] your strength would depart), meaning your energy. So when I begin to understand these religious meanings and apply them, I realize your collective energy, instead of being united, will scatter and dissipate. And you know what? Let me share a surprising fact. For some people, at least. Privacy, or let’s say your personal boundaries in religion, it is called "Awrah," right? Meaning, the house. God says in the Qur'an that our homes are awrah, private sanctuaries. "They are not awrah," He says in another context, and He mentions ([These are] three times of privacy for you) in the Qur'an. Stay with me (before the dawn prayer, and when you put aside your clothing at noon, and after the night prayer). The word "Awrah" means something that should not be exposed. That’s why they used the word "Awrah" instead of "Saw'ah." And that’s a misunderstanding. The private parts of the body are actually called "Saw'ah," not "Awrah." Awrah is anything that you dislike having exposed or known. Even the way I look while I’m eating, that’s Awrah. For instance, if I enjoy eating, that’s part of my Awrah; no one should be peeking at me. I wouldn’t want anyone to watch me do that. That’s why eating itself is Awrah. By the way, if someone is eating, it’s not right to violate their privacy. You shouldn’t stare at them. Okay. Every home should be considered an Awrah. No one should spy through its windows. But they turned it into a business. But it is all magic. Magic in the Qur'an refers to the illusion of the eyes—that you see what does not exist, that you see things contrary to reality. Magic—you know, Prophet Moses and the Pharaoh's magicians—tell me, is there anyone on Earth stronger than the Pharaoh’s sorcerers? You might say yes or no, but I’ll tell you that the Qur'an confirmed that Pharaoh, who ruled several nations from among our lands and who was steeped in sorcery—he was well-versed in it. What's happening is that people have abandoned God's words in religion and started living in delusions in their minds. They became prisoners of these people. That’s why God always told us (So give good tidings to My servants who listen to speech). Then what? (and follow the best of it). Not the ones who spread fear or tales of jinn, demons, and superstitions. That's pure nonsense. Good, then. Thus, when I follow the best words—look, today my Lord has given me a principle called "gratitude"—I'm saying it today openly to everyone. Anyone who is envious, anyone who has had magic cast on them is simply not practicing gratitude. That's it. And let me tell you, as I mentioned earlier, when "permission" mentioned in the Qur'an, it means that all laws are overridden. When God says "permission," it means the laws are broken for your benefit. If you're poor, wealth will come to you from beneath the earth. Don't ask how. If you are weak, you will be granted strength from beneath the earth (My Lord, enable me to be grateful for Your favor upon me). This gratitude is associated with divine permission, not just ordinary permission. This could change the rules. So I'm saying, as I told you earlier, these divine formulas—if you don't see an increase, then know that you are not practicing true gratitude. If you master gratitude, my friend, even if I don't want to, we're going to shake up a lot of people's beliefs, because one of Satan’s tricks is that he distorted the concept of gratitude. He replaced it with "praise." People say, "Thank God," and think they are being grateful, but they are not truly grateful. Can you imagine? To the extent that God said in the Qur'an (But few of My servants are grateful). People don't realize it. All day long they say, "Thank God," "Praise be to God," while they were thinking that they were giving thanks. Did anyone explain to them that praise and gratitude are different? See how far the manipulation has gone? So when someone gets envious or faces harm, it's natural because there’s no gratitude—because there’s no gratitude. You mean people should say "Thank God." You mean people should say "Thank God" more than "Praise be to God"? People say "Praise be to God," but that’s not true gratitude. No, I know. But what’s supposed to happen is to say "Thank God." So whoever behaves like this is following whose methodology? The moment someone says, "Beware, your faith is in danger," know that this is one of the devil's tactics. Tell him, "don't I understand? Let me say something psychological here: anyone who tells you, "Don’t do that or your faith will be ruined," is using fear against you. Yes, because it's a real clear prohibition. No one uses adultery as a scare tactic. No one uses alcohol to frighten people. No one says, "Don’t eat carrion or your faith will collapse." Of course not. Of course not. So if you see someone doing that, know he’s misusing religion and uses your lack of religious knowledge to scare you. When you think about it, know that Satan frightens you from it, which means there's something positive behind it. Look deeper. You'll be amazed by the positive outcomes. Do you understand me? Qur'an from cover to cover, you would not find a single command where God explains precisely how it must be carried out. So that you, in fulfilling it, may innovate and create according to the elevation of your consciousness. Because it differs, the Qur'an addresses every level of awareness. One thing for the child, another for the adolescent, another for the adult, yet another for the elder; something for the ruler, something else for the soldier, and another thing for the captive. Each according to his level of consciousness and understanding.

So today, when you encounter a command in the Qur'an—eat and drink—say, "Eat"—how should you eat? With a fork? A knife? Chopsticks? What should you eat—glucose, perhaps? According to your awareness. Apply the verse accordingly.

What happened, however, is that religion was reduced to a mere set of rituals. Even imagine even prayer, which God commanded us to perform—if you are ill, you pray differently; you pray according to your condition, even if you are fighting. The form of the prayer changes, so you are not bound to a rigid formula. Imagine—He even gives examples when we are in pilgrimage or performing Umrah. When one prays before the Kaaba, some pray facing north, others pray facing south; some face east and others west, and yet they are all praying, and they are all correct. Whoever contemplates this realizes the vastness of this religion. It is the rigid-minded who confined it within narrow bounds. All mathematics—we were its pioneers. The very foundation of science itself is ours. Did you know that the first anatomical studies? They even forbade it. Can you imagine? Everything was deemed forbidden.

In the past, perhaps; nowadays those who declare things forbidden are just a few young people on TikTok, not scholars. We are in a relatively trivial phase, a foolish stage that will pass. In the past, however, it was the official Mufti of the state who issued prohibitions. When bathtubs were introduced into homes, people used to relieve themselves in the streets. When bathrooms were invented to be installed inside homes, they declared them forbidden, and official state Muftis issued fatwas in the name of religion. They said there would be no prayers accepted in any home that contained a bathroom. I swear by God. They called it filth, they deemed it impurity and asked, "How can impurity be placed inside a Muslim home?" And people were convinced. When we look back on this today, we laugh. Our heritage has been marred by much absurdity.

Thus, those who read—which most people do not—when they read and see that in the past even the great scholars prohibited countless things, how religion was weaponized to forbid everything in life. Today, when you see a few youngsters forbidding things, you simply laugh. Now, if someone says to you, "Anything you wish to know about religion you must ask the scholars," those who have studied religion for many long years—surely, understanding religion is required of every Muslim, but let me ask you a question. Yes. Isn't this religion? Yes. What you just said—is it religion? Am I right? Yes. Then bring me a text, one that says so, from the religion itself. Prove it to me with evidence from the religion. You wish to speak to me of religion without textual proof? It’s just like when you visit a doctor when you're sick. I'll clarify it for you because it’s human knowledge. Yes. Because a university established that field of knowledge. The university built the curriculum, conducted research, and awarded certifications, and this confusion in psychology, we call it a logical fallacy. And people fall into this error frequently. Earthly sciences, the knowledge humans developed, are certified by those who created them. Those who conducted the research and reached conclusions—whether in medicine or pharmaceuticals—are the ones who offer courses and grant you a certificate to practice their methods and treatments. Even those who take specialized medical courses are studying specific protocols, and these protocols are designed by the doctors themselves, the same doctors who later grant licenses based on them. You are speaking as if it were ancient times, whereas today even five minutes of research suffices. Wonderful point. Let me tell you something: we are in a different era. Let me give you an example. And here’s the even more dangerous point: people are unaware that we live in times where people keep hitting a ceiling without even realizing it. The real problem is right there. The blessing one realizes when studying psychology is this: people hit ceilings. They imagine, for instance—taking the example of Imam al-Bukhari—Imam al-Bukhari, he toiled, exhausted himself throughout his life, spending years in study to become a scholar. Al-Bukhari began writing Sahih al-Bukhari at what age? At sixteen years old. How much knowledge could he possibly have acquired at that time? How much knowledge could he possibly have acquired at that time? Tell me, what could he have truly learned? Today, my son Basel, if he spends three days on YouTube or the internet, he would acquire far more knowledge than Bukhari had access to. But their awareness was different from ours. Do you think so? For example? Are you sure? What is awareness, anyway? Means that their era was completely different from ours. What is awareness? Their awareness was so limited that if they encountered anything unusual, they attributed it to spirits and demons. Such was the awareness of that era. Study it. We have a religious principle clearly stated, and anyone who has studied religion knows it well: that the Prophet’s actions—"Sunnah"—carry more authority than his words. Meaning, an act performed by the Prophet is more powerful than something he merely said. Alright. Now, when the verses regarding fasting were revealed—and here’s where we dive into jurisprudence—I’m recalling this from memory—when the verses of fasting were revealed, God said (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful) (Complete the fast until the night) (And eat and drink until the white thread becomes distinct from the black thread of dawn). Right. Beautiful. Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was once passing by, and he found one of the companions tying a white thread and a black thread to his feet. That was their level of awareness. He tied the threads together and waited, watching them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) saw him and neither rebuked him harshly nor commanded him to go ask the scholars and elders. Instead, he smiled—for the man was sincerely trying. He smiled warmly, gently explained the truth to him, and moved on. The Prophet smiled, corrected him with kindness, and left him in peace. Beautiful example.

Thus, it is my duty—which is why we destroyed—not us, thank God, but others destroyed—and now, by God’s grace, we are reviving it. And we hope—it is returning with strength, by God’s bounty. Since 2009, I have been giving lectures, and many of the young people who attended were mere children when they began, and now, by God’s will, they have blossomed and have become brilliant. I am striving to restore the culture of critical thinking and intellectual pursuit with full force. It is a mission set firmly before me, and I know God will hold me accountable for it on the Day of Judgment. Perhaps for the first time, I publicly declare that in the past, the spirit of ijtihad—independent reasoning—was brutally suppressed in our Islamic nation for many years. It was killed. People were forbidden to think, and still today… I could say more, but I won’t stir the pot. Enough said. Innovations and ideas were condemned without any divine mandate, led by the hand of the devil himself to prevent you from contemplating or striving to understand. Are you following? Yes. And among all this, there were indeed matters that were truly forbidden by Sharia. Anyway, moving on—what happened was this: When I see the Messenger of God acting in this way, then when I encounter someone making an effort, I should smile and say, "Bravo, well done." It is excellent that you are trying. This is the true spirit of scholarship. It is excellent that you are thinking, but let me show you the correct understanding.

Let me tell you a story that just came to mind. I’m not sure—research it yourself—about who exactly it involved. I think… it was one of the great Imams, along with another Imam—perhaps Imam Malik and Imam al-Shafi'i. I’m drawing this from memory from a long time ago. I was still a child when I first heard it. I haven’t revisited it recently, but it resurfaced now as a relevant example. Apparently, Imam Malik issued a fatwa for someone, but the man left unconvinced—it didn’t sit well with him. Even though it came from Imam Malik—and remember, they lived with the true jurisprudence—the man refused to accept it blindly just because it came from Imam Malik. No. There was even a saying, “No fatwa is given while Malik is in Medina.” Such was his stature. Anyway, as the man was leaving—if I recall correctly—he encountered Imam al-Shafi'i, who was still unknown at the time. He asked him, “What’s the matter, my friend?” The man replied, “Imam Malik told me such and such.” Al-Shafi'i said, “I have a different opinion.” The man asked, “Are you serious?” He said, “Yes, absolutely.” The man replied, "Can you tell him, please." At that time, he was still a student of Malik. He was his student. Yes. So when they returned, he said to Imam Malik, “O Imam, I see it differently—such and such and such.” What did Imam Malik do? He praised him. He said to those around him, "Listen to him." "This is true knowledge." When he reflected on the student’s reasoning, he acknowledged it. This reminds me of an old saying attributed to Imam Ali: "Know the men by the truth, not the truth by the men." Indeed. Do you see the difference between the two? It means that even if I do not know a man personally, if I hear him speaking—this and that—and I’ll be like, "Who is this man?" I recognize him by the truth he upholds. Yes. But today, people have reversed it. They say, "Sheikh so-and-so said…" Or, "That scholar said…" Thus, they believe it must be true simply because of the name. My friend, you must recognize the truth independently of the people. They have flipped the principle upside down. Now they live by a false principle. They recognize the truth based on men, not the other way around. They say, "So-and-so said…" By God, sometimes when you say, "God said," they reply, "But Sheikh so-and-so said…"

Let me tell you a little secret, just between us: God has forbidden backbiting and made it a grave sin in the Qur'an. And His Messenger also forbade backbiting and slander. Both are strictly prohibited. And there is a hadith that says, "Backbiting is worse than adultery." Of course, some scholars have labeled this hadith weak. Nonetheless, there is another authentic hadith that defines backbiting—a sahih hadith according to their own stringent standards of authentication—meaning, "backbiting is mentioning something about your brother that he dislikes," even if it is true. And if you speak falsely about him, then it is slander. This is the direct text of the Prophet’s hadith. If you are lying about someone, it is no longer backbiting; it becomes sheer calumny. And that is even more grievous. God described it as such in the Qur'an. He said regarding it—about the matter—God Himself spoke of— (You thought it insignificant, while it was, in the sight of Allah, tremendous). Can you imagine? The Creator of the universe says this. This is regarding backbiting and slander. It is mentioned explicitly in Surah al-Humazah, which contains some of the harshest punishments in the Qur'an specifically concerning backbiting and slander—(scorner going about with malicious and gossip) (He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal). Exactly like today’s social media influencers and YouTubers who believe their YouTube money will last forever. They spread gossip for the sake of views and revenue. The verse describes them precisely. They engage in backbiting, saying, "One of the scholars allowed backbiting for the sinners." And these you call men of religion? When you are told, "This is God’s word," or the word of the Prophet, or the Qur'an regarding punishments, they counter it with the opinion of a scholar. These are the people who take the truth from men—as long as he is a scholar. These are the ones whom God referred to when He said regarding their leaders—do you know the verse that says?— (The Day their faces are turned about in the Fire they will say, 'how we wish we had obeyed Allah and obeyed the Messenger'). Are you with me? (Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries and they led us astray from the path). So you, O Lord, declared that backbiting and slander are forbidden, and Your Messenger declared them forbidden, yet those permitted it against the sinners. And who gave you the right to judge someone a sinner in the first place? Otherwise, you see me as corrupt, and I see you as corrupt; it would become a society of endless slander and backbiting. Thus, society has decayed. This is why… And as a specialist in psychology, I have studied these phenomena. I see the danger unfolding, and I realized it from the moment I entered the field that neither Satan nor his allies would ever leave me alone, and I accepted the challenge and pressed forward.

Do you get provoked by people, Doctor, when they respond by saying, "Who are you to speak about religion?" "There are scholars," they say, "Who are you compared to them?" I actually enjoy such remarks. I simply respond, "Bring me anyone you like, praise be to God." I told them, "Bring me a real scholar, truly learned." And indeed, I debated twice on television with top scholars—true scholars, not some random person shouting insults or another posing as a "sheikh" just because he grew a beard. No—true scholars, truly educated men. The ones you see today growing beards deceive people in the name of religion. Those who curse others don’t even understand what religion truly means. In fact, in jurisprudence, there is a principle called “prohibited in itself” and “prohibited due to something else”—precisely in "Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence"—“Prohibited in itself” and “prohibited due to something else” means that something is intrinsically forbidden. Meaning, it is inherently, unconditionally haram. That’s it. It is forbidden in and of itself. Like blood consumption—it is intrinsically forbidden. Pork is forbidden—this is what is called “prohibited in itself.” Whereas there’s something called “prohibited for other reasons”—prohibited due to circumstance. For example: Is television haram or halal? There’s no blanket ruling. It depends on what you use it for. It’s a double-edged sword, as they say. What matters is how you use it. The same goes for medicine. Brilliant, exactly. It all depends—your action determines whether it is halal or haram. So based on how you use it, its ruling is determined. It depends on your action—beautiful. Yes. But those who don’t understand this will just declare, "Energy is haram." My friend, if you think like that, then what are you even talking about? You don’t understand the difference between the two. There’s no such thing as "energy is haram." What is this nonsense? These are mere superstitions about energy. Brilliant. When you look at these people carefully, you realize—as I told you earlier—that none of them are true scholars of religion. They are just a bunch of young men—some of them barely out of childhood—joining the noise and chaos. And today, a new trend has emerged on social media: the more views you get, the more money you earn. Thus, they have begun to worship money. So they start attacking others just for views. Can you imagine? They make a living from backbiting and slander. They earn money from haram. May God help you with your provision if this is the sustenance you’re content with. May God guide you—just take a moment to reflect on yourself.

Now, what’s happening is people are not aware of all this. They simply repeat what they hear. If you want to discuss knowledge, then bring a real scholar—truly educated—and we can sit and debate properly. If you claim to be a scholar in such matters, then let me ask you about worldly energies—the energies above and the energies below—the lower forces. In English, they call them "كينونات". Are there beings besides humans, jinn, and animals? Truly, I ask you—are viruses not also beings? I mean, among the creations we know, are there other creatures beyond these? Beyond the things we already know? Is it possible for a person, at the peak of meditation or deep contemplative states—what they call a "حالة التأمل"—to sense, or see, or feel the presence of beings around him protecting him? Some people speak of "الملاك الحارس". Others say they have seen "كينونات ظلامية"—different kinds of beings. That’s an excellent question. Knowledge is endless. Now, first of all: Energy, from its smallest form to its greatest manifestation, is a created being. Yes. From the largest to the smallest of creations—such as bacteria, amoebas, and the like—single-celled organisms or double-celled—all of this… It’s called "كينونة". Now, let’s move forward. A person who is trained in energy studies might be able to sense or perceive viruses even before the invention of the microscope. Yes. I will repeat that sentence again: A person who has studied energy might be able to sense the presence of viruses. Any energetic entity can be felt—whether positive or negative. They can study it; they can sense it. But there’s a point to consider: how the brain’s receptors interpret that energy. Now, here’s an example. Let me complete the idea: beautiful. How does a dog see it? He sees it as رمادية. He perceives it. Of course, animals have entirely different أبعاد of perception than we do. Whose reality, then, is the true one? You see my point? Our minds interpret matters in their own way. But if they recognize it immediately, it means they have seen it repeatedly, and we begin investigating. Because the mind interprets reality based on prior exposure. A child who has been exposed to explicit material, the moment he sees such an image, his mind immediately retrieves the association, and then laughs in reaction. Yes, it’s the brain conditioning him. That’s الاشتراط السلوكي you are referring to.

Brilliant. Indeed. It is your cognitive framework that emerges and shapes this perception. Wonderful. So what happens next? The allies of Satan begin implanting terrifying mental images, demonic images, to scare people away from approaching certain realms. Alright. Thus, the Devil succeeds in driving people away from benefiting, using the method of fear and intimidation. Fear Satan. Fear. You find someone trembling, their body reacting, thinking it’s Satan, terrified. They are programming you, but you are free, but ultimately, you are the one who loses. Don't think anyone is going to chase after you. You are the one at loss. Indeed, do as you please; you are free.

They even did the same with Islam. How? They distorted the image of the religion, claiming that it separates a woman from her husband. Right or wrong? They said, "This Muhammad," "What is this? Has he reduced all the gods to a single God? What a catastrophe," can you imagine? In the era of the Prophet, peace be upon him. Can you imagine? He would declare that God is One. God forbid. And says this to the others. And the people, “What is this? God forbid,” “He's saying God is One.” Can you even imagine?

Once, I was sitting with someone, a Christian, who came to me and said, “Listen, today at the church they attacked me because I attend your lectures.” I asked him, “What did they say to you?” He replied, “They said that man, Ahmad Emara, considers Jesus not to be divine.” And indeed, they accuse me based on something that will make me laugh when I hear it. Yes. Do you understand? The intellectual methodology I have taught you—that this is the work of the Devil and programmed you to recognize it for years. Then one says, “This man uses energy.” Thus, you recall what I programmed into you and make that your مرجعية. I get it. Just like someone today who believes that the cockroach is a deity. And after years of being told that the cockroach is God, he prays to it. And today, he attacks Ahmad Emara because he claims, “The cockroach is not God.” “What? Truly?” “God forbid, stay away from him.” “He denies that it is God.” Do you now grasp what has happened? "Come on, he says that a menstruating woman should not fast." My friend, the مرجعية you have is already flawed. Thus, they establish a wrong مرجعية and build upon it. That is why the contemplative, those endowed with insight, must ask, “From where did you derive this principle?” And so, they trace it back step by step. God, in the Qur'an, named this process “Interpretation.” Return to the fundamental factors and leave behind the distortions of later generations. That is why Prophet Joseph—God taught him the interpretation of dreams and visions, allowing him to trace meanings back to their origins.

In psychology, when someone sees images, we work with them patiently until we uncover the initial reference that shaped their understanding. Thus, we begin to grasp how the subconscious mind has processed things. We continue working in psychology to break down these original associations. Once we dismantle the root, the entire construct collapses within seconds. Thus, understanding dawns and realization sets in. That is why God commanded us to reflect. When you reflect and are inspired, no one can simply pour thoughts into your mind and lead you astray, and being molded like a mannequin, and being molded like a mannequin. By the way, this is the traditional interpretation, that when a person is about to die on the Day of Death—this is my idea—it's the same meaning. But you removed death from the discussion. Focus with me for a moment. No, listen, I am not just speaking idly; I am conveying what I have seen, what I have heard, and what I watched in the video. If not, then it would mean you asked the wrong question. I apologize. Indeed, I did not express a wrong meaning; on the contrary, the meaning remains the same. It’s just that they limit it solely to the afterlife. But who said it cannot apply in this world as well? The Qur'an is valid for all times and all places. Exactly. Forget it now. From this, I understand that there are veils. And these veils prevent me in this life from perceiving many things. Am I right or wrong? Thus, when I die, this veil will be lifted, and I shall begin to see. Exactly. Now, imagine a person today, for example, hears negative things about a certain matter and then hears a verse today and comprehends it for the very first time in his life. Wouldn’t you call that a lifting of the veil? The veil is lifted, and he perceives. Is it a sin then? Will I be cast into Hell for such a realization? Thus, throughout our lives, veils are continually lifted until, at the very end, the ultimate veil is removed. And we shall then perceive a thousand times more. What is so disastrous about that? If anyone has a grievance, because pilgrimage will not erase such wrongdoing. Pilgrimage will not erase these wrongs; it’s in an authentic Hadith. The Prophet said—you know, those who falsely accuse others claim that others attack the Sunnah while they themselves act contrary to it. As for me, I could never ever backbite anyone. But if someone tells you about devils, you will see a dark figure with horns whispering to you. I can thus discern what exists within your subconscious. Now, if the devil wants to keep you away from something good, what would he do? He would present the devil himself to you in a terrifying form, causing you to fear it. See the extent of it? If the meaning was positive and beneficial, he would depict it in an ugly form because you were not trained to discern properly. You are entering an unseen world, after all. Good. Some will exaggerate, and some will not. And these are simply levels of awareness.

Correct. That’s it. But I don’t know who’s in front of me. Let me give you an example, a human example, so people can understand. Today when God says to me, in the Qur’an (Seek help through patience) (and prayer), does that mean that when I seek help through patience, I have committed shirk? Because I sought help from something other than God? And when a hadith tells me, "Seek help in fulfilling your needs by keeping them secret," then I seek help through secrecy and not directly from God. So what now? Will you call me a disbeliever? The flaw is in the understanding. When I seek help through secrecy, I understand that the Messenger who advised this spoke by God’s command, and thus, when I act upon it, it is God I am obeying. Exactly. But I could say, "I sought help through secrecy." Then someone would exclaim, "Seek refuge with God, man." You realize his understanding of religion is shallow. Today, if I use a remote control to open the TV, should I now say, "I seek refuge with God from Satan"? I used AI today. Did you see the absurdity? This shows a lack of depth in their thinking. Today, if I seek help using AI to make a research for me, there you go, would you call that disbelief? You’ll become a thief. Would you call me a heretic just for that? Some people’s thinking, "I seek refuge with God." They claim you must seek help only from God. Come on, man. Thank God it is God who will judge us. Just look at them. Thank God He will judge. Focus on yourself.

It happened when I was sitting with my cousin, may God have mercy on him. May God rest his soul. One day when I was at the peak of my lowest downfall. Yes, the lowest point, the darkest point in my life. You know when you look at a chart, any financial or life chart…

At rock bottom. Yes. Yes, I was at the bottom. I was sitting with him under a bridge in Mansoura called Talkha Bridge, right by the water. And I was sitting there completely overwhelmed. Life had closed in on me. I was drowning in debts; everything was falling apart. Everything was a mess. Covered in acne, miserable, embarrassed to go out with anyone, feeling stuck. So he said, "Come on, man," and he pulled me out of the house. At that time I had gone to live with my grandfather because I was starting to have suicidal thoughts. We lived on the seventh floor. I was afraid I’d throw myself off, so I moved to stay with my grandfather, who lived on the first floor. He called me, so I went to him. As I was sitting there, he looked at me, wanting to help me. So he said to me a sentence that became one of the earliest and most important turning points in my life. Everyone goes through many turning points, but this was one of the most crucial for me.

Yes. So as I was explaining things to him, he asked, "How are you going to pay off all these debts?" "You're just someone who studied psychology," "barely you can work as a student counselor," "or maybe at some psychiatric facility," you know, "He stepped on the mine detonator," as they say. So I said to him there was an even bigger mine detonator. I told him, "No, man, hold on, Psychology," "Psychology is the most important science in life," "It teaches people how to be happy, productive, successful in their lives, how to be strong, how to be empowered," "So he could finally begin to move forward in life." Yes. “I’m perfectly fine,” “I’m doing great,” “I studied علم نفس,” “I’ve memorized half the Qur’an,” “My religious knowledge is excellent,” “I pray, fast, and give zakat,” “I perform Umrah,” “I observe extra prayers.” All of that, frankly, is hypocrisy. It’s outright pretense. It drags people to ruin. Are you with me? So at that moment I realized, Wait a second. This is actually true. This doesn’t show on me. From that moment on, no. That’s not who I am. First, I realized he didn’t understand Psychology. Nor did he grasp its value. So that day, I made a vow. An intention. That I would begin to enlighten people with psychology. Let me tell you something else. As soon as it started, one of my friends called me. Let’s appear on television. At that time, during that period, no one with a psychology degree, except doctors, would appear on TV.

Come on, man. They were all the same. You’d find even the media folks confused. They’d call you a psychiatrist. They didn’t even know the difference. And they wouldn’t know. So everyone they featured was a psychiatrist. So I decided to appear on television and reveal to people the science. That was my plan from day one. People must realize the value of psychology and its significance in life. After that, I laid out a strategy. At that time, anyone who lived through it would know this detail: That 90% of psychiatrists had separate entrances and exits so that no one would see you out of sheer shame as you left the place. That’s absolutely true.

Yes, that’s entirely accurate. Out of overwhelming shame. Out of overwhelming shame. Indeed, people would enter one way and exit through another, from a completely different entrance. They would sneak them in even through the service exit, the one used for deliveries. And it was forbidden for two people to show up at the same time. It was madness.

True. 100%. So I decided to dismantle all of that nonsense. Let me share another dangerous little secret. The people who used to come to me for sessions and courses, I would ask them to call live on air. I’d say, “I have an episode. Call in and share what you experienced.” So they’d begin by saying, “I came to you, I had this issue, and that.” And people find speak casually and openly. I intentionally made it part of most of my shows to have the caller call in and share their experience. Yes. Just speak freely. And when I applied what I had studied, my life began to transform. I thought, how can people still hold such ridiculous beliefs and nonsense? And I realized modern sciences being integrated into psychology, which we had never studied in our program. What we were taught had been obsolete for years. Seriously, at university, we were still studying experiments by Pavlov from the 1920s and 30s.

Doctor, it’s normal. I was just a student, graduated in 2007, and we still studied the same outdated material.

You too, you see what I mean? Experiments that dated back to the time of Prophet Noah. Anyway, so anyway, we had outdated measurements and concepts that were bizarre.

Yes. And you know what? I believe it was intentional. I mean, honestly, I dare say or even claim that psychology was deliberately placed among theoretical colleges so that people wouldn’t benefit from it. It belongs in a practical college, not a theoretical one. And I’ll continue my claim, and I claim that religious scholars are all from theoretical backgrounds, graduates of literary colleges, so their minds remain inactive.

You mean to say academies. Yes, intentionally ensure that religious scholars come from literary backgrounds, not scientific. Literary. Because if religious scholars came from scientific fields, they’d be more profound in jurisprudence. So jurisprudence wouldn’t remain stagnant.

I see your point. And when you try to debate them, they can’t go beyond “X said, and Y responded.” They’re stuck in it.

Yes. Once, someone was sitting with me, and I swear to God, he did exactly this. He said to me, “What you’re saying is strange,” “You’re making me doubt myself.” I said, “So am I right or wrong?” He replied, “Well, it’s correct,” “But really?” “You’re the only one?” Look, his brain couldn’t comprehend it because he’s used to “He said, she said,” and that’s it.

Yes. I laughed and told him that’s the issue. Those who merely memorize, they memorize, but their brains suffer in terms of scientific comprehension, except those whom God blesses, and they begin to study and learn. That’s why, take this as a principle, I beg you. I hope you truly hear me, and may God hold me accountable for it. As a specialist in psychology, if someone from classical heritage excels in memorization, be wary of their jurisprudence. Because one who memorizes rapidly, their jurisprudential reasoning often declines. And if someone is highly analytical, their memorization may diminish. It’s rare to find both in one person. So when you see someone deliberately coming forward like that, quoting the chapter name and verse number, trying to impress you with his memorization, be deeply cautious of his jurisprudence. Beware of his understanding, I beg you. His awareness and insight.

Yes. Anyway, what I mean is perhaps the clearest example or the most illustrative film that tackled this was a movie. What was it called again? She was one of the top-ranking students. Remind me, what was the name of that film? It starred Yasmin Abdel Aziz. Anyway, she was always at the top, consistently ranked first, a pure memorizer. She even repeated answers in exams word for word, even the punctuation, ha! That’s how much she memorized. That’s why most of the top achievers are just memorizers who can’t function in business because people say, “He memorized, but didn’t understand.”

Exactly. Brilliant. You’ll find most top scorers in our educational system, yes, the academic curriculum, unfortunately, as it exists in our world, except for recent updates, produces individuals who memorize, recite the content word-for-word in exams, and score full marks. Then you find that the top students often end up working as employees for the students who had lower scores, lower grades.

That’s a fact, Doctor. It’s because intelligence, openness, agility, awareness, and comprehension are higher, not in those who merely memorize, but in those who apply themselves deeply, who work hard.

I’ve seen it myself. I speak from personal experience.

Me too, I witnessed it with many people. So the key point here is that one of the things I personally benefited from was the fact that I never liked memorizing too much. I wanted to understand where the information came from and how it developed so I could follow along.

Yes, let me tell you about a moment that happened to me. It’ll be a shocking one. Let’s go. The subject I told you about in Islamic jurisprudence, I failed it during middle school. It was the only subject in my life that I ever failed, and thank God, it never happened again. It was a jurisprudence subject. I don’t remember the details, but I’ll give you an example. You see, if someone came to us, for instance, talking about prayer, different schools of thought differ in prayer; there are essential pillars. Yes. And then there are recommended acts. Is that clear? For example, the opening Takbir "Takbirat al-Ihram." Some people consider it an essential pillar of the prayer. If you forget it, your prayer may be invalid. For example, Sujood (prostration). If you forget the middle Tashahhud, it’s not one of the essential pillars, so the prayer can still be valid. But Ruku’ (bowing) is a condition of prayer; if forgotten, that’s another issue. Anyway, in the obligatory acts of prayer and the recommended ones, you need to be careful. this One would say these are the obligations. Those are the Sunnah. Another might flip them a bit. So they disagreed.

So we’d sit and draw up a chart to keep track of who said what, so we wouldn’t get confused. Who said this is Sunnah? This is obligatory? That kind of stuff.

Let me give you another example. Sujood As-Sahw (the prostration of forgetfulness). Sujood As-Sahw. If it’s obligatory and you forget it, what should you do? And if you forgot a Sunnah act, what should you do? If you’re taking this as a kind of permutation system, you’ll understand.

So today, for instance, if you forget a rak’ah while praying, it’s a pillar. What do you do? Sujood As-Sahw? Brilliant, the prostration of forgetfulness. So, do you say Salam and then prostrate? Or do you stand up and make up the rak’ah and then prostrate for it? There are permutations involved. Maybe.

There were several cases. Exactly. Meaning there were various scenarios. Yes, so someone might say Salam first, then prostrate or complete the rak’ah and then do Sujood As-Sahw. So is the prostration before the Salam or after? It depends. Are you following? Yes. And the cases differ depending on whether it’s an obligation or Sunnah. And those rulings vary between different schools of thought. So many branches. You see that? Yes.

Let me use a word here. You see that entanglement? That’s in the name of knowledge. So we used to sit, I was sitting during the exam. I thought I knew it. We had prepared a table to keep things straight, right? Anyway, I had studied it, but in the exam, I got completely confused. Everything fell apart, and it was all based on memorization, not true understanding. Even though it was a jurisprudence subject. Anyway, each scholar drew his conclusions, developed his own perspective. Then came his jurisprudence, and his, and his, and so on. And eventually, it all turned into text to be memorized. Yes, they reduced jurisprudence to mere text. Anyway, I got confused. And I’m just giving an example, not necessarily the same scenario or ruling, but simply so people can relate.

So I sat there in the exam, totally disoriented. And then suddenly, it just hit me, like a flash, an inspiration of sorts. Some might even call it the devil’s whisper. Anyway, I said to myself, “Wait a minute.” I asked the teacher. He asked me, "What?" “Sir, will God, on the Day of Judgment, ask us this question?” He looked at me like… then said, “Ahmed, are you going to answer or fail?” I replied, “Yes, I’ll answer just so I won’t fail, but there’s no way this would ever be asked in the afterlife.” Then I sat, unable to recall the answer. Was it this or was it that? I kept trying to remember the table I had made. And then another flash of inspiration hit me. This is what Satan scares people with. They’ll say it’s demonic. I swear to God, even if the Prophet Muhammad himself was asked that question, he wouldn’t know the answer because it was created long after his time.

So then I stood up and said to him, “Sir, I swear to God, even if the Prophet Muhammad was resurrected now from his grave and you asked him this question, he wouldn’t be able to answer it.” He got irritated, and the other students started doing this—laughing, nudging each other, realizing, “Hey, he’s actually right.” “What’s going on here, folks?” Is this what’s being taught in the name of religion now? Complication beyond comprehension, in the name of religion. And I swear to God, there are texts and rulings that are so twisted that if the Prophet and his companions returned and were asked about them today, they wouldn’t be able to answer. Yet people assume that this is what must be studied. And Satan did this just to entangle and confuse the world.

So in the end, I failed that subject. At that time, after all that… if I were the teacher, of course I would have failed you too. If I were the teacher, I’m sure you would have. I went to my grandfather and sat with my mother. Of course, I was too afraid to tell my father. You know, I mean, he’d be upset and all that, so I sat down and took the remedial exam and studied hard. I sat for it and passed. I memorized what my mom told me and I just wrote what they wanted to hear.

Anyway, from early on, very early on, if you didn’t give me an equation I could understand, don’t overcomplicate things. I needed to know where it came from and why and how. Don’t just tell me, “Shirk, Shirk.” What is shirk? What does shirk even mean? Tell me, what does shirk mean exactly? Is shirk a tangible thing? Is it something real? A “shirk course”? Go on, show me a set of shirk courses. There’s a partner? A chair? No, it’s not a partner; it’s just something I sit on. It’s a tool. No, I mean this chair and that looks the same, so partners because things resemble each other. Let me explain. I used the chair to sit down. See? That’s shirk because I didn’t rely on God. Let’s follow their logic then, shall we? No. You’re being literal. That’s exactly how they interpret things. Really? That’s exactly it. God is the one who creates means and causes for us. Shirk is a matter of belief. Yes. Shirk is when someone believes or is convinced that this chair will protect them without God’s will. That belief—that’s shirk, not the chair itself. Not everyone who sits on a chair commits shirk. Yes, I get it. Now it’s clear. Good.

Now, second example. Let’s say today I’m going to take medicine. I went to a doctor, a real doctor, and I believed and had faith that this doctor is the ultimate healer apart from God. It shows in my attitude and dependency. I’d be lost without him. That is what’s called shirk. Now the question is, is the doctor himself shirk? Is anyone who goes to a doctor committing shirk? That’s the point. Or was it what I did that constituted shirk? The act itself is the problem. It’s about the idea, the concept, your belief, your conviction. That’s why anyone who talks about this topic of shirk, if they oversimplify it, know they don’t even understand the basics of what shirk truly is. That’s the foundation. Got it? They don’t even grasp its core meaning. It’s clear now. So don’t come to me today claiming… and by the way, someone might believe that energy is what will heal them apart from God. That’s their choice.

I always say this: why is it that I always warn against backbiting and gossip and speaking ill of others? Because that’s what Satan wants them to do. They say, “Ahmed Emara is always warning against gossip and slander so people won’t talk about him.” So they talk even more. They talk more—see the irony? The brilliance of it, because I understood something. There’s a verse in the Qur’an, and I’ve seen its reflection in many sessions. Don’t tell me it’s energy, or… or a blue jinn. There are people, no matter what you do for them, it’s no use. Nothing works. Nothing. I’m someone who’s curious by nature—why? Because I sit and analyze, و احفر, trace the الجذور. All these things I’ve come to see. Yes, and I find someone drenched in what the Qur’an calls “evil deeds,” so I say to him, straight up—I do this in sessions—I take his hand like this, but I don’t say anything about him. I just look at him and say, if he’s younger than me, “Hey you,” just like that. One whom God describes in the Qur’an: (But they who have earned [blame for] evil doing) (The recompense of an evil deed is its equivalent) (And humiliation will cover them) (They will have from Allah no protector). I’ll take on what God will bring upon you. ارتاح قليلاً. First of all, yes, of course. مرتاح أنا, of course. My dear, look. Just look at it. It’s filled with dark energy. Of course, I’m trying to give an example. I was scared when you said that. I was scared when you said that. Honestly, I got scared. Yes, he should realize—God forbid—yes, truly someone does. I’m just saying, I’m laying down a principle. I’m not saying you did it. No, no. I understand. I get it. So here’s the principle: someone continues to commit sins, the kind God warns against in the Qur’an: (They will have from Allah no protector)—like gossip, backbiting, theft, stealing from others and all that. Then you tell me he takes an energy course and he’ll be just fine? You’ve lost your mind. Then you’re shocked. What are you saying? Come on, what did you expect? You’ve got to get things in order, clear the blocks, and understand that’s energy at the first place. But there’s always hope. Of course. Every person has the intention to improve. And maybe… yes, exactly. You know people who falsely accuse and say, “God will forgive them,” claim, “Ahmed Emara is attacking the Sunnah.” They don’t even know what Sunnah is. The Prophet said—in the name of God—I can’t recall the exact text right now—but the highest form of reconciliation is the reconciliation between hearts, and the worst form of corruption is sowing discord between people. That’s the real religious teaching, not the fabricated lies falsely attributed to the Prophet. You with me? So when someone gets up and says something that distorts someone’s perspective of someone else, that’s a religious text that causes the worst kind of corruption. These are the ones whom God speaks about: (And when it is said to them ‘Do not spread corruption on the earth’) (They say, ‘We are but reformers.’) Exactly. (Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters) (but they perceive [it] not). They don’t even understand what corruption means. So you just look at them and smile, and say, “May God guide you.”

Thank you. Alright, Doctor. If I asked you today, have you reached a stage where you can do something that brings you joy without the presence or influence of anyone in your life? What is that thing that brings you absolute joy? Right now, if I were in what’s considered today the harshest form of isolation—solitary confinement—yes. Exactly. Exactly. A solitary cell so narrow that I can’t even turn right or left, forward or backward, and still I would be in a state of bliss that no human being on the face of the earth could ever comprehend, nor could any creature ever take it from me. No living being on earth can strip it away from me. This joy—it has a رعشة—and I feel it deeply as I say this. Even those with high spiritual sensitivity can feel my energy as I speak. It’s a happiness that could make your hair stand on end from sheer delight. It’s like you’re flying in serenity, in stillness and calm that makes you say, “Oh God,” “What more could Paradise possibly offer than this?” Beautiful.

So how can someone listening to this right now or watching say, “I want to feel even ten percent of that, man. Even five percent.” Tell me, what are some things they can do to get started right now? First of all, because this topic has consumed me, it’s become my mission. So I’ve released all the things that destroy people’s lives. They’re all in videos on YouTube. One of the most important, I call it The Psychology of Guidance—look at the behaviors of misguidance and start eliminating them. Because I’m convinced that our default creation is one of divine provision, and we’re the ones who do things that block the energy of sustenance and ruin it. All of these acts block your sustenance, literally cut off your provision and strip away blessings. That’s step one. Step two: start doing things that bring benefit. Benefit means that the one in front of you gains something from you. He receives something that adds value to his life. Because there are people whom the devil deceives, saying, “If I just slander someone to you, that’s me doing you a favor.” No. That’s not benefit. Real benefit is when I bring something positive. Yes, those things are called righteous deeds. I corrected something good. The idea is, if someone is mistaken and I help guide them and correct them without judging them—good. Those who say, “That’s right” or “That’s wrong,” both are mistaken. Look, I… honestly, I didn’t even notice the time. I apologize for the length. No, no, on the contrary. Masha’Allah. I’m enjoying, and I’m sure everyone watching us is enjoying too. I was surprised it’s that late. Masha’Allah. Time passed. See the beautiful energy? My dear, Masha’Allah to you. So do acts of reform with the intention of adding something beautiful to the life of the one before you.

Let me ask you something, Nour. Tell me, I beg you, if every husband and wife, just like that, if each of them woke up in the morning with the intention of making their partner feel grateful to God for their partner—that’s it. Oh my God. Just imagine what a beautiful thought. If I woke up in the morning and prayed, “O Lord, make it easy for me so that tonight my wife thanks You for me,” and she too, says, “O Lord, make it easy so that tonight my husband thanks You for me”—that’s it. That is called reform. Now imagine if that happened between an employee and their manager, between a father and his son, between colleagues. Just imagine what life would be like. This is the simplest thing and yet the highest. I’m giving you right now a billion-dollar insight. Yes, and at the highest level of increasing your provision. Wow. There you have it. The greatest key to increasing sustenance is this. Businesses are built on this principle. I mean, the whole idea of business is based on this. What is the essence of business? What does trade really mean? Trade, which is referred to in the Hadith that says, “nine-tenths of provision lies in trade.” So what is trade? You want something beneficial, so I give it to you, and you give me something I need. True. You benefited and I benefited. That’s called trade. Usury is the opposite of trade. What does it mean? I gave you money, then used it to harm you. You see? You were harmed. One gained while the other suffered. So God prohibited it. You get it now? Yes. Good. So if I build my interactions on the concept of trade, what will happen? God says in the Qur’an: (That is a trade that will never perish) because then I’m no longer trading with you alone; I’m trading with the Lord of the universe. So I say, “O Lord, whoever hears me, let him not walk away from my presence holding hatred for any of Your creation.” All of them are honored, even if I differ with them. I always criticize ideas strongly, not people, and I never mention names. Oh Lord, allow me to be the reason someone gets closer to someone else or learns something that awakens something within them or draws them closer to You or helps them understand the tricks of Satan more clearly, so I keep on spreading benefit. Yes. Whenever the Lord of the universe sees that your kindness outweighs the money you possess, your sustenance will increase. If you need wealth, your relationships will grow if He sees fit because provision comes in many forms. Your health might improve and so on. So your entire life becomes rooted in contribution, in benefit, in business, in trade. Yes. Nice. You get it. I understand you. That’s the summary of every business course. And take this as a rule: if you’re doing the opposite and you take every business and marketing course out there, flip the whole world upside down, you’ll still find blocks. And conversely, if God sees that you are deserving of punishment—any human being, not you, Nour, of course—you’ll receive wealth that becomes a trap, leading you to calamities. So you might rejoice over money, but that money might just be a snare, a setup for disaster. So always check your effort: what kind of effort am I making? And don’t be deceived because money can be a curse and it can be a blessing. It’s true; it can be hell itself. Do you know what the word “Hell” even means? Hell is torment through wealth.
