If YouTube isn't recommending your channel and your videos aren't getting many views, there's actually a few things you can do to fix that. So, in this video, I'll show you exactly what's stopping YouTube from pushing your content out and how you're going to fix it.

So, the very first thing you can do is method number one, which is create a support network with other small creators. And what I mean by this is right now you can get your channel some instant exposure by hopping into the comments section down below and sharing who you are, what your channel is about, and why you think people should subscribe to you. Because creating a network with other small creators in your niche is one of the easiest methods of getting your content out there and getting your feet off the ground.

But it's absolutely essential that you never subscribe to someone's channel if you don't intend to watch or support their content. Because subscribing to people and creating a network is fine, but only if you intend to keep watching and keep supporting in the long run. If you are one of those people that just reply to people's comments saying done and waiting, you will be blocked. I've blocked over 250 accounts so far, as you can see here, because those channels that just spam people's comments, subscribing to them, and then unsubscribing the next day is really, really damaging to people who actually trying their hardest to grow. And I'm no longer accepting it on my channel.

So, if you do want to connect with other people and have your content be recommended more, go down below, comment who you are, what your channel's about, and why you think people should subscribe to you.

And then the next method of getting the algorithm to recommend your content more is method number two, which is replicating your best performing video. So, after this video is finished, I need you to go onto your own channel and find the best performing video you've posted so far. This is the video that's got more views than all of your other ones. And once you found that, I'm going to need you to do two things.

Now, the first thing, if you haven't yet, I'm going to suggest that you clip up that video into multiple different shorts because this video was obviously popular for a reason, which should mean that the content itself is good and your audience liked it. So, to boost your reach massively and get your channel out there, clipping up those videos into shorts and then linking those shorts to your other videos is a great way to bring in a ton of new views and hopefully new subscribers.

Now, an easy tool you can use for this is Nexus Clips. Its AI tool will basically analyze your video, pick out the best segments, and then create up to five virus shorts from that one video. It has features like facial recognition, and it can even add subtitles automatically. All you have to do is drop a video in, and the tool will do all the work for you.

And then the second thing I need you to do once you've identified the best performing video is I then want you to think of new ways to recreate that video and post out new versions of it because that video is a proven winner for your channel. And when we find these proven winners, we want to post more of the same. I literally do this on all of my channels. For example, these two videos here, they're the exact same concept, but I've just recreated them to make sure the actual content inside of them is new and unique. This way I know I'm posting proven winners and I know they're guaranteed to bring in loads of views. So always just clip up your best videos into shorts and then also try to think of new ways to recreate them as well.

Then next we have method number three. Publish videos at the right time for your audience. Now I want you to go to your YouTube studio, click on analytics here and then click on audience over here. Select lifetime and then scroll down to where you see the section titled when your viewers are on YouTube.

Now, to some of you guys, this might sound really basic, but you'd be surprised at just how many people still don't know this is here, but this graph here basically shows when your viewers are most active on YouTube. Now, the lighter squares means less people are active, and the darker squares means more people are active.

Now, the key here is to realize this wording says viewers, not subscribers. So, the information gathered for this will come from a huge group of people that YouTube thinks will be interested in your content, not just your subscribers. So, you need to make sure that when you post your new videos out, you always post them at a time when your viewers are most active. This will give your content the best chance of being recommended straight away, and it will give you a big boost within the first few hours of posting.

Now, for me, I always post anywhere from 2 to 3:00 p.m. on the Fridays because that's when most of my viewers are most active. Now, for you, it might be, and it probably will be totally different, but the difference between posting at the right time for your audience or not is huge. So, go find yours and stick to it.

Then, next we have method four, channel optimization. One of the main reasons why the algorithm isn't pushing your videos out could be because you haven't fully optimized your channel yet. Now, a lot of small channels either forget to do this or simply don't know this option exists. So, when you set up a channel on YouTube, the algorithm basically has no idea who you are or what you're about. So, naturally, it's going to struggle to know who to show your videos to.

But this is where channel tags come in. I'm guessing most of your channels might look like this, which might be the reason why many of you aren't getting any views, whereas your channel should actually look something like this. So, to find your channel tags, go to studio, click on settings, and then click on channel.

Now, it's essential you fill these out and be as thorough as possible because these tags essentially allows you to tell YouTube what your channel is about and who the algorithm should show your content to. Now, you have up to 500 characters worth of info to give about your target niche. You can either fill these out yourself using tags that directly relate to your channel, or if you're struggling with what to write, use a tag generator like Rapid Attacks. Just put your niche in here and then it's going to spit out all the tags related to that niche and the algorithm should hopefully know exactly who you're trying to target and exactly who it should be pushing your videos in front of. Honestly, it should make a big difference.

Then method five, we have content clusters. Now, the algorithm loves content clusters. And what I mean by this is when you make a bunch of videos that are all closely related, like all around the same topic that naturally lead into one another. Think of it like creating your own Netflix series. And once people watch one episode, they can't help but watch the next.

Now, for me, for example, two of my most favorite YouTubers on the platform are Matt Armstrong and YBS Young Bloods. And they do this perfectly because as soon as I watch one of their videos, before I know it, I've already watched five different videos from their channel at the same time. And this is all by design. So, here's how to do it. Here's like how to do the content clusters.

Firstly, pick one topic and make three to five videos around that one topic, like different angles and versions of it. Number two, in every video you make, make sure to directly link that video to the next one using things like end screens, cards, pinned comments, or links in the description. Don't just say, "Check out my other videos." Literally tell them which video to watch and why.

Then we have create a playlist for that series so the algorithm sees that they're all connected. And finally, in your script or throughout your video, always tease the next video before the current one ends. For example, in the middle of the video, I could say something like, "If you found this video useful and you want to learn more about SEO, watch this video next. But for now, let's carry on with the video." Do you know what I mean? It's just easy. It's natural, and you're always linking your next videos in.

Now, the goal here is to optimize for session time, not just watch time. Because YouTube doesn't just reward you for having people click on your video. It actually rewards you for keeping those people on the platform watching more and more content. So if your videos consistently lead viewers to watch another video afterwards, especially one of your videos, YouTube will see that as your content keeping people engaged and therefore it's going to push out to more and more people and again it's going to give you more and more recommendations.

Then next we have method six which is create an event around your uploads. So the next thing you can do to get the algorithm to suggest your videos more is to create an event around your upload. And you can do this in two ways.

Firstly, you can post updates in your community tab and tease the upcoming video release. For example, say hypothetically today is a Monday and you have a new video coming out on Wednesday. Post that to your community tab. Literally just be like, "New video coming out on Wednesday, and you're not going to want to miss this one." Like, just tease it a little bit. Don't give too much away, but just make sure you build up a bit of suspense.

And then the next thing you can do is go into your old previous videos and reply to comments like now, because the people who leave positive comments are the ones that probably enjoyed your video the most. So, you need to go in and reply to those comments something like, "If you enjoy this video, check out our brand new video here." and like share the links to your new video or just be like, "If you enjoy this video, we'll have another banger being released this Wednesday, so make sure you tune in." This is really good for not only engaging with your community, but it's also great for building up momentum for every new video you post before it gets released.

And then finally, we have method seven, create playlists. Now, obviously, we've already spoken about content clusters, but bundling your videos works even better when you tie them together inside of a dedicated playlist. And here's why.

Now, I want you to try and spot the difference between these two screens here. As you can see, this is obviously what you see when you watch a video, but I want you to pay close attention to what you see on the right hand side here. As you can see in example one, when a viewer watches your video on the right hand side, all you can just see is loads of random videos from other creators. That means as soon as a viewer is done watching your video, they're going to be looking at this right hand side here for a new video to click onto. And once they've clicked on one of these new videos here, you've lost them for good. That viewer is gone.

However, here in example two, you can see that the videos suggested on the right hand side are now all of my own videos. So this means that the viewer can now only see my videos suggested here. So if they finish watching my video or get bored and want something else, they are now much more likely to click onto another one of my videos as opposed to someone else's. So let's say even just 20% of my viewers do this. That's a huge amount of new watch time I'm getting instead of having them click off and onto someone else's videos.

And all this is is a load of videos I've included in a single playlist. And you can easily create playlists in your YouTube studio and then link that playlist in your description. And you should remember me saying that you should always include links to new videos in your descriptions. But just make sure you do it this way so that once someone clicks on that link, all of your other content is going to be suggested too. And this will massively bump up your session time and therefore massively bump up your video recommendations.
