I realize that TikTok is a right-wing propaganda machine, much like Facebook, Instagram, and definitely Twitter, especially now with their Hitler bot that causes the CEO to resign. And we really knew that TikTok was absolutely a right-wing propaganda machine. When Donald Trump praised it, he said it helped him get elected. We saw the CEO of TikTok sit behind Trump at the deis. He had a big party for Trumper tick-tockers. Uh, yeah. Like if TikTok is not a mouthpiece, a propaganda machine of the alt-right, then why would TikTok throw a party specifically for MAGA influencers on this app?
So, it never surprises me, you know, they're always [ __ ] with the algorithm. It never surprises me when I log on and suddenly my algorithm has shifted and I'm fed a lot of like right-wing propaganda. It's always for me it's a lot of like like Mormon mommy blogger types who have their like bleach blonde hair and they have their Republican makeup and they are spouting some kind of conspiracy theory nonsense or they're saying something that's like vaguely transphobic. That's what I tend to get a lot of. But sometimes I'll get MAGA farmers in my feed because I I follow a lot of agricultural TikTok. But you know like the last two days, you know what I'm seeing a ton of from MAGA in my feed. And to be clear, these are MAGA influencers. They post content like this. You guys know what time it is. You know those Democrats tried to convict them yesterday. You know we got your back Trump 2024 playboy. They're like legit real deal MAGA the last few days.
Um, well, let me show you what that guy who posted that a few years ago said yesterday. This is all going in the trash. I do not support Trump anymore. He's a liar. He's a part of the deep state. I do not support Israel. I will not be supporting him anymore. He's part of the deep state. He's committing genocide as we speak in Israel. And we all need to start waking up. I'm not going to lie. When that guy came through my FYP, it kind of made my day. Now, people in the comments are kind of hitting him with a mixed bag of reactions, right? He and so many other MAGA are realizing that Trump lied to them. And not only that, but like he might be part of the deep state. He might be part of the system and the problem that they blame for making everything in this country terrible, right? This nebulous deep state that they blame for all of their problems. Well, when they're not blaming like immigrants or people in poverty or black folks or trans folks, it's like this deep state conspiracy that they really believe in. They can't wrap their brains around the fact that it's like just a bunch of super rich [ __ ] right? It's just a bunch of billionaires with a bunch of money to throw around. That's that's why we're being oppressed. That's why your life sucks. But they're realizing like maybe they think Trump is part of this. Maybe he lied to them. Oh [ __ ] he did. He lied to us about the Epstein files. Like what the he lied about that. What else is he going to lie to us? What has he lied to us about? If he could lie about the Epstein files, right?
They really thought he was going to release this client list. They really cared about save the children. They wanted to protect girls from sexual exploitation. They wanted to get justice for them. They thought, you know, the deep state is hiding this client list and Donald Trump when he gets back in the White House, he's going to release it and he's going to make sure that there is justice for these girls and all of these rich deep state people are prosecuted. And they supported Cash Patel and Pam Bondi who perpetuated this idea that the Epstein files were going to get released. And now they're like, "He lied to us, y'all. We know that there's a list. We We know he's lying to us. He lied when he said he would release the list. And now he's saying there's not a list and that's also a lie. What else is he lying to us about? Have we been hoodwinkedked? Have we been fooled for years by this guy? And I am seeing more and more and more MAGA people in my feed who have come to that conclusion. The bloom is off the rose for them. They feel the bitter sense of betrayal. Not over any of the other things that he has done so far, but over the Epstein list.
Now, kudos to this guy for starting his deconstruction journey. We all have to start somewhere. Everybody who leaves MAGA has the first day that they have stepped out from that cult, right? All of these people have to begin their deconstruction somewhere. And if the Epstein client list is the thing that gets them to start to walk away and deconstruct, awesome. But in that guy's comments, he was kind of getting a mixed bag of like, are you [ __ ] kidding me? But then people who were like, "This is awesome, buddy. This is a good first step. I'm really somebody who believes in kind of like a carrot and a stick when it comes to folks like this. I don't really have any problem shaming MAGA, but I also want to reward them when they make any steps in the right direction. It's sort of like what I say with our politicians. Any measurable step in the right direction. We have to be like, "Yay, good job. Yay. Come on, do more of it. Here's a cookie. A little bit more." It's like that with MAGA, too. I don't want to discourage people. They're going to need a landing place. If they are leaving over this and they are starting to question everything that they have believed in for potentially a decade, that's that's going to take time and we have to give them someplace to go so they don't just like pivot and go down some different conspiracy theory, you know, tunnel, right? They're not going to go down some other pipeline to some other conspiracy theory. Like we can be there when they deconstruct and start to like become functional, rational people in society. I still have hope that that can happen for these folks. Just just gonna say I left the Presbyterian Church in America. Like that everybody starts from somewhere. Every one of us is on a journey and lots of us are deconstructing from really really heavy indoctrination. And for people in MAGA, they're deconstructing from a cult and often decades of church indoctrination that has stripped them of their ability to access their own intuition and good judgment. I'm sorry, my dog is barking.
But some of the people in this guy's comments, I completely agree with. They're like, "This is a great first step, dude. But also, now you need to work to repair the harm that you have caused, right? This is a good time to start demonstrating to us that you actually have changed. This is a good time to start going and you you are a great person to evangelize to other MAGA and to get them to break away. Your job now, your responsibility is to take your epiphany, your revelation, and to reach out to other MAGA and help pull them out of the cult as well. Somebody else in the comments was like, "Cool. You know what you need to do next? You need to go volunteer for a Democratic candidate's campaign, your local Democrat who's running for Congress in the midterms, go volunteer for their campaign. Go volunteer for a pro-immigrants rights group. go join your local indivisible and start advocating for democracy. We don't want just your TikTok video. We want changed behavior. We want you to work to repair the harm that you have caused. And I think that's a perfectly realistic expectation. I don't think we should shun these guys. I don't think we should shame them. I think we should encourage them to take steps in the right direction. We don't have to midwife their deconstruction from MAGM. Don't don't think that I'm saying expend that kind of labor on them. But I think it is entirely reasonable to say you need to demonstrate changed behavior. I don't have to trust you. As far as I can throw you until you have spent a long time working to repair the harm that you have done over many years, that you are absolutely repentant and you are working to make America functional again, to restore our democracy, that you are giving of your time and resources. You're using your platforms. You are advocating in any way that you can to fix this situation, right? to get us out of this nightmare that you have helped plunge us into. Totally realistic, but also like super psyched. Every time I open up this app, there's another MAGA who's like, "The Epstein files. That's it for me. Peace out. I'm done. I'm done with this shit." Starting to question everything he ever said. I feel utterly betrayed. Yes. More. More of that, please.
