HPE Private Cloud Business Edition is a self-managed private cloud built with modern hyperconverged infrastructure and HPE Morpheus VM Essentials software. The solution delivers a KVM-based alternative virtualization solution in two optimized configurations running on either HPE Electra MPB10 or HPE SimpliVity.
In this demo, we'll look at how to simplify the deployment and day-to-day management of your virtualization infrastructure with the Electra B10,000. HPE Private Cloud Business Edition with Electra MPB10000 combines HCI-style operational simplicity with the scalability, performance, and reliability of traditional three-tier architecture. It is an engineered DHCI solution comprised of best-in-class hardware with HPE ProLiant compute nodes, HPE Electra storage MPB10000 storage array, HPE Aruba CX switches, and the innovative HPE GreenLake platform providing orchestration with hypervisor flexibility.
Private Cloud Business Edition can deploy and manage compute clusters with either HPE Morpheus VM Essentials HVM hypervisor or VMware vSphere. Regardless of which hypervisor is deployed, the cloud console provides a consistent infrastructure deployment and management experience. The setup process automates the deployment and configuration of the storage array, compute nodes, and optionally certain HPE Aruba switch models. This automation greatly reduces the potential for misconfiguration and manual steps.
Through the cloud management console, the state and health of systems can be monitored with real-time status and daily system health checks. Clusters can be added or have hosts added or removed as needed. The life cycle of the Private Cloud Business Edition systems is also managed through this console via the single-click update process. The system stack components are updated through this automated, non-disruptive process. The updates are tightly controlled with software catalogs that contain fully tested and validated software combinations and are only exposed to systems with a valid update path to the target versions.
Virtualization management is provided through the on-premises VM Essentials Manager UI, which can be leveraged to administer VM workloads running on VM Essentials HVM or VMware vSphere clusters. With HPE Private Cloud Business Edition, improve total cost of ownership, reduce administrative overhead, and right-scale your solution to fit your virtualized workload needs.
