When Used Together:
ที่ไหน (tee-nai) forms a question asking for the location.
ที่ไหน? (tee-nai?) - Where?
คุณทำงานที่ไหน ครับ? (khun tam-ngan tee-nai krab?) - Where do you work?
ฉันทำงานที่อสกค่ะ (chan tam-ngan tee a-sok ka) - I work at A-Sok.
ผมทำงานที่โรงเรียน ครับ (pom tam-ngan tee rohng-rian krab) - I work at a school.

The word อยู่ (yoo) in Thai is used to indicate location or to express where someone or something is located, living, or staying. It is similar to the verb "to be" in English when referring to a place.
เขอยู่ที่บ้าน (kao yoo tee baan) - He is at home.
บ้าน (baan) - Home.
คุณอยู่ที่ ไหน? (khun yoo tee nai?) - Where are you?
ผมอยู่ที่ โรง เรียน (pom yoo tee rohng-rian) - I am at the school.

You can drop the word ที่ (tee).
ฉันไปทำงานค่ะ (chan bpai tam-ngan ka) - I go to work.
In Real Life, you hear this much more often.
Formal Style:
ฉันไปทำงานค่ะ (chan bpai tam-ngan ka) - I go to work.

เขาไปโรงเรียน (kao bpai rohng-rian) - He goes to school.
คุณไปที่ไหน? (khun bpai tee nai?) - Where are you going?
ผมไปที่ประเทศเยอรมันครับ (pom bpai tee bprathet yer-ra-man krab) - I am going to Germany.
ฉันไปบ้าน (chan bpai baan) - I go home.

คุณไปประเทศอังกฤษใช่ไห? (khun bpai bprathet ang-grit chai mai?) - Are you going to England?
ไม่ (mai) is placed Before the verb. It is similar to the word "not" (mai bpai - not go, or do not go).
ผมไม่ไปโรง เรียน (pom mai bpai rohng-rian) - I do not go to school.
ฉันไม่ทำ งาน (chan mai tam-ngan) - I do not work.

ไม่ใช่เขาไม่ ไปที่อโศก (mai chai kao mai bpai tee a-sok) - No, he is not going to A-Sok.

ผมไม่ทำงานครับ (pom mai tam-ngan krab) - I do not work.
