Pastors quote, "God opposes [music] the proud" every Sunday to keep you small, but they are using James 4:6 out of context, and it is a demonic strategy to stop you from walking in kingdom authority. I am about to show you what biblical [music] humility actually means, and it is the opposite of what you have been taught. Listen to me carefully. What I am about to share with you [music] in the next 25 minutes is going to shatter a religious prison that has kept you silent, passive, and powerless for years.
You have been told that humility means shrinking back, never speaking boldly, never claiming your covenant rights, always deferring, always doubting whether [music] you are worthy enough to approach the throne. That is not humility. That is a satanic counterfeit designed to keep the [music] body of Christ in bondage.
This is a teaching from the E.W. Kenyon revelation tradition, and before we are finished, you are going to see exactly how the enemy has weaponized one verse to neutralize an entire generation of believers [music] who were supposed to be ruling and reigning in this earth. The truth I am about to unveil has been in the word all along, but it has been buried under layers of religious tradition [music] that have inoculated you against the very power that Jesus died to give you.
Let me tell you why you have been struggling. It is not [music] because you lack faith. It is not because you are not praying enough. It is because you have been operating under a false definition of humility that was [music] handed to you by a religious system that benefits when you stay small.
Think about it. Who benefits when you never speak boldly? >> [music] >> The devil. Who benefits when you never claim your healing? The sickness. Who benefits when you never declare financial blessing? The poverty spirit that has been stealing from you for years.
Every time you were about to step out in boldness, every time you were about to speak the word with authority, every time you were about to lay hands on the sick or take dominion over a financial curse, a little voice whispered in your ear, "Who do you think you are? That is pride. You need to humble yourself. God opposes the proud." And you backed down. You swallowed your words. You went back to [music] begging instead of enforcing. You went back to hoping instead of declaring. And the enemy smiled. Because he knows that a believer who will not open their mouth is a believer who cannot enforce the [music] victory that Jesus already won.
You have been told that humility is silence. The Bible says humility is submission to God's word. And God's word commands you to open your mouth [music] and speak.
You have been told that humility is never claiming anything for yourself. The Bible says humility is agreeing with what God has already said about you in Christ.
You have been told that [music] to be bold is to be arrogant. The Bible says in Proverbs 28:1 that the righteous are bold as a lion. Do you see the contradiction?
And here is the tragedy. You have been robbed blind while thinking you were being spiritual. You have watched your body suffer while refusing [music] to speak healing over it. You have watched your bank account stay empty while refusing to declare the blessing of Abraham. You have watched your family stay in bondage [music] while refusing to take authority over generational curses. And all the while, Jesus already paid for your healing, already redeemed you from the curse, already gave you authority. The provision was already made. The victory was already won. But you have been taught to call boldness pride and to call passivity humility. And that switch has cost you everything.
Now, let me show you the foundational revelation that is going to set you free. Turn with me in your mind to James chapter 4 verse 6. Here is what it says: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." That is the verse they have been beating you with. But they never tell you what James is actually talking about.
Look at the verses right before it. James 4:4 says, "Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." Then verse 5, "Or do you think that the scripture says in vain, 'The spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously?'" [music] Now, watch this. Verse 6, "But he gives more grace. Therefore, he says, 'God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.'" James is not talking about a believer who boldly confesses the word. He is talking about a believer who is trying to live in two kingdoms at once. He is talking about spiritual adultery. He is talking about someone who wants to claim Jesus, [music] but still bow to the world's system. The world's fear, the world's poverty, [music] the world's sickness. That is pride.
Pride is not boldness in Christ. Pride is independence from God. Pride is saying, "I will do this my way." Humility is not weakness. Humility is dependence on God's word. Humility is saying, "I do not care what my senses tell [music] me. I do not care what the doctor said. I do not care what the bank account says. I am going to stand on what God said because his word is greater than my circumstances." That is humility. That is submission [music] to the authority of the word.
The Greek word for humble here is tapeinos. It means to be lowly in spirit. But not in the sense of groveling. It means to take [music] the low place under God's word. To submit yourself completely to his authority so that his power can flow through you. It is the same word used in Philippians 2:8 when it says that Jesus humbled himself and [music] became obedient to the point of death.
Was Jesus weak? Was Jesus passive? Was Jesus a beggar? No. Jesus was the most authoritative man who ever walked the earth. He spoke and storms obeyed. He spoke and demons fled. He spoke and dead men came back to life. That is what humility produces. Total surrender to the Father's will, which results in total authority in the earth.
The proud man says, "I know better than God." The humble man says, "God, I align myself with every word you have spoken. And I will not be moved." Do you see the difference? Humility is not passivity. Humility is total surrender to the word, which produces [music] total boldness in the spirit.
And here is the key that religion has hidden from you. Grace flows to humility. Grace is the power of God. Grace is the divine enablement. >> [music] >> Grace is the supernatural ability to do what you could never do in your own strength. When you humble yourself under the word, when you stop trusting your senses and start trusting the covenant, grace floods your life. Healing grace. Miracle grace. [music] Provision grace. Authority grace.
But when you walk in pride, when you say, "I will trust what I see more than I trust what God said," you cut yourself off from that flow. You resist God. And God resists you. Not because he is angry with you, but because you have stepped outside the place where grace operates. You have stepped back into the realm of sense knowledge. And sense knowledge has no power to change anything.
Let me give you a picture that will lock this in. Imagine a soldier in an army. He is standing on a battlefield. And the enemy is advancing. Now, that soldier has two options. Option one, he can throw down his weapon, put his hands up, and say, "I am just a humble soldier. I do not want to be prideful. I will just wait [music] and see what happens." What happens? He gets slaughtered. And the enemy [music] takes ground.
Option two, he picks up the weapon that his commanding officer gave him. He stands in the authority that was delegated to him. And he says, "By the authority vested in me by the king, I command you to stop now." Which one of those is humility? Religion would tell you the first one. The word tells you the second one.
Humility is not ignoring the authority you have been given. Humility is using it exactly the way the king commanded you to use it. When that soldier picks up his weapon and speaks with authority, he is not acting in pride. He is acting in submission. He is submitting to the orders of his superior.
When you open your mouth and say, "By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed," you are not being prideful. You are being obedient. You are agreeing with what the commander-in-chief already declared in 1 Peter chapter 2, verse 24. You are enforcing a finished [music] work. That is humility.
False humility says, "Who am I to claim healing?" True humility says, "Who am I to disagree with God?" False humility is silent. True humility speaks.
And here is the key. That soldier does not draw his confidence from himself. He draws it from the king who sent him. He does not stand on the battlefield wondering if he is good enough. He stands knowing the king already equipped him, already authorized him, already gave him everything he needs to win.
You do not draw your confidence from your own goodness. You draw it from the blood of Jesus >> [music] >> and the integrity of God's word. When you are standing in covenant, you are not standing in arrogance. You are standing in assurance. You are standing in the finished work of Calvary.
And the enemy knows that the moment you understand that distinction, he has lost his grip on your life. He does not fear your religiosity. He fears the moment you discover that you are not a beggar, but a covenant partner with legal rights purchased in blood. And when you open your mouth and enforce those rights, hell has to back down.
That is why the enemy has worked so hard to confuse you about humility. He knows that if he can convince you that boldness is pride, he can keep you silent. And if he can keep you silent, he can keep you defeated. But the moment you see through the lie, everything shifts completely. You stop asking and start taking. You stop begging and start enforcing. You stop hoping and start declaring. And the kingdom of God begins to manifest in your life the way it was always meant to. >> [music] >>
Now, I want you to see the legal framework that makes this work. The new covenant is not a suggestion. It is a legally binding contract signed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Hebrews chapter 8 verse 6 says, "But now he has [music] obtained a more excellent ministry. Inasmuch as he is also mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises." [music]
Established. That is a legal term. It means ratified. Confirmed. Set in stone. You are not hoping God will heal you. Healing has already been legally established. You are not hoping God will provide [music] for you. Provision has already been legally established. You are not hoping you might have authority over the enemy. That authority was legally transferred to you the moment you were born again.
Luke chapter 10 verse 19, Jesus said, "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." He gave you authority. Past tense. Completed transaction. The question is not whether you have it. The question is whether you will use it. And the only thing stopping you is a false definition [music] of humility that has convinced you that using your authority is pride.
Let me tell you what pride really is. Pride is when you take credit for something God did. Pride is when you say, "Look at me. Look at what I accomplished." Humility is when you say, "Look at what Jesus did. And because of what he did, I now have legal access to every covenant blessing. I did not earn it. I did not deserve it. But he gave it to me. And I am going to take it." That is not arrogance. That is faith.
Romans chapter verse 20 says of Abraham, "He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory [music] to God." Abraham did not sit around saying, "Oh, I am too humble to believe I could have a son at my age." No. He grabbed hold of the promise. He spoke it. He believed it. And he gave God glory by acting like [music] it was already done. That is the humility God honors. The humility that trusts his word more than it trusts circumstances.
And here is what most believers do not understand. When you stand on the word, you are not taking something that does not [music] belong to you. You are enforcing a legal verdict that has already been rendered in the court of heaven.
Second Corinthians chapter 5 verse 21 says, "For he made him who knew no sin to be sin for [music] us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him." That is past tense. You have already been made righteous. The transaction is complete. You are not trying to become righteous. You are learning to walk in the righteousness that is already yours.
And righteousness gives you the legal right to stand before the Father without guilt, without shame, without condemnation, and say, "Father, your word says I am healed. Your word says I am blessed. Your word says I have authority. I am not asking you to do something new. I am thanking you for what you have [music] already done. And I am receiving it right now." That is voice-activated authority.
Hebrews chapter 4 verse 16 says, "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need." Boldly, not timidly, not apologetically, not with a sense of unworthiness, boldly, because the blood has made you worthy. The blood has given you access. And when you come boldly, you are not being prideful. You are being obedient to what the word told you to do. You come boldly [music] because Jesus opened the way. You come boldly because you are a covenant partner, not a beggar. You come boldly because your confidence is not in yourself, but in the finished work of the cross.
Here is what you need to understand. You are not a beggar. You are an enforcer. You are not coming to God with your hat in your hand, hoping he might do something if he is in a good mood. You are coming as a covenant partner with legal rights that were purchased [music] by the blood of the lamb. When you pray, you are not begging. >> [music] >> You are reminding heaven and hell of a verdict that has already been rendered. When you speak the word, you are not hoping it might work. You are releasing voice-activated authority that was given to you by the king.
Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit." Your tongue is a weapon. Your words create reality in the spirit realm. And every time you have been silent because you were afraid of looking prideful, you have handed the enemy another day of illegal occupation in your life. God does not want you silent. He wants you bold. He wants you to open your mouth [music] and declare what he has already established. That is not pride. That is partnership. That is enforcing the covenant. And the moment you start doing it, you are going [music] to see breakthrough. Because the word does not return void.
So, what do you do with this? How do you walk this out practically? Let me give you three concrete steps woven into the way you live every single day.
First, you renew your mind to the real definition of humility. Every time that old voice says, "You are being prideful," you stop and you correct it. You say out loud, "That is a lie. Humility is not silence. Humility is agreement with God. I am not claiming something I do not have. I am claiming what Jesus already [music] bought for me." You speak that out loud. You do not just think it. You say it. Because the moment you give voice to the truth, you break agreement with the lie. And you do this every single day. You wake up in the morning and before your feet hit the floor, you say, "I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I have been made worthy by the blood. I have authority in the name of Jesus. Today I will walk in boldness, not pride. I will speak the word with confidence, not arrogance. I will enforce what Jesus has already won."
Second, you start making bold confessions based on the word and you refuse to apologize for them. You say, "By his stripes I was healed." That is 1 Peter 2:24. You say, "My God supplies all my need according to his riches and glory." That is Philippians 4:19. [music] You say, "I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus." That is 2 Corinthians 5:21. You say, "Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world." That is first John 4:4. You say, "I can do [music] all things through Christ who strengthens me." That is Philippians 4:13.
And when someone [music] looks at you sideways and says, "That sounds like pride," you smile and you say, "No. That sounds like faith. I am not speaking from my own strength. I am [music] speaking what God already said about me. I am not being arrogant. I am being obedient." You do not back down. You do not shrink. You stand. And you keep speaking. Because every time [music] you confess the word, you are building a wall of protection around your life. Every time you confess the word, you are activating the covenant. Every time you confess the word, you are giving the angels something to respond to. Because Psalm 103:20 says that the angels hearken to the voice of his word.
Third, you start using the name of Jesus with authority. When sickness tries to attach to your body, you do not pray a weak little prayer >> [music] >> asking God to maybe please help you if it is his will. You speak directly to the sickness and you say, "In the name of Jesus, I command you to leave my body. You have no legal right here. Jesus bore this sickness on the cross, and I enforce his victory right now."
When a bill comes that you do not have money for, you do not panic and beg God to somehow miraculously provide. You lay your hand on that bill and you say, "Father, your word says that you supply all my need. I thank you that the provision is already released in the spirit realm. And I call it into manifestation in the name of Jesus. I am a tither. I am a giver. I walk in the blessing of Abraham. No weapon formed against me shall prosper." That is not pride. That is authority. That is what Jesus told you to do in Mark 16:17 and 18. "These signs will follow those who believe. In my name they will cast out demons." You have been given the [music] name. The name carries all the authority of heaven. And when you use it in faith, when you use it with confidence and [music] with the full assurance of what that name represents, hell has to obey.
But let me warn you. The moment you start walking in this revelation, you are going to face resistance. The enemy is going to send three attacks. And you need to recognize them so you can shut them down immediately.
First, he is going to send condemnation. He is going to whisper, "See, you are still sick. That means it did not work. That means you were being prideful. That means God is not listening to you." You need to reject [music] that immediately. The word says in Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus." None. Not a little. Not sometimes. [music] None. Condemnation is not from God. It is from the accuser of the brethren. And you shut his mouth with the blood. Symptoms are not the final word. The word is the final word. You do not look at the symptom and change your confession. You look at the word and hold your ground. You say, "Devil, I do not care what I feel. I do not care what I see. The word says by his stripes I was healed. [music] Past tense. It is already done. My body is coming into alignment with what God has already declared." And you keep saying it day after day, week after week, [music] because faith is not a one-time confession. Faith is a lifestyle of agreement with God.
Second, he is going to use religious people to come against you. They are going to call you arrogant. They are going to say you are part of that "name it and claim it" crowd. They are going to accuse you of pride. They are going to quote James 4:6 at you >> [music] >> and tell you that you need to humble yourself. And here is what you do. You do not argue with them. You do not try to convince them. You just keep speaking the word. Jesus did not defend himself to the Pharisees. >> [music] >> He just kept doing what the Father told him to do. You do the same. You smile. You bless them. And you walk away because you are not accountable to them. You are accountable to the word. And the word has already told you to be bold. The word has already told you to come boldly to the throne. The word has already told you that the righteous are bold as a lion. So, you let them think what they want to think. And you keep enforcing the covenant.
Third, he is going to attack you with doubt. He is going to try to get you to question whether you really have the right to speak with authority. He is going to whisper, [music] "Are you sure you are doing this right? Are you sure this is not pride? Are you sure God hears you?" And here is how you silence that doubt. You go back to the blood. You say, "Devil, I do not stand in my own righteousness. I stand in the righteousness [music] of Jesus Christ. His blood has made me worthy. His blood has given me access. His blood has made me a king and a priest." Revelation 1:6 says, "He has made us kings and priests [music] to his God and Father." That is who I am. Not because I earned it, but because he declared it. You have no authority over me. And I silence you right now in the name of Jesus. The blood speaks. Hebrews 12:24 says, "The blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel." The blood answers every accusation. The blood silences every doubt. The blood opens every door. And when you remind yourself of the blood, you remind hell that the case has already been closed. The verdict has been rendered. You are not guilty. You are righteous. You are accepted. You are authorized. And no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Now, I want you to do something with me. I want you to speak this out loud right where you are. Do not just listen. Speak it. Open your mouth and say these words with [music] me. Say this: "Father, I thank you that I am not a beggar. I am a covenant partner. I thank you that humility is not weakness. It is total dependence on your word. I repent for every time I have been silent when you told me to speak. I repent for calling fear humility. I repent for shrinking [music] back when I should have stood. From this day forward, I will open my mouth and declare what you have already established. By the stripes of Jesus, I am healed. By the blood of Jesus, I am forgiven. By the name of Jesus, I have authority over every work of the enemy. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. I am not trying to become righteous. I am righteous right now. I am seated with him in heavenly places. I have been given all authority in heaven and in earth through the name of Jesus. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. Every tongue that rises against me in judgment he condemn. This is my heritage as a servant of the Lord. And my righteousness [music] is from you. I will not be silent. I will not shrink back. I will not apologize for standing on your word. I will speak your word with boldness. I will use the name of Jesus with authority. I will enforce the victory that Jesus has already won. And I will see your power manifest in my life, in my body, in my finance, in my family. In every area where the enemy has tried to steal from me, I take back what he has stolen. I reclaim what is mine. I walk in the fullness of the covenant. And I give you all the glory in Jesus' mighty name. Amen."

I thought I was being humble. I was really just being afraid. The day I understood that my authority did not come from me, everything changed. I learned that the moment I start apologizing for standing on the word, I lose the ground I just gained.
You and I are going to stumble. There will be days when doubt creeps back in, when we shrink back into old patterns. But here is the beauty of the covenant. It holds whether or not you feel strong today. The blood does not lose [music] its power when you have a weak moment. Your identity in Christ is not based on your performance. It is based on his finished [music] work. So, give yourself grace, but do not give up ground. The greater one is in you, and he is not intimidated by your humanity. Rest in him. Speak his [music] word. And watch what he does through a willing vessel.
