After the choir has come and did their sermonic solo. Amen. We want everybody to stand. Amen. And receive our bishop. Amen. And I tell somebody, I believe he got a word this morning. Come on, say it again. I believe he got a word this morning. How many you need a mighty word from the Lord? Amen. I need a word from the Lord. And so I know that our shepherd, our leader, Amen, has an amazing word after this choir, this amazing recording choir. Amen. Come on here. Has come. Amen. And rendered their final sermonic selection. Amen. Stand on your feet all over this place and receive the bishop Brent Lamar Tigs. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Yeah. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music]

While you're standing, while you're standing, st would you just turn your Bibles very quickly to the Gospel according to St. Luke? The Gospel according to St. [Music] Luke. The Gospel according to St. Luke, chapter number 14. If you will show your show your attention to verse 25-33. The Gospel according to St. Luke chapter 14 verse 25-33. I am going to read from the New Living Translation this morning. I know many of you have the King James version, some have the NIV, but if you'll just follow along, believe the Lord will speak to us this [Music] morning. The Gospel according to St. Luke 14:2 through 33. A large crowd was following Jesus. He turned around and said unto them, "If you want to be my disciple, you must by comparison hate everyone else, your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters. Yes, even your own life. Otherwise, you cannot be my disciple. And if you do not carry your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. But don't begin until you count the cost. For who would begin construction on a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? Otherwise, you might complete only the foundation before running out of money and then everyone would laugh at you. They would say, "There's the person who started that building and couldn't afford to finish it." Or what king would go to war against another king without first sitting down with his counselor counselors to discuss whether his army of 10,000 could defeat 20,000 soldiers marching against him. And if he can't, he will send a delegation to discuss terms of peace while the enemy is still far away. So you cannot become any disciple without giving up everything you own.

I want to preach this morning from the subject the cost of yes [Music] the cost of yes. Father bless us now. Illuminate the text. Speak to our hearts this morning. Cause us to understand the serious implications of of committing our lives to you. Cause us to understand the serious implications of saying yes to your will and your way, your purpose and your plan for our lives. We pray in the name of Jesus that your anointing that makes preaching and teaching easy will be upon us today. Hide us behind the cross. Let nothing be said of our flesh or our own will pro but father let your word that you have declared unto us in the scriptures be our focus on this morning. Let the words of my mouth, the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh Lord, my strength and my redeemer. And the people of the Lord would say, "Amen." You may be seated in the presence of the Lord. The cost, the cost of Yes. When we say yes to God, it's not merely a verbal affirmation, but it's a commitment that carries weight, sacrifice, and sometimes great personal cost. Amen. This scripture that we have read unto you on today, Jesus is talking to the people about the true cost of being a disciple. Amen. The true cost of being a disciple. Every yes carries a cost, often more expensive than a note. When we commit to tasks, duties, activities or relationships, we are simultaneously saying no to other opportunities due to our limited time and our energy. Everything that we say yes to carries an opportunity cost. You could be doing something else instead. Amen. Saying yes creates silent tradeoffs that many fail to recognize. Saying yes to too many things leads to a lack of focus and makes execution difficult. Saying yes to every offer can become a way of proving one's worthiness, especially in leadership roles. This can lead to burnout, overextension, health issues, mental fog, and insufficient time for rest or family. Spreading yourself too thin across multiple commitments reduces our ability to excel at truly important matters. I've often said to uh great faith as a church, I rather for you to be good at one thing than to be mediocre at many things. And there are so many of us that allow the weight of this world uh to to to allow us to uh carry more than we really need to carry. And I know y'all ain't going to tell the truth about it this morning, but you can overextend yourself. Oh yes. You and there's there's a thing called burnout. Burnout. Burnout. Burnout. Some folk are burned out in church. They've they've been in church all their life. They've they've came to every service. They've they've they've given in every offering. They they they they try to be a part of everything. Amen. But but I I I choose to believe that you're better off being focused on one thing than you are being in many things.

Have you ever Have you ever seen a person that they want to be on every committee? They want to be on every auxiliary. Oh, y'all ain't going to talk to me today. I got a bougie church this morning. I see. I got a bougie church. Amen. But that but there comes a time when you you we really have to re-calibrate ourselves. We really got to uh do a reset. We need we really need to focus on is all this stuff that I'm doing is it what God called me to do? Huh? Is is it really what God called me to do? H uh am I just doing this out of impulse? Am I just doing this to be seen? Am I just doing this for my name to be called? Am I just doing this for vain glory? Or or or is God getting glory out of what I'm doing? I I I just wish I had somebody in the room cuz the real tr the real true believer, you're really called to prayer, which is the thing that we don't really want to do. I didn't mean to go there. I didn't mean to go there. But but we are really called to prayer. We really, as a matter of fact, without prayer, everything else that you're doing is pointless and in this vain. But but but but I I was told I was told by the old school church that that there was power in prayer that that that before you do anything, before you make any decision, before you go anywhere, before you buy anything, you you you garbage for God and you ask for God. The Bible says, "Trust in the Lord with all of your heart. Lean not to your own understanding. In all of your ways, acknowledge him and he'll not break your path." Can it be that some of the jams that we in right now is because we did not acknowledge the Lord? Uh some of the relationship troubles that we have had down through the years, could it be that we did not follow the leading of the Lord? Could it be that we did not ask God about him? Could it be that we didn't ask God about her? Uh could it be that we didn't ask God about particular jobs uh purchases and and the house that you bought in a certain neighborhood? I just I just firmly believe that anything concerning your life need to be birthed in prayer. Prayer. And and prayer involves waiting. Yes. God said prayer involves waiting. Prayer is just like sewing a seed. When you plant your seed, you don't see the results of the seed instantly. That seed has to go in the ground. It has to germinate. It has to be watered. It has to have sunlight. It has to blood. My God. It's got to come out of the ground. Then it has to receive the nourishments of the environment in order for it to produce the harvest of blessing. And some of us are just like those of us who give in the offering. We give a $100 on Sunday and we expect a million by Friday. But that's not how the principle works. And neither does prayer. prayer. You pray on Sunday and sometime you don't see it until next year. I wish I had somebody. I wish I had somebody that understood what I'm talking about. That sometime we pray about things and God don't answer us immediately. And don't let these church folk fool you to believe that every time you pray, God's going to answer you instantly. It ain't going to happen, baby. I'm telling you by experience. There are some prayers we pray that that that that that we haven't seen the result of it yet. As a matter of fact, my matter of fact, my mama prayed for me and and she didn't get to see the results. Good to God Almighty. And the prayer she prayed was over 30 years ago, but she's in the ground right about now. But the prayer she prayed 30 years ago has manifested in 2025. I just want to tell somebody to keep on praying. Keep on praying. The Lord is now. Keep on praying. He'll heal your cry for the Lord has promised. His word is true. Keep on praying. He will answer. He will answer you. He'll answer you.

In the text, Jesus in the text, Jesus words are sharp and and they're uncompromising. He Jesus does not sugarcoat to his disciples what following him entails. He He doesn't sugarcoat it. He He's very plain. He say He says, "You're not going to be my discipleh unless you can hate your mama and your daddy. You you you got to hate your wife and your children." Now, now now y'all don't get it don't get it twisted. He ain't really he ain't saying hate your family. That that's not what he's saying. That's don't take it out of context. He what what he's really saying is that I want to have the preeminence in your life. I I I want you I want you I want you to love me above everybody. I want you I want you to love me above your family. I want you to Yeah. I don't want you to hate your family. I just want you to love me before them. I I want you to put me first. I ain't got nobody to help. I said, I want you to put me first. I I I I want you to be committed to me. I I I I want you to I want you to have allegiance to me. In our modern context, saying yes to Jesus means surrendering our plans, our desires, and sometime even our relationships if they conflict with his lordship. Oh, we must abandon them. Disciplehip means total devotion. That ain't what we talk about today. In this new age church, this new age church. Amen. They want everything for nothing. [Applause] Yeah, you do. Yes, you do. In this in this in this new age church, we want God to be like Santa Claus. Oh, yes, we do. We we want God to we want God to be the the sugar man, the the candy man. We we want God to come to us only when we need him. But but but but but we don't really want to be committed to God. And so Jesus is teaching a radical. He's teaching a radical teaching here by prioritizing Christ above everything else, even family ties that are dear to us. I want you to know there's a cost. There's a cost to following Jesus. Don't you don't you be fooled. Don't you be fooled. It's more It's more than dressing up this morning than a nice outfit. It's more It's more than than your the than your Gucci and your Louis Vuitton. It's it's more than your St. John's. It's more It's more There's a cost to this. There's a there's a cost to serving the Lord. That's I used to hear the old folk serving the Lord will pay off after a while. You got to keep on serving him. You got to but but you got to understand what the cost really is. Truth of the matter is Many of us get into relationships. We get into marriages and when the tough get going. Y'all know y'all. How many of y'all have How many of y'all have made the the statement, "I didn't sign up for this." I know. I know you in this house. I know you was in this house. You got in that marriage and you thought you thought cuz he was fine and she was and she was fine. Y'all thought y'all going to have or make love all the time. Yeah. Yeah. Uh-huh. Y'all thought y'all it was just going to be enjoyable all the time. Y'all thought the sex was going to be good all the time. Y'all y'all didn't take into account that you going to have some bad days. You you going to have some days when you look at her and you wonder what did I do? You going and he and she going to look at him and and wonder did I did I choose the right mate? I know I ain't got nobody going to tell the truth this morning, but but the truth of the matter is we didn't adequately count up the cost. We we got prepared for the wedding, but we did not get prepared for the marriage. I lost half my church. [Music] All you will focus on on that beautiful gown, that 7 8 9 karat ring on your finger. That's what you will focus on. You will focus on the honeymoon to the [Applause] Bahamas. Right. But didn't even recognize. See, this is the this is how we get jacked up. I used to see these uh advertisement to go to Bahama. Let's go to the Bahamas and and they would show all they would show the Atlantis. They would show the Atlantis. That's all they will show you. So when I So I And it was a false read. It was really false advertisement cuz when I got to the Bahamas to get to Atlantis, I had to go through the slums. [Applause] I didn't know the Bahamas had a ghetto spot cuz they didn't advertise the [Applause] ghetto. When you're caught, they don't advertise. Oh, God. They They don't They don't show you everything. When When you're cing. When brothers, when you're cing, you need to say something to make him mad. Ladies, when you're cing, you need to say something to make him angry. Cuz you need to see the real God have mercy. You need to see the real negro. See the real negro. Yeah. Cuz it's only when you get in the marriage and you see the real negro that you realize, wait a minute, I I didn't sign I didn't I didn't sign up for this. [Applause] That's the truth of the matter is there's a brothers there's a cost for 362436 [Applause] ladies There's a cost to biceps, triceps, deltos, glutes. There's a cost. There's a cost. There's a cost. Oh, yes. Yes. After a while, over time, 36 24 36 turns to 5050. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] And do you do you do you do you still do you still say yes to 5050 like you said yes to 36 24 36 Six. [Applause] [Music] That's why when we're preaching the gospel, we we need to preach a a balanced gospel. Don't don't don't deceive these people that's coming in here off the streets to think that they going to come over here and it's going to be smooth all the time just serving the Lord. Oh, just serving the Lord. Yeah, the gospel is good news. I hear you out there. It is good news. Yeah. The good news is no matter what you go through, God will be with you. That's good news. That's good news. But the the but but the point I'm trying to make here is that you really don't know when you sign up to this marriage to the Lord. You don't know what you're going to go through. You don't know. You don't know. You don't You don't know that your heart going to be ripped out of your chest. You don't know that the very people that you love are going to turn against you and say all manner of evil against you and try to destroy your name and your character and your reputation. [Applause] Sister Toana, you don't know that the very people you pastor gonna hate your guts. that the very people you pastor going to be behind your back tearing you down, talking against you, praying against you, lying on you. I know y'all don't want to talk. Y'all don't want to talk real talk this morning. [Applause] But through all of that, I told God yes. And my problem was I told him yes, not even knowing what I was going to have to go through. I told him yes. I I told him yes and I still tell him yes. Yeah. Yeah. I told him yes. Yes. When we sing that song, Bishop Bishop, our founder, the Bishop Mason, oh my God, God blessed him to write this song. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Not even knowing what it going to have to go through. Yes, Lord. [Music] My heart being broken. Yes, Lord. been disappointing me. Yes, Lord. [Applause] [Music] Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord. Lord. Yeah. So, so, so, so your Yes. Your yes, Sister Michelle, it is your yes. It is your yes that that that caused you to go through all the hell you've been through. [Applause] Oh, I wish I I wish I could talk to you like I want to talk to you. It's your Yes. [Music] It was it was Christ's yes that caused him to beat all be beaten all night long. It was his yes to the father that he had to take his cross. Up to God's heal. Oh yeah. It was his Yes. Oh, they beat him. They pierced him in the side. put a crown of thorns on his head. Woo! God have mercy. But it was his yes to God. As a matter of fact, there was a point in in the Bible says that when he was in the garden of of Gethsemane and he was asking his disciples to pray with him for one hour, three times he went to them twice and they were asleep. Third time he came back and said, "Sleep on, sleep on, sleep on." But he got to a point in his life where the Bible says he wished that the cup would pass. He wanted it. It was so painful. I want y'all to know I want y'all to know follow following Jesus is is more than cookies and cream, baby. Oh, following Jesus is more than Bentley's and Mercedes. It's it's more Have mercy here to God. Following Jesus is more than designer brands. It's more uh it's it's more than that. My brothers, my sisters, following Jesus, sometimes your heart, my God, your heart will be ripped

Into pieces. Amen. But God wants to know, do you still say yes?

Relationships aren't strained. Facing opposition from from places that you would never expect. People you trusted with your information. They they went out and told your business. I know y'all ain't going to talk about disloyalty. Y'all don't want to talk about Y'all don't want to talk about betrayal, but betrayal is big in the house of God. I said it's big in the house of God. People will smile in your face, get all your mail, read all your mail, and go share it with somebody else. All in the name of the Lord. [Applause] I don't care nothing about y'all with all these tongues y'all speak in. [Applause] Speaking in all these tongues and can't speak in English. If it cost your life, [Applause] there's a cost to this. Jesus said Jesus said this. Jesus said, "I was wounded in the house of my friends." I could have took it. If it was a street person, I could have took it if it was somebody that really didn't like me. And I'm I'm here to say if you don't like me, let me know you don't like me. [Music] [Applause] But but don't eat my food. Don't eat my food. Don't eat my food and and borrow my money and then going to go back and talk about me like a dog. God, I just need to know if you're my enemy. Let me know you're my enemy so I can deal with you accordingly. [Applause] But Jesus said, "It was my friend." It was my friend. It was the person I sat down and talked to, had sweet counsel with. I ain't even supposed to be going here, but I'm I'm out here now, y'all. [Music] It was my friends. And y'all better be careful who you give a friend spot in your life. I'm I'm gonna say it again. You better be careful who you give a friend spot in your life. [Applause] In this season, my brothers and sisters, it's important that we have the gift of discernment. Cuz everything that sound like God ain't God. [Applause] [Music] I don't care how long your dress is. That don't make you holy cuz you got a long dress on. I ain't I ain't got no help. That's that's superficial holiness. And that's how we so diseased back in the day cuz Oh, they got a long dress. Them same long dresses come up just like a short one. It just take a little bit more time. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] The Bible says it was it was the it was it was my it was my it was my kinsman. [Music] It it it was the one that I went to holy communion with. It was the one that it was the one that sang on the praise team with me. It was the one that that that served on the usher board with me. It's the one that called me every day. Every day. It's that one that betrayed me. Cuz if it had have been anybody else, I could have took it, Sh. I could have took it, Matt. God, but it was the one that smiled at me. It was the one that was complicating me. The It was the one, oh my God. That was pumping me up. It's that one that that I found out you been a snake all the time. You know, you know I I I got a transparent moment. I got a transparent moment, you.

We have We have real good decent music here. Singers that can sing. Praise team that can sing. Decent musicians. A decent preach word. Some better than most churches. I had a moment with the Lord and I said, "God, why is this church not growing? Cuz I don't want to be a part of something that's not growing. Huh?" He gave me a long discourse about growth, but I'm just going to share bits and pieces. I said, "Why this church is not growing?" He said, "You got snakes in your church." [Applause] It's not the people outside killing us. It's a inside job. It's a inside job. It's an inside job. He said, "And some of them that you talk to, [Applause] some of them that you think in your corner, you didn't ask me, you joined hip with them. [Applause] and they get information from you. And take it and use it against you and your church." No, y'all ain't going to say nothing. The light don't come. Bishop Moss used to say, "The light don't come. Can't hide." [Applause] [Music] He said, "You going to have to recalibrate." He said, "You going to have to shut down from all of them." Say, "Stop telling them so much. [Music] See, see how loyal they'll be dead. See how much they love you when you stop talking to them." Ooh. Pastor Pastor being funny. He stuck up today. Oh. Oh. Oh. He act like he didn't see me today. Oh, he used to take my calls. [Applause] Jesus said it this way. He said, listen. He said, listen. He said, "If your right arm offend you, cut it off, cut it off." Y'all ain't going to talk to me. He He said, "If your left eye is offensive to you, pluck it out. For it's better for you to get to heaven with one arm and one eye than for your whole body to end up in hell." Y'all don't want to help me this morning. [Applause] You got to You got to cut this stuff. You got to You got to cut this stuff at the root. At the root. At the root. At the root. At the root. At the root.

You know what? I had to go I went to the doctor, the um endodontist a couple of weeks ago. I had to have a tooth that was infected. Number 18, all the way in the back. Had to be extracted. This is the tooth that I had a root canal many years ago. But I what I didn't realize Oh, this going to bless somebody. What I didn't realize is that the the the the tooth that I had the root canal in many years ago had an invisible crack. And over time, the invisible crack cause infection to get beneath the teeth. [Applause] And so I went to the endodontist and said, he said, "This teeth got to come out." I said, "Can't you save it?" He said, "No, you can't save this one." He said, "You've already had a root canal in it on it and it's cracked now." He said, "There's no way we we can repair this one." He said, "But if you don't handle this, it's going to infect everything else." Oh Lord, I I wish I had a praying church. I just wish I had a praying church. He He said, "You got to get this tooth out." And y'all, I was reluctant, Mother Johnson. I was reluctant cuz I don't like toothp. The day came when I I put it off as long as I could, but the infection started letting me know I'm here. It's It's really starting to affect me now. where where at other times I knew it was there but it wasn't affecting me. But after a while the infection started to affect me. And so the infection made me go make the appointment. I get to the dentist chair and they I ask him, "Can you give me gas? Give me gas. I don't want to feel it cuz I know what it feels like. I had four wisdom teeth taken out at the same time. They had to give me gas for it. But he said, "No, I can't give you gas." He said, "But I can numb the pain. I'm going to numb the pain while I extract the tooth." God, God will numb the pain. [Music] I say, "God will numb the pain." Uh-huh. It It ain't going away. You just ain't going to feel it. Yes, sir. [Applause] [Music] I said, "It ain't going away. You just ain't going to feel it." So, they injected me. They injected me, y'all. And it And you know that back tooth has three prongs in it. Well, mine had three roots. And he had to cut the tooth in three parts. And he had to try to take each part out piece by piece. The first one was very easy. The second one was difficult. Difficult. Difficult. He said, "The only way that I can get this too far, I'm going to have to apply pressure." [Applause] Y'all missed it. I I wish y'all I I wish y'all was in the spirit realm sometime. The only way God can get you delivered, he got to apply pressure. Yes, sir. Sometime God have to make you uncomfortable. Sometime sometime your brook got to dry up because you ain't going to leave on your own. God have to allow things to come to an end. Oh God. Amen. Second one, he had to apply pressure. So he took whatever tool. I couldn't see it, but he applied pressure. I can feel the pressure, but I didn't feel the pain. I felt, brother D. I felt the pressure, but I didn't. He kept asking me, "Are you in pain?" No, I'm not in pain. I just feel the pressure. Yeah. So he eventually gets the second root out, but that third root, that third root was from hell. It was from hell. And I I started rebuking that third root. I said, "You got to come out of here." And so let me tell you what he did y'all. This man, he he was he was he was applying pressure on the third one and he got tired. He the the the doctor, your your friend, Sister Shane referred him to me. Y'all, we going to deal with Sister Shane. She's Sister Shane. He's putting pressure on me. It was weighing him out. He said, "Man, what kind of bone do you have in your jaw?" He He said, "I never had to took this long to get a tooth out." Yeah. He said, "As a matter of fact, if if my practice was this difficult, I wouldn't be a dentist." Wow. So, what what should have taken no more than 20 minutes, y'all, end ups taking two hours. It was so bad, Sister Dabber, he took a break. Oh my goodness. He said I got to go take a break. This is after he have injected me again. What's this? What's this numbing stuff? Nova came. He don't gave me that three times and the tooth still not out. So he comes back from his break. He said, "I'm going to try this one more time." I done prayed then. While while he was away, I went into real I went into a full intercession. a full intercession like, "Lord, you got to let this tooth get loose so this man can get out of my mouth." Yes, sir. And he comes back in there. He said, "I'm going to try this one more time." He said, "This this root is stubborn." He came in there and he worked and he worked. I guess in about 3 minutes, he said, "Oh, there it is. Whoop! Whoop! [Applause] And he pulled the tooth out. Yeah. And he let me see the tooth. It had a a long root. I'm going somewhere, y'all. It It had a long route. Yes, sir. The problem, Jeff, was not the stuff on the surface. [Applause] It's the stuff underneath. [Applause] Huh? Huh? And while we And while we And while we And while we waste time talking about surface stuff, God says, "I want to get to the root. I got to get to the root of the problem. And in order for God to get to the root, people of God, it requires pressure and it requires pain." [Applause] So the next time we go into the presence of God, And the requirement is yes. We need to understand that the yes he's talking about is not just so much to the surface. He say are you giving me a yes for the root? Cuz see, I can handle this stuff on the surface and it'll come back again. [Music] I can I can I can deal with the stuff on the surface, but you'll see it next month on the next season. But if you let me get to the root of it, root of it. As a matter of fact, you can't even be my disciple. You can't be my disciple until you are able to give me what cost you. We're quick to give God convenience. We'll give God what's easy. We'll give God what don't cost us something. But God says, "Will you give me that part of you that's hidden?" God, help me to God. Help me today. Help me today. Help me today, Lord. Jesus said this. He said, he said, I I got to get out of here. He said, I want you to first count up the cost. Count up the cost. Count up the cost. You saying you want to be my disciple. Count up the cost. Count up the cost. There going to be some days there going to be some days that you ain't going to feel saved. [Applause] There going to be some days you don't want to be saved. I I I thought I would have a right kind of church. I said there going to be some days you don't want to be saved. There going to be some days you want to cut some folk out. There going to be some days you going to want to lay you want you want to throw some hands. Y'all ain't talking to me in here. You got to count the cost. You got to count the cost. See, see, see, following Jesus is not a just a superficial relationship. It's a relationship that that that's going to cost you in the long run. Oh, I ain't got no help in this room. He said, he said, he said, consider this. Consider this. Who who would start building a house? Who would start building a house without first understanding whether or not calculating whether or not they have enough money to complete the job? Who would do that? Who would do that? Who would do that? Who would who would begin starting a a a building of a house the house across the street and and and just as soon as the foundation is laid, you're out of money. Who who would do that? Jesus says, "No, you got to first count up the cost to see whether or not you have the sufficiency to complete the assignment." Oh, I got to back up. Maybe I shouldn't have said assignment cuz we're quick to say I'm over here now cuz my assignment over there is over. Oh yeah. Lord have mercy. I I said we we're quick to jump here to there because our assignments Okay. And sometime God will allow you to outgrow a ministry. Oh, y'all know what I'm talking here. I said sometime God will allow you to outgrow a ministry. Yes. And then if God if that be the case, then you have to go where the Lord leads. Just don't go somewhere that you want to go. Make sure that you're being led of God. Cuz some things that you run from, you're going to encounter somewhere else. [Applause] [Music] That's the problem with divorce. [Applause] That's the problem with divorce. [Applause] I have to counsel so many people who divorce one mate and then they are attracted to the same person they divorced and they end up with a with the same person. Well, the same spirit in a different person, but it's still the same spirit. You're attracted to it. That's why you got to kill it at the root. You got to kill it at the root. And sometime it ain't the other person, it's you. Help me. Well, I'm preaching better than y'all saying amen. [Applause] Yeah. I told I told an individual once before years ago. I told the individual I said you can you can run anywhere you want to run. Y'all y'all write this. Y'all put this in your spirit. You can run anywhere you want to run, but you can't run away from you. [Applause] You can't run away from you. Oh no, no, no, no, no. You can't run away from you cuz it just just cuz you go to the church across the street, you you taking your raggedy across the street and you going to have to deal with your raggedy ass when you get across the street. I I didn't cuss, y'all. I didn't cuss. I I didn't cuss. I I I I refrain myself. I I kept myself from sin. [Music] [Applause] Don't you sit up here and encourage me. I bind that spirit in the name of Jesus. He trying to encourage me to cuss up here. The devil is a line. Come on now. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Yeah. He said he said this way. He said he said, "Who who who who does that? Who who does that? Who who goes to war? Who goes to war not expecting to win? Huh? Who who who don't who who is it that don't count the cost before you get in?" Bishop Jake used to say years ago, he said, "Pick your battles." You You got to Let me tell you something. You can't out argue no woman. [Music] [Applause] [Music] I've lost half my church. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Most of y'all are females in here. I'm sorry. You cannot you cannot out argue a woman. Amen. Well, all the brothers looking at me like they crazy. Thank y'all. Let me shake y'all hand. Thank y'all for confirming. Thank you for confirming with me, brother. The rest of them don't want to tell the truth cuz they they wives are in him. But the truth of the matter, you cannot out argue a woman. [Applause] I tried it. I tried it. I said I tried it. I tried it. I thought if I went downstairs in the basement, the argument was over. She came all the way in the basement and another thing. Amen. Y'all don't want to save me. Keep wasting your time. Just trying to help somebody. You can't. You got to count the cost. And so, so the question became, brothers, brothers, if y'all are listening to me, the question becomes, do you want to win the argument or do you want peace? [Music] [Applause] And and when you want peace, sometime peace comes at a cost. And the cost is Being quiet [Applause] sometime it mean being the bigger person. [Applause] [Applause] You got to cost the cost. The cost the cost of Yes. Being in relationship with God, being in relationship with God is just like being in a rel in a relationship with a man or a woman. That's right. There are some things you going to have to take. It'll make you a stronger person. Lord have mercy. I wish I had I wish I had somebody would say amen to me. [Applause] Sometime you got to you got to take some things. You got to suffer it to be so. Blessed are those who are not offended by what I'm saying. [Applause] Right. Right now, some of y'all are waiting for Some of y'all gathering ammunition to attack me with this week. [Music] already already done jotted it down. Who you going to call when I leave here? Y'all think the Holy Spirit don't reveal that stuff to me while I'm up here. Some of y'all ain't nothing but a snake. [Applause] Oh, I wouldn't have said that. I said it. I said it. I said it. I said it with my full chest. Cuz when we know better, we do better. We do better. Your house is not supposed to be a place of war. Your house is supposed to be peaceful. peaceful. And I don't want nobody in here in this church to get accustomed to being at war at your house. [Applause] You need to be in a place of peace. Be able to get you some good rest. Sleep supposed to be peaceful. Amen. I said sleep. Sleep is supposed to be peaceful. God designed your body to sleep for a number of hours. You're desired to sleep for a number of hours. When you can't sleep through the night, that means there are demonic activity that's disturbing your peace. I know y'all ain't going to say amen, but the truth of the matter is you got to rebuke these spirits that's troubling you in the middle of the night. [Applause] Satan, the Lord rebuke you. You're not going to trouble me in my sleep. Devil, you a liar. Get out of my house. Get out of my bedroom. Get out of my mind. Get out of my spirit. Leave me alone. You got to talk to the devil. You got to rebuke the devil. Stop petting this stuff and and making this thing seeming uncomfortable. The devil is a liar. I will have peace in my house. And somebody need to go home today and when you open the door, tell every devil in the room, in the house, get out. Get out. Get out. I plead the blood over my house in every room, in the bathroom, in the kitchen, on the first, second, and third level. I rebuke the devil in my house, y'all. [Applause] Lord have mercy. And while you're rebuking him out of your physical house, rebuke him out of your life. Rebuke him out of your life. Rebuke him out of your life. Do Do y'all know I got to go? I got to quit. I got to quit. Do y'all know that the devil has an assignment to weather saints out? The devil The devil every day is on assignment to drive some of you crazy. The devil is on assignment to make you think that you are not good enough. The devil is on assignment that makes you think you're not going to have a life lifetime full of happiness. The devil is on assignment. But I wish there was somebody in the room. The Bible says ever since the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom have suffer violence and the violence. How many of y'all going to go into the enemy's camp and take back what's sold from you? Take it back. You can't have my happiness. You can't have my peace. You can't have my joy. You can't have my praise. You can't have my worship. You can't have my devotion. You can't have my meditation. The cost. It's the cost. It's a cost. There's a cost to saying yes. There's a cost. You're going to be challenged. You're going to be fought. You're going to be talked about. You going to be lied on. Yeah. It It's all a part of it. Jesus said it this way. He says, "As Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourself likewise with the same mind." You going to be persecuted, Chris. You going to be misunderstood. And some folk ain't going to like you. But that's all right. Keep serving the Lord because serving the Lord is going to pay off after a while. It may not look like it right now, but serving the Lord, doing the right thing, living the right kind of life is going to pay off. It's going to pay off. It's going to pay off after a while. Give somebody high five. Get out of your seat and tell your neighbor, "It's going to pay off after a while." It's going to pay day. is coming. Payday is coming. Pay payday is coming. I said payday is coming. I said payday is coming. I said payday is coming. Look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor payday is coming. Payday is coming. You ain't saying nothing. Look at them. Look at them. They don't want to get up. They don't want to get up. Go to them. Tell them payday. Payday. Payday. Payday. Payday. Payday. Payday. It's coming. It's coming. Oh yeah. It's coming. It's coming. It's coming. Yeah. It's coming. It's coming. It's coming. It's coming. Exodus. I'm going I'm going with this. Exodus. Exodus chapter chapter 3. Uh uh yeah. Exodus chapter 3 verse number 8. Jesus God said to the children of Israel, "I have surely seen the affliction of my people. I I I've seen I've seen my people afflicted." And and but they've been praying. They've been praying. They've been praying. They I hope you've been praying. I hope you've been praying. The afflictions ought to make you pray. I I said the afflictions ought to make you pray. Hurt ought to make you pray. Pain ought to make you pray. Betrayal ought to make you pay. Disloyalty ought to make you pray. I've surely seen the affliction of my people and I've heard their cry and I come down to deliver them. Look at your neighbor and say, "Pay day is coming." Oh yes it is. Oh yes it is. I said oh yes it is. Hey day is coming. It is coming. It is coming. Stand on your feet. Stand on your feet. Stand on your feet. Stand on your feet. Stand on your feet. Father. Father. Father. Father. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you Lord that you taught that you taught in the text that he that comes after you was must take up his cross and follow you daily [Music] that each one of us have a cross. We have a cross to bear. We have a cross to carry. Each of us in this room have had some dark days. Have had some lonely [Music] nights. Have been fought within and without. Been betrayed. Been forsaken and left for dead. Yeah, but that's the cost of being your disciple [Music] that we take up our cross. As painful as it may be, as hurtful as it may be, as disloyal as some people may be, it's a part of our cross. and you told us to take up your take up the cross that we have been given. Each of us don't go through the same thing. [Music] There some things that some of us have had to endure that nobody knows about. Nobody knows about.

the molestation. The abuse, even from childhood—the abuse that some of us have endured. Nobody knows the level of betrayal some of us have endured from leaders, from pastors, from church folk. Nobody knows the pain and the scars that we bear on a daily basis. Feeling like we're in the back of the line when you called us to the front of the line.

[Music]

Not feeling worthy, not feeling like we were good enough. It's the cross. It's the cross that we bear. It's the cross that we carry. Yes. But you told us that if we didn't take up our cross and follow you, we're not fit to be your disciple. And so, Father, the cost of our Yes. have us in a place, some of us are on the verge of backsliding. Some of us are on the verge of leaving church altogether. Some of us have had bad relationships, bad experiences in relationships that we don't even want to open ourselves up again to.

Yes, you're in the house. God sent me to tell you to hold on. Hold on. Better is coming. Can you look at your neighbor and tell your neighbor, "Hold on. Better is coming."

Yeah. Yeah. Hold on. Tell them. Come on. Don't I need you to minister to somebody. Y'all ain't Y'all Y'all looking at me. I said, "Minister to your neighbor and tell your neighbor, hold on. Better is coming. I know you've been crying. I know you've been through. I know you hurt. I know you in pain. But hold on. Better. Better."

Somebody shout, "Better. Better is coming. Better is coming. Better is coming." Whisper it to your neighbor. Better is coming. Better. Better is coming. I wish I could come down there and tell every one of y'all personally, but but but hear me under the sound of my voice. Better is coming. Better is coming. I I know. I know. I know. I feel it. I feel it in here. I feel betrayal in here. I feel it in this room. But better is coming. Better is coming. Better is coming. God's got something in store for you. He's got something better in store for you. He's He's opening doors. He's making way better. Battle better is coming. Better is coming. Better is coming. Better is coming. Battle is coming. Battle is coming. Better is coming. It's coming.

Yeah. Put your hand on somebody. Put your hand on somebody. Start praying for him right now. Pray for him right now. Pray for them. Pray for them. Come on. Pray for them right now. Pray for them right now. Pray for them right now. Pray for them. Pray for them. You don't know what they've been through. You don't know what they're going through. But better is coming. They wait. Better is coming. Better is coming. Better is coming. You sowed in tears. You sowed in tears. You're going to reap in joy. You're going to reap in joy. Yes. You're going to reap in joy. It hurt you. It hurt you. But it's going to make you better. Better is coming. Better is coming. Better is coming. Better is coming, Toronto. Better is coming, Mary. Better is coming. Better is coming, mother. Better is coming. Better is coming. Better is coming. Better is coming. Battle is coming. Battle is coming. Battle is coming.

But the Lord sends me today to speak into your life today that better is coming. It's coming. It's coming. I just want you to receive it. It's coming. It's coming for you. It's coming. It's coming for you. It's coming for you. It's coming for you. Better is coming for you. I speak healing in inside out. I speak healing to you today in the name of Jesus. And it is so. Be healed, be healed in your emotions in the name of Jesus' name. From this day forward and forever more the Lord heal you in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. And he loves you. And he loves you. And he loves you. And he loves you in the name of the Lord.
