Stop calling yourself an environmentalist or an activist when you still watch corn. You say you care about the health of the earth and the collective and society, and you're not willing to look at the ways in which you are contributing to those collective energies. Let me show you.
The world is a mirror. It is a mirror that reflects the results of our collective thoughts, intentions, and actions. Meaning every thought, intention, and action of yours releases energy that accumulates with the energies released by others, and it results in the collective realities that we look at, such as cultural norms, oppressive issues, war, etc.
Now, people love pointing fingers and saying, "Oh no, because that politician has to change, the system has to change, other people have to change," without realizing that the world and the system is simply a mirror of the collective. Nothing can exist in the world that doesn't exist in you, at a different scale.
So how does corn contribute to these oppressive issues? Well, corn is built on oppression, exploitation, misogyny, violence, and addictive cycles. All of that, at a scale, at a collective level, results in sex trafficking, sexual abuse, distorted intimacy, and unhealthy relationships.
Why would my own watching porn result in war? Well, because where you put your attention creates more of that reality. So when you are every day watching something that is oppressive, exploitative, violent, and misogynistic, you are creating more of that. Especially because you are literally using your creative energy in response to what you're watching. You're not only watching, you're literally orgasming to it. Your orgasms have creative power. You can literally create life through it. And you don't think that that release of energy through so much violence and oppression has an effect in the collective?
Maybe your own watching that doesn't directly result in war. But when you multiply that same release of energy by millions of people, based on nothing other than violence and oppression, you create war, you create sex trafficking, and you create all of that that you say you want to stop in the world.
So instead of trying to fix the world by pointing fingers and trying to change others, look at the ways in which these collective energies you want to avoid exist in you first, maybe at a different scale.
