How's it going folks? Jeff Benjamin with 9to5Mac. In this video, we explore over 150 changes and features for iOS 26. There are so many hidden gems in this release. So, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you for sure don't know all the changes and features that are covered in this video. So, first and foremost, the redesign. Of course, liquid glass permeates the entire UI design. It is very much prominent as you can see here. You see the refraction of the light as you pull down the notification center pane. And this is something that you'll see throughout the entire OS. It has been toned down a little bit from its initial inception, but it is still very much there. You see all the transparency with things like Control Center and whatnot. We'll show you more as we go on. But you also have updated controls that are influenced by the new redesign. As you can see there that liquid glass as you turn the switches on and off, you can see that you can actually drag between the on and off position. You can really see the detail there with the light refracting as you saw. And of course, here on the toolbar in the Music app and in other apps as well, you'll see this new redesign layout with liquid glass highly influencing the look and feel of it. You can see here as you slide between each control, you can do it like that. And you can see very prominently that glass effect as you switch between each control. And of course, you can tap those individually if you wish to do so as well to switch between them. And in places like the TV app, for instance, you'll see the transport controls are transparent and you can see the light or the background shining through those particular buttons, which looks really cool.
The redesign also includes new dynamic tab bars. So, you'll notice as you scroll, for instance, in the Music app, you'll see the tab bar change dynamically as you scroll up and down the app. And it's sort of the same principle that we've seen for a while in the Safari app. Uh, obviously that has been updated as well. You'll notice that the address bar, you'll see the transparency of that altered as you scroll over darker subjects like this. And you also have new in-place alerts. So, for instance, if you close this out now, delete draft or save draft options are right there where you tapped. So, it's just easier to go ahead and process that action instead of having to tap somewhere in the middle.
There's also expanded context menus. So, for instance, here with the copy-paste menu, also get the liquid glass effect there. But if you tap the disclosure triangle, it opens up into a full-fledged menu that you can scroll up and down to access all your various options. And that's a super handy new addition. And there's easier access to search basically within all the apps. So, right at the bottom is where you're going to find your search panel, which is super handy, especially on larger phones. There's no need to enact reachability. for instance, you can just easily access search right there at the bottom of your favorite applications. And you'll notice a new magnifier loop that employs the liquid glass effect. And you can imagine that Apple designers had a really fun time reimagining iOS.
So, the Home Screen has also undergone quite a bit of significant change here in iOS 26. It all starts with the app icons which have been all redesigned, some more dramatic than others with liquid glass in mind, having multiple layers as you can see there with the Mail app quite a bit different. You can see the different layers of glass. The News app, basically all the apps, Podcast quite a bit different. Uh, of course, Photos is the one that really stands out with those multiple layers of colors there. And you can see the difference between there. It looks a little bit more flat on iOS 18 when comparing the two. And besides that, there's also new light-tinted icons and widgets. So, if you go into edit mode, you go up to edit and customize. Of course, we had tinted before, but now when you go into tint, you see the new light and dark option. And there's also an auto option based on time of day. But as I move here, you can see these are the light-tinted icons and that allows the light to shine through. So you can see what's in the background. Again, taking advantage of that liquid glass, but dark still does the same as well. That's still transparent to a degree, too. And auto, of course, will switch between the two. And of course, those icons will be updated in various other sections around iOS, like in the Settings app.
There's also clear icons and widgets now. So, we're going to go ahead and customize. Here you see the new clear option. So, this really takes the liquid glass effect up a notch. Uh, obviously tinting gave you that, but now you actually have a clear icon devoid of tint, which is going to give you the most transparency on both your icons and your widget. You can see how the wallpaper shines through. So, now let's go ahead and switch over to the dark. So, this is the dark clear icon effect here in iOS 26. And there's now match tinting. So, this is a really cool new feature that you'll find here. If you go to tint it, you'll see these two little buttons on the left here. You can match the tinting of your icons based on your case or your iPhone color. So, if you have a new iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro Air, or baseline iPhone 17, you have a new case, you're going to be able to take advantage of the new tint-matched options as well.
Another thing I appreciate is being able to quickly edit your wallpaper from the Home Screen. So, if you go into edit mode, you can now edit wallpaper. This doesn't let you change the wallpaper, but it allows you to edit the current wallpaper that you have displayed. Just like that.
Now, let's talk about some really cool audio-video things. So, now there is this feature called Local Capture. So, if we go into Control Center, we add a new control. You want to search for local here. So, that's what we're going to do. And then you'll find that under Utilities, Local Capture. So, what is this? This allows you to capture your video feed or your audio feed locally for the highest quality. So, say you're doing a video stream over Zoom or FaceTime. Well, this is going to allow you to not only have the stream, which is obviously going to be of various quality depending on your internet connection, but it's also going to capture a local copy of your FaceTime conversation or whatever you're using directly to your iPhone. So, that's going to give you the highest quality sound and the highest quality video. So, say you're doing a podcast and you want to sync afterwards. Well, now you can do that. See, you could just show in Files and there is that local copy of that video and that's going to be of the highest quality. And the cool thing, it's not influenced by your internet connection. So, say you had a FaceTime conversation and your internet was a little spotty and the bit rate of the video just kind of decreased and it just didn't look all that good. But if you have a local capture session going, that's not going to matter because it captures everything locally.
And you also have higher quality screen recordings. This is a very subtle new feature. But when you start a screen recording, you'll notice that the resulting recordings are no longer downscaled like they previously were. So, I'm doing a screen recording now. Stop that. And now if I go to view that recording. So, here's a screenshot. You can see the resolution 1320x2868. Right now, look at the screen recording. Same resolution. Previously, that was downscaled and it looked a lot worse. Now, screen recordings capture at the native resolution. And as you can see here when you zoom in on those, it looks so much better than the screen recordings of old. Not nearly as grainy or fuzzy. Nice new improvement.
iOS 26 also allows you to use Voice Isolation for recorded audio. So, I'm going to open Blackmagic Camera, start a new recording. Listen here. So, this is a video recorded without Voice Isolation enabled. Okay. So, now let's compare the two. So, I'm going to swipe down on Control Center. Tap here. And now you see the Voice Isolation option. Once that's enabled, now I'm going to go ahead and record again. So, this is a video recorded with Voice Isolation enabled. Tell me if you can tell the difference at all. So, now let's play those back and compare the two. >> So, this is a video recorded without Voice Isolation enabled. >> You can hear a lot of little distortion in the background. Just not that great. Let's play this one with Voice Isolation. >> So, this is a video recorded with Voice Isolation enabled. Tell me if you can tell the difference at all. >> Definitely can tell the difference there.
There's also a new input picker for audio, which is great. So, you no longer have to guess where your audio is coming from. Now, if you swipe down for Control Center, you have this input picker. I have my Wireless Pro RX, highly recommended microphone, by the way. And now I am recording with that. So, when I use my transmitter, I can just tap on it, and you can see the audio levels adjust as I tap, indicating that that is the source. Super nice.
And AirPods can now pause media when falling asleep. So, in your AirPods settings, if you scroll down, you'll see pause media when falling asleep. So, if you like to keep your AirPods in when going to sleep, this is going to be a nice new addition.
And the Podcast app gains enhanced audio and speed controls. So, here if you tap the 1X button, you see these new options here. So, you have enhanced dialogue, which is just going to make the dialogue sound that much better. And then you have the various speed controls. And now there's a new granular option when you swipe on the speed controls like this. So, you can really go in there and adjust that to your specific liking and find the exact speed that you want. But the cool thing here is that you can actually save these settings per show. So, I can go down to speed and audio adjustments. So, now you have default settings, but you can customize for individual shows. So, that's what we're going to do here now. So, now I have playback speed 1.0. I can enhance dialogue. I can adjust that. And now I've altered the default settings for Happy Hour. So, if I go back in and open the speed controls, you'll see a new reset to default option.
In the TV app gains a new design with more prominent covers that just look more stylistic. Just looks a little bit more modern, more Netflix-esque, if you will. And of course, it gets that updated liquid glass look. There's also the updated player as we showed you a little bit earlier.
So, Live Translation is basically an entire suite that is all across iOS 26. In the Messages app, you can enable automatically translate here and you can translate from various languages. So, you see I have French already downloaded. So, we'll just switch to that. So, this is on an individual by individual message thread. And as you'll see here at the bottom, translating French and I can change that to English only, only, or stop translation if I want to do that. Now, here's what happens when I actually send a message. You can see "Merci beaucoup" and it tells you the translation: "Thank you very much." Now, if I change the setting to just English only, it won't show the native French language. It'll just show the translation as you see there. So, all I need to do to switch back is just tap the little translating button there and I change back and then you can see the original language or you can stop translation just like that.
Now, in FaceTime, if you hit the More button, you'll see the ability to have Live Translation there with captions. So, if I tap that here, I can choose my from and to languages and then I just choose start translation. And now listen. >> Merci beaucoup. Merci. >> And you can see it translates with the captions in English. >> Merci beaucoup. Pretty handy to have that feature.
But it's not just FaceTime. You also get audio translation in the Phone app. So, if I go to the More button, I can choose Live Translation there. Choose my from and to language. And then I can start the translation. And I get that right within the Phone app as well with captions.
But you also get Live Translation via AirPods. So, if you have AirPods Pro 2, AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 3, then you have this translation beta option. So, with both AirPods in your ears, press and hold both AirPods to start Live Translation. So, you can actually have a full-on conversation with other people. I actually just played a YouTube video to demonstrate this in Spanish listening with my AirPods, and it was able to translate the entire thing in real time, super quick. It was extremely impressive. Honestly, I think this is probably one of the most impressive features that I've seen from Apple in quite some time. I mean, imagine carrying on a conversation with someone who doesn't speak your language at all because you both have AirPods Pro with Live Translation.
Now, let's talk about some of the other features that I appreciate in iOS 26. So, verification codes can now come not just from the Messages app, but from all third-party apps via notifications, just like that. So, that one's from Outlook. You also have the ability to not just autofill passwords, but also credit cards now finally as well. So, just tap credit card and it'll verify with Face ID and then you could just tap what you want to autofill from your credit card information and that is super handy to have.
Another thing that I really like is the new focus-based SIM silencing feature. So, if you have multiple SIMs on your iPhone connected, multiple eSIMs in this case, you can go to your Focus settings, go to Add Filter, and now you'll see this new one for Phone, and you can choose Filter by SIM. So, if you only want your business calls to come through while this filter is active, you can just choose Business, and it will do just that whenever that Focus, in this case, Do Not Disturb, is active.
And dictation gets better. So, if I say Dwayne, but I want to spell it like the basketball player, I can just say D-W-Y-A-N-E and it'll fix that spelling right there.
And you'll find a more robust wired accessories permission. Not going to be found under Face ID & Passcode, but it's actually going to be found here under Privacy & Security, Wired Accessories. So, you have these four options: Always Ask, Ask for New Accessories, Automatically Allow When Unlocked, and Always Allow. So, a little bit more granular settings than you previously had under Face ID & Passcode in iOS 18.
Okay, so this one is huge. Background tasks. Now, previously you had background task capability. For instance, when downloading something from Safari, this was in iOS 18. You got this little interface that shows your download progress, right? No big deal. But it is a big deal because now third parties can tap into the same thing. So, here with Fido, I'm exporting this podcast and look, I close the app, yet it's still running in the background, that export, and I can go about my business doing other things. I can swipe that away. You see the plus one indicating I have multiple tasks. Huge feature.
And there's a new battery UI that you'll find here in iOS 26 under Settings, Battery. So, you get this refresh UI at the top. Really prominent current charge indicator, a button to quickly charge to 100%, app system activity, etc. And battery estimates now come, which allows you to see how long it's going to take to charge. So, here, 12% charge, 1 hour plus to 80%. So, depending on your charger speed, that could vary.
There's also a new adaptive power mode feature. So, under Settings, Battery, Power Mode, you'll see this new adaptive power feature. And basically what this does is that when your battery usage is higher than usual, iPhone can extend battery life by making various performance adjustments such as lowering display brightness, disabling things like iCloud syncing for photos, turning on low power mode automatically at 20%, etc. And you can turn on notifications to let you know when adaptive power is making changes to help extend battery life.
And you'll find a new centralized block list in Settings. So, if you go to Settings, Privacy & Security, you can scroll down, you'll see Blocked Contacts. So, you have all that in one place. You can see you have all your blocked contacts, and you can add a block contact via email or phone number.
There's also guided support. So, you'll find that under the Tips app. You can also use this via Siri, but here under Get Support, you get guided step-by-step personalized support. So, if you tap continue there, you can view your various suggested help items. If you tap on one of those, it'll guide you through based on your particular device and your account situation. So, here, checking your iPhone, getting suggestions for you. Did you already try to reset your password? So, it'll help you walk through that whole process there. So, maybe one less phone call to Apple Support. And there's other features as well. For instance, battery life. It can run a battery check, tell you how healthy your battery is, and provide suggestions to extend battery life.
And the lock screen gets some changes, including a new dynamic lock screen that dynamically adjusts the clock to expand or compress. And if you go in and edit your wallpaper, you can do this manually like this. But it will also could have chosen a little bit more flattering picture there, but sorry about that. Hope I didn't scare any kids. Um, but you can see as I move this photo, the clock automatically adjusts dynamically, which is really cool. And you can see the occlusion in effect as well. So, that allows you to see the subject of your background without blocking it out. But in this case, maybe it would be a good idea to block it out. I don't know.
And of course, like always, there's new wallpaper. So, this is the new iOS 26 wallpaper. You get a dynamic version. Of course, one comes in Shadow. You also have Sky, Halo, and Dusk. I like the dynamic though because that changes throughout the day. What do you think about the new wallpaper? Let me know down below in the comment section.
And one of the coolest new features in iOS 26 is the new Spatial Scenes feature. So, you tap the little spatial scenes button when editing a wallpaper. And this will basically separate the foreground from the background. So, that when you move your phone around like this, the foreground can subtly move across the background, which provides you sort of a 3D effect, a pseudo 3D effect, but it looks pretty cool, especially with my chicken here. Thumbs up for the chicken.
And there's animated album artwork, which is not new in and of itself, of course, but now animated album artwork comes to the lock screen for the first time, as you can see right here. And not only do I appreciate the animation, but I like how the clock and the time sort of goes up to the top to get out of the way. Looks really good with this album artwork.
The Calculator app gets some updates as well. It now has both a backspace key and a clear/all-clear key. So, Apple's calculator engineers basically said, "Why not both? Let's go ahead and throw them both in there." And that's a nice feature to have. You also can graph in three dimensions instead of just two dimensions now. So, if I go to Math Notes, I can set a Z-axis as you can see there. So, Z equals 5, insert 3D graph, just like that. And of course, I can move it around, enlarge it, etc. You can also change the range of a graph just by tapping the range button right here. So, I can choose the X from and to, the Y from and to, or the Z from and to.
And in iOS 26, the Clock app gets some really cool updates. So, now you have the snooze duration that you can set in your alarm section. So, I can choose between 1 minute all the way up to 15 minutes. So, if I just want to be real particular, that's nice. There's also a larger snooze button. So, that's going to be really handy if you have your phone on a nightstand or whatever the case may be. That's just going to be easier to tap. Just like that.
And now system-level timers via AlarmKit. So, this is really going to bring a lot of benefits to third-party apps with system-level timers. So, when I enable that, it'll take me over to the app's preferences with all its various permission settings. So, I can enable alarms just like this. And when I enable that, that enables other features. Let me show you. First one, countdowns on a lock screen. So, now if you have a lock screen live activity, you can actually view that live countdown on the lock screen now. So, it won't sort of time out and only show when it wakes up. But now even with the phone locked with that always-on display, you can see it in real time. It also makes possible, yes, full-screen alarms just like you get with a regular clock app. So, no longer are you limited to just some little puny notification. Now you get an actual alarm that displays full screen. And this allows you to override Focus filters and silent mode. So, here on this alarm, just going to go ahead and set that. And now I have Do Not Disturb on. And you can see it still alerts me with a full-screen alarm clock alert.
So, let's talk about some of the accessibility improvements. First of all, vehicle motion cues get some improvements here. So, if you go to Settings, Accessibility, Motion, Vehicle Motion Cues, you're going to notice a new customized appearance section. And this allows you to change the pattern from regular to dynamic or vice versa. You also have various colors you can switch between. You can change the visibility of the dots to change between larger dots and more dots. Nice improvements.
You also find a new accessibility reader under Read & Speak, which this allows you to read or listen to text in a full-screen view and customize the layout. So, here, accessibility reader. This can be accessed via a shortcut or from Control Center. So, I'm going to go ahead and add the accessibility reader to my Control Center. So, here's a web page. First of all, we'll use that to test with. So, let's go ahead and go ahead and add this new control. Just type in there, reader. There it is. So, now when I tap on that, that will convert that web page into this new accessibility reader view. And I can play back the audio if I want to do that. And I can customize the view as well to make the text larger, change the color, etc. Also customize dark mode, book mode, and edit that with all sorts of different editing options. Nice new feature for those that may be visually impaired.
Speaking of which, there's new Braille access. So, under VoiceOver, you'll see under Braille, there is Braille Access. This allows you to quickly access Braille notes, BRF files, and more using a Braille display. And there's various options that you can go in there and configure as well.
And now you can share accessibility settings quickly between devices. So, here I'm going to enable Classic Invert on my iPhone. And I'm going to add a new control to share accessibility. There we go. So, there's the new share accessibility shortcut. Just go ahead and add that to Control Center. And now what I'm going to do is I'm going to tap on that guy. And it's going to ask me who do you want to share it with? My devices. I tap that. And now on the receiving device, which is my iPad, I just hold with three fingers like this to accept that. And you can see it automatically adopts my accessibility settings from my iPhone on a temporary basis.
There's also name recognition, which is super handy for those who are hard of hearing. So, if I go to Sound & Name Recognition, I can go ahead and enable that. So, previously we had sound recognition, but now you can actually have it listen for specific names. So, in this case, I'm going to say Ducky, type the name, and then you can either generate audio, which sounds okay, but I'd rather actually record my pronunciation because some people say things differently than others. So, just record three times like that, saying Ducky, Ducky, Ducky. Right. And now it's done. So, now whenever your phone hears the word Ducky, yeah, it says Name Recognition. Recognized a sound that may be Ducky. So, if someone says, "Hey, Ducky." Well, now you know they're talking to you.
And there's a new head tracking feature in Accessibility settings, Head Tracking. And this feature uses the camera to track movements of your head to control a pointer on screen and tracks facial movements as well to perform actions. So, you have these various options on how the pointer moves relative to the head in this case. And you have these various actions that can do certain things. So, for instance, whenever I raise my eyebrows, I can make this thing um do any of these features, but in this case, I'm going to say, hey, open Control Center. All right, let's turn head tracking on. So, now I'm just going to move my head around, and it can actually see where I want to point. And if I raise my eyebrows like that, it opens up Control Center. So, it takes some getting used to, but I could definitely see Apple building on this and making it even better as time goes on. But there's no doubt, and I've said it before, Apple is the absolute king of accessibility, hands down.
And in 26, there's more background sounds and additional options. So, if you go to Audiovisual, Background Sounds, you'll see the sound panel which includes several new sounds like Babble Stream or Stream, rather, Airplane, Boats, Bus, Train, On Roof, Quiet Night. So, we'll choose Babble. What's cool though is there's this new equalizer setting and this allows you to change the broad or focus tone frequency of that particular sound. So, you can really get some granular sound customization in there as well.
One of the really impressive improvements that you'll find for accessibility is with Personal Voice. So, let me show you how Personal Voice used to sound in iOS 18. So, preview. >> This is Jeff's personal voice. >> This is Jeff's personal voice one. >> Doesn't sound like me at all. Here's the new one. This is Jeff's personal voice. >> Still don't really sound like me, but a lot better, right? Wouldn't you agree? And now creating your personal voice no longer takes forever. Now you only have to read 10 sentences and it creates it in like a minute. So, the speed improvement is ridiculous compared to how it used to be. So, you can go through this step. It used to be so arduous and would take forever, but now Personal Voice setup can be done in just a matter of minutes. It is so much improved here in iOS 26. So, once you go through and read the various phrases, then it'll create your personal voice for you in just a minute.
And we also have Preview. Coming to iOS for the very first time, this Mac app staple allows you to view PDFs, images, and other file types. For instance, here is a PNG file. You can go info on that and get details on that file. And of course, you can also view a PDF just like that. And you can also edit those images, edit the PDF, create a new image if you want to see details about that PDF. Preview also supports autofill and editing of PDFs. So, I can go in there and mark up a PDF, for instance, using the markup tools. I can also rotate or whatever the case may be there. I can crop just like that. And of course, it supports autofill as well, although there are no real autofill places on this particular PDF, but it does support that. It also allows you to scan documents directly into Preview, similar to how you can do in the Notes app. That's handy. And you can also create from clipboard. So, if you copy something to the clipboard like this image right here and I go to Preview, I can say New Document and then New from Clipboard and that'll just paste that right in there just like that and I can further mark it up. You also have image editing. So, if I go up to Edit, I can rotate, I can flip if I want to do that and I can use cropping. So, I can crop that image and I can, of course, mark it up if I want to do that. And I'll relish in this opportunity to showcase my artistic talent. Yeah, some talent there. You also have the ability to adjust the size, height, width, proportion, resolution, etc. You can also create a new empty image and create a brand new drawing right there from within Preview and manipulate it to your liking.
Now, the other new app is the Games app. And this is basically an amalgamation of Game Center and Apple Arcade and the game section of the App Store all meshed into one. And what's really cool is you can actually control this interface with a controller, such as if you have a DualShock controller, you can control this whole interface with that controller, which is nice. And you can access your Arcade, your library, all your friends. The Home Screen has all the newest games and stuff. You can actually download games directly from the Games app. So, this is Crossy Road Castle. I'm downloading directly from there. And then you can launch that app or invite someone else to play the app right from this interface. And the nice thing is it tells you all the details about the game, whether or not it supports controllers, etc. So, we're going to launch the game. It loads it up. Game Mode automatically turns on and all of its benefits that come with that.
Now, iOS 26 also brings the new game overlay. Okay. So, when you're in the game, if you open up Control Center, tap up here, you'll see the ability to invite others to play, your achievements, leaderboards. So, you can see I still have some ways to go here with Crossy Road Castle. Great game, by the way. And then you also have your leaderboards. You can see how you stack up to others. And then you have your friends. And then you have basic controls like display, sound, whether or not a controller is connected, Game Mode, etc.
Now, speaking of controller, you can easily pair with a controller like the DualShock simply by plugging in a USB cable like this, and now it's connected instantly. So, if you use your iPhone as a gaming machine, this is a no-brainer, being able to quickly connect via USB cable to the DualShock controller like this. And as I stated earlier, you can directly control the Games app interface and launch games using only the controller. And of course, Crossy Road Castle supports controllers. So, I can go in there and play that. It plays pretty good without a controller, but obviously having the controller and the accuracy of that makes it even better.
Now, Visual Intelligence gets quite a few huge improvements in iOS 26, starting with on-screen content. So, when you take a screenshot, this is how it looks now. So, the whole screenshot interface integrates with Visual Intelligence. So, this allows you to perform a Google search for whatever's on the screen. In this case, the ego blower. Well, there you go. There's your Google search. So, basically like a reverse image search is going to show you all the relevant images related to your screenshot. And then you can, of course, tap on one of those items. Obviously, this one didn't actually take me to what I wanted, but there's other links there that you can tap as well.
But what's really neat is the ability to search within third-party apps that you may have installed on your device. So, I have the Lowe's app and now I can use Visual Intelligence. Tap right there. It opens directly up into the Lowe's app directly to the item that I'm looking for. That can definitely save you a lot of time.
Speaking of time-saving, you can now add to calendar as well. Simply take a screenshot of something that has a calendar date and now below you'll see Add to Calendar. Just a quick button. Just tap Add to Calendar. You'll see this little popup here. And then you can either edit or create that event right there. So, I'll just tap Create. It's added to the calendar just like that. So, now when I venture back over to the Calendar app, you'll see a new event added to that date and at the exact time. You can tap on that for more details. It even stores the image that was used to create the event. And that can be super handy.
So, highlight to search is super handy because say you have multiple pairs of shoes on screen, for instance. Which one is it going to search for? All you do is just highlight like that. And now you can search for that specific thing and really get granular results from a screenshot. I can do the same thing with this white pair down here and it pulls that up just like that.
You can also query ChatGPT regarding on-screen content. So, I can say something simple like, "Sort these shoes by release date," and ChatGPT will hopefully do its thing. There you go. Sorted by release date from oldest to newest blah blah blah blah blah. So, that you can kind of see how that could be super helpful for quick actions.
Now, notification summaries also comes to all apps, or comes back to all apps, I should say. You know, there was that controversy where they actually eliminated news and entertainment from notification summaries, but now they're back with the disclaimer that the meaning of the original headlines may change. Please verify the information.
Shortcuts gains several new intelligent actions. For instance, you now have the ability to use one of the three models for your query. So, go to Apple Intelligence and you'll find the new action for Use Model. So, you can choose between Cloud, On-Device, or ChatGPT. So, Private Cloud Compute, On-Device, or the ChatGPT extension. So, I'll say Use ChatGPT and then you can put your request below. But you can also just tap right here and switch between the three models just like that. So, if I want to use Cloud, I can do that. Let's go ahead and use our extension though. And I'll just type in my query. Simple: count to 10. Use ChatGPT. Play it back. There you go. So, you can see how that can be super handy as well.
There's also Visual Intelligence. So, really simple. It just opens up the Visual Intelligence interface like that. And then there's Image Playground. So, this allows you to go in and create an image of whatever is in your description. And you can choose your various styles. And these styles can also be the new ChatGPT styles that we'll talk about in a little bit. You can add a photo, save it to Playground, etc. So, I'm going to say, "Create an image of a boat." Let's go ahead and do it. And there's our boat.
And finally, you have intelligent actions writing tools. So, this allows you to perform all those various things like adjust the tone of text or proofread, etc. So, we'll just say adjust the tone of text. So, I'll say, "Make whatever text I have in here." And I can use a variable if I want to. "Jackie went to the store and had a terrible time finding eggs." Let's change the tone to friendly. And then we'll just play that back. And oh no, Jackie had a rough time hunting for eggs at the store. All right.
So, Image Playground gains several new features as well, including the ability to have mixed emoji. So, you can combine multiple emoji together. Just choose Gen Emoji. And now we're going to go in here and just select an emoji and then select another. So, we'll select the grimacing emoji and we'll add the little squiggly eye emoji together and it creates that one just like that. And then you can just add that to your list of emoji. And then you can add expressions and attributes to emoji as well. So, I'll just say "with glasses." So, this little friendly face with glasses and see what we get here. There you go. What do you guys think about that?
Now, with iOS 26, you get several new ChatGPT styles. And in addition to animation, illustration, and sketch, you get these five ChatGPT styles: oil painting, watercolor, vector, anime, and print. Or you can choose any style, but I chose anime. So, I'm just going to add my image there. Send that to ChatGPT. So, basically, I want an image or an anime version of me. There you go. And you can take it a step further. You can actually add personal attributes for people's images. So, I'm going to say "red sport coat." Same image, same anime style. Let's see what we get. So, there you go. Similar with the red sport coat. And then you can also have custom facial expressions. And this is where it gets funny. I'm going to actually choose an oil painting. Want to go with something that may be in the Louvre. Frowning. Okay. Red sport coat. My image. Frowning. Oil painting. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Wow. Wow. Wow. That That is something, let me tell you. That's something right there. We're definitely going to save that one. And man, I might just actually make that my avatar across social media. That is Wow. That is outrageously horrific. That's downright scary. Thumbs up for that, folks. Thumbs up for that right there.
Now, you also have integration with messages backgrounds. This is really cool as well. So, you can go into your Messages settings for each individual conversation. You'll see Playground right there. And you have some suggestions. It will actually suggest some Playground images for your background. But you can go in here and create your own. And I'll just say "snowy" just to keep it simple and easy. Go ahead and confirm that. And there we go. So, we have our new snowy background. That's what it looks like. You can swipe through and choose black and white, natural, dual tone, color wash. Let's keep it black and white. And there we go. So, now here's our background. Just like that. Complete with my horrific watercolor self-portrait.
So, the Messages app gets tons of new features in iOS 26, starting with updated conversation details. So, when you go into conversation details, you have your background, your photos, your links, your locations, all that broken down on individual sections here. And you have documents as well. So, that's all been updated in iOS 26.
Low-key, this is one of my favorite new iOS 26 features. The ability to select individual text in a message bubble. Previously, you would have to copy all the text, then go in, delete what you didn't want. That's super annoying. But now in 26, all you do is long press on a bubble like this and select "Select" right here. There you go. So, now you can go in and choose the exact phrase or sentence or word that you want. Just like that. Saves you a lot of time that way.
And now you get typing indicators for groups. Never understood why this wasn't a thing up until now, but it's super nice to finally have it. Speaking of groups, you now have Apple Cash for groups. So, previously, if you had a group message, you couldn't even invoke Apple Cash. Now, you can do so and choose your recipient just like that. Let's go ahead and send Ducky some money. Got him rolling in the dough.
And there's a new add contact button in groups for unknown numbers. So, I just tap Add like that and you can create a new contact right there from the message thread, which is handy. Ducky. And it updates right there within the thread just like that. And of course, I showed you this earlier, but you have backgrounds. So, the cool thing about backgrounds in iOS 26 is that it updates for all parties involved. And it's not just image playgrounds that you can use as backgrounds. You can use photos from your photo library if you want to do that. So, here's a photo. And of course, you can swipe through and choose natural, duo tone, color wash, crop in if you want to. So, that's really nice. And you can see where it says "You changed the background." So, the other person or persons will be alerted when that background changes. And of course, the other person can change the background as well. Or you can use one of these preset color backgrounds. So, you have custom stone, carbon, lime, magenta, tangerine, bubblegum, cherry. Here's a sky background. So, you have the various styles for that. And you have water and aurora as well. So, there's water and here's aurora, but I like this one because it has turtles, of course.
So, polls is also a new feature in iOS 26's Messages app. So, you just add a poll like that, add the choices that you want, and everyone in that thread can vote on their choice. So, if you want to vote about where to go on vacation or what to eat for lunch, you can easily do so and have it presented for you right there within that Messages app thread.
Now, one of the big things to come to iOS 26 is the ability to screen and filter unwanted stuff. In this case, unwanted messages. So, if you go to Message Filtering, that's going to take you to the Messages settings. But what we really want to focus here is screening unknown senders. So, this will hide notifications and move messages to the unknown senders list. So, it's a little bit different than the filtering because I have spam filtering on there for obvious spam messages. But, if you turn on screen unknown senders, then that's going to basically put those messages in an unknown folder or unknown senders folder. So, anyone that's unknown is automatically going to be put there and that's where they're going to be.
Now, you also have filters. So, text filters, you can allow personal transactions or promotional filters if you want to do that. But then you have to go in and turn on the actual text message filter like this. And now when you do that, you're going to see all those various filters for transactions. So, if I tap transactions, those break down to further filters, but you also have, of course, like I showed you earlier, spam and promotions. Or you can filter by unread if you want to. Let's go back to message filtering.
And another thing that you can filter is draft messages. So, if you're composing a message, you haven't finished it yet, you'll find those under drafts. There's also natural language search. So, I'll just say something like "palm tree photos" and it finds photos of a palm tree just like that.
Now, speaking of photos, the Photos app gets an updated layout. And this is a much, much, much needed updated layout where it brings you tabs back. So, you have your Library tab and your Collections tab. So, it doesn't try to combine them all. Great. And you have spatial scenes. So, I kind of previewed this with our lock screen, which you could have right there on the lock screen, your spatial wallpaper. But you also can do this within the Photos app itself just by tapping the little spatial button. And now I have a spatial scene which I can view right here. And like I said, it separates the foreground from the background and gives you a little bit of a 3D depth animation when you move your phone around like that. So, it just brings that
photo alive. Don't need any sort of 3D headset to do so. Pretty cool.
You can even kind of tell right here from this video. The Files app gets some great updates, including resizable columns with various metadata. So if I go to list view, you can see the various columns there. Look how I can resize those. Very finder-like. A welcomed addition to the files app.
You can also add additional categories in here to sort by. And you can drag those categories around just like you can in Finder. Yeah, I'm definitely going to use this a lot, especially on the iPad.
And another thing that makes the Files app much more usable on iOS 26 is the ability to have nested folders. So, I don't have to keep drilling down and then losing my place where I am. I can just use the disclosure triangle next to each folder and drill down that way while still staying at the root level folder, which is just beyond handy. I can't tell you how handy this is going to be, especially if you're an iPad OS 26 user. I won't say the files app was unusable before, but not having the ability to nest folders was really an oversight, and I'm glad they put that in there.
There's also a two-up view and landscape here on the iPhone. So you have your favorites and all your various locations on that side with your files on the opposite side.
And now you can customize folders within iOS 26. Just long press, select customize. You can add various glyphs to the folder if you want to do that. You can even add an emoji. And you can even color the folder. Not just a tag, although it is a tag, but that tag basically colors the entire folder. Just like that. So now, let's go go ahead and switch to icon view so you can see that ducky folder a little bit better. Yeah, and that definitely makes the ducky folder stand out.
And here's another feature that we've been needing for a while. Pro users will appreciate this, the ability to select a default app for file types. So I can say open with iMovie or open with lumafusion for this particular video. Just like that. So I know how it's opening.
And all these changes really bring the files app closer to that of the finder with obvious features that we've been missing like open with support. But not just that. If you right-click or sorry long press and select get info, you can select always open with as well. So you can choose if I want to always open with iMovie or lumafusion. You can choose only this file or all of that particular file type if you want to across the board. So now whenever I open up an impeg 4 movie file that's going to open up in Lumafusion.
The phone app gets several new updates including this one which is sure to be popular. Brand new ringtones. And these new ringtones are basically all remixes of the default reflection tone. And these remixes are actually pretty good.

The phone app gets a brand new unified layout which combines things like favorites and recents and voicemail all into a single tab calleds. So let's go ahead and show you how to set that up. So all you do is under recents here just tap the more button in the upper right hand corner and then choose where it says unified and you can see what happens here. Combines those sections into a new calls tab. And like messages you have the various filtering options in here. We'll talk about that in just a second. But really, the calls tab is nice because it combines everything that you would need like your recent calls, your voicemails, even voicemail transcripts right there within a tab and you can just view everything.
You also have the ability to screen unknown callers. So you can choose never ask the reason for calling. So calls from unsaved numbers will be asked for more information before it rings. And you can just silence those unknown numbers as well. It'll be sent to voicemail and displayed on the recent call list. So, that's cool. And it's even taken a step further. We'll talk about that a little bit later.
Speaking of the unknown calls list, there is these call filtering option for unknown callers. Miss calls and voicemail from unknown numbers will be placed there right with the unknown callers. And when you open that up, you can view that caller and then mark as known if you want to.
Hold assist will automatically detect when you're placed on hold and then it will notify you when it's time to pick up. This is a really cool feature. If you're ever sitting on hold just waiting and waiting, just tap your more button and then you'll see hold assist. Tap that and now you'll see holding call. You'll be notified when to pick up the call. So it waits there and you can see what they're saying and you can pick up to reply just like that. The cool thing you're notified so you don't have to sit there and wait.
And live reply works in concert with the ask reason for calling option. And live reply basically allows you to send a message directly back to the person who's being screened. So you can see here there's a whole conversation. Hi, if you record your name and reason for calling, I'll see if this person is available. You can say send more information or I can't talk right now or I'll call you back later. Telemarketers hate this one trick.
And now you can share play directly from a phone call. Doesn't have to be a FaceTime call. So here, share play. Go ahead and tap that. And we'll just share what we're playing in the music app. So share playing right now loading that. And you can see one listener. So if you want to share, you don't feel like being on a FaceTime call, it's a lot easier here in iOS 26.
And now when you share your name and photo, you get new monogram styles. Previously it was very very basic, but now you can go in here, add various fonts and colors, really switch it up a bit just to make it a little bit more spicy. Previously was pretty boring, but now you have a lot more options for your monogram. Just like that.
Now, let's talk about FaceTime because there's a new home screen. Nothing overly exciting, but you get a new card-based interface showing you whether it's a video or audio FaceTime call. And the FaceTime app now gets the ability to silence unknown callers. So, calls from unknown numbers will be silenced, sent to voicemail, and displayed on the recent list. And FaceTime gets a welcome sensitive content warning feature that can detect things like nudity, so you can block those things out. And now, like you could with contacts and messages, you can do so with FaceTime.
The music app gets some really cool features in iOS 26. Starting with the ability to pin your favorite music at the top of the interface of your library. So, you just select pin album after long pressing on an album or a playlist or even a song. And then you have download pins. These will automatically download when a particular piece of music or an album is pinned to your library. It will start that download. And here you can see I have a playlist pinned. You can have up to six pinned items. And if I want to unpin something, you just select unpin playlist or unpin album. But here's individual songs. Like I said, you can long press and pin that song as well. And then when you tap on that song in your list of pins, it'll just take you to the album directly to that song highlighted.
And the music app gets new home screen widgets for pins. So in the music section of the widget picker, you'll see pins, a large version and a medium version. So you can just add that directly to your home screen. Go ahead and add that in there. So I can always see what's pinned and that will dynamically change based on my pinned items. And I can just tap there. It takes me right to the music app. Really nice new feature. And of course, let me show you that medium version as well.
And automix is one of the cooler new features for iOS 26 music app. This will basically mix songs together. And it'll do so by beat matching the song. So basically, it'll slow down the song to match the upcoming song or the next playing song and match the beat of that. It's not perfect, and I can't actually let you hear it because of copyright, but the idea is that it makes the transitions between two songs that much more natural. Instead of just fading in and fading out two songs, it will work more like a DJ tried to match the tempo of the upcoming song during that transition. and then readjust to its actual tempo.
And you get lyric translation and pronunciation in the music app in iOS 26. So, here's Hickey. I'm going to go ahead and view the lyrics there. And you see this little button here that allows you to show or hide translation or show or hide pronunciation. Translation isn't available here, but you do get pronunciation with these Japanese characters. So if you don't read Japanese hiragana, you're not going to know what that actually or how that's pronounced. But if you select pronunciation, then it gives you the Roman pronunciation of the Japanese kanji in hiragana. So it doesn't support every language yet, but here with like Spanish, you have the ability to show translation. It's not going to show pronunciation, but you can show the translation so you know exactly what is being said by that artist. And now that you know what they're actually saying, yeah, it's pretty eye-opening.
And you get native Apple Music replay. So basically, this will go back in time and tell you what you were listening to in various years and even individual months of those various years. Previously, this was an online only thing, but now this is native within the Apple Music app, which is definitely an improvement, I would say, not to have to go externally, but to be able to view this right from the music app itself.
And playlist folders was previously something you could only do on the Mac, but now in iOS, you can actually add a folder and add various playlists to that folder for better sorting. So, it's not just a whole list of playlists, but now you can actually sort them in a more intelligent way. So, you simply drag the playlist over into the folder. So, here's that folder, random. I'm going to go back out. Let's drag another playlist over there. So, we'll just take beat, drag it, drop it over to random. And now I have two playlists in random. And I can view both of those. and I can view it as a grid view as well.
Now, let's talk about the new camera features in iOS 26. It starts with the refreshed camera wheel, which presents the video and photo options as the main options and then of course you can scroll through to select other options. And the thinking behind this is that most people are using either video or photo the majority of the time, so it focuses on those two.
Now, there's also some new camera control options if you own an iPhone with the camera control button. That allows you, of course, to do things like zoom or change your depth of field or change your exposure or switch cameras or styles or tone. You can do that with that camera control button on the side of the phone. But now in iOS 26, there's some options to customize the various camera control features. So, if you go to settings, camera, camera control, you'll see under controls, customize, and there you'll see at the top light press and swipe. That's taken actually from the accessibility settings and just migrated here. And then below that, you see controls, which includes exposure, depth, zoom, camera style, and tone. So, you can uncheck those, those that you don't want to appear at all, and then you can use the drag handles to rearrange. So if you want certain things to appear in a certain order, you can do just that. So just zoom and cameras is all I had on there now. So you can see there's the zoom. And if I press a little harder, I can go all the way back out and there's the cameras option. So just those two options are configured now.
And you also get HD recording using AirPods. So, if you open the camera app and switch over to video mode and then open up control center and then tap the camera control, you'll see the input. You can switch that input over to AirPods Pro and now you get HD audio recording with AirPods Pro and you will notice that it definitely makes a difference in terms of sound quality. So, I'm recording a test here with the AirPods and then I'm going to perform a test without the AirPods Pro. Let's go ahead and just go back to our main iPhone input with our microphone and let's record this. And then we're going to play it back and I'm going to let you hear the difference between the two. And you should be able to notice a pretty stark difference between AirPods and the internal microphone. So, here's what it sounds like when I record with AirPods Pro using HD audio recording via AirPods. And here's what it sounds like when I record audio via the built-in microphone on the iPhone. Can you tell the difference?
You can also use your AirPods to control the camera app remotely in iOS 26. So, in the settings for AirPods, you'll see camera remote. You can set it to press once or press and hold. The only thing you want to keep in mind though is that whatever you set is going to basically reduce the functionality of your AirPods. So if you select press once, media control gestures will be unavailable. And if you select press and hold, that eliminates noise control gesture. So you just have to pick which one you can live without. So now here in the camera app, I just press my AirPod and it starts the countdown and takes a photo like that.
And in camera settings, you'll find a new indicator section. And if you go in there, you can control which indicators are displayed for photo and video. So for photo, you got flash and live photo, video action mode. So here are the indicators here in the upper right hand corner. So we're going to turn those off now. And you can see those indicators go away. Of course, you can still either hit this option button or swipe up to access those various controls down here.
Dirty lenses can result in very poor quality photos. So you now in iOS 26, you get lens cleaning reminders in the stock camera app and you now have an option to save messages, captures to the photo library. So say I take uh a photo within messages and I send that, that same photo will be saved to your photo library. But if we go over to the camera settings and scroll all the way down under messages, you're going to see save captures to photo library. You can disable that and it will prevent those messages or those photos that you send in messages from saving automatically to the photo library.
[Music] So you see nothing's saved.
The journal app gets some really much needed features including the ability to add multiple journals. So I already added one. Let's add another one. We'll call it animals. You can update it with a glyph. You can change the color of the journal. You can, of course, go back in and edit here. So, we'll just long press, edit journal, change the color. There's our animals journal. Let's add a new entry. I love frogs. They're the best. Okay, let's go back. So, you see that that in the animals journal there along with the flowers journal. So, those are two separate journals from my main journal.
You also get inline image support in the journal app. now. So, we're just going to add an image into my animals journal entry. Find one. I love frogs, so let's find something frog related hopefully. How about this one? So, there we go. Picture of a frog. Okay. So, the nice thing now inline images, you have this little drag handle. You can drag that around to resize the image. and you'll see that the text wraps around that image. Not the smoothest operator currently, but it's nice to have the option to move those images around and keep your text wrapped around.
If you're a world traveler who likes to journal while traveling, you'll love the new maps feature for entries based on location. And yes, indeed, you now have iPad and Mac versions of the journal app, plus syncing.
The Notes app gets a new adaptive toolbar. So, we'll open that up. and based on wherever your cursor is, it'll adapt that toolbar automatically. So, watch watch here. I'm going to just highlight some text. And you see the toolbar automatically scroll over to the text formatting section because it thinks you may need to either bold or italicize or whatever the case may be.
And now you can export individual notes in markdown format. So, export as markdown and that'll save it to the files app. And that makes these journal entries or sorry journal these notes entries very transportable to any other app that supports markdown. You can easily import these in any markdown enabled app.
And one of my favorite new features, not an iOS feature per se, but you get the notes app in watch OS 26 which is super nice to be able to quickly view the notes that you may have created on your phone or you can even create notes directly from the watch app itself. But it's just really nice to have that to be able to reference those notes. I can't tell you how many times I've wanted this and now we got it.
Several noteworthy updates come to reminders in iOS 26. For instance, the ability to automatically categorize a list. So, you see this list of just random things or seemingly random things. You got basketball players, soccer players, video game characters, fruit, technology, computers, right? So, you just go up to the more button, you select autocategorize. It is going to use Apple intelligence to hopefully come up with some relevant categories for all these guys and place them in their rightful place. But we already see a problem. Ronaldo and Messi are not basketball players. Fruits looks good. Video game characters looks good. And then you have Mbappe under others. So let's turn that off. Let's give it another go cuz it may not always get it right on the first go. Sometimes you may have to massage it a bit. So Apple products looks good. Basketball Legends looks good. football stars, everything but Mario. And then you have fruits. Yeah. So, that looks a little bit better, but still needs a little bit fixing with the football stars there.
And you can also suggest tasks, grocery items, etc. So, I'm going to go over here and export this note to reminders, and it's going to automatically provide suggestions based on what's in that note to set as a reminder. So, I can choose any of these. Just hit the little plus button. and it will add that as a reminder both of those in there. All right, so let's switch back to reminders. And there you can see the reminders based on those notes entries.
And now you have quick reminders. So now you can go in to control center, add a control, search for reminders, and then select new reminder. And now you have quick reminder. So, you just tap the new reminder button and bam, a quick reminder that you can enter from anywhere. You can use your action button if you want to. You can add that to the home screen as a lock screen control.
There's also time zone override for individual entries. So, for this detail, when you select a time, you can override the time with the time zone. So, we'll just put in Pacific Standard. And when you go back to the list, you'll see that time zone override listed next to that individual reminder.
The wallet app gains some new features like the ability to save credit card details, physical credit card details that is directly to a virtual credit card. So here, if I go down and I select card information and verify, now I can add physical card information. And that's super helpful because previously I would use something like one password to hold those physical card details. Now I can add those directly to the wallet app to make those details very easy to retrieve when I happen to need them. And sometimes you just have to have these physical details to get things done.
And then there's order tracking powered by Apple intelligence. So if we go to orders here, this will actually pull these details automatically from mail and it will surface these things within the wallet app under the order section.
And now you can disable promotional notifications. So if you go to the more button, select notifications at the bottom, you will see offers and promotions, you can now disable that. So yeah, that's caused some controversy in the past. Nice to be able to get rid of that.
The maps app gains a new visited places feature that will automatically surface places that you visited previously. So, we'll go into places visited places. It's in beta currently. And now you can see when I scroll down here, I recently went to San Diego. So, that surfaces that. And there's other visited places that it will surface as well. This will definitely come in handy when you're just trying to think about the place you went and you couldn't remember. Well, now you can just go right back into the maps app and find that.
And there's some new incident report types. So, if we go to report an incident, now you'll find all these crash, speed check, traffic, road work, hazard, and road closure.
Safari gets a pretty big visual change with an all-new tab design. And of course, you get liquid glass incorporated into all that as well. So you can see on the right side, that's iOS 26. On the left side, iOS 18. And if you venture over to Safari settings, you're going to find this new compact tab bar option. So you can see right now it's set to compact. And basically bottom is now what tab bar was previously in iOS 18. And single tab is now called top. So, if we switch back over to bottom, you're going to see they look similar, but of course, you still have the liquid glass with the rounded corners and all that, but basic similar functionality there. So, let's go back and switch over to compact on iOS 26. And you'll see the difference is that it loses that bottom portion of the tab bar. So, there's no new tab button that's immediately surfaced or no share button or bookmark button. But the great thing about Safari, there's tons of gestures like this gesture right here to easily access your tabs. And there are other gestures that you can use within Safari as well. But if you tap the more button, there's all the other stuff that was previously available on that bottom tab bar in iOS 18.
And in iOS 26, advanced fingerprint protection is enabled by default for all browsing sessions, not just private browsing sessions. So here's how it normally is previously under privacy in the advanced section. Now you can set that to all browsing. So this will try to uh reduce the amount of trackers and fingerprinting done to track your browsing habits. And this will apply of course to all browsing not just private browsing.
And Safari in iOS 26 comes with a web app improvement. So now when you go and select share and you select add to home screen, it'll give you an option to open this website as a web app. See open as web app. And when you do that, you get some of the benefits that normal applications enjoy. So let's go ahead and add that. There it is on the home screen. So we'll go ahead and open that up. And you can see it'll just take you directly to electric's website as its own standalone application. But notice it also appears in the app switcher as well, separate from Safari with its own cookies, etc.
And now you get HDR images support natively within Safari. So you can see these are HDR images here on the right in iOS 26 and on the left you see the difference. Not nearly as much dynamic range here on iOS 18 as iOS 26.
And the App Store gains new nutrition labels for accessibility. So now you can easily find out if an app has accessibility supported features. This one does. Voice over, larger text, voice control, dark interface, etc. And you can go in and tap and find out more information about those individual settings.
There's also expanded age ratings. So now you see the age ratings on iOS 18 on the left. On the right, it's a lot more granular. Really tells you that it contains things like loot boxes, advertising, messaging, and chat, etc.
And if you're an iCloud Mail user, you'll appreciate the new iCloud mail cleanup feature that you can access via the settings and you see the ability to clean up promotions, unsubscribe recommendations, and you can tap see more in settings. And if you go to the mail settings under iCloud, you'll be able to see iCloud mail cleanup, which gives you even more detailed information. So, you can unsubscribe. You have those recommendations, cleanup promotions, cleanup updates, cleanup transactions, and you can tap those and get recommendations on what to do. For instance, unsubscribe. It'll actually tell you what it suggests that you unsubscribe from. So, I get a lot of those Fubu Fubo, I almost said Fubu, Fubo alerts. Get rid of those. And then you can do things like clean up promotions. It'll tell you the action to take, the status, the age, and how many messages are affected.
