Guys, welcome to Built Different. I'm going to share a story for you, okay?

I trained 30 days straight as a 60-year-old because I wanted to see what can happen to my body as I go through a transformation. I'm not going to sugarcoat anything to you guys. You guys have seen me when I was in my worst shape and how bad I was and how I was just lost. And I've shared this with you because you know now where I am now, how I did it and what I went through. And I want to go over some of the things that I revealed in myself that you guys will reveal in yourselves if you decide to take on this challenge.

Again, 30 days every day in the gym working out diligently. This was my approach. Mind muscle connection. Volume over heavy weight. I focused on the exercises. I focused on doing the exercises correctly. And I kept my ego in check. I recognized that I was a 60-year-old guy and I'm in the gym working out and I should be blessed that I'm even in the gym, right? And not beating up on myself. While I wasn't the version of myself when I was 25 or 30 and I knew that I also knew that I can be a better version of myself. And as I approached each day, I focused on going to the gym and just focusing on that particular exercise and what I wanted to do for that body part and get through that day. Not 2 hours stints in the gym, not 3-hour stints. I stayed there for about 45 minutes, did my exercises, and I left.

What happened as time progressed? As I was looking in the mirror, I noticed observable changes. I started to lean out a little bit more. I also noticed that I started to crave actually going to the gym and I started to crave more so the discipline associated with the habit itself. My recovery also got better. I craved and safeguarded my ability to get to bed early and get up early. And you guys know if you've seen my other videos that I am a firm believer in having a strong protein-based breakfast on a redundant basis. And the other thing I talk about is that if you have the same food and it's predictable, it eliminates your your um choices and it keeps things simple and your willpower sticks with the discipline and with the approach because you're eating the same thing. And just know that it's redundancy itself that helps. And between the recovery of sleeping, taking care of the supplements that I would be taking in, making sure I was hydrated, making sure that I stretched appropriately, making sure that I approached going to the gym every day as a gift to my body and myself. I noticed over the 30 days incredible progress and changes in me.

And what it also did for me and what I'm telling you guys, you need to experience something like this is that it allowed me to embrace the discipline and my mind shifted. And I talked to you guys about clarity. I talked to you guys about frequency where you get to a different level. You are operating at a different level. The ego is not in the room. You're just focusing on yourself. Become the best version of yourself. And by going to the gym on that consistent basis, I created this habit and functionality within myself and within my body that my body ended up rewarding me for doing it on an ongoing basis.

Now, what I'm telling you guys and what I'm sharing with you is something that you don't need to take to the extreme. As I went through this 30-day progress, there were some aches and pains that I went through as I moved forward and I had to adjust because, right, we're built different. Our bodies are going to react differently. But what happened with me, which was incredible, was that I was able to recover and I recovered quickly as I went through this process. And it's amazing what the body can do. You guys have seen it. I'm 61 years old right now, okay? I was a mess in my 40s. I made the change. I leaned into the discipline and the discipline and the focus on the platform we talk about with built different the mind muscle connection and the volume and not going heavy and no ego. Focusing on the range of motion, focusing on the ability to do the exercise that you can do based upon your body subjectively, physiologically, things like that that we talk about. Connect the dots, guys. They all make sense. add to the mix your approach with diet. You're focusing on making sure that your machine, your body is getting the best nutrients as possible because you're safeguarding that. And as you safeguard that, it'll reward you in the mirror and it also rewards you physically and you're going to feel better mentally.

Okay, I hope this helps guys. I'm really trying to give you guys a purview of what I went through from a transformation perspective. Like, DM, subscribe. If you try this, share it with me. Remember, we've got the school community. We've got so many things available for you guys. I'm here to help you guys. Please remember, we're built different, okay? Lean into fitness, lean into longevity, lean into discipline. We are built different, guys. Mentally, physically, we're all here. We're a brotherhood to help each other and motivate because we're in it for the long haul. I thank you and I'll see you.
