In the past 24 months, I have sold over $3 million in sales promoting products that I get for free from Tik Tok using one of, if not the best affiliate strategy that I've tested, all while being still active duty in the military. And the best part about this is I've taught this system to dozens of other people making them over hundreds of thousands and even one person in particular over a million dollars in personal profit. And that person, as an example, is my sister who's done over $10 million in sales on this app and taken home over a million dollars in personal profit. And all while becoming the number one Tik Tok shop affiliate for home and living products on this entire app. That's also not including my mom who has never had the Tik Tok app who we ended up teaching how to do Tik Tok shop as well. The exact same stuff and she has done over now $2 million in sales and she's using the exact same systems that I'm going to teach you here in this video as well. I also can't forget about my physical therapist brother who's now making like $40,000 a month in commission doing live streams on Tik Tok shop as well. or even my wife who just only put about 10 hours of total work into this but made almost $2,000 in personal profit in just 60 days. I could probably give you a list of tons of other people or show them here on screen as well if you guys want to see that, but I have mentored tons of people into success on Tik Tok shop.
But I've made two videos that were already big breakdown videos like this, but they weren't as in-depth. But considering that people were asking for a full in-depth breakdown master class of Tik Tok shop, I thought I'd give you this video. So, in this video, I'm going to give you everything that you possibly need to start doing Tik Tok Shop affiliate and start making good money on this app so that there is literally no excuses to why you cannot make money on Tik Tok shop.
First, I want to give you a value stack of what you're going to get out of this video because it is a little bit of a longer video. First thing is I promise you that in this video I will give you a step-by-step framework that you can use to start Tik Tok Shop. I will give you real numbers, real timelines, and real challenges that you can implement today. We'll talk about why most people fail at Tik Tok shop and how you can avoid it yourself. We'll go through live demonstrations of how I film products, how I get products, how I do literally all of that, and of course, honest breakdowns of what it actually takes to be successful as well.
Now, if my over $21 million in sales on this app is not enough credibility to make you trust me, I do also have a post-secary education license, and that was awarded to me because of the military, because I also am a teacher in the military. So, I stand at a podium. I teach people and students going through my classes. and I have over 1,200 hours worth of instructional time at a podium teaching students just like I'm doing here with you today.
Now, one thing I want to get clear right before we start the first section of this entire course is this is not a get quick rich scheme or whatever you want to call those things there. This is not that. This is it can be, but I don't want you to go into it thinking that it is because if you do, you're going to fail. I went into Tik Tok Shop affiliate thinking that it was going to take me months to have success and I was expecting it to. Luckily for me, it was one of those oddball situations where I ended up making over $50,000 in profit my first full month. But again, that's not normal, and I don't want you to go into that thinking that that's what's going to be for you, because more than likely, it's not. But my job here in this video is to show you exactly everything that you need to make it possible for that to happen.
With that being said, let's talk about section one and what Tik Tok Shop Affiliate actually is. The easiest way to explain it is that you, as the affiliate, get free products mailed to your house from these companies, from different companies. It could be a list of different things. You know, Ninja, Crocs, um you think of any company, they will send you these products for free. And then it's your job to make a video or live stream these products within a certain given amount of time frame. And then every time that you make a sale because of that video or because of that live stream from somebody else, like a consumer that's just scrolling on TikTok, you will get a cut of the sale. So you will get like 5% you could get up to 50% of the commission, which is really high, but it does happen. So, for example, you could spend, you know, in theory, you could spend 10 minutes making a video and that video make you $100,000 in profit because you sold a million dollar worth of product. Funny enough, that's actually a very similar situation to what happened to me. Just luckily, I didn't actually put in much work and it was just this happenstance situation.
But one of my favorite parts about Tik Tok Shop affiliate is that there's no inventory that you have to deal with. You don't have to worry about like things going out of stock for your company. You don't have to deal with no customer service. You have no upfront cost. You don't have to upfront a ton of capital to like get these products distributed to all these manufacturing facil, you know, you don't have to do any of that stuff. One of my other big favorite things about what Tik Tok shop really like at the core of it, what it means is that your followers don't truly matter that much. Well, your marketing skills actually do way more than the actual following does. So, in theory, I could have 5,000 followers and do just as good as somebody with a million followers. And funny enough, I actually saw somebody with a similar situation to that. I saw a girl with 6,000 followers on Tik Tok shop make over $100,000 in profit in just a single month.
But now, let's talk about realistic time frames of when you should start seeing certain amounts of money based on the things that I'm going to teach you here today. If you're a beginner, I would definitely think that more than likely you're going to sit around $100 to $1,000 a month in personal profit within your first like 3 months. If you're intermediate person, like you've been making sales, but you're not like the best at it, you could probably start to see around $1,000 to $10,000 a month in about 3 to 6 months. And if you're an advanced affiliate, meaning that you implement all these strategies like very very well and you took like the longest amount of time, you could probably see about $10,000 to $100,000 in personal profit in a single month after about 6 months. For me, for example, obviously I was an outlier. I made $59,000 in personal profit in my first full month. And my sister made, I think, $70,000 in personal profit in 3 months. But again, that's because we were outliers and that we implemented these things very very fast and really were like really on top of it.
Now that you know what Tik Tok Shop Affiliate is and what to expect, let's talk about section two, which is the requirements of getting started. So, you need to be 18 years or older and you need to be in an eligible country. But the biggest factor by far is that you need to have 5,000 followers. That's the requirements at the time of filming this to get into the program. Now, if you're in the United States, you can get in at just a,000 followers, but you need 5,000 followers, and I'll explain why here in a little bit.
First though, I want to talk about the two paths that you can take to get 5,000 followers and what those are. The first path is the path that I would recommend most people, but if you are trying to fasttrack your way and make it easier, that is path two, and I'll talk about that at the end. Path one is a self-built account, meaning that you are building this account. You are growing the following with, you know, whatever type of content that you truly believe in. For example, if I want to use myself, I actually built the account that I currently do Tik Tok shop affiliate on. I actually built that account doing country music videos that I clipped from YouTube from other country singers and would post on Tik Tok. I did this just out of fun and like just curiosity when I was like during COVID and everything and the military was like kind of halfway shut down. I was like, I want to build a following just for the fun of it. And so, I ended up posting these videos and they were taking off very quickly. I was getting tons of views and ended up growing that account to over 120,000 followers on Tik Tok within my first like 5 months or 4 months maybe. But I'll be honest with you, I completely forgot about that account until Tik Tok shop came around, which was in like 2023 at the end of the year. And that's when I started posting like tech products on this country music account that had nothing to do with country music, but they were still doing very well. Like one of my first tech product videos ended up making me almost $100,000 in personal profit, which just goes to show that the following that you have could be completely unrelated to the products you're promoting. And if you do it right, you can actually make really good sales. But this method of clipping the content and making an account without showing your face or being involved in the content is not something I personally recommend. It's obviously a method that works, but it's not my best or favorite method by far.
The method that I truly believe in is actually educational content. This is using your personal experiences, the things that you know or maybe the job that you're in to ultimately make content around. For example, I'm a construction worker and I want to teach people about how to do construction or what it's like on the life of a construction worker on a job site or something. Or another example is maybe you're a teacher and you're teaching people about what it's like to be a teacher in like, you know, fifth grade or something. An example that I could do personally is that I'm in the military. So maybe I could talk about what it's like to be in the military, what it's like to join the military, and educate people on the process of joining the military, or process of joining my job as an aviation rescue swimmer. The big key thing though with this type of content is that you need to study the people that are already doing the thing that you're doing. So I guarantee there are already people that are teaching people about the military on TikTok, right? I can guarantee you. I could probably go and search up these people really easily. But what I should do is find what they're doing and how I can make it unique or counterposition to what they're doing. Meaning that if they are talking to the camera like I'm talking to you right now and they're teaching people in this setting, maybe I should teach them on the job or I teach them by walking around outside or I just change the way that I do it that they are not doing. It's using unique capabilities that you might have and being able to position yourself as the authority figure that makes you unique in that specific position. Another good example of this would be maybe that you teach construction and everybody else teaches construction in their office, but you're like, "Well, I feel like I need to teach construction on the job site. I should be filming myself doing it on job because that would help these people learn a little bit better." Well, that would make you unique and make your content stand out. Some really quick and easy ways to think about what other methods you could counterposition to people in your like space would be behind the scenes like on the job stuff or teaching skills that you already have that are different than what are already being taught on TikTok. Maybe even sharing unique experiences that other people wouldn't. But my goal in this is to get you to think about what unique things that you have in your life that you could teach people about on Tik Tok. The moment that you find that thing, I highly recommend that you just start posting on it and making yourself an authority figure in your space. And remember, our sole goal is just to get followers on Tik Tok and then we will start doing Tik Tok shop. Remember, getting the followers is just a stepping stone to getting into the program. And the reason that I want you to get to 5,000 followers and not a,000 followers is because when you're at 1,000 followers, yes, you can get into the Tik Tok shop affiliate program, but you can only post five videos per week. You are severely tying your hands behind your back when you are only posting five videos per week on Tik Tok. So, yes, that's great if you got into the Tik Tok shop affiliate program at 1,000 followers, but I highly recommend get to 5,000 and you will be way better off.
Now, let's talk about path number two. And this one is probably one that you are thinking about right now. And this is actually where you are getting a pre-built account on Tik Tok. Meaning that somebody has already done all the work for you and they are handing over this account that is fully ready for Tik Tok shop just for you. These accounts should be fully organic and real followers with real content. And they should or more than likely will end up costing you money. These can cost anywhere from like $500 sometimes up to even like $1,200, which is kind of crazy. But it just depends on how many followers you're getting and how much work was put into building that account. I will admit though, there are definitely risks with these accounts if you're getting them from people you do not trust or you don't even know. For example, scammers or people who have bad quality accounts or maybe they steal the accounts, which is not good. But luckily, if you have somebody you trust and you know, like I do, you have a good ROI justifying like the reason for purchasing the account. At least that's in my eyes. So, the people that I trust and that I go with, I actually highly recommend. I really like it. That's actually a really big method that I use and I've actually used myself. Actually made my money back on an account that I spent like $750 on and I made that money back in a week with that account.
Now, let's say that you got to 5,000 followers and you're ready to apply for Tik Tok shop and you want to get into the program and start making money and start getting these products, right? Uh what you need to do and I have here on my screen is uh your Tik Tok account. What you first need to do to navigate to apply is you need to find that little hamburger icon in the top right of your screen. That is the little like, you know, three lines. Click on that and then it will say Tik Tok Studio. Click on the Tik Tok Studio. Once you're in here, there will be this bar towards the middle of my screen here that says all these different things and you can slide across it. You will have maybe a different option than I do. It might say monetization and it might say like apply for Tik Tok creator or Tik Tok shop creator. For me, it just says creator marketplace and that's the one I want to click. So creator market creator marketplace. I'll click on that. And then in here it has all the different requirements that I have. I have them all checked off. I can click on this box right here and click sign up. And then now I am a Tik Tok shop affiliate. One big thing that I highly highly recommend you listen to, please, please, please do not swipe all the way over on this bar and click the Tik Tok shop for seller. You are not a seller. A seller is somebody who is selling the product. You are promoting the product or affiliating the product.
Now, at this point, you should be in the Tik Tok shop affiliate program. And now we're moving on to section three, which is product research. Let me start by saying that product research is 80% of the success of your Tik Tok shop affiliate account. I cannot tell you the amount of times that I've seen people not have success on Tik Tok because they are not promoting products that are conducive for them and also products that are conducive for making content like a lot easier. Think about it like this. Would you rather make content with your hands tied behind your back or would you rather it not be like that? It's way easier if you can actually just get products that are way easier to make content with. For example, my wife was picking products on her own for a little bit and she was promoting these products and she was getting like 300 views every single time and I was like, "Your content is good for the products you're picking, but the problem is these products are not helping you." And the moment that we found the right products, which I'm about to show you how to do, she was making like a 500,000 view video, even a 2 million view video. And these videos were getting a ton of views and even converting like pretty decent, too. I even teach this like super in-depth in a mentorship program that I also have as well. So, if you struggle with product selection or you feel like that's something that you probably struggle with cuz you're stuck at like 300 reviews, I have a mentorship in the link below.
But, let's dive into this four-step framework on how to pick viral products on TikTok. So, it's an acronym and it goes SCTM. The S stands for solution. So, does this product solve a visual problem, for example, a vacuum cleaner. You could show it, you know, picking up stuff off the floor. And then C stands for credibility. So, am I a credible source for promoting this product? meaning like am I, you know, would would I make sense to promote beauty products if I don't wear beauty products, right? It wouldn't make sense for me. Or another form of credibility would be like if I'm using bone conduction headphones because I'm a ultramarathon runner, for example, which is actually something I've been doing recently in my content, I would be a credible source for that because I actually do run ultramarathons and I can show people that I'm using this product for running. That's credibility. Now, let's move on to timing. Is this product on a sale? Is it on a discount? Is there a a big thing that's happening soon with this product or this company? And is it a seasonal product? So, is this product like a a camping tent that's in supposed to be in the summertime, but people are promoting in the winter? Usually, people are camping in the summertime. So, maybe promoting a camping tent in the summer would make more sense. That is timing. Now, let's move on to metrics. So, what are the metrics on this product? Are the reviews good? Are the sales data good? Is the product a good price point for impulsive purchasing? Because that's the thing is Tik Tok shop is impulsive purchasing.
Now, let's walk through how I actually select products on Tik Tok shop and how I kind of think through things while I do it. So, first thing we're going to want to do is go to the shopping bag icon. Click the Tik Tok shop creator center. And then once we're in here, we will want to go down to the product marketplace icon. We will click on that. And now this there's so many different options you can kind of choose from. And you kind of want to stick to the products that you feel like you would be best at promoting. Um, and you know, thinking about all those different things that we just mentioned. When I'm starting Tik Tok shop, one of the methods that I'm doing to find products is click on this free sample button. Once I click that free sample, these are all products that are free sample eligible, meaning that I can request them for free. So, for example, this product right here is pretty interesting looking. It's like different or kind of unique. I could swipe up on this little bar and once it swipes up, I can click this little request or get free sample. And what's really really nice about this one is it says most approved, meaning that most of the time they will approve your free sample request. So when you're a beginner, I highly recommend that you look for products that say most approved.
But now let's talk about the method of SCTM and apply it here in this setting. For example, right away the first thing I'm seeing is this product right here on the left. It's Crinkle Express 50piece gift bags or whatever. I can click on that. And this has a lot of interesting things to it, right? It's a very visual product. I could show myself tightening these bags up and it would be very interesting. So, it solves a visual problem. I could solution. It has that solution to it. Credibility is I mean, there really isn't much credibility. I could just show myself putting stuff inside of these bags and then tightening it up and then talk about Christmas Day. Timing. Timing is perfect for this product right now because at the time of filming this video that you guys are seeing right now, it's actually coming up to fall season. So, this would be a great time to start promoting uh Christmas wrapping products. And then we'll talk about the metrics. So, the metrics on this product are really good. It's $23, so that's a very good impulsive purchase price point. There is free shipping on it. It's on a fall freshness like campaign or something. As you can see right there in the orange, it's got a 4.5 star review. It has over 3,000 sold, which means that there is demand for this product, but it's not like saturated. And then on top of all of that, if we swipe up on the bar right here, we can see that it says we get $3.60 for the sale. And if we click this little button that says view multiple earning sources. If we click on that, we'll see the standard commission is 15%, which I think is pretty decent. And then the shop ads commission is 10% commission, meaning that if they run ads on your video and they spend money on your video, you will get 10% no matter what. I personally don't take less than 10% commission for shop ads. And then standard commission, I usually don't take less than like 12% to up to hopefully like 50%, right? But this is a very standard and good number that I would personally promote. And on top of that, it says most approved. That means most people are approved for this product. So this personally, this product hits all of my wickets of something that I would want to promote right now, which personally I'm going to do right now actually.
Now, let's kind of continue on this list and we'll just skim through these products. And the idea here is that you're looking for products that can kind of catch your eye. You're looking for things that go, "Oh, that's really different. That's unique. That's something I've never really seen before." On top of that, another big thing you're looking for is the amount of sales as well. So, for example, these Bose headphones have a thousand sold, which shows that there's demand for this product, which is something I personally like. Here's an example of something I really, really like. See this natural tree thing right here. Let's go through the SCTM on this and look at it. It's $8 to $16. It's on a flash sale. It's got free shipping. It's on a full campaign. It's got 4.7 star review. 3,900 sold, a 15% commission. And this product is a very visual product because I could show it being taken off of like its little tree stand and then also be like pressing my like cup onto it and it's basically a cup holder or not a cup holder but a coaster. You know what I mean? It's a very unique visual problem-solving product that hits all of the metrics that I personally need to select a product.
Now let's look at this last product here and then we'll be done. Here we have a 1776 like American hat. That's $19.99, 43% off, flash sale, free shipping, 4 point star review with one review, four sold, and $3 per sale. Let me like kind of think about this. This is a product that you would promote. Personally, in my eyes, the answer is no. This is not a very visual, interesting product. It's kind of like boring. It's just a hat. Yes, some of the metrics here are good, like 43% off, flash sale, free shipping. That's pretty good. But there's only one review and only four sold. So there's no showing of demand for this product. So this is something I would personally not promote.
Great. Now that was product selection. Now let's talk about content creation and the frameworks that I use to actually make the content that will go viral. Now there are three major concepts or frameworks and styles of content that have been proven to work and are timeless with Tik Tok shop. Those are FaceTime call styles, voiceover styles, and even skits. And there are pros and cons to all of these different methods that you will hear about. I'm sure you've heard of, maybe even heard of other other ones as well. I don't recommend other ones outside of these personally because in my eyes, I'm looking for the long-term. I want to be a long-term successful Tik Tok shop affiliate and these are methods that are timeless. But I highly recommend that you kind of research these other methods and look into them and see which ones fit you best as a person yourself because all of us are different. We all make content differently. We all have our uniqueness to our content which is what makes you a creator.
But now let's go into the basic frameworks of what these Tik Tok shop videos should be basically framed as that you know generally work pretty well. So these are basically a three-step video structure. So first you have the hook which is the most important part of your video by far hands down every time. The hook makes up at least 80% of the importance of your video itself. Obviously the product is extremely important inside of that but the pro like the actual video itself 80% of it is the hook. A bad hook equals bad results and bad views and bad sales. Now, I will say that sometimes some videos will just naturally go viral because the product itself is a viral product, but that is extremely rare and I wouldn't bank on that every time.
Now, let's talk about what hooks are and like how to do them. Hooks are the beginning of your video and the whole idea of them is to hook the viewer. You are trying to get them to stop scrolling. It is so easy nowadays for us to be scrolling on our feeds and just at one swipe of a finger be gone from us forever. And as a creator, our job is to entertain them right away from the beginning of the video. And there are three different ways that you can do that. There is a visual hook, there is an auditory hook, and there is a text hook. The best hooks are when they use all three. But first, let's talk about what a visual hook is. A visual hook is the most important hook out of all three. And it is something that you are doing visually on camera to show people something that can get them to stop scrolling. For example, when I teach you guys Tik Tok Shop affiliate on my Tik Tok account, I actually have this mannequin behind me and that is a visual hook. It gets people to go, "What is that? what is like, you know, and it makes them stop scrolling. That's an example of a visual hook. But also, me doing something could be a visual hook as well. For example, if I'm promoting a vacuum cleaner, I could show myself vacuuming a floor, especially if the floor is extremely dirty or it's like a bunch of rice on the floor, which hint, my sister actually did that and made like 26 million view and like $100,000 in personal profit off a video just vacuuming rice. But that's a visual hook. It shows a problem being solved, which is, you know, a dirty floor or something on the floor. And then also it's just very visually interesting. So that's a visual hook.
Now an auditorial hook where or an auditory hook is basically where you're saying something to the camera or to like the audience or maybe even to another person if you're doing a skit where you're like doing something with somebody else, but it's what you're saying. You have to have a compelling thing, something really punchy right from the start of the video or maybe even controversial. Lastly, you have on-screen text. So this is something that you are typing on screen that is usually not taking up much of like the video. It's just very subtle that people have to feel like they need to read before they scroll away. And if you can create some type of curiosity for them to want to see what's going on later in the video, it could, you know, make them want to stay longer. For example, you could put, you know, I can't believe that happened. And if you put that, people go, oh my gosh, what is what's going to happen in this video? I have to see. Personally, my favorite hook by far I've always used and I actually invented this hook is, can anyone tell me why it took them until 2025 to come up with this? I originally invented this hook at the beginning of 2024, I think, and it creates curiosity. It makes people wonder what is going to happen later in the video. It also implies innovation, meaning that like, oh my gosh, there's something new that happened or or came out that I don't know about, especially if this product has already been around for years, maybe that it will create controversy in the comments, which leads to more engagement, which leads to more views, which leads to more sales. For example, I did this with a Kodak photo printer and I said that exact same phrase and people roasted me in the comments and actually ended up making me like $15,000 in profit. But all of those controversial comments saying like this has been around for years or I've had this in the '9s, like all of those comments ended up boosting my video. And the funny thing is the people who didn't care if it came out in 2025 or not, they were going to buy the product either way because they thought it was really cool.
Now, let me actually show you an example of me creating a good hook with you here. All right. Now, I'm going to make a Tik Tok shop hook with you. And I apologize if my setup looks completely different. I am just uh in a different location filming now. And the lighting is going to look different because in Tik Tok shop lighting you we want the lighting very bright. So sorry if that's like the setup looks completely different. It's cuz we're doing two different things. So first off I have my product right here and this is a very visual product. It it solves a problem which is a it's a photo printer. So it prints out photos from your phone at home. I have my setup here. It looks pretty nice. I I wish the backdrop had like more stuff to make it visually interesting or, you know, better, but the lighting is not too bad. And in this one, I'm going to do a FaceTime call style video where I'm kind of talking to the camera and talking to them like I'm on a FaceTime call with the viewer. So, I have my product set up. Obviously, in real world, I probably want it to uh be printing out a product or or printing out a photo for me at the time that I start filming, so I can really show that off right away. But for the sake of this video, I'm going to show you exactly what I would be doing if that was printing in, you know what I mean? Can anybody tell me why it took them until 2025 to come up with a photo printer that prints out photos from your phone at home? Okay, so now we just filmed the hook. I'm going to look at it, see if it's any good. It's okay from what I could tell already. But I'm adding a multitude of different things in here, and I want to show you what those are. So, first, let's watch it. Can anybody tell me why it took them until 2025 to come up with a photo printer that prints out photos from your phone at home? Can anybody So, what I did here in this video is I was talking about like I used that hook that works. Can anyone tell me why it took them until 2025 to come up with this? On top of that, I was making a visual hook by talking to the camera. I had my hand behind my head like I was like curious about something. I was moving as I was doing this. And then at the same time, I flipped my camera around to show the product doing the action that I was talking about. All of those things were visual and auditory hook. But now, if I wanted to make this even better, I could add a text hook, which I can do with you right now. So, all you'll do is just go into the uh the actual video. You'll click the like text feature right here. And then you'd add something that's curious or something that makes people want to read or maybe even purchase the product. For me, I'm going to add I'm just going to restate my hook. Basically, why did it take until 2025? I'm just going to do that. I'm going to edit it. I'm going to make it like bold so people can actually see it. I'm going to put it at the top of the screen because it just looks better up there. It kind of doesn't distract from anything. It's a good size. And then that's about it. Now, we have a pretty much finished hook, at least from the systems that I use and that work for me. So, let's watch it and see what it looks like. Can anybody tell me why it took them until 2025 to come up with a photo printer that prints out photos from your phone at home? Can anybody tell me why? Cool. Everything looks good. I like it. Let's move on.
Now that you know the hook, let's break down what you should be doing next, which is a product breakdown or personal experience. This is generally the body of the video. This is where you kind of give them all the details about the things they might want to know about the product before they purchase. And this is where you show literally only the best features of the product. Do not waste their time with stuff that doesn't matter. Your goal should be to show them feature one, two, and three and then why it helped you in your personal life. And the key principles here are to show the product in use within the first 10 seconds of the video. Like that should be the king. Like if you are not doing that within the first 10 seconds, you are failing at this video 99% of the time. The other key principle here is that you want to focus on the problems being solved and not the features themselves. For example, you don't want to talk about how long the battery lasted on a product. You would want to talk about how this product lasted so long that you went to a festival and it lasted the entire festival. you know, show them the actual real world things that it benefits for them and not the features themselves. Another big one is actually being authentic. A lot of people are not authentic in their content. Be authentic. Be real with people. Talk about the negative things about the product and then talk about the really positive things. You'd be surprised how much trustworthiness actually goes in sales. And it kind of surprises me when people lie about these products so much and then they don't make sales. It's like, well, you are very obviously lying. Last thing for this step and a big key principle here is that you need to be fast-paced. You need to change the angles and the close-ups and in different areas that you're filming this product as much as you can because people need to be re-engaged. If your video is going to be longer than 30 seconds, you have to be moving and changing cuts and scenes very fast-paced.
Now, let's go into the personal experiences and the features of this product. And so, now I want to tie the hook into the part that I'm I'm talking about now, which is like the features and my personal experience, right? So, I need to tie that hook in or else it's just not going to make sense. It's basically chaining the two together. I need to like kind of, you know, use chaining words like like and because, you know, things like that. Can anybody tell me why it took them until 2025 to come up with a photo printer that prints out photos from your phone at home? Can anybody tell me why it took them like we have Apache helicopters and people landing on the moon, but it takes them this long to so you're going to make mistakes, so you got to like retake. So that's very normal. Like we have Apache helicopters and people landing on the moon, but it takes them this long to come up with a photo printer. Like I printed out photos for my wedding, my honeymoon, even trips. And it makes it so nice for albums, and even Christmas cards. It's also really nice because under here, it comes with tons of different printer paper and even comes with over 80 sheets as well. It makes it super nice so that I can print out anything I need whenever I want.
So now we just went through the personal experiences and also the different features about the product that make it really nice. And now we should be good to go to start working on the next parts. Now, step number three is kind of a combination of two different things, which is urgency and a call to action. The call to action is not as important, but the urgency is extremely important. For example, mentioning about how a sale is happening currently or it's only, you know, having a sale for the next x amount of hours or x amount of days is something that really helps with sales. So, I highly recommend if you are saying something, say the urgency. The call to action is not as important, but it is a good way to kind of close out your video. So, let me show you a quick example of what that would look like right now.
Now, let's do the price anchor and the call to action if it fits well at the end of the video. At the time of filming this video, these things are like 30% off on Tik Tok shop right now. So, if you guys want one of these things, highly, highly recommend it and I'll link it down below. Great. Now, that went well. So, now we're just going to move on to the next step. If this is too complex, you can actually join my mentorship program where you can ask me questions 24/7. You get direct access to me and even multiple calls with me every single week. And funny enough, we even give you a 20,000 follower Tik Tok account so you can start making money right away. So, if that's something you're interested in, I'd highly recommend it.
But now, let's talk about what it actually takes to edit this content now that you have filmed it. The biggest thing is that you want to cut out the dead spaces. You want to talk almost on top of yourself. You want things to be fast-paced. You don't want them to be slow or methodical. You want to cut out anything that is kind of wasting the viewer's time. And any kind of repetitive things you want to speed up. For example, if I'm mopping my floor, I don't need to show that in normal speed. People understand that I'm mopping my floor. I could speed it up to like 4x speed or 3x speed. So, let me show you a quick thing of me doing that right here.
Now, the final step here is to edit the video. Make sure everything looks good so that we can actually start to post this thing. So, the first thing we're going to want to do is actually go to the editing section of it. And now, we're going to want to like look at this thing and see what things don't look right and what is like dead space that we can cut out. Usually, what I like to do is like watch the video and as I watch the video, I pause it and then go back and fix the issue and then kind of move along throughout the video. Can anybody tell me why it took them until 2025 to come up with a photo printer that prints out photos from your phone at home? A lot of the issues you're going to run into are going to be right in between videos. There'll probably lot be a lot of dead space that you can cut out. It even comes with over 80 sheets as well. At the time of filming this video, these things are like Here's another example of some dead space right here. I'm not saying anything at all, so I need to cut this out at the sheets as well. At the time of film as well, at the time of filming this video, these things are like 30% off on Tik Tok shop right now. So, if you guys want one of these things, highly, highly recommend it, and I'll link it down below. Great. Everything looks good to me. Now, I can go to the next button right here. And now we can start editing some of the backend stuff. Now, personally, I don't think descriptions, I don't think that the hashtags, and I also don't think that the cover of your video, which is this right here, matters too much at all. So, personally, I don't really edit them too much ever. But one thing you do need to do, you absolutely have to do is add a link. You have to add the product to get commission, right? So, you'll click on add link. You'll click product. And then you'll find that product you're trying to promote. For example, here is my Kodak photo printer that I am promoting right here. So, I'll click add. And then I like to change the name to something somewhat interesting. Kodak photo printer, for example, would be something I would add. Click the add button. And now my video is pretty much ready to post.
Now let's move on to section five. And this one is so so important because it actually is rewiring yourself to be able to think about the things that matter most to the viewer that you don't even see. And section five is psychological and authenticity factors. People can tell when you're being fake and they can tell when you're being scripted. So be real. Like seriously, be real with these people because they know. One of my favorite things, and you've probably heard this before, is talk to the camera like you're on a FaceTime call with your best friend. If you use profanity, then use it. If you don't use profanity, then don't. Like, you know, be you. Be real. It's also pretty easy for these people to tell when you've never used this product before. Like, if you have this product sitting in a box and you're just like, "Yeah, this thing's really cool. I use it all the time." And it's just sitting in the box brand new. Like, that's pretty obvious. Now, you can unbox products and talk about it and be real with people, but you need to go through that entire experience with them. One of my favorite things about a psychological method is actually telling them a negative thing about the product almost right away. Because if you tell them a negative thing about the product, it actually reinforces the positive thing that you're going to tell them right after. For example, I could say this phone, it dies so quick, but oh my gosh, does it make the best video recordings of all time? Do you see how that kind of changed the way you thought about the first thing I said? It almost made you trust me more. So, if you're almost
addressing these objections that these people would have about the product from the start, they will trust you to the point to where they were like, "Oh my gosh, I actually really believe in this guy or this girl, and I'm going to buy this product."
Now, here's about four other psychological tricks that you can add to your back pocket as well. One of them being social proof. So, you could say something like, "Everybody is trying this thing right now, so I thought I'd give it a shot as well." Another example would be, you know, as long as you're not lying, you could say, "This product was sold out a couple weeks ago, and now it's back in stock, so I thought I would try it out."
Another example, and this is something that Tik Tok has recently started allowing us to do, at least in their terms of service, which is comparing other products that have different price points. So, it's almost like price anchoring. You could say, you know, the price of this one is $150, but the one here I got on Tik Tok is this price of like $50. So, it's comparing an expensive one to an alternative, which is the Tik Tok shop one, for example. That method actually has made me a ton of money in the past couple weeks. It's actually pretty wild.
So, this is called a problem agitation. So you're really showing them the problem they face and it irritates them to the point where if you show them the solution, they almost feel like they have to buy the product. Now those are the psychological things that I like to implement.
But now I want to talk about section six, which is scaling and optimizing. I get this question a lot is how many videos do I post? How many Tik Tok shop videos will make me all this money, right? How little work do I need to do to make all this crazy money is what people are basically asking. And let me just tell you that technically speaking, the more videos you post, the more money you make. But the more videos you make generally means the less quality the videos are. So the goal here is to find the sweet spot of quality and quantity. And I like to say that this depends on the time of the process that you're in. So it depends if you are a beginner, if you're an intermediate or if you're an advanced person in Tik Tok shop.
Now of course this is going to be completely different for different people and it's always going to change person to person. But this system has stayed true across content creators in general all the time forever. You need to be making a mass amount of content to see what things work and that you can niche it down into the things that do. For example, you could make 90 videos, which I do recommend when you're first starting. Make 90 videos in a single month and then figure out what products were working, what hooks were working, what video styles were working, try everything under the sun. Once you figure out those things that worked, and maybe you got a couple videos that got a,000 views or 2,000 views or maybe more, those are more than likely standout videos from your average. And those are the things that you want to study and you want to implement and do quality over quantity.
So this is called the accordion effect. So you start wide, you try a ton of different things and then once you figure out those things you work that work, you will crunch it down into the things that do. This is actually a system that my sister did and she was doing hundreds of videos in a single month and she was making not as great of content and her sales were suffering but she was doing it on purpose because she learned the things that worked and then ultimately crunched it down into making less videos in future months but ended up tripling her income. She ended up doing back-to-back $100,000 profit months all because she actually crunched down the things that worked for her.
Now, I know people are going to want numbers anyway, so I'll give it to you on what I recommend, but I highly recommend be flexible and try a lot of different things. So, if you're a beginner, I highly recommend three to five videos daily on average. If you're an intermediate person, I actually recommend you do more. I do like five to maybe maybe 10 videos a day maximum. And if you're an advanced affiliate, I highly recommend that you niche it down and you either get to three videos a day or if you have a system that helps you make a ton of videos and it works, then I would do a lot more. It just depends on what systems you have in place and if you have good systems then you can obviously make you know more content that is still really good quality. And obviously this is only for advanced members. If you're anything below that just like focus on like learning and implementing the things that work.
Another big system or method that I've found to be really helpful is batch creating content. And this is basically where you find one specific day that you are going to batch a bunch of content and focus specifically on making as much content that is really good or like a lot of it in like a big time period. For example, you pick like Sunday and you're like, "Okay, Sunday is the day that I'm going to make like, you know, 50 Tik Tok shop videos." Obviously, that's a lot, too. But depends on how much you can get out. Just focus on what you can possibly get out for you. For me personally, I can get about 20 Tik Tok shop videos in about an hour if I really focus hard on it. But obviously I have a ton of time on this and I've been doing this for a long time so I could figure it out. I would expect if you're brand new at this to like you know 1 hour expect to make maybe three Tik Tok shop videos. That's really just scaling and optimizing in general. You could like hire people to like find better products for you or you know maybe get your spouse to get involved with like you know setting up products for you or who knows what. But I could dive into that in a whole separate video. Honestly that's just more for advanced members I would say.
Section number seven, and this one is one that I see so many people quit Tik Tok shop because they never really understand this, and it's avoiding violations and staying compliant. Tik Tok shop has rules just like every other platform. You have to follow their rules or else you're going to get dinged for violations and even get banned. And I will admit, Tik Tok is extremely wrong for a lot of these violations that they give out. They give out violations for people that should never be getting violations and for things they never did. But luckily my sister and I and a bunch of other big creators on this app are working very very hard to actually get in contact with Tik Tok to get them to change these things. So rest assured that we are doing our best as the bigger creators to work on this and actually focus on fixing it. But I want to talk about the things that will keep you away from violations at least as much as that we can possibly do.
Right now Tik Tok shop is a point system and when it comes to violations, so the more points you get, the closer you are to getting banned. The most common violation that I see is that people mention a brand when it comes to relating it to the product they're promoting. For example, if I'm promoting a retro game stick and it has like a bunch of retro games on the game stick that I am promoting and I talk about the games on it, I will actually get a violation. So, I can't talk about the Nintendo Switch games that are on this Game Stick that I'm selling. Speaking of, I actually just got a violation for that because I wanted to test it out one more time, but I shouldn't have done that.
Another very, very common one that I see all the time when it comes to the health and supplement section is people will talk about these products and how they lose weight. If you regard to weight loss whatsoever on Tik Tok shop, you will get a violation. So, do not say anything at all about weight loss whatsoever, I promise you, you will get a violation. Don't do it.
Another really common one that I've seen is actually exaggerated claims. So, saying that this product like solved all my problems, it cured cancer for me or uh you know, things like that. The health and supplement section is where you're going to get the most violations. So, if you want to get high commissions, you could go to the health and supplement section of Tik Tok shop. But also know that you're probably going to get a lot of violations and exaggerated claims is definitely one of those things that you could really easily get a violation for. All in all, I highly recommend that you actually read the Tik Tok shop terms and policies for a creator. And if you're interested in that, I'll leave it in the link down below right next to my mentorship link.
But now, let's move on to section 8, which is mindset. What people don't talk to you about or the gurus in this space, they don't really mention is that this is not as common of success as people make it out to be. Not everybody succeeds. Maybe 20 to 30% of the people will actually see like really good results, but almost every single time it's either one of two things. Either they weren't listening to the things that were being told to them or they just quit and they stopped doing it.
For example, I ended up mentoring a girl named Laura and it took her 9 months to have success. Like it took her a long time, but after 9 months, she was making $30,000 a month in commission. So, yes, it can take a long time, but it's people like her that stick it out and know that it might take a long time that actually end up having tons of success. And now that she's through that door, she can have consistent success very quickly and often.
I remember reading something about how they can predict people's success rate based on the zip codes that they come from. And I found that very interesting because all it's saying is that the people you surround yourself with are the people that you end up having success with. If you're around people that are successful, you will also be successful. If you're around people that are not successful, you won't be successful. It's all about the environment that you're in. That's exactly why I surround myself with people that are actually wanting to do Tik Tok shop, that are driven to do it, that are excited to make a ton of money and want to do this cuz it's fun, it's enjoyable, and those are the people that we look for in my small group mentorship as well. That's the kind of mindset that I want and I like and I strive to have. And I feel like if you don't have that mindset, it's so much harder to have success on TikTok.
So, let's recap the different things that we went over. And if you end up needing to come back to these things in the future, which I highly recommend you do because you'll almost more than likely have to do this, you have to come back and look at these things. Imagine this like a toolbox in your like a tool in your toolkit. You got to come back and use it whenever you need it. I even highly recommend you come back to this when you're like making your content, too, if you're trying to like learn about specific parts of filming, for example. But, let's recap the things that we went over here.
So, first we went over how to get 5,000 followers on Tik Tok, how to apply for Tik Tok Shop affiliate, researching products using the four-step framework, the SCTM method. We talked about how to make content that is authentic and problem solving in nature. We talked about how to post consistently and how to actually optimize your posting schedule, how to scale a Tik Tok shop, and we talked about violations and how to think about this thing long term and have long-term success. This was basically an entire mastermind on Tik Tok shop that if you implement, you should see success within about 6 months time.
However, if you are looking to fast-track your process, I highly recommend you join a mentorship program, which I do offer. We will give you a ready to go Tik Tok shop account so you can skip the whole gaining 5,000 followers part. We will give you personalized mentorship where you can DM me 24/7 whenever you want. I'll get back to you and help you out with whatever problems and even look over your accounts regularly. You also get weekly calls with us, one-on-one calls with me, and you even get account audits to look in-depth at your account to see what's going on and how to improve. We are pretty selective on how many people and who can join. So, we only allow about seven people into the program per week, I think. So, we are very selective and you do have to apply for it. But, if it even sounds like 1% interesting, I highly recommend just apply and uh and try it out. I would love nothing more than to train you to be my next $1 million Tik Tok shop affiliate. So, if you are interested in that, in me mentoring you, I will have that in the description down below.
