When it comes to circulation, there's one particular herb right here called Ginkgo biloba. This has healing medicinal properties when it comes to circulation. This will do wonderful things, particularly in your feet, your ankles, your legs, your hands, your eyes, and your brain. If you could only imagine how one little pill can do so much, and that's what we're going to learn today. The physiology and mechanism of Ginkgo are quite fascinating when it comes to circulation. The flavonoids and the terpenoids help to dilate the blood vessels, and the widening of those blood vessels improves blood flow and oxygen delivery throughout all the cells of the body. The compounds in Ginkgo biloba have strong antioxidant properties; they protect your cells from oxidative stress and free radical damage, potentially leading to healthier blood vessels.

Ginkgo has mild anti-coagulant effects, meaning it can reduce the stickiness of platelets and lower the risk of blood clots, which enhances blood flow and ultimately helps to thin the blood. One of my favorite things about Ginkgo biloba is its role in nitric oxide production. What does that mean? Within the blood vessels, your body secretes nitric oxide, allowing for vasodilation, or the opening of the blood vessels, which enables blood to travel through more easily. More blood means more oxygen and more nutrition, and that's not only in your legs and ankles; it goes everywhere. Everywhere there are blood vessels, they will start to vasodilate. This will help many conditions.

If you've been told you have peripheral arterial disease or intermittent claudication, you may have some plaque within the blood vessels of your legs, or those blood vessels may be constricting. However, as a result of Ginkgo biloba, there are several studies that show this can help vasodilate those arteries to increase blood supply in those areas, making your feet feel warmer and restoring sensation.

I also want to mention one thing about circulation: it's so important to pump your calves when you're sitting down. Bring your toes up and your foot down, just like this. Use your toes! The more you get movement into your ankle, the more you're going to contract the muscles in your legs. When muscles contract, remember this is the farthest thing away from your heart because gravity is pulling all that fluid down. But when those muscles contract, they squeeze on those veins, and as you squeeze on those veins, there's one-way valves that allow circulation. That edema, those exudates, the extra toxins, and the lymph all need to get back up to the heart. Squeezing those calves allows the body to bring it up much more easily.

So, if you are having problems in your legs, your calves, or your ankles, and it hurts to walk, get on a chair and start moving your ankles. Move your legs; let those muscles contract. If you can do any walking around the house, even if you're on a cane or a walker, do it! Just a few minutes here and there will make a tremendous difference by utilizing those muscles. Every time you step and lift up your heel, you're contracting those muscles so that all that extra toxic lymph, as well as inflammation or swelling, can come back up to the heart to help you feel much better.

Regarding your eye health, Ginkgo biloba can help with macular degeneration. The eyes need circulation, particularly the nerves and the retina. If they're not getting circulation, you can develop issues. Ginkgo's role is to improve blood flow, which can potentially slow the progression of these conditions and support overall eye health. In many cases, Ginkgo biloba can help with ringing in the ears, as well as other hearing problems linked to poor blood circulation in the inner ear. By improving blood flow to the auditory pathways, Ginkgo may help reduce these symptoms of tinnitus and support auditory function.

Ginkgo biloba has also been found to help people with vertigo and balance disorders. Going back to the inner ear, increased blood supply can alleviate many of these conditions, which often occur as people age due to circulatory issues. Even diabetic neuropathy, which involves nerve damage caused by poor blood flow and high blood sugar, can be improved with Ginkgo biloba. It has been known to help improve blood circulation and alleviate many of these symptoms, particularly when it comes to neuropathy and overall nerve health.

When it comes to the male and female reproductive systems, Ginkgo biloba has been known to be helpful by increasing blood circulation, allowing things to function better. In conditions involving impaired cognitive function, such as age-related cognitive decline and memory problems, increased cerebral blood flow to the brain can help improve memory and overall cognitive function. Even stroke victims who have experienced interrupted blood flow to the brain may benefit from Ginkgo biloba, as it can support recovery by improving blood flow and reducing oxidative stress in the brain.

Now, if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking blood thinners or anti-coagulants, you need to be aware that Ginkgo biloba can help thin the blood. You should speak to your doctor and always follow your doctor's recommendations because every condition is different. The most common potency you'll see in Ginkgo biloba is a 120 mg extract. The extract is the best, and you can start taking this once a day, building it up to twice a day. Some people use it three times a day. I would always recommend starting out slow and building up. Make sure you speak to your doctor if you have any questions.

People have stayed on this for several months, up to half a year. I feel that whenever you take herbs, it's always good to take a break. How long? It depends on how long you've been taking it. If it's a couple of weeks or a month, it really depends on your condition; there's no one answer for every condition.

So remember, it's all about blood circulation and blood supply. The more circulation you get, the more life you get, the more oxygen you get, the better you're going to feel. The more energy you're going to have, the better you're going to think, sleep, and perform, no matter what you do in your life. It makes a tremendous difference. But don't think that you can just take a pill without eating healthy; it's not going to work. Drink your water, get your sleep, keep that cortisol stress down, and get a little exercise. The more you move, the better you're going to feel.

Please utilize this video the best that you can. Hopefully, it will help you. Do your homework and ask your doctor questions if you are on medications. I cannot stress enough to make sure it's okay that you're taking this correctly because we don't want it to interact with any other kinds of medications. That's my biggest concern. Most importantly, I wish you good health, and make it a great day. I'm Dr. Alan Mandel.
