You coddled him. You confided in him. You made him feel like the man of the house. And then blamed every woman after you when he couldn't grow up.
You told him his father wasn't. You made him your emotional support and called it maturity. But what it really was was enmeshment. You didn't protect his boyhood. You skipped it.
And while your daughters were raised to be strong, obedient, and self-sacrificing, your sons were raised to be kings, but without kingdoms, without discipline, and without tools.
So now we're dating men who think care is control, who only know how to love if it looks like worship, who fold under accountability because mommy never said no. He doesn't need a girlfriend. He needs a mother who let him be a boy and a father who actually showed up.
But instead, he got you. And now women who love him are stuck raising a man who thinks he's already finished. We didn't come here to clean up the mess your broken heart made. These men ain't.
And the mothers that turned them into their therapists, you didn't raise a partner. You raised a problem.
