So Lord, you have ordered all things. You have ordered them so that through our conception, our infancy, our childhood, our growing in the teenage years, that we come to a full maturity, a full perfection of living your life. You have granted this Lord that we can recapitulate your whole life, from infancy to our death.
Lord, in these adult years, so often we go astray. So often we miss our vocations. So often we misuse our talents. So Lord, we start firstly in reparation of vocations. For those who have not discerned, for those who have rejected your calling. Firstly, those who are called to the priesthood, to the religious life, to a celibate life. Who have therefore missed their opportunity to live their life to the fullest in your divine will. So, we ask you to repair all those voids, to fill them to overflowing. So, that your Father looks down upon every soul past, present, and future as having fulfilled your divine will.
We pray for those who are called to a marriage vocation. For those that have rejected it, who live together, who do not honor the call to marriage, call to holy chastity even within marriage. To all those who have not been fruitful, for all those in their vocation who have contracepted, for all those who have chosen abortion over life. This great evil that plagues our modern world. We cover every soul that has been part of this either through choice, abetting, or not contradicting to cover this evil with your precious blood. Lord, you told us that your sufferings could could cover billions of sins of billions of galaxies. So, we ask you to apply your precious blood to these choices. To those that have chosen unfaithfully, divorce or separation. For those that live together in sin. We again ask for reparation for those.
But Lord, we ask you they know not what they do. If they knew how much they offend you, if they knew the goodness you were holding out to them, Lord, they would not make these choices. And lastly, as regards vocations, for those that simply do not discern, for those that have been entrapped in the world, for those that simply are drawn to pleasure, selfishness, living for themselves and not for others. We cover them with your precious blood. We take it to them, we minister it to them. So, for all those regarding vocations, we ask a total fulfillment in your divine will. Now, Lord, you have chosen in our adulthood to grant authority and responsibility. You have given us a share in your Godhead, a share in your authority. As you said to Pilate, the authority given to us comes from you. So, we ask and make reparation for all those have misused their authorities. For kings, queens, politicians, those in charge with great power, who choose policies for their own ends, who pursue war, who pursue persecution, who sow dictatorships, enslaving the peoples you entrusted to them. Who's used their power for great evil. For those in authorities in businesses, who prefer rather to create wealth for themselves, who do not give a fair wage. This modern form of slavery, where so many families both have to work, both work long hours with poor wages, poor conditions, especially those creating wealth for the West. We ask reparation for all those. Lord, they know not what they do. We cover them with your precious blood.
Lord, we make reparation for families, for parents that again misused their authority. They use children to fulfill what they feel they missed in life. Do not use their authority to pass on a true model of what it means to be a man, to be a woman. To those who have chosen to use their authorities to abuse, to manipulate, to enslave their own children, their own offspring. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. Lord, you gave us talents. In the gospel, you told us that we all have talents. Some five, some three, some one. Lord, we have so often failed to use the talents you give us. The talent of time, the talent of skills, abilities, gifts, and charisms. So often, we have been slothful. We have not used that God-given limited opportunity that we have on Earth to use these particularly for your greater glory. So Lord, now we want to reclaim these divine lives that you have stored up for all of us. So that every life may come to their moment of their death having fulfilled everything that you asked for them down to the smallest detail. We make reparation for this grave this lack of time, this burying of the talent, that so often means that a personal sin becomes a sin for all communities. So, Lord, for all this misuse of talent and time, Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. I seal them with your divine will, Lord. I seal them with your divine will, Lord.
Lord, we pray for those of us all have already prayed at different stages of their life, to those who in adulthood have crosses. Lord, you told us you told Louisa through Saint Hannibal that we have a choice. We are either wounded by your love, oh Lord, or we're wounded by creatures. So, we make reparation for the times that we have all, all souls, past, present, and future, chosen to be wounded by creatures rather than by your love. For all those that suffer from addictions in adulthood, whether it be to gambling, pornography, all the myriad forms that are simply, Lord, a misplaced desire for you. We ask you through your precious blood, change that desire. Make us all realize that the true desire is for you, goodness and truth. And then, in whatever we choose that is not you, we are looking for you. And that our hearts will be restless until they find rest in you. Lord, this is the scourge of our age. The scourge of false desire. Addiction to the wrong things. The misuse of people, of slavery, of trafficking, of abuse, of persecution. Lord, even these people in their misplaced thoughts and actions desire only you. So, we take the precious blood on this feast day of your sacred heart that poured out water and blood from your side. And we go around the world administering it to all adults, past, present, and future. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. Lastly, Lord, your will was that we reach the moment of our death with peace, trust, having accomplished all you gave for us to do. So, Lord, that is what we want for all souls to come to the moment of their death with that confidence, trust, and joy, knowing that Lord, even at the last moment, those that give themselves to your divine will confined in your gift a total completion of their lives. Even at the 11th hour you give the same wage to those who started the day. We particularly pray for those then at the end of their lives who despair who are bound by guilt worry regret shame that you intercede that we bring that precious blood to you. Particularly those who are rejecting their cross whose suffering is wasted. Lord, there is nothing more tragic than wasted suffering. So we pray to you then for all at that stage. All that do not believe in you all that have felt your love. We particularly remember too the times we you have called to live in your divine will. The times we've missed out on acts, we've missed out on rounds. We've drifted out of your divine will. We've gone back to our human will. We make reparation for that. We ask everything to be completed so that the scripture might be fulfilled that all things are placed under your under your feet. And you are in all and all are in you. So we entrust finally this stage of our lives, this adulthood to you. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. And now, Father Bruno will take us to the last stage of life until we draw our last breath so that we can we can In the divine world, there's no future. Remember what Jesus said, there's no future. So, now in the divine world, we can access that point until our last breath. Drawing our last breath, and Father Bruno will take us through that so that we obtain the graces for that moment. And then, old age and all that comes with old age and will end us with thanks with thanksgiving prayer.
Sure. Thank you, Sam. So, uh let us indeed in a moment of uh inner stillness as best we can. It's late in the afternoon, but let us place ourselves once again in the presence of God. Let us clothe ourselves with the divine will. Allow ourselves to be absorbed by that divine will so that in the will of God itself, we can act so that we can look out and see and know and understand as it as God is pleased to grant it to us. And in the light of that understanding and in the light of his love in our own hearts, we might participate in all that the divine will is doing. Let us remember also as we act in the divine will, the persons of our Blessed Lady and the Holy Spirit who in slightly different ways express the active love of God in the church.
So, first of all, as Sam has already hinted, some of us perhaps have already reached senior years of life. Others are on the way. We'll be there soon. Let us first of all, from the perspective of the divine will, look at our own senior years, whether they are unfolding around us now day-to-day, or whether there's something which still lies in the future, if it pleases God to bring us to that phase of life. If perchance our life may not reach that old age, let us at least embrace all that God wishes. Let us take stock of it. Let us embrace what is in Jesus' mind and heart for ourselves. So, here we're praying not for the world. We're praying very distinctly for ourselves. We're acting in the divine will for ourselves. First of all, just by becoming aware, as best we can, of what God's will for us is. That perfect version of our lives and of our senior years, or of whatever years the Lord wishes to give us. Let us just mentally lay claim to that from within the divine will. So, that perfection, that perfect version of our own senior years, we place that upon our own self. We lay claim to it in the divine will, and we apply it to our own souls. We ask God in this way to open up to us new channels of divine grace, through which we might actually realize all that Christ desires for us during our time on Earth. Jesus and Mary, we entrust ourselves to your loving hearts. Jesus and Mary, we entrust ourselves to your loving heart. Seal us with your divine will, Lord. Seal us with your divine will, Lord.
Now from the perspective of the divine will, let us look out over the face of the Earth and indeed over the face of the Earth of every age, past and future. Let us take stock of all elderly persons who have lived, are alive, or will live in the future. This is a time of much experience and therefore of a good measure of wisdom, prudence and understanding and compassion. It's also a time when there can be big challenges and awareness of a life lived imperfectly, the wounds resulting from old sins of omission or commission, fragility, brokenness. So looking out over the whole human race of all times, over all elderly people, men and women, let us say, Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. Jesus, we trust them to your loving hearts. I seal them with your divine will, Lord. I seal them with your divine will, Lord.
Now, let us look again at these elderly souls. And let us ask our Lord for some specific features, some specific graces to make their lives fully perfect in his sight. And I want to start by just briefly considering the point of activity and fruitfulness in the church. Even those souls who at this moment are not formally members of the church, cooperating with the grace which God gives them can move in that direction. And to the best of their ability, forming acts of their will, they can desire to be part of God's family. They can experience his grace. So, let us remember that people who are retired, who are elderly, are no longer working. I think that's pretty much the definition of retired. But, that doesn't mean that they're inactive. In a recent message to grandparents and elderly people, Pope Leo reminded us that Moses was called to set his people free when he was already 80 years old. And he reflected, "God thus teaches us that in his eyes, old age is a time of blessing and grace. And that the elderly are for him the first witnesses of hope." Throughout the scriptures, we find many instances of elderly people being this green and living shoot before the throne of God, bringing life and hope to those around them. Simeon, who took the little one Jesus in his arms, upon whom the Holy Spirit rested. And also in the same place in the Gospel, second chapter of Saint Luke, we read about Anna, the daughter of Phanuel. She was a widow who was 84 years of age, but, and I quote, she never left the temple, but worshipped there with fasting and prayer night and day. So, let us once again draw to our mind's eye, from the perspective of the divine will, all elderly souls. Let us also keep an eye on the mind of heart our Lord Jesus Christ, and all that perfect version of lives which he has done for all of humanity from Adam to the very last person. Let us note the difference between them, but particularly in this area of fruitfulness and activity, let us ask our Lord to cover them with his grace, so that they may strive forward with greater courage, with greater energy, with greater hope, to be a sign of life and a cause of life in the midst of their families, their communities, the church, the parish they belong to, the world. Lord Jesus, all of these souls now in the divine will, with this will in our minds and hearts, we seal them with that perfect version of life and love which you have in mind for each one of them. Let us think now specifically about the relationship between elderly people and their family and the people around them with whom that they live. Pope Leo mentioned in a way which was very, very appropriate that a lot of elderly people are, of course, married still after many years, probably. And he said, "Our affection for our loved ones, for the wife or husband with whom we have spent so much of our lives, for our children, for our grandchildren who brighten our days, does not fade when our strength wanes." So, let us be mindful once again of all that is in Jesus' mind and heart for all elderly people. So, what is it that he desires for them? Let us bring to mind elderly souls who did reach great holiness, a spirit of peace, a spirit of moderation, a spirit of self-control, a spirit of gentleness, and at the corner of their lips, almost constantly, a little smile. Lord Jesus reaching into your heart now in the divine will. We gather all of these beautiful virtues, all of the grace to make this a reality. And with Luisa and our Lady Mary, we scatter these graces across the face of the earth. We rain them down like so many flowers from heaven upon the souls of past, present, and future in this last phase of their life, which is anything but fruitful. Lord, transform these hearts with these graces. We bring these souls before you. Make them burn with charity, Lord. Make them ardent signs of your life, your love with us yet. Make them icons of holiness. Make them images of perfection, human fulfillment, spiritual richness. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. I trust them to your loving hearts. I seal them with your divine will, Lord. I seal them with your divine will, Lord.
A particularly beautiful image in scripture is Simeon, who the gospel tells us took the child Jesus into his arms and praised God. I don't know how many generations there could have been between Simeon and Jesus, but probably two or three. Think of an elderly soul holding a little child. I think it was Venerable Mary of Agreda, who also shows us an image which is a little bit similar to this, the Blessed Virgin Mary at the Visitation. I mean, a bit later on in the Visitation, so perhaps after she'd been with Elizabeth and Zechariah for quite a while. According to tradition, she was there for 3 months and therefore witnessed the birth of John the Baptist and Mary of the Graces has this beautiful image of Our Lady holding baby Jesus baby John and praying for him. This woman, not very old but old in wisdom and grace, full of days in a mystical sense, full of a prophetic spirit, full of divine love, full of the divine will, holding the precursor of her own son in her arms, knowing, I think, that he would go before his relative, Our Lord Jesus, also in the way of martyrdom and death. And she prayed for him. She prayed for him while she pressed him to her bosom. So Lord, now we take from your heart, from all of those divine acts which you did in favor of elderly people, all the love between elderly souls and young souls that you desired. Lord, we gather these beautiful acts of love into our arms and we take them to these souls. Maybe we can take the form of Our Blessed Lady. Let us ask her to admit us into her mind and heart, to admit us into her very body indeed. So that her hands are ours. Her heart is ours, her are ours, her face is ours. And so in the form of Mary, let us draw close to these elderly souls. And let us bestow upon them this very compassion which our Lady witnessed, which Simeon witnessed, that love for younger generations. Let us fill them in the divine will acting by God's power with the grace of wisdom and love. And if hearts are not yet open to that, let us pray for them. Let us cover them with the Lord's blood and his love so that soon they may open up their hearts to this love and then bestow it upon those around them. So, Lord, in your divine will, we form many acts of love in the hearts of elderly people, especially for young souls. Patience, understanding, compassion, a sense of humor, love and gentleness, constancy, good example. Lord, all of these beautiful graces we bestow upon them, we unfold them in their lives. We offer them to you, Lord. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. I seal them with your divine will, Lord. I seal them with your divine will, Lord.
Obviously, being of advanced age leads us into a condition of vulnerability. Let us take stock of all elderly souls who are frightened, who feel alone, who are anxious about being a burden to those around them whom they love. Let us immediately step into that breach with the faith and the hope which Jesus has for them. Let us offer them the grace which he stored in his own heart through the acts which he accomplished in the divine will. Let us make it possible for these souls to see hope in suffering, to see fruitfulness, to see the value of patience, of trust, of abandonment to God himself, and to see also the value of their sufferings for those around them. All of those souls who in God's will have cared for elderly relatives or neighbors or whoever it is and have profited thereby immeasurably, have benefited from the love that they themselves have shown. Have benefited from being able to open up their hearts to that which perhaps by God's grace they will recognize as God's own love. So, let us enter into the hearts of elderly people in the divine will and form their sentiments of trust. Trust in God. A gentle trust also in those around them. Acceptance of their weakness and vulnerability. The grace to see this in the light of God's love. And in the mystery of eternity. Let us lift them up to a lively faith in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. And let us instill in their minds and hearts the conviction that it is through the cross that we pass to eternal life. Not just at the end of our lives, but at every moment of our lives. This life of heaven grows in us through trusting abandonment to the mystery of the cross here and now. Let us form, dear brothers and sisters, that understanding in the hearts of all elderly souls. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. I seal them with your divine will, Lord. I seal them with your divine will, Lord.
And let us finally offer that abandonment to God's will, which is appropriate as these souls face death itself. Let us take those dispositions which our Lord desired for them and place them in their hearts, making it possible that in this way for them more easily to achieve all that the Lord desires. So, as a little image of this, and beautifully I think in this year dedicated to the memory of the 800th uh centenary of St. Francis' death, Francis of Assisi, let us call to mind the triumph of God's grace that was the death of that wonderful soul. Lying in the Portiuncula in Italy, poor, but rich in virtue and merit, he embraced sister death. Almost completely blind in his eyes, but alive with the life of God. Trustingly surrendering himself into the hands and into the heart of him whose love he knew very well in his life. So, let us now take this grace, this triumph, this success, which is in the heart of Jesus for each and every one of us, for the elderly people of every age, for all of those facing death, and let us place it in their minds and in their hearts. Let us make it this in this way possible for them to say, "Lord, into your hands I commend my spirit." And with the saints to bless God and thank him for all that he has accomplished in their lives. Let us enable them to hear the words of our savior, "Today, you will be with me in paradise." Amen. Jesus and Mary, I entrust them to your loving hearts. So, we've come to the end, I think, of our live sealing rounds now, but let us continue in this prayer um often and ask our Lord in this way to establish on Earth His kingdom.
So, at the end of this day, let us thank our Lord for all that He has accomplished. And let us ask Him once again to grant us the grace to live always in all of our thoughts, words, and deeds completely in His will, so that His life might fill us, envelop us, embrace us, flow through us, accomplish all that He desires in us and through us. Let us abandon ourselves once and for all to that divine will. Let us do this through the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, Mediatrix of grace. Lord Jesus, we thank you from the depths of our heart. Thank you for numbering us among the children of your fiat. Lord Jesus, let our thanksgiving, together with that of countless souls whom in your love you have saved, echo in your presence forever with that of the holy angels and Our Lady, the Queen of Heaven and Empress of the kingdom of the divine will. Lord Jesus, bless us, and in your name I bless all these people physically present and joined with us through social media. May Almighty God shine His face upon you. May He shine in your hearts. May He fill you with life, strength, and love. May He keep you always in His will. May He bring that will to perfection in you and through you. The Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
