Open Claw is already powerful. Nemo claw makes it unstoppable. So, this is a new update that was just announced at the GTC conference by Nvidia. And you've probably heard about OpenClaw already. It's an AI agent tool that lets you automate almost anything on your computer, right? Millions of developers already using it.
But OpenClaw had one problem nobody talked about. It had zero real privacy protection or, you know, wasn't very secure at all. All right? And so, your AI was running wide open. Nvidia just built a door to close it and it's called Nemo Claw. So this is a brand new update from Nvidia that helps you deploy more secure always on assistance with AI with a single command, right? Which allows you to run autonomous AI agents more safely and it's open source as well which means that you can get it for free today. I'll run you through exactly how it works.
Jensen Huang who's the CEO of Nvidia actually just said that everyone will need an open claw agentic system and so this is really how things are going and that's why they've released this. You can see the full project on GitHub. This was just announced today. It literally just dropped. It's already got 840 stars on GitHub which is pretty awesome and this is a plug-in for openclaw right so it's an open source stack that simplifies running openclaw. installs the Nvidia OpenShell runtime part of the Nvidia agent kit and it creates a more secure environment for running your open claw and that could be with for example something like openclaw and you can install it directly here right it's pretty simple to install it in terms of what you need to run this right so you need Linux NodeJS docker installed and Nvidia open shell installed as well but you can see the details right here so let's cover the basics first of all what is openclaw well openclaw is an AI agent that runs on your computer, right? It's an AI agent that actually does things for you. You can write code, browse the web, manage files, complete tasks, all on its own.
Now, with the new release of Nemo Claw, it's a free wrapper that sits on top of OpenClaw. And you want to think of OpenClaw as a race car, right? Neoclaw is kind of like the seat belt, the airbags, the GPS all installed at once, right? So, it does three things alone that OpenClaw can't do, right? Number one, it adds security guards, right? So, it installs something called Nvidia OpenShell. Open Shell is a runtime that controls how your AI agent behaves. It sets rules for the agent can and can't do. So your AI can no longer go crazy and and start doing crazy stuff, right? This was like the number one thing Open Claw was missing. In the words of Nvidia, Open Shell enables autonomous agents to operate and adapt faster and more safely.
Number two, it protects your data, right? So when you use Open Claw, normally your your data can flow to like cloud service, which means like private conversations, files and tasks, etc. Nemo actually fixed this with a privacy router and this basically decides what stays on your computer and if anything goes to the cloud.
Additionally, number three, this is a big one. It runs AI models locally on your machine. So, Neocron looks at your computer's hardware and picks the best local AI model to run. It uses Nvidia Neatron, a powerful open- source model that runs directly on your GPU. I've already tested that in the past with OpenClaw and O Lama using Nvidia Neatron 3 Super. This basically means your AI agent can work offline as well, right? So that means your data doesn't leave your machine. It's faster, it's cheaper, and it's private.
So how do they work together? Well, essentially open claw is like the brain that does the work and then claw is like the security system, right? And that's basically how it works together. Now this is not for Mac. Just bearing that in mind. So if you're running this on a Mac, you would run it, I think, via a VPS that's got Windows PCs or Linux, right? You also need the Nvidia RTX GPU. You can set it up like this. this how it works. You can see examples of what hardware it can run on. And you might be wondering, okay, why does this matter? Well, it's not really a replacement. Nema claw is not replacing OpenClaw. It's just a power up, right? It's a way to um just make it like more secure essentially.
So, if you want to install it, you can use this or you can give these instructions to the agent to install it directly. These are the features just so you're aware. You can see, for example, I tried to install it um just to test it. I know it doesn't run on a Mac. So, I said, "Okay, thanks. install this with the GitHub link, but it just it won't it will refuse to install it, right? So, you need Linux, Docker, Nvidia, OpenShell, right? It's it's meant for a Linux server or VM, not a Mac.
So, just to recap on what you need to remember here, OpenClaw is the most popular agent in the world. OpenClaw lets you do real tasks on your computer autonomously, but it had issues with security. Nvidia with Nemo Claw is a free open- source fix for that problem. It adds security guardrails with open shell privacy controls and local AR models. And together they create a more secure version of OpenClaw. You can install it in one command. It's not for Mac. It's for Windows and Linux. And it's free and open source. So it's pretty cool.
I actually created a full step-by-step guide on exactly how to use this, a framework for it, and a 30-day road map plus 100 prompts on how to use Neoclaw or OpenCore directly. inside the classroom as well of the AR profitable boardroom which has the video notes from today.
