The most common thing I have seen being dug up on the former Stellingrad battlefield are unexloded shells and unused ammunition.
But if the diggers turn lucky, they can also find items such as machine guns, helmets, sometimes with names still inside, belt buckles, badges, identification tags, condom containers, rifles with fixed bayonets, rings, trench art, and even human remains.
Why would finding a body be considered lucky?
