So the brain grows with use. Plasticity. Whoever said that is crazy. Yet the term plasticity was already known in the medical field 40 years ago, but it was just sort of put on a back burner. Nobody really believed in it. Well, if you Google today the term plasticity, you will find close to 200,000 references in there to plasticity. Plasticity is the buzzword in academic circles and the studies of brain today. Everybody recognizes the brain has plasticity. In the clinical fields of neurology and neuroscience, plasticity has existed forever.

Now, brain development. Brain development is another issue that's a hot topic. Google that one. You're going to find close to 4 million references to brain development. Something that struck people the wrong way for many, many years is that we can make babies smarter. This has been the fibs integers philosophy for decades, and we've seen hundreds and hundreds and thousands of children go through the institutes, and so many of them get smarter and smarter and smarter. And again, the critics and the skeptics said, you can't teach a baby how to read. You can't teach your baby mathematics. And you can't teach a baby world affairs. And you can't make a baby smart. Google smart babies. 43 million references to smarter babies. Okay, everybody accepts now the babies are smart and can be made smarter and can learn. Just a lot of people don't disagree on the methods for doing it yet. Although some of the institutes' methods are seeping out there into the public, probably not the way we'd like to see them there, but a little bit is better than nothing. It's getting out there. And what greater tribute, really, to the institutes than to use institutes' techniques as though they'd been there forever and not even naming the institutes, you know, just taking it for granted that this is the way it is.

Now we have five guest speakers over the next three days. And if you go through their biographies, you recognize that these, these are all Renaissance type people. They're brilliant individuals, high level of intellectual function, multi-talented. They were probably very smart babies too. But they are, I think, going to keep us very excited during the next few days. Dr. Smith, his problem from the title of his talk, is probably going to have us vibrating in our seats later this morning. Dr. Machado is going to share with us his extensive experience on the brain and consciousness, something that's dear to all our hearts, and especially to mine. And on Friday, we have the other three speakers who I think are going to have us on the edges of our seats. And more than anything else, throughout the next three days, we're going to be mesmerized by the kids, the true Renaissance kids of today, who are all here at the institutes. Enjoy the next three days.
