99% of people who use cloud code don't know this simple trick that will save them hours of wasted work and tokens. Tell me if you've been here.
You build up your context so cloud code can fix a bug. You ask it to do the work. It fails. And then you ask it to try it again and it builds up your context. Then you compact your conversation and realize that now you have to think if cloudcut has enough context to continue fixing your bug. And at some point you completely clear your conversation and start over from scratch.
But this means you have to completely rebuild your context and waste precious tokens and time of your life. What if I told you there's a simple way to revert your context back to the place you were before Claude was trying to fix your bug.
So next time you want to clear your context and start over from scratch, try this instead. Press escape twice in your Claude code terminal and go back to the state you were before Claude was trying to solve your bug. From here, you can either try to reconstruct your prompt or add more context to Claude.
