Alright man, peace. So brother, this is going to be the latest entry into the series, "Black Man, Do You Need Mental Help?" And this edition is gonna be featuring none other than basketball superstar LeBron James, who was able to take his career to a whole other level when his mental approach to the game of basketball was finally able to catch up to his physical abilities.

The reason why I was inspired to make this video is because LeBron James recently decided that he was going to accept a business partnership with something called the Comm App, which is supposed to assist you in being able to phase out all of the outside noise and get to an inner peace so that you can optimize your abilities to express yourself in whatever your endeavor is. And it's something that I always talk about with brothers: the only way that you can become the-best-version-of-yourself is to be able to isolate yourself in some way, shape, or form. Not even necessarily just physically, but your mental approach has to be so focused that you can phase out everyone around you. I don't care what field you're in, whether it's music, art, anything creative, especially sports. You have to be able to hone in on what your goals are, and that means that you're gonna have to ostracize yourself either physically or mentally. Even in the boxing world, when boxers are training for a major championship fight, many of them go off to a fight camp somewhere where they separate even from their families. I remember Michael Jordan, in the aftermath of Game Six of the 1998 Finals, when he was being interviewed on the days after they had defeated the Utah Jazz in Game Six to finally win the championship, he stated that he left his family in Chicago because he had to focus on the game.

It is so important. That's why I've always stated that athletes, they reach their physical peak in their mid to late 20s, but they reach their overall peak as athletes in their early 30s because that is when their mind catches up to their abilities. Because they're at the tail end of their physical peak, but they're at the very beginning of their mental peak. So that little stretch from about the age of 31 to 33, that's when you normally see the best of any top-level performer.

So anyway, they're gonna talk about it. I'm gonna chime in. LeBron James has experienced everything there is to experience as a player. He's played on 14 All-Star teams, won three titles, and seen all the highs and lows that come with the scrutiny of being a generational superstar. So now he has been looking newly refreshed, right? He's in year 17 in LA, and he's partnered with the meditation app called... there is a vent for it. Last night, Maloney Utley spoke to our David Letterman about mental fitness. You know, brothers, let me say this: when we reach those moments of adversity, it's very important that we sit back and meditate on what our options are so that we do not panic. Many times, people make a bad situation worse because they panic when they face adversity and crucial situations. And what that's going to do is, it's going to make those around you look at you with a level of doubt. It's gonna stop people from wanting to help you when they see that you panic. Whenever you reach any type of important impasse or crossroads in your life, people want to see that you know how to handle adversity, that you know how to handle tough times.

For years, you've worked on your body, but were there any times in your life or in your career where you started to put more emphasis on the mental fitness side of things? What they obviously like, part like the last eight years. And one instance that I could think about right off the top was after the loss to Dallas in the 2011 Finals. No, the worst performance by an NBA superstar in the history of professional basketball, at least American professional basketball. And that's good for LeBron to say that because we all have to highlight those pivotal moments in our lives where we did not do what we were supposed to do, what was expected of us, was not what we were able to accomplish. And that's probably something that we could turn into something good. And we've all been there. I don't care who you are. We've all been fired. We've all had disappointments in our lives. We've all had bad moments come upon us, and hopefully that makes us better. And kudos to LeBron, he's become a far better player after those Dallas Mavericks Finals. As a matter of fact, in the 2012 playoffs, the next season, he had one of the great moments that I've ever seen any professional athlete. When the Miami Heat were down three games to two to the Boston Celtics, and that dude went into a mental zone. I've never seen any other player go into. Now, of course, Michael Jordan, he kind of lived in his own zone, so it's difficult to say that Michael Jordan was never there. But LeBron James, that zone that he was in, Game Six in the TD Bank Garden Arena, whatever the hell you call that place, he looked like he was in a gym by himself. I knew that the physical side wasn't going to just be enough. And also the level of scrutiny I was dealing with, and how I got out of my comfort zone. I lost the love of fun for the game, and I knew that was the mental side to be able to be in a packed arena on the road with 20,000, 22,000 people screaming fans going crazy, to be able to find him only two minutes, one minute, whatever, 30 seconds to be able to just close my eyes and it just kind of relax myself from calling myself. It's kind of this like basic meditation, basically.

Let me say this: Tom Brady's practices was known as Transcendental Meditation, which basically is the ability to ascend into what they call the astral plane so that you can understand how to fully focus your mind and channel all of your energies towards whatever it is that you're trying to accomplish. I would not doubt at all that LeBron James has an understanding of what's known as Transcendental Meditation. The Beatles actually spoke about it. They took some trips to the Far East back in the late 60s where they spoke to some gurus and they came back to the states talking about how they were able to have a greater understanding about life due to some of the quote unquote, Oriental religions. Buddhism is a major spiritual movement in the entertainment industry. They had an interview with Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade in their home in Miami, and in the room that they were being interviewed by Rachel Nichols, there was a huge statue of the Buddha in the background. A lot of things going on with these people behind closed doors that brothers are not fully aware of. And that's why it's so easy for them to transition from the sports world to the movie world to the music world because they're all doing the same things. Tremendously, from being my career, I really like the Dave ask them about that because we've seen right? And LeBron's mental approach changed what you first don't come into the league. Well, people, I thought is, I mean, 90% of the game is mental. When you get to this level, everyone is physically gifted, obviously some more than others, but your approach is everything, and your, your mental toughness is everything. I got a chance to play with Kobe, against him for a lot of years, and with him, and just to see his mental approach was incredible. Fine. Well, we know that Kobe is definitely a high-level Luciferian. LeBron James is also a Luciferian. I don't believe that he's as high on the level as Kobe Bryant is because Kobe goes deep into it, and I'll be covering that in Volume Three of Kobe Bryant's Luciferianism. But just to get back to the point, when he talks about Kobe, Kobe was able to delve into dark energies and dark forces. He's what's known as a practitioner of black magic, meaning drawing on the energies from inside of you. They call white magic drawing on the energies of the outside. That's a quote unquote good magician or a good witch. You'll see that today, especially in the extolling of mankind's oneness with nature, or his oneness or her oneness with the universe, and the concepts of Mother Earth, etc. The woodlands and the forests, the trees, the rivers were all quote unquote one, according to many of these Luciferian doctrines revolving around the concept of white magic and the oneness of man and nature. And black magic, you're supposed to harness all your anger and your emotional sensations, harness that into something that is going to be positive for you and how you choose to express yourself, especially on a basketball court. In the case of Kobe, that's how he came up with the concept of the quote unquote Mamba Mentality. It's all about the divining serpent or the great teaching serpent, the Kundalini effect that wound up the spine to the third eye and gave him a great deal of enlightenment when it came to what he had to do to achieve his goals.

LeBron, like I said, understands that after the Dallas loss, but it's more important now than ever. And I think that is the reason why we see the team we see. You know, he took his hard knocks last year trying to kind of craft this team, and it didn't work. But a whole new team, a whole new coaching staff, and his mental approach this year, like this jackass on the damn hardwood floor with his socks on, all on the playing floor while the players are still playing. He should have been given a technical for that. He's done that twice so far. If I was the ref, I'd give him a technical. If you guys on this day, yeah, out of here. There's not the Rucker tournament, bro. Us, you know, his, his revenge factor and a rejuvenated desire has been the reason why the Lakers have been so successful. You know, he can pick and choose his spots. He's empowering the rest of his teammates. Everyone knows their roles. Either car, me, cohesive as well, because in the past, it's been word that he's hard to coach. He's empowering everyone, and you're seeing a beautiful product from it, right? But LeBron at 34 going on 35 is the equivalent of a 45-year-old woman. He knows that he's getting too old to play games. He has to make the best of a bad situation. So whatever coach he has, he's gonna make do at this point. It's like the chick at 45, 46 years old, if she gets a boyfriend, she's not gonna complain about the same that she would have complained about back when she was 24, because she just happened to be getting somebody who wants to give her some dick on a daily. 2010, we know about those issues. That's back when Delonte West had his mother's feet pinned behind the back of a damn head, allegedly. Says well, so people with his life came to him in 2011 and suggested he get a sports psychologist. You're seeing sports psychologists. I don't blame them. That is crazy, man. I imagine your mother having an affair with one of your teammates and you don't know anything about it, and everybody in the franchise knows what's going on. Wow. He's, what he did on his own, right? Just when he cut things out, zero dark 23, zero dark six, whatever he's wearing, that came about. Well, I actually think the video is made. I'm gonna get. He has made a huge difference in his mental approach this season. Or he got into a rhythm. Yeah, she's going balls to the wall in the regular season because he wants to prove that he's not a hashtag washed king. He wants to prove that he can still be the best and the most impactful player in the NBA. Now, how was he going to look in the playoffs? Well, he does not have another gear to get to. We'll find out. I don't think that is gonna make that big a difference in the first couple of rounds, presumably, because I don't think that they're gonna be facing that great a competition in the early rounds, but we'll see. You never know. You never know. Where he knew that he had to play until June, so he's sorted with ease in two seasons and he kind of the little bit last year did not work. I think that part there, sure, he knew what the Anthony Davis, but this team with the Western Conference, if he couldn't start October, November on a ramp-up, that he had to start this season is let's have March and April. LeBron in November and December, and boy, is it made a massive difference. We'll see if he can keep it up. That's actually the big question. But I think that's the huge question. And I predict that at some point in the season, most likely right after the All-Star break, he's gonna start to reel it back a little bit to prep for the playoffs. That will most likely be when the Lakers start to lose a lot of their games. Being in the season, I like what you said, but I think in the beginning, you saw the first two games, he was deferring to AD almost too much. So then we start talking about, has he lost a step? What's going on? And he had to show everyone, you know, to me, right? But Matt, but let's be for real, the only game where people were saying that maybe he's deferred to AD too much was the first game of the season against the Clippers. And was it really that he was deferring to AD too much, or was it that the Clippers defense had them flummoxed? Bran, his mental approach is amazing, and he always wants to feel out what he has. We know what we're gonna give LeBron, obviously, in year 17, it's not gonna be as consistent throughout the season because he has a lot of miles on his legs. But I think they figured out now that AD is showing the rest of the world, we look with the players of note, he's just been stuck in New Orleans and only saw that AD is a transcendent, transcendent talent. Some of the content we helped lead this team, and AD, like I said, if AD is in the MVP conversation throughout the season, that means LeBron is doing his job. We're gonna see the best LeBron come playoff time.

I will partially agree with that. I'm definitely looking forward to the Lakers' next matchup against the Clippers on the 25th, aka Christmas. I want to see some of the adjustments and the recalibrations that Frank Vogel is going to have his team perform just to give the Clippers possibly a different look. It would not surprise me if Doc Rivers does not develop an intricate game plan against the Lakers because they've already established in Game One, we can beat you with your two best guys, and we didn't even have Paul George. So once again, it would not shock me if they have a relatively vanilla defensive game plan on Christmas to see if they can beat the Lakers with the Lakers, without a doubt, trying to go 100, and the Clippers probably going at about 75 to 80%. Also, keep in mind, they're still missing their starting point guard, the Clippers. Landry Shamet. Nobody mentions that though. Playing on a team that more often than not didn't make the playoffs, and yet he got MVP votes. He finished top five one year, two times he got Defensive Player of the Year votes and finished as a finalist. So you stick him on a winning team with more elite players on the roster, you're getting a guy. Let's not act like the Pelicans did not have any elite players on that roster. They have very good players on that roster. Two years ago, they had a roster that looked very similar to the roster that Giannis Antetokounmpo had last year. He had Jrue Holiday on a roster, he had Rondo on that roster a couple of years ago. Now, that's him 150 games. So I give AD credit, but if he truly was an alpha, he could have stayed on that team and tried to lead that squad. Now, he's not an alpha player. That's okay. He is a transcendent talent. I would definitely give him that. And that's why he and LeBron fit so well together because he's not trying to compete with LeBron for who is the top player on the team. Anyway, that's basically it on that. We'll see how things go over the course of this season for Mr. LeBron James. And like I've stated, it's very important that brothers understand how to hone in on the target, on the goal. We write our goals down and we figure out what's the best methodology to get there. Life is a process, man. We've all been let down. We've all let down ourselves. Look at what just recently happened with Mr. Andy Ruiz. I promise you, he feels like because he knows he did not put his best foot forward to try to defeat Anthony Joshua. But that's what life is about, man. You know, you fall down, you get back up. Anyway, peace.
