Ancient lore uses personification instead of technical jargon for a force of nature or a scientific principle. This tells a story, making something complicated, simple, and for everyone.
The holy trinities we see in most world religions are no different. They represent the three-part recipe of an animated living reality. And if you want to see the bare workings of reality for yourself in a scaledown model, look no further than simatics. Three parts: a surface, some salt, and a pitched tone.
The surface plate is a 2D version of our spacetime, our place in the universe. The salt is us and everything we see and consider real. The sound is what animates that to give it form.
Christians have the holy trinity, father, son, and holy ghost. Egyptians have u ank and jed. Sumerian, anu and lil and enki. Hindus have the trrimarti and so on.
The Hindu trarte is a good one to start with where we have the brahma, vishnu and shiva. Brahma is the surface plate that by which anything can exist in the first place. The Brahma is the dreamer of reality. This is our father of the Christian trinity.
Vishnu is the salt, the tangible matter itself that evolves and changes over time. The Vishnu represents preservation. This is the son of our holy trinity.
Shiva is the spicy one here. The pitch that separates the sand into various forms. Shiva is a personification of the laws of entropy, setting everything into motion in this beautiful dance. That of course is why we have death and rebirth. This makes it the Holy Ghost of our Christian version.
But here's the thing. For the sand to come to life and take on these wonderful forms, it first has to separate. We seem like separate beings despite all of us having the same salt of the earth brought to life by this sacred m the pitch or dance of Shiva. We see each other from a distance but we all come from the same thing and are separated yet united by this invisible force that makes everything temporary. This is why attachment is the greatest sin or hindrance in Buddhism.
When the Brahma opens his eyes, he stops dreaming. The song stops. And that dream of the Brahma is our entire reality. Just ask a quantum physicist.
