Hello guys and welcome back to the channel, guys. Guys, I'm about to go start doing some cooking. All right, I'm heading to the kitchen.

On today's video, uh, we're going to be doing some cassava and dumplings boiled down in coconut milk, and we're going to be doing some fried fish. Guys, I'm feeling for cassava all week. So, that's what we're doing today. If it's your first time to the channel, don't forget to smash that thumbs up and leave a comment. All right, guys. Let's get right into the kitchen.

So guys, this is what we're working with. I have some uh fish fillets here. All right. And here's my cassava, my coconut milk, all the ingredients there on the table. So, let's start cooking.

All right, guys. So, let's start to get the cassava peel up. All right. I don't know how you guys peel your cassava, but this is how I do it. You know, you slide it down like that to make a line and then you start working it around in a circle to get the skin off. Don't mind my knife doesn't have a point. That's why I'm using it because it doesn't have a point. It's easier to peel the cassava to get the skin off from it. All right. So, it doesn't take too long. All right. So, this is going to be a really quick, easy dinner. All right. All right. You cut that part off and then you place it in the bowl.

Guys, it's really chilly today. We're not having much sun today. Today is kind of overcast. It's gloomy. It's raining outside. Well, it was raining earlier, but the rain stopped. All right. Hey, Reds. Big up yourself, Reds. Reds. There are no vegetables in this pot now. So, I don't think you will want to eat this pot out of this pot. Right guys? Yes, guys.

So, I have a few items here I want to cut up to put in the um in the dish as well. I have a piece of pumpkin here, or you can call it squash. All right. Similar to pumpkin. I have two onions, and I have some scallion and some okra. All right. Hey, David, big up yourself, David. David, I know you do like okra, but okra is the thing. All right. Here we go with this. Cut it down like that, straight down the middle, and just cut it up in some small cubes. I know it have a little bit of membrane there, guys, but don't worry about that. It have no seeds in this part. And the membrane is good as well. So, right, cut them in big cubes like that. Not too small. This will help flavor up the pot really nice going on. Big up yourself, Kisha. All right, guys. It put the pumpkin. Then start cutting up this onion. And I want to get a flat base so I can rest the onion flat. All right. The onion going in hole just like that, guys. That would just help to distribute the flavor more cuz when it cook, it go start to melt down into small pieces. So, I'm not really cutting it up fine. I'm just cutting it into cubes. All right. Like that. All right. And then the scallion. I have a few scallion here. Everything was already washed. All right. So, I just cutting them up. This is just a flavor of the pot, guys. Only thing I don't have is a hot pepper, which would have done really good in this dish, but I don't have any hot pepper. So, I'm going to just add some scorpion pepper. I have a lot of that. The sauce that is. All right.

All right, guys. So, everything is chopped up. So, that's it. So, now let's get the pot on and start adding the coconut milk. Yes, guys. So, now I'm going to add the um coconut milk. All right, there it is, guys. I added the coconut cream, which is this. All right. And as soon as uh the coconut milk start boiling, I'm going to add the seasoning and the other stuff inside. Let me just add some water to it. All right, that's it, guys. So, as soon as that starts boiling up, I'm going to add the pumpkin and the other ingredients. And then I'm going to do the dumplings and put them in first because the cassava doesn't take long to cook. Cassava maybe takes 5 minutes to to cook, you know. So, I'm going to put the dumplings first and then the cassava after. All right. So, stay tuned and watch the process.

Yes, guys. So, now the coconut milk starts to boil. So, I'm now going to add the veggies that I cut up earlier. I'm going to go in with the onions first. Matter of fact, let me just slide everything in. And guys, I have the okras here as you can see. All right. They are very tiny okras, but they will do what they were meant to do. All right, okras will help thicken up the um the gravy as it boils down. Okay, I'm going to add those in. All right. And then I'm going to move on now to mix in the flour, guys. If you smell this, it's smelling nice. It smells awesome. All right, guys.

So, time to start mixing in the flour. So, I'm going to go in with some flour. All right. Okay, that's enough flour. And for anybody in the chat who's wondering why am I using a frying pan or skillet to mix the flour, the simple reason is that nothing sticks to the skillet because it's a nonstick uh it's a non-stick skillet. So normally when I mix the flour in this uh skillet, nothing sticks to the skillet. So I get all the flour. So nothing waste. Okay? Or nothing is wasted if you want to call it that. All right, so I just added a teaspoon of salt to the flour and now I'm going to add some water and just mix everything and bring everything into a bowl. All right, these are going to be the flour dumplings that will be placed in the coconut milk. Hey, Winstone, what going on, bro? Big up yourself, Winstone. Auntie G, my favorite auntie. Big up yourself, Auntie. But they realize all they ain't seen Christina. You know, Christina will show up as soon as I finish cook. She will show up and want to tell me how much dumpling she want. And you know, you know the usual thing. If you realize guys, nothing is sticking on the sides of the pan. Nothing is sticking underneath of on the bottom of the pan either. So, I'm getting all the flour used. Nothing will be wasted. Okay guys, so that's it. You see that's it flour. I leave it to sit for about 5 minutes and then I start rolling them out. So stay tuned.

Yeah, guys. So, now I'm going to start um seasoning up the fish while the uh coconut milk is boiling away there. So, now we're going to add some uh garlic powder to the fish. All right. Plenty garlic powder because I want it to taste really spicy. I want to get all them flavors inside there. Right. Then I'm going to go in with some black pepper. Not too much um seasoning, guys, because I have to season the flour before I fry it. So then the flour will have most of the um spices. All right. Then I go in with some salt. Maybe two teaspoons is good. Yeah. And then I'm going to go in with some green seasoning. I have some green seasoning in this jar that I made. All right. Homemade green seasoning. Let me get a teaspoon. See, it's green seasoning. I don't know if you could see properly properly. Oh, my words fighting me in the jar. I'm going to go in. See, this is it. I'm going to go in with two teaspoons of green seasoning. Guys, I don't know how you do your seasoning of meats, but if you're from the Caribbean, in the Caribbean, we have to properly well season our meats to cook. All right, we season them up properly. All right, it's a Caribbean thing. All right, now I'm going to just proceed to rub all of that good flavors into the fish and then leave it to soak or to to soak up all the seasoning that was placed here. Just rub everything together. Looks like it needs some more seasoning though, but I'm going to add some more. All right, you just rub up everything and you leave it to soak. And while it's soaking, we will go and put the dumplings in the pot. All right, I don't want to put too much, guys, because I still have to put in the flour. All right, so this is the fish. All right. And the name of that fish, that filt is um, let me check the name. It's called uh pang pangas. Pangasu is the name of the filt. All right, so stay tuned, guys.

Okay, guys. So, time to add the dumplings. Dumpries are going to be small, guys. Not too big, you know, about this size. Very small. All right. So, finish the flour off. And then I roll it like this. Into a ball. All right, guys. And then press it. Press it like that. All right. Very small. Not too huge. And some of this flour I want to break down as well and make some spinners. All right. All right. Spinners. You just pinch a little piece of the flour off like this. Put it in your hand and you roll it like that. And you get spinners. That's what we call spinners. All right. A little pinch of the flour. Put it in your hand and you roll it like this. And there you have another spinner. All right. There are many ways you could do it. You could do it like this as well and just get it into a wheel shape like circle. All right. So, stay tuned, guys. Catch you when I'm putting in the cassava.

Yes, guys. So, time to add the cassava. All right. So, now I'm going to add the cassava. So, you could fairly say that this pot is almost finished. All right. So, the last item on the dish is the fish to fry the fish. So after this, we'll go and get the flour base ready. And then when you see me again, it's time to fry the fish. And then we will sit down and have some food and enjoy it and tell you how delicious it tastes. I have to add a little bit of water to the pan. But if you have to add water, guys, always add hot water. All right. Just a little bit. That's to help the cassava to cook. All right. And also this gravy will be very, very good with the fish as well. All right. Cutting them into small cubes, guys, because they don't take really long to to cook. I know Christina go enjoy this. I know. Christina, I love cassava. Boy, she love cassava more than me, guys. And the only thing was added to this uh dish, I added some salt and black pepper. All right, that's all. The onions and everything will give it a nice flavor. I'm going to add some scorpion pepper as well. You know, I have my scorpion pepper here. See scorpion. I forgot to buy actual pepper. So I'm going to be using some of the scorpion. Let me see how much to put. That enough man. That is enough. That is too much as it is. All right. So let me add some salt. All right. And then I'm going to add some black pepper. So, I added two two teaspoons of salt. And now I'm going to add some black pepper to the mix. And that's it, guys. You just leave that to boil down. And that's it for that dish.

Yes, guys. So, time to start to flour up the fish. Right. The other pot finished already. So, let me add the flour first. I'm not going to add too much because as we go along I will add um flour. If I run out of flour I will add more flour. I don't want to put too much and then waste it. All right. And I go in with some salt again to the flour. And then I have a spicy rub here. I'm going to just add some to the flour. All right. And then I'm going to add a little bit of curry powder. That will give it the color, guys. Curry pow powder would change the color. All right. I go in with some curry powder. Okay. And I mix it up. Mixed up. Mixed up. Mixed up. Mixed up. Mixed up. Mixed up. All right, guys. So, the pot getting hot. Let me add some oil to the pot. All right. What again I should add to this flour? I'm going to go in with some um, let me see. I'll add some lime pepper to it. I have some lime pepper here. So, I'll just add a little bit of lime pepper, you know, to it. All right, that's enough. And then I start adding the fish. All right. It's going to taste really nice, guys. Hey, Cheryl. Big up yourself, Cheryl. All right. All right, guys. And then I'm going to place these in the oil to fry two pieces at a time. Because if you put too much in the pan at the same time, the oil is going to lose temperature. All right? So, only two pieces at a time. All right? So, stay tuned, guys.

All right, guys. Time to add the fish. Yes guys, you see how nice it is looking. So these two piece ready to come out. So I just let it drain a bit. Let the oil drain a bit. All right, I have the plate here, guys. Look at it, guys. Isn't that beautiful? I know. I just know I'm going to have fun eating these. Okay. Oo, this one broke. And you see it's already cooked, guys. Look at the inside. Look at that. M. All right, guys. Time to add two more piece to the pan.
