We share briefly on a topic or title this morning. You need patience to keep your destiny partners. You need patience to keep your destiny partner. And we're sharing from Daniel chapter 2. Daniel chapter 2, verse 1, 2, 19.
This issue of impatience is very similar in terms of its effect, very similar. [Music] Anger. Every mistake you could make out of anger, you will most likely make the same mistake out of impatience. When the king heard that, he became very angry, so he gave an order for all the wise men of Babylon to be killed. King Nebuchadnezzar's order to kill all the wise men was announced. The king's men were sent to look for Daniel and his friends to kill them.
Who was Daniel to this king? [Music] Daniel was a divine helper, positioned by God. [Music] [Music] Daniel was a partner in destiny to King Nebuchadnezzar, one of the men that God had ordained to use to help this king in his reign and in his time. Was the same man, Daniel. [Music]
If you are not patient in life, [Music] you can wipe out your God-given partners, your God-given friends, your God-given helpers. If you are not patient, if you are not patient. Was a commander of the king's guard. He was going to kill the wise men in Babylon, but Daniel talked to him. Daniel spoke politely to either the king or does such a severe punishment. [Music]
If you allow this thing called impatience to overwhelm you, you will take many irrational decisions. A rational decision. [Music] You may cut off completely a God-given partner in destiny, a God-given friend, a God-giving helper. And I tell you this, your God-sent helpers in life and destiny will offend you. Your God-sent helpers in life, in your life and destiny, they will disappoint you.
Verse 16, he said, when Daniel heard the story, he went to King Nebuchadnezzar. [Music] Thank God that the king even allowed Daniel to have access to him, because in some other cases like this, the king would now be so angry and impatient that he would not want to see anyone. [Music] Especially those he's taken action against. [Music]
He went to the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel asked the king to give him some more time. Give him some more time. Today's message is a prophetic word from God. Someone listening to me today, the 30th of July, 2023. This is a prophetic word from God. The Lord says, I shall tell you to be patient with someone. A patient certain people at a time like this. God has spoken in the same way in the past to many people. Some responded positively to God's caution. Some allowed anger, impatience to have hold on them, and warning. Today, as time has passed, we have regrets. They have regrets. [Music]
God is saying to you, give that person some more time. [Music] Patience is the ability to give people more time. More time. [Music] Things cannot always happen at your own time and your deadline. [Music] Men that God has sent to you in life to help you, to support you, to be a blessing to you, you will need to give them some time. [Music] Sometimes to overcome their weaknesses. Sometimes [Music] to meet up with the obligation. Give them more time to correct themselves. Give them more time to adjust and meet up with the standard. Or else, you may impatiently take certain actions that will cost you a God-send helper, partner in destiny, a friend that you are going to need in the days ahead. In the days ahead, you are going to need him. You are going to need her. [Music]
Daniel asked for just one thing. Give me something. And he wasn't asking for so much time. From what we play out here, he was virtually asking for just 24 hours. 24 hours. You have to be very, very careful and discerning from today. [Music] And this spirit in you that will not allow you exercise patience even for 24 hours, for 48 hours with someone close to you, that is not the voice of the Holy Spirit. And you are very likely to to take a decision in error.
So Daniel asks his friends to pray. Verse 16, when Daniel heard the story, he went to King Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel asked the king to give him some more time. Then he will tell the king what the dream was. So Daniel went to his house. He explained the whole story to his friends. Daniel asked his friends to pray to the God of Heaven. I pray that this second half of the year, the Almighty God will honor your desperate need. You will experience a timely divine intervention. God will not fail you. God will not disappoint you. Before the deadline, the help of God will come. Can that man or woman say a powerful Amen to the Almighty? [Music]
He asks his friends to pray to the Lord God of Heaven that the God will be kind to them and help them understand this secret. Then Daniel and his friends would not be killed with the other wise men of Babylon. Bread. So the bread they prayed. So they prayed. Verse 19. The result of the prayer. The result of giving people some time. The result of being patient with your God-sent helpers. Look at the result. In him, it's not just every time you get rid of people. Look at the result. [Music]
And there was not going to be any solution to the king's need. Only God could have done what he was expecting. And the man that would have connected with God to download this answer, he was almost going to kill that man. Get rid of that man. Look at the result in verse 19. He said, during the night, God explained the secret to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel prays, "God of Heaven, may you always do the right things at the right time."
So as we celebrate unity, let's please remember that there are factors that enhance unity, starting from the family, your household, with your inner cycle of close friends and partners. [Music] One of those factors [Music] is patience. [Music] Someone said, be careful in choosing friends. [Music] But be more careful in changing them. Careful in choosing friends. Change it. [Music] Because most times, people change God-giving friends out of impatience. [Music]
You will need to show forgiveness. You will need to show tolerance. You will need to show patience and understanding with your God-giving friends, partners in destiny, and loved ones. And as we wrap it up, what exactly is patience? Patience is the ability to tolerate delay. [Music] Tolerate problems, tolerate suffering without reacting too quickly. Without reacting too quickly. [Music] Or in a wrong way. Patience is the ability to endure difficult circumstances. [Music] And your difficult circumstances. And I can feel it around this experience correctly in the life of someone listening to me right now. God is commanding, commanding you in the midst of this circumstance. [Music] Be patient and avoid a history to see hasty, irrational. Patience is the ability to continue doing something despite difficulties. Because in the midst of certain types of difficulties, you are tempted to stop doing the right thing that you were doing before. So patience involves doing to continue doing certain things you are supposed to do, even in the midst of difficulties. It is the ability to tolerate provocation, tolerate offense without responding in anger, without responding. It is the ability to wait for a long time. [Music] For something you expect to be done. [Music] Can you wait? How long can you wait? Because patience is the ability to wait for a long time. Wait for a sufficient time. Is you see, there's a time that people, people, everyone will tell you, you have waited long enough. Everyone will be convinced that you have waited long enough. Then that means the time is ripe for you to take the next step. It is the ability to give more time to people to do something they are supposed to do. [Music]
So as you go back after today's message, the Lord is saying, give him more time. Give her more time. Time. Give them more time. [Music] Give someone more time to get something done. More time to change. More time to change. Those who have overcome certain vices today, in past, they will sacrifices. [Music] You could have a spouse that is still battling with alcohol, [Music] addicted to alcohol. [Music] It's not enough to call off your marriage. Oh no. You have tolerated this for so many years. Because we have seen over and over people that were once addicted to the same alcohol, today it's over. They have overcome. So it's just patience. God that will break the yoke of that addiction. God has his own time to do what he needs to do in the lives of different people. So you need to give certain people time to overcome certain things. More time to pay you your money. More time to consider your proposal. More time to consider your request. More time to arrive at a decision. [Music] Some people take more time to process things before arriving at a decision. And if you have patience, you'll be able to stay calm and not react in the wrong way. You'll be able to stay calm. [Music]
There are many mistakes that come with impatience, and these mistakes are similar to the mistakes that come with anger. Anger. In Psalm 37:7-8, easy to read fashion: "Trust in the Lord, wait patiently for his help. Don't be when people make evil plans and succeed. Don't become so angry and upset that you too want." Impatience leads to hasty decisions. It leads to irrational decisions. At least two, it will lead you to hastily execute judgment or punishment that you ought to leave in the hands of God. Vengeance belongs to God. It leads to hasty utterances. Many people are regretting their past actions today because they spoke out of impatience. In Exodus chapter 14, verse 9 to 14, while Israel was coming out of Egypt under the leadership of Moses, as they approached the Red Sea, behind them were the Egyptians pursuing them. And when they sighted Egyptians, from verse 9 to 14, you read how impatiently they spoke in anger against Moses, "Why have you brought us out of Egypt to come and kill us here?" And they said many things impatiently. It leads to hasty pronouncements. Thank you. It leads to hasty use of bitter words that even when you apologize later, the damage has been done. It leads to hasty use of insulting words, and sometimes people pronounce cases out of ungainly patience. It leads to violent actions. It looks so destructive actions. [Music] You could see the king, Pharaoh, Nebuchadnezzar, almost [Music] kill his friends and all other officers in his palace. Avoidable mistakes and lifetime regrets.
Lastly, Hebrews chapter 10 verse 36, Living Bible: "It says, you need to keep on patiently doing God's will if you want him to do for you all that he has promised." In your walk with God, in your relationship with God, in your walk with men and destiny friends and helpers, you will need to exercise a lot of patience. In Proverbs 19:21, Living Bible says, "Man proposes, but God disposes. Man proposes, but God disposes." Be patient and watch how things will play out because the stone which the builders rejected, through God's hand in action, many of them will eventually emerge as the most important. And always remember that every man or woman around you has his own as destined by God. At the age of 30, it was God's appointed time for Jesus. He began ministry at 30. It was God's appointed time for John the Baptist. He began ministry at 30. It was God's appointed time for David. He became king over Israel at the age of 30. It was God's appointed time for King Solomon. He became king at the age of 30. But for Moses, for Joshua, for Peter, for Paul, the age of 30 was not the appointed time. God was also going to use them mightily, but their own time was still in the days. And since, be patient. Patient. Something very good is going to come out at the end of your current trials. Whoever that person is, let the Lord hear you say Amen.
In Psalm 118:22-23, New Living Translation, it says, "The stone that the builders rejected has now become has now could take to it has now could take. But be rest assured that as God steps in, there is going to be a positive change. The stone that the builders rejected has now become the Cornerstone. This is the Lord's doing." Are you ready to exercise patience and let God step into that matter? Can I see your hand raised unto heaven? God will move in from today in the name of Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus. Jesus.
And we see people and we see friends around us, godly men, wise people and women. Is why some out of mercy, some out of understanding, show understanding [Music] with those people by being patient. Some exercise patience out of tolerance. Out of tolerance. [Music] Some exercise patience out of commitment. Some exercise patience out of low health. Out of loyalty. You don't just change camp anyhow. Out of loyalty, stay in your camp and pray. Put in your efforts together with the rest to see things get better. Some exercise patience out of gratitude. Out of gratitude. One of the ways you can express your gratitude to someone that God had used in the past is by exercising patience. Such a person, especially at critical times. So please, let us exercise patience, and God will honor your best. Improve us.
As a last scripture, Proverbs 25:15, Proverbs 25:15, Easy to Read version, it says, "With patience, you can make anyone change their thinking, even a ruler. Even in a ruler, gentle speech is the voice." Proverbs 25:15, The Voice version says, "Patience can soften up a leader. Don't always insist. Always insist [Music] that what you feel is the right thing must be done now. [Music] Present whatever is your opinion. Sometimes you need to back it up with some patience." He says, "Patience can soften." [Music] Living Bible, he said, "Be patient and you will finally win. Patient and you will finally win." Something dramatic is going to happen. God is asking you for one thing this morning. [Music]
Moses will tell the Israelites in Exodus chapter 14, after they reacted history, he said, "Be still, watching God in action." Please turn to someone by your left or right and say, "Never be still, watch God in action." You believe that? Stand on your feet in God's presence. Stand on your feet. Stand on your feet. Stand on your feet. [Music]
