Ladies and gentlemen, now Karina, the final boss of 94, is actually split into three different bosses. So you've got the science and tech one, the mutant and mystic one, and the skill and cosmic one.
Now, I believe by far the easiest one is just going to be the science and tech, 'cause if you bring the right characters, you can cheese this one. I think with Gan Gray, uh, the mystic and mutant one is incredibly easy, but a little bit confusing at first. It takes kind of a while to get into the flow of the fight. And I think by far the most difficult one, or just annoying one, is the skill and cosmic. So we're going to take this video in order of difficulty and we're going to first look at the science and tech one.
So in terms of the champions you're looking for for this first one, you're looking for a champion that is science or tech that does not land critical hits or can remove prowess. Those are the two big criteria you want to make this fight very easy. And I've used Guardian, Jack, and Yondu. I would say I do prefer Guardian out of all of them.
And what is happening in this fight is Karina is passively building up her blue energy. When this gets to 100, you'll see a little timer and then you've got to charge a heavy attack and unleash it into that blast wave that's coming out. That will reflect that blast wave and give Karina seven charges. And then basically, once she is above 15 charges, then pushing her to a special two causes her to take damage. So you essentially kind of like repeat this cycle three times and that is pretty much the fight. This is why I think this one's probably the easiest Karina just to understand.
So yeah, she's nearly 100. I like to do this trick. Throw the special one, create a bit of distance for Guardian. Back off, heavy attack into the blast, and then we've actually got 21 charges now. So it's above 15. She throws her special two and then she's going to take a ton of damage there. And essentially, it is rinse and repeat that cycle. But below 50%, the fight is going to get a little bit more hectic.
So here, 100 charges, we back off. We throw the heavy attack in. And basically, um, I'm confident when she gets near 100 charges to start charging that heavy attack. But as soon as the yellow timer expires, that is when I release it. So that's kind of the timing I've got. And I did find for Guardian, doing a special one just before about like 80 charges or so, just allows me to get that positioning right where, you know, I just have plenty of room and distance between myself and Karina so I just have time to like charge that heavy attack up. Just kind of a habit I got into this fight that allowed me to control it very easily there. Um, and yeah, it's kind of a rinse and repeat now.
You can see the charges again. We throw a special one. Guardian kind of bounces back a little bit. We charge that heavy attack, unleash it as the yellow timer expires, just so we're doing that heavy animation when the wave arrives into us. Uh, also, similar to Bahamut, you can also parry, but you're not going to get as many charges on Karina. So, where possible, I believe it is just easier and better overall in terms of the damage output gain to charge heavy into it.
So, characters with quicker heavies can be really useful for phase one. But when it comes to phase two, uh, which we are going to be entering shortly, characters with longer heavies are very, very fun as well because they are just able to cheese when we start getting kind of multi-waves and ping-pong active. So, here charging heavy again, we just get the reflect, knock her down. Uh, you can see we got the seven additional charges here. That brings her up to 14. So, we basically just need to do that cycle one more time. Uh, we take some hits here for for good luck. I think just random basic hits. And you can see you can be like so lazy on the special one as well and literally just block it and it really just doesn't deal much damage. So you can learn to evade it if you want. Uh, but again, there's not really a need or requirement to.
And whenever she has above 15 charges, she's going to special lock herself to the special two and then basically guarantee that that will be the next special attack she throws. Then she does big damage on herself, gets absolutely wrecked, and now below 50%, this is where the fun begins. So, I'm basically like just spamming heavy attacks with Guardian to ping-pong that back and forth. But you do need to like actively spam if you have a character that has like a heavy attack that has a shorter or medium duration. Uh, but for me, a little bit similar to like Ares when he's doing like the machine gun. Uh, I'm just like spamming heavy attacks during that. Very similar thing here, right? I'm just trying to like uh spam heavies constantly. And this one, because there's uh so many waves and additional charges, you can see here she's already at 28. So now we can kind of like push her to the special two. Uh, I'm not too sure if we're going to get like one more wave phase to deal with, but let's go for this. We far off the special one. And here we actually do have another one. So yeah, we just uh play ping-pong with the heavy attacks. Literally just spamming heavy here. And then full 35 charges, she unleashes a special two and then you've just got to hit her once after this and then she dies. So that is why I think that one's like pretty easy.
Now just to show you with Jack as well. This is so funny 'cause Jack has like a really long special attack. So we can see here approaching 100 charges and we go in for this. We unleash the heavy attack and you know, he like flies up in the air and it just, yeah, it's it's crazy, man. Just like instantly reflects like everything back. Um, so yeah, Jack is very, very fun uh for the last phase, but again, in the first phase, you might need to parry some blasts because you can get punished um just trying to reflect them with a heavy. So just note that there. Overall, I did prefer Guardian the most.
Now moving on to the mystic and mutant boss. There are three really valuable things. The first one is a very long special one animation. This is arguably the most valuable thing to bring into this fight. The other two are ideally passive stuns to avoid the tranquilize and get around there. And the third thing is just having a very tanky character. So, Gan Gray, she like ticks all three boxes. Nega Sonic Teenage Warhead, she's got the passive stun. Uh, and she also has a very long special one animation. She can be a really good option. And also, Doctor Strange doesn't have the passive stun, but has a very long special one animation, and he's incredibly tanky. So, those are some examples of really good characters for this fight, but if you have Gan Gray, bring her in because she is absolutely ridiculous for this one.
So, basically in this matchup, whenever you're near Karina, you're going to get this corrupted infection. And your job is to transfer this onto Karina. Whenever you use a medium attack, it's going to pause it, but if you use light attacks, it doesn't. And you can transfer it during your relic and also during your special one. So, your goal is to kind of like do this big combo in the start of the fight where you get, you know, loads of this corruption on you. Um, and then you relic and you special attack and you just have this really long window that is determined by the duration of your special one to transfer all of these passives over to Karina. And then that converts into, you know, the charges that we had from the previous fight, the pink ones. And then she uses her special two and takes some mega damage. So, this one when you get used to it is probably the fastest of all three fights, but it can be a little bit confusing at first, just like getting used to the timer of the corruption and the transfer window.
But where this fight gets more difficult is below 50% because below 50% you are going to be passively locked on either using your striker or your special attack and that's going to alternate here. So, yeah, the end of the fight can get a little bit hectic. If any of these corruptions expire on you, you're also going to take a burst of damage as well. This is why having a really tanky character like Gan Gray is super valuable or Doctor Strange. Uh, just because you have the opportunity to, you know, regenerate a fair bit or mitigate with the force field. Uh, but overall here, we get kind of a nice transfer with the special two. Uh, just managed to get some more charges. You can see when you do get those successful transfers, Karina goes up very, very quickly in terms of the amount of passive she has. So, it's quite easy to push her into that phase where she uses her special two and takes additional damage. You can also use the striker and a special attack into block. Uh, so that is a play you may want to do sometime as well. Uh, and here, yep, final lineup uses her special two. And then we can just do a single hit and she goes down there.
So, just to take that from the start of the fight, uh, going with Nega Sonic Teenage Warhead. Now, we're trying to be very aggressive on the start. Using medium attacks is just going to pause this. So, you never want to use a medium before you actually want to transfer. But the start of the fight, I don't really care about transferring yet 'cause I'm just trying to pause as many as I can as close to each other as possible. So, we go in there. We're just playing super aggressive. You can see we got three almost like full duration there. And we're just trying to be very, very aggressive here. But the passive stun is really helping us do that because we never need to worry about tranquilize. Um, and at this point we got five. Sometimes I like to kind of go up to like seven or eight, but here we just decide to wait and chill. So, we got the passive stun. Now, my infections are close to expiring, so we fire off the relic and then go straight into a special one. Super long duration. So, we get all of these charges on Karina. She's up to 30 now. And then we just need to push her back to the special two. So, yeah, passive stuns, dude, outrageously goated in this fight. Just give you like the control you need over Karina in my opinion. Uh, so Jean Gray is my strong recommendation because Negaic is not quite as tanky when it comes to the block damage. I did need to use one revive using Negaic, but I also messed up a little bit as well. I think if you've got a stacked version and play well, the solo is definitely possible.
But now just skipping ahead to the final phase as well. This is where again the fight is a little bit more hectic 'cause sometimes, you know, you just don't have exactly the thing you need at that moment to transfer a corruption that's about to expire. So having a little bit of a a safety net, a window is why tanky characters are pretty good here. But now we have gone to the striker lock. So we got the special attack and then we don't want to throw any medium attacks. We're kind of just chilling here for a second. Wait for the expiry special one. And there we go. We managed to get loads of charges on her. She's up to 29 there. And then we can just push an additional combo. Get her all the way up to special two and uh pretty much finish off this fight here. She's going to take some crazy damage with just this many charges. Uh, so yeah, all the way to 1% and we can just throw our special and KO. So yeah, passive stuns are just really good for that fight. And I would strongly recommend Gan Gray.
Now for the final Karina, I would recommend any character with very good power gain. So, Hyperion, Vision, Arcues, Serpent, a lot of cosmic characters that just naturally have good power gain are going to be so incredibly valuable here 'cause this one more than anything is kind of just a fight for spacing. This boss is a little bit similar to the Black Widow in 81. So, essentially, she fires her special one or heavy attack and places a trap at the end of it. You then have to knock her into that trap using a heavy attack. So, that is pretty much the fight. You can gain bonus charges when you knock her into that heavy attack for every action you have performed in a row that is unique. So, it's kind of a little bit like M.O.D.O.K. to a certain extent. You can get these additional yellow or golden charges. You know, they kind of look like the snake like Thor Jane Foster fight if you are familiar with those icons. Uh, but essentially, the more of those you try to do, the greedier you get. And if you are knocked into a trap yourself, you lose those charges.
So the very chill way to do this is like base special one, parry her, and then like use a heavy attack or heavy counter if she throws her heavy. Uh, and if you want to get like really fancy, there are some points in the fight we do. Uh, you can also like dash back after the special one and throw things, but you also don't want to get in the very far corner as well. And this is where this fight is a a fight for space because in the far corner there is a trap that is going to deal damage and also remove charges from yourself as well. So you do not want to be there under any circumstance. And that is why power gain characters are very good. And power gain characters also help pause the inexorable in the final phase as well. So power gain just for spacing control is very, very valuable here because at any point if it's going very badly, we can throw special attacks, the special three, the special two and kind of combo stun just to get the fight back under control.
But essentially, that is it. You know, she does a trap, you need to heavy attack her over that trap and then she gains charges. But this one just gains charges a lot slower unless you want to get greedy with it. And sometimes getting greedy with it can backfire very quickly in this fight until you get very confident and comfortable with it. Uh, so just in my experience so far, uh, this one I just found like initially the most like annoying to manage because it gets worse as you get below 50% as well and an inexorable comes into the picture 'cause this first bit, man, is actually is kind of chill, right? You don't have an inexorable, you've got a lot of control over the spacing in this fight and you can sometimes get a little bit fancy with it.
So, here I actually messed up. We baited out the heavy attack. We go for like a couple of hits here and you can see the yellow charges on Hyperion are now fully ramped up to 10. We knock her into the trap. Instead of three of those passives or four, uh, we actually got eight there. So, again, kind of speeds up the fight a little bit if you want to be a bit more greedy with some of the openings and opportunities there. And sometimes it makes sense to and sometimes just kind of stay in a good rhythm and flow with this fight is just kind of the more reliable thing to do uh against Karina here. And because we got a load of power gain as well, we're getting this passive called Elder's Resistance. So yeah, we can basically just like tank the special one, not really take any damage. There are also these passives that come on us uh just after the special one. So we've got like a glancing and also a power drain. You can see it kind of like makes the power bar go a little bit crazy. This is why if you're not using a power gain character, it's actually really difficult to gain power in this fight and then you kind of sometimes lose the ability to just be in control of pushing Karina back, right? You don't have kind of a plan B if things get very bad. Um, so that is that is why just in my experience in testing so far, I found a lot of success with Hyperion, a lot of success with Vision Arcues. Uh, really enjoyed both of those characters.
Now, below 50%, this is where this fight becomes more tricky, right? Because inexorable comes into play. So, sometimes you just will not be able to uh knock her back using a heavy attack over a trap. I decided to be a little bit more greedy there and get some attacks in uh so we could get some additional charges. But essentially, the inexorable uh you can see determined by the unstoppable timer. So, that's one of the things we want to be looking for there. Ideally, she has this passive when she is throwing a special one. If you can make this line up, it's just going to be a little bit better for you. Um, so yeah, just something to keep in mind as well. Sometimes you just want to try and like push her a little bit. But the inexorable also gives you more opportunity if you can't push her back just to do, you know, regular hits as well. So, just something to, you know, potentially keep in mind there.
But here, I think we actually go for a full combo just so we can try and push her a little bit closer. Uh, I thought there was a trap there actually, but there's there's not unfortunately. So, yeah, this is where again the fight just steps up a bit of a level because you're not always going to be able to get those reliable knockbacks into the trap. Uh, but here we just go for I believe a three combo. Um, and then heavy counter and I don't think this is going to push her all the way back. So, we need to like grab another parry again. We just go for a medium, another heavy attack. And we managed to send Karina back. She now has 20 of the passives. So using that special two, she's going to take a ton of damage. And then it is a bit of a rinse and repeat there. I decided at this point just to chuck the special three. We didn't absolutely need to use it here, but coming out of that, she had inexorable. So it's just like, okay, this gives us a little bit more space. And Hyperion, you know, he gets the power back also incredibly quickly as well.
Now, in this matchup with Hyperion, I actually did make a little bit of a mistake. So you can see I accidentally triggered the regeneration, which sacrifices the power gain. And this is like a good example of where if you don't have power gain in this fight, sometimes you can run out of options fairly quickly in terms of what you can do. Uh, and your abilities control the spacing here. So, we're going to go for another special one. And like, dude, sometimes she just like does not throw the special one as immediately as you might like. Uh, but that that was actually like fairly good. But you'd see we're right in the corner. To the left of me is the trap here. She's inexorable. We can't knock her back. So, we do take a detonation from there. Here, I decide, you know, if I stay in the corner, I'm just getting absolutely cooked. So, I'm going to throw the relic and just kind of fight for space a little bit more and push, you know, Karina back. Managed to get like a combo into the blocks. So, she was quite generous with the space that she gave me, but then she goes inexorable. And here we have the power gain back. So this is where you start to see the difference just of options you have when the power gain is actually active because this even despite, you know, the power drain and um uh reduction uh severe debuffs triggering on us, we still have the ability to top up that power meter quite quickly and just gain the option at any point to you know throw that special two, throw that special three and get control of the fight back.
So, here she throws off her special two, takes a bit of a detonation, not quite enough to KO her because she does need to get herself down uh I believe to like one health with her own damage reflect and then you can, you know, land a killing blow after that. So, it is a real test of endurance and it can sometimes feel a little bit frustrating, right? When you get to this point in the fight and you're like, dude, she's 4%, but I still need to go through several more cycles of just kind of knocking her down. Uh, so yeah, this one really does test um uh patience and endurance. And again, when you get very comfortable with this fight, you can have opportunities like this one where you throw in like various actions just to gain additional yellow charges and speed it up. But it does take a little bit of practice and just kind of getting comfortable with your space management and some of the options you do have available to you. Uh, but you can see now she's on 11 charges inexorable. We can't heavy to knock her back, unfortunately. We don't want to use the striker here or that would take her well over the heavy attack. Uh, almost got to the trap at the back there. Uh, I think I probably should have just gone for like the parry there to be fair, but I think my logic at this point was like, okay, I'm a bit too close to the wall. Better safe than sorry with some of these traps. Let's just, you know, play it sensible. Uh, try and catch another heavy. Uh, the heavy counter on Hyperion is amazing, dude. Like, Karina has so much time where she kind of does nothing. Uh, and then at this point, she's got 15 charges, so we can push her special, too. Just want to leave ourselves open. Uh, bait that out, get the final hit, and she goes down. So, nice little special intercept there to finish off Karina overall.
So, ladies and gentlemen, I hope you enjoyed the guide and full walkthrough of all three Karina bosses. And if you did, please do smash that like button. That'd be greatly appreciated. And also let me know in your run who you used, who worked incredibly well for these bosses, and any sort of additional tips that you may have just to make this boss easier for other players. Um, but yeah, thank you all very much for watching. Take care, and I hope that you have an absolutely fantastic day.
