Is there Proof of the Exodus? Archaeological Evidence Unveiled

Under the Hood0:53

Transcription

Is there any proof of The Exodus? Archaeologists have done a lot of work in the two cities that are named in the book of Exodus, Ramsay and Pithom.

At Ramsay, you had an archaeologist whose name was Manfred BAC. He's from the University of Vienna. I don't know that he's a believer, but when he dug around this slave city that is filled with all these slave huts and grain silos and everything else, which the Bible describes, all of a sudden he says the city just empties out. It's just all gone. It says during the reign of Amose II, which most scholars believe is the Pharaoh of The Exodus, all of a sudden it's gone. And there's no burn layer. There's no destruction. It's not slain soldiers. It wasn't conquered. It was just abandoned like that.

And you go to Pithom, and the archaeological report for that city, it's the same thing. It's a slave city that all of a sudden, right after the reign, it says, of Thutmose III, right at the exact same time, suddenly empties out. Which sounds a lot like an exodus.
