I want to do a couple things tonight. We'll get out of here in a good time. And it won't be ineffective. It won't be just a rush job. Jesus isn't offended. If I He does, He's amazing.
We prayed for 20 seconds last week at a church I was at because it was kind of one of these moments where I talked a long time. It was, it was a long service. We started at 6. Remember, a guy like me, it's dangerous to do that. I know the purpose. It's so it's not so late. But to me, that's an extra hour. I'm like, six. Woohoo. You know, we like it really. It's not my intention. It just happens that way.
But here's what happened. I was in this service and it was, it was a teaching night. It was a but yet my heart was going out to the sick and I'm looking around and I'm realizing, man, there's stuff in the room that, man, God could change that we could believe for that would be awesome. But it was already so late and I didn't, didn't want to teach it out and take because I'm, I, you know, I take a while. I, I'm, I, I have an anointing to pass time and I do because I live in eternity. A day is a thousand years. Thousand years is a day. Hey man, it'll all work out too. You know, do you know what time it is? No, I didn't really think about it. But it's relevant. We got schedules and stuff.
But I said, "Listen, guys, we're going to do this quick, but it won't be ineffective and it won't be insincere and it's not just a copout and it's not just, man, this is God. If you're sick in this place, I said, 'Raise your hands. Better yet, just stand up right now wherever you're at.' I said, 'I'm not going to interview nobody. I'm not going to take time. time. We're just going to pray a simple prayer of faith. People, get around them. Get your hands on them and don't wait for me to pray. You have authority in you. Be healed in Jesus name.'"
It's probably enough when you understand that God loves them. Your prayer doesn't heal anybody. His finished work does. There's a lot of self-conscious people when they pray for the sick, they think they got to pray better. There's so much training and teaching and schools on praying for the sick and healing. I think we've made it very complicated, like a hard hoop to get through. I think we ought to probably try to back up to simplicity and childlikeess. And Jesus loves you. This is what I've learned. Your prayer never has and never will heal anybody. It's your faith in what he accomplished. So be healed in Jesus name. Coming from the right place is probably enough. Probably is. Or we need to learn to pray better. And then it's all on you and his finished work's not enough and now you can fail or pass. It's not the truth. Pain you come out in Jesus name. And when you're praying that you believe it's God's love and Jesus's finished work that makes that happen and says that's true and nothing can stop his love. And you believe that. You look in their eyes sometimes before you pray for them and you settle in your heart, man, Jesus died for them.
So, we prayed this thing. It was like 15 or 20 seconds. Somebody could have criticized it if they wanted to or thought it was a little irrelevant or a little push at the end. Oh, yeah. Big healing service. Okay. Whoopee. I mean, I came for this. It was a 15-second healing service. I said, "Listen, tomorrow if you come back, we're going to survey and check and test out. You have a whole day to know how your body's doing. And I want to hear testimonies. I don't want you to exaggerate or make anything up. Revelation says you lie, you fry. So don't go there. Just be real."
So, so that night they came in and there was at least 25 non-stop testimonies of a life lived that day, completely free from whatever they stood up for. And we prayed for 15 seconds with very little teaching. And it just showed me that God is honoring simplicity. And he just wants us to not get heady but hearty. He doesn't want you self-conscious. He wants you so Christ conscious. Come on. You can't produce a thing, but you can give it up.
Prayed for a lady on a plane and didn't tell her anything about me, but she assumed I was a pastor and all she knew was my name was Dan. She was coming from a New Age conference to get cleansing in areas of her body. I got words of knowledge when I prayed for her and prayed for both those areas. I guess she got her cleansing. She was so freaked out and she said, "How did you pray? Why did you know to pray for that?" She was a good lady. She, she just had some misguided thoughts and was touched very wrong by Christians. Very wrong. Like, "You better come through Jesus. If you don't come through Jesus, you ain't coming at all. The only way to God is Jesus. He's the way, the truth, and life." See, we think that's gospel and we're doing people right. He didn't say that so you strongarm him through a hoop. He said it because he's the model for life and he's the truth about the Father and he modeled the life we were created for. And you better teach him that, not just strongarm him and say, "Well, he's the way and the truth and the life and you can't come to any God any other way but him." So, you're not coming to God at all. What is that? That's weird. It sure ain't love. It's legalism.
She didn't even want to talk to me when she found out I was a Christian. That doesn't work well with me because we're in seat belts and can't go anywhere. So, I tap her. "Hey, you're not really doing that, right?" "Doing what?" "Like turning and cutting me off and shutting down our conversation because we were really hitting it off and having a good time talking and now you found out who I am or what I do and you're gonna open a book and turn your body in the chair. Come on, you're kidding, right? You're not really doing that." She said, "Well, don't read into it. It's neither a good or bad thing. Don't make much of it." I said, "Honey, it's not a good thing." "Well, I just don't want to get into the whole debate of it all." "Debate of what all?" "The whole Christian thing." I said, "You know, I believe in my heart that if I say the name of Jesus, you'll hear a curse word." She said, "You're right." I said, "That's tragedy because I don't think anybody's taking the time with understanding to tell you the beauty of who he is."
"No, they just told me he's the only way. He's just the way. He's the way to God, and I can't come any other way." I said, "Did you ever get explained to why he is the way?" See, you believe he's the way. "Yeah, I do, but not in a strong-arm controlling way." "Dear, why don't you listen to the good news?" Till I was done, she was weeping. She never heard anything so beautiful. I said, "Can I bless you?" She said, "Please." When I prayed, I got two words of knowledge for her body. It's the reason she went to the place she went to for a cleansing.
You want that in your life. You don't want to just judge her and you don't want to write her off and you don't want to be afraid of her because she's spooky because she believes weird stuff. She went home and she typed on Google. I, there is a Google, right? You know I don't own a computer, right? It's why I'm so free. No, I'm kidding. I wouldn't even know how to use one if you said it in front of me. And it's not because I'm against him. Somebody said, "Do you think the computer's the Antichrist?" I said, "Stop it. It's so weird. Yes, the one-eyed beast. You are all being lured into the deception of the generations. And I am free." So weird. I just don't have the desire. Technology is not in me. It does nothing for me. I'm not even intrigued by it at all. I'm impressed by it in the sense that, wow, they could do that. But I don't feel a need to get my hands in it. I don't even want to. It's never been in me. I don't even want to turn on a computer. I'd rather open my Bible and just sit with him. I'd rather take a walk in the woods or go jogging or cast my fishing ball. I, I just don't have a desire to spend a minute on the computer. It's just me. I'm not judging you.
But she Googled to find me. She didn't know my name. But Dan, she assumed I was a pastor because I was traveling to preach. So Google, this is what she gave Google: "Pastor Dan who heals." Why? Because she went to baggage and got her bag off and every symptom and everything in her body was gone. And when she got home, there was nothing in her that was in her when she went for her cleansing. So I guess she got it. And I guess God didn't say, "Well, you should have came to me first. I don't know why you flew all the way across country to go to some meeting like that where I wasn't even at, you know." No, she sat me beside her. She now believes God sat me there. She's so precious. I don't know her well. We've only talked a few times, but she's so precious and thoughtful. She calls me every once in a while to say, "Dan, I'm not asking for anything. I know you're very pursued and busy. I realize that, you know, you're very known in Christendom. I just want to say I'm glad I got to meet you in my lifetime and I'm glad I know you. Bye." You do want those phone calls. That's amazing.
She typed into Google, "Pastor Dan who heals," and my face popped right up and everywhere you can find me on the internet. And I thought, you know what? Even Google knows we heal. We should probably stop fighting over if Google knows. And it's the internet, the almighty computer, and it has the knowledge that we heal. We probably ought to just say, [Applause] "Okay, you see how I pass time? We prayed for no one waiting. Here's what I do. I'm going to do this real quick. I'm going to try to pull this off. We're going to try to pull this off. You got to help me. You're going to flow with me. You going to be the church? Yeah. And if you need healing, you please be humble when you receive it. Don't get in some faith movement place and say, 'Oh, no. I'm just, I'm all right. I'm in faith. I'm just waiting for the manifestation. I'll just pray for my.' If you need healing, I want you to get prayer tonight."
Okay. First thing I want to do and only I only want these people to respond. Please, there's a reason. If you were healed tonight and you have need of healing and you were healed tonight, there'd be no way to know in the moment. There'd be no way to check or test. Time would have to tell. A test would have to tell. You'd have to do a hard day's work. You'd have to check your blood. If you were healed, you have a need of healing. There's a condition in your body. If you were healed, there'd be no way to truly test and know in the moment. You follow me? If that's you, stand to your feet. And only you right now, if you were healed, there'd be no way to check it and testify. There'd be no way to look at a symptom or identify that you were healed in the moment. You follow me? So, we're going to pray for all the sick if you'll let us. But this is how I want to start it. And there's a reason. I want to teach you something. Faith is never a point in time. It's never a hit, miss, win, or lose. We're not taking a stab at it. Faith is the position of your heart to believe what he accomplished. You follow me? So whether you see a manifestation in something or not, you have to be careful to learn what faith really is and trust the will of God and know that if you lay hands on the sick, they recover.
Here's what we're afraid of. We say, "Man, I just don't want to get involved because I'm afraid that nothing's going to happen." And because you don't get involved, you already got what you're afraid of. You don't step out. I heard it a thousand times and plus in the church. "Well, I don't pray for the sick 'cause, wonder if nothing happens." And you already got nothing because you won't pray. Here's the problem. We define nothing and think we get nothing when you release the kingdom. When you pray sincerely in faith, you release the kingdom. You lay hands on the sick and the sick shall recover. I've seen countless people just recover. I remember one time it was the grace of God. It was a gift of healing. I took a walker from a lady who was crippled for 10 years and I said, "Can I prophesy to you?" And she said, "Yeah." I took the walker. I didn't even look behind me. It was totally God. He overtook me. I didn't even know what I was doing. I grabbed the walker and just threw it behind me and it went bang crash. And I said, "Turn and run." And she turned and ran the whole way around the church and laid prostrate for a half hour on her face and ball. Just God, you don't have the ability to do that. I didn't pull that off. That was sovereign. That was a gift. That was a working of grace. Most the time we're praying a believer prayer of faith, sincerely laying hands on the sick and they shall recover. I've seen countless immediate bangs in my life and I've seen a whole lot of things that didn't seem to change at all only to see them go on to change in very short time. Not years, months, weeks, days, sometimes days. I've seen more than I can remember because Holy Spirit's teaching us how not to let go and how to believe, not take a stab at it and say, "I don't know why God didn't heal." It's a very limited phrase in the church because if you believe you're not receiving grace to be healed, then you're believing something's wrong with you or you're blocking it or you need to change something or there's some mystery behind your life and you're looking at other people that are healed instantly. And you can internalize that and take that personal. And the people that are praying for you could feel like they're unequipped and maybe we ought to get them because God sure moved through them. Come on. Are you guys with me? I've been around enough in this thing and I've seen this kind of thing happen time and time again and stumble us. You lay hands on the sick and the sick recover. Period. Period.
When you pray the prayer of faith, these people won't don't have a way if if you're all understanding me right, you don't have a way to check if you're healed in the moment right now when we pray. Right? So here's what you do. You pray the sincere prayer of faith. And here's what you do. You believe with all your heart God loves Quinty. And you ain't thinking, I wonder why he's going through that. I wonder what's that. Man, he's a man of God that God loves and God's spirit lives in him. And whatever's going on, man, we're believing it's coming out of him because God loves Quimby through Jesus Christ. He's given me authority to believe for him. He's given me authority to agree with him and pray with him. Be healed in Jesus name. You get it? Quimby has one response. Thank you, Father. Thank you, God, for loving me. Thank you for being my father. I appreciate you in my life. That's the only response you have.
See, you might not understand this. Well, let's do this quick and I'll let you all sit down. Put your hand on someone that's standing. Just reach out. Touch somebody, please with sincerity, with humility. We don't know what's wrong with them. I didn't take a survey. We didn't ask. God knows. God knows. You just begin to speak things over them like, "In Jesus' name, you be healed. All weakness, leave. All infirmity, leave. All sickness go in the name of Jesus Christ. Be restored and be made whole in this house. All sickness leave the body of these people that stood. Every limitation, every weakness and every infirmity come out of their bodies in Jesus name. Father, I thank you that you change diagnoses, you change and take away symptoms. I thank you you clean up and make blood whole. I thank you God that organs work right, that things function the way you created in Jesus' name be healed. Yes. And in Jesus' name be made whole." You speak that over them with sincerity, humility, and faith. You can't produce it. You release it because he loves the person you're touching. He heals because he loves them. He heals because the work is finished. He heals because he's amazing. He's faithful. He's God. In Jesus' name, let every situation be removed tonight, God. In Jesus' name, let bodies be made whole as they stand in your presence and as they stand in your love. Make it all new, King Jesus. By your blood and through your name in Jesus name. Amen. Amen.
Listen, if you were prayed for and you were standing, just do this with me. Just lift your hands. This isn't an act of works. This is just a response of it. You have one response. "Father, thank you. Thank you for what you do in me that you do for me, what you do through me. I receive your love. Father, thank you for healing me in Jesus name." You go to bed like that tonight. You thank him for that. You wake up and appreciate that in the morning. Amen. Amen.
Grab your seats quick. We're going to do something else quick. Okay. You guys all right or is it too late? Are you all sleepy or something? Good. You all good? Yeah. Can you tell I'm wearing out? It's ridiculous, man. The gospel. Okay, guys. Here we go. Okay, I'm having so much fun with you. This is family. We're family.
Here's what I want to do. We're going to pray for everybody in this place that needs healing, that needs the prayer of faith for healing. And now we're at a point where if you were healed instantly, or if you were changed, you would know it, right? That's the people group we're going to have standing. Is that true? Now, watch. I've seen, I've seen countless people healed instantly. I've seen countless people changed a whole lot, somewhat halfway. I'm just done wrestling over this stuff. I'm going to let faith be the position of our heart to believe we accomplished. I've watched countless people leave a service, not feel any change, but teach them how to respond to that. Not let their heart grow weary and not take it personal and not say, "Oh man, I thought tonight was the night." No, you thank God he loves you and he's doing such a good work in you through the blood of his son and you crawl in bed like that. I've seen countless people just last week we prayed for a whole lot of people and all of a sudden we were only down. We had six people that had no change. That was it. Just six people out of all these folks. That's actually like really a low number for what a lot of times people experience. Everybody else was either completely healed or dramatically changed. We had six people standing there that felt nothing change in their body. Now, I don't ask that to live by feelings and make that the end result. It's to teach us something that we never let our heart fall. We never take it personal. We never look around at people that are being healed and wonder what's wrong with me. It's the first instinct of people's mind. What am I doing wrong? Come on. If you were ever sick and prayed for and something didn't happen, that's been a temptation to folks. Be real with me. And I just try to blow that out of the water every chance I can.
This man had the gout so bad. I don't know if you know what that is, but it's a crystallizing thing in joints and in your his legs were so sensitive that if he'd have brushed against someone, he'd have screamed. He was so sensitive and and in pain and inflamed in his hand, he couldn't pick up a coffee cup with that hand. He said it would have just ravaged him with pain. It's not hard to have compassion. It's not hard to want him to be well. But it's amazing. We prayed three times over him and he's exactly the same. It ever happened to you? Do you ever see that before? We better answer it and we better address it so we don't turn faith into a point in time and get confused, rewrite a book that's already written. Have manuals out there. 30 reasons why men aren't healed. Jesus didn't have the manual in his back pocket. The only reason we wrote it is to try to explain away our experience in our troubled hearts. But it's at the cost of truth, which makes us free. And if you embrace one of those 30, you put a ceiling over the release of the kingdom of God in your life because it wasn't in Jesus's pocket. The manual was written through our experiences, not his life. Come on.
So I looked at that man and I looked at the six others and I said, "Listen guys, we're going to pray for you all again. And the temptation is to feel this and believe this and think this. Throw it away. You got one response tonight, especially if I have the microphone. Thank you for loving me, Jesus. Thank you for the work you're doing in me. Thank you for the restoration of all things. I worship you." It's the one response a Christian has. So, we prayed for all six of them and two of them kicked on and were completely healed right then. I'm like, whoa, this is intriguing. But we still got four standing. A lot of us don't want to pray for the sick because we don't know how to handle that because we're all, let's just tell the truth and let's just inspire their hearts and let's not get rational. Let's stay in faith. And so we prayed for the four and nothing changed. Prayed three times. So I told them they got one way to leave here, one response. And then I said, we're going to pray the prayer of faith over you. I want to teach you what it is. And I just said, "Father, I thank you. You're the healer in Jesus name. Be healed. Father, you finished the work through your son. And I thank you. You finish it in them. God, I thank you. What was released over them called the kingdom of God tonight manifest fully in their flesh in Jesus name." Behold, none of them changed and they went out the way they came physically. Sounds like defeat. Bummer.
Two of the four came back in the morning to Sunday service. The other two were from out of town or something like that. It wasn't their home church, but two of the four came back. The man walks in. He's full of the gout. He can't hold his coffee cup. He's the same. It's, it's heart-wrenching. The woman that that wasn't healed the night before was in a year ago in a head-on collision and was using a walker and she was kind of crippled in her spine and back. She said, "Hey guys, look what Jesus did." Laid her little wooden cane against the wall and went. She said, "I couldn't even think of doing that for a year." Hallelujah. Last night there was no way I could do that. She said, "Today I can." She said, "And I have no pain anywhere through my back. And I can't tell you how I, I can't explain how I know it, but I feel him doing a work up my spine." Boy, if we don't understand what I'm preaching, we failed the night before and bummer. And where's our anointing? And boy, we need a greater touch. And the man worship started. And they're singing a song about God being good and Jesus being our healer and all this good stuff that we sing because it's amazing revelation out there today. And he's sitting in his chair because he can't stand. His legs are a mess. And his, he goes, "God, you've been touching my heart these last two days. You've been taking the blinders off my eyes." This guy was being hard on his wife and he told me some stuff and he knew the Bible and been to Bible school stuff and and yet he was not a happy camper and he wasn't treating his family cool and but boy he could quote that Bible. He started repenting and he said, "God, you're doing a work of my life and I'm yielding to you. You've got my attention these last two days. You've taken the blinders from me and you know what? You are my healer and I trust in you and I just love you and thank you for what you're doing in my life." And every trace of gout in a second dropped off of him. He freaked out. He couldn't control it. And he testified and and he grabbed the cup and said, "Look at this." I couldn't his way. Woo! I stood up. It's completely free.
You know, we better teach ourselves not to let go. We better teach ourselves to position ourselves for the kingdom of God. So, we're going to pray for y'all. I don't want, I'm not being mean. Can you guys know? Do you know I love you? Can you tell that I love you guys? Did you know I didn't fly here to correct you? I flew here to tell us who we are and remind us who we are and add fuel to this fire and out of the mouths of two or more every words. I just came to co-labor with the cause and go, "Yay, God." I didn't come here to show you where you're not. I came here to show you where you're called. But because I travel and because I have testimonies, people single me. I don't even post my calendar anywhere. No one knows where I go unless you guys let somebody know through Facebook. I think that's a real thing because I don't carry a cell phone either. It's just my choice. But I know that stuff's out there. I hear them talk about it all. But you know why I don't put my calendar on the anywhere? Because people started coming for me, bringing their sick to sick and pulling me in the parking lots and pulling on my heart and crying and saying, "I drove 12 hours. You've got to come over to the car for Jenny. You've got to come and pray for Bobby. You've got..." And next thing you know, I couldn't even get in the church before four families would stop me and go through that thing and cry. And I understand they have need and they're really, but they're thinking I'm their answer and they're putting me in that tough position. I haven't even met the pastor yet. And I'm getting pulled all across the parking lot into cars to pray. And it's not even what I preach. It's anti-counterproductive to everything I'm preaching.
Let me tell you how strong I am in this. I was at my home church two years ago and these folks from the Middle East were in America and they drove a long way to see me with their children because they watch YouTube. And they're thinking, "If we can get to him and he could touch our kids, they'll be healed." We've been taught that stuff. At the end of the service, I said, "Listen, many of you are visiting and some of you probably came just to single me out or think I'm going to pray for all the sick. Listen, I love you guys and I'm doing what I'm called to do. If there's a gift in the body of Christ, let it train up and increase for the work of the ministry." Yay. There's a lot of Jesus in this room because there's a lot of us. So, I want everybody to pray for everybody. I'm going to orchestrate this thing and help it and facilitate it, but I don't want you coming to me for personal prayer. Jesus is going to do it through us. That's what I told them. You could feel the room sink when you say that stuff because there's people there and they came for one reason, for you to lay hands on them. And they feel disappointed. And it shows that we're not listening to the message. We just have need.
So, everybody's obeying that and I go over and I'm getting my stuff and and as a as a pastor, it's a joy to look out and see everybody loving each other and praying and some folks crying and oh my gosh, it's just joy. I'm just like I'm doing this lady comes running over and she's got a little baby in a blanket and she's three months old and she says, "Pastor Dan," I said, "Yeah, honey, I hear what you say. I know you say no pray and but I see that no one is around you and no one's paying attention and I just thought that maybe you could pray for my girl." I'm like, "Well, yeah, nobody's around, Cliff." I asked him not to be right now. You should be out there with somebody. But bless her heart, right? I'm not mad at her. I'm not going to say, "You're not listening to what I said." She's a three-month-old baby. She already captured my heart. It's just not even fair. I said, "Honey, what's wrong with your baby? She's so precious. How old is she? Three months." She said, "But she has this condition." She pulled down a blanket. She's got a little half leg. She's got a whole leg and a half leg. And the foot on her one leg goes a little past the knee on this leg. It's a thigh, a shin, a bone, everything. But it's miniature. It looks like a little doll baby. It's half the size of her other leg. I said, "Wow, that's amazing. It was She was born like that." "Yes. It's this condition. The pediatrician said this and this. And as she grows older, it'll just stay little, just a little piece of leg." I said, "You believe God can fix that leg? You believe God?" She says, "Of course he can. He is God." I said, "Good answer. Let me tell you why he can and why he would." And I began to share his love. It just came out of my heart. And I looked down as I was talking. We didn't pray. I just looked down and her leg in front of our eyeballs. It looked like you blew it up with an airport. It just turned into the other leg. I said, "Don't drop your little girl, but look at what God's doing." She and her leg. They took her back to the pediatrician. He measured her. He's freaked out. His mind is a little confused. Measured her and she's, she's more normal than normal if you follow me. Not everybody's exact increments. There's always a little bit when you measure. There's a little bit here and there. All she was perfectly, perfectly perfect. Of course, she would have been.
Now, she did what you might have done and I understood what she did, but it's not good. She scoops her or she turns from me and runs to her husband who has their son with spina bifida who's never tried to crawl, who's never tried to walk. He's never tried to crawl, let alone walk. Couple years old, she runs and she's whispering to him and I go, "Oh no, I, I see what's coming." I went, "God, here we go." He goes, "Oh my God." He runs to our people and grabs his boy from their arms and runs to me. He has need. It's his boy. I get it. But it's not what God's saying. He runs to me and he says, "This is amazing, Pastor Dan. You pray for my daughter. She is healed. Here, you must pray for my son." Now, you might not be able to do this and you might not understand this, but I can do this because I understand this. I said, "I can't and I'm not going to, sir. I watched you snatch him out of the hands of people and run him to me, and if anything changes in your boy, it'll be my fault, not Jesus's. Those people have him just like I do. You're doing the very thing I ask you not to do. Yes. Yes. But he healed my daughter through you and you pray." "That's because your wife brought her to me. I asked her not to. I just humbly prayed. You snatched your boy out of their hands. Why didn't you let them pray?" I said, "Sir, how many people have been surrounding him and touching him and praying? Many, many of your people, they have been very loving. And now you're subverting all that and bringing them to me. And if I pray, whatever changes end result is, it's because I prayed. I'm not praying for your boy. I bless what the people spoke over him and I bless God's will towards your son. You cannot do this. You must pray for him." "We drove a long way. We come five hours just to see you." "I know that's a problem. I said, "Listen to me, sir. Don't you leave here offended. Don't you leave here deceived. You've got one option. Thank you for what you've done in my daughter and thank you for what you're doing in my son. I worship you, God. Thank you for your unstoppable love." I could see he's not even hearing me now. He's living in the bittersweet. Win, lose, healed, not healed. I could see it. I said, "Sir, don't you leave this way. Don't you deceive yourself this way." He's like, "I must leave. I can't." And he leaves. This is a tough one. And I said, "Hey, even if you don't listen to me, I'm going to rejoice in one thing. I teach these people how to never let go. So even if you choose not to do right, they know how to have a good day." That's what I did. They go to a hotel. So he lays his boy on the carpet and he's the same. He's, "God, this is crazy. You heal my daughter, you don't heal my son. We get one and we get none. We get this and we don't get this. How can you eat?" Makes total sense to the rational mind. They drive for five hours home. It's a quiet ride in the car and the whole time his mind is building a case against him. He gets home, he doesn't even want to face deal with the kids. He's mad. He doesn't even want to talk. He just says, "You just take the kids." He grabs luggage. He's in the bedroom. He's slamming clothes around. It's the next day. His wife starts screaming loudly, "What is it? What is it?" There in the middle of his playroom is this little boy standing looking around. God's so merciful. He's doing nothing right. He gets out his cell phone. My man. And he turns it on record and records his boy walking to the playpen for the first time in his life. Why? Because God said stand. You say, "But there's atrophy. He's never crawled." Let alone, well, God said stand.
They come to church a month later. Pastor says, "Would you stand up and testify of your daughter?" They never called us and told us about the boy. They came back a month later intending to tell us, but boy did they drop one on us. They get up and testify of the girl. They show her legs. They talk about the pediatrician. Everybody's freaked out. Jesus, ra. It's awesome. He looks to me and he weeps and he says, "Pastor Dan, I must apologize. You are a man of wisdom and I did not listen to you. I was so caught up in the moment and the feelings of my son and I feel so robbed. I feel like God healed and we win but God doesn't heal and we lose and you tried to speak to me and I do not listen." He said, "We went home and I was very angry and I was this and I was that." He told the whole story about his wife screaming and he said, "I go to the room and and he's telling we're all sitting like this and he tells the story and everybody's like, but his boy's just clinging to him. He just looks like he looked before. He's just holding on hugging. He whispers to him, sits him down and he runs to his mother. He turns to me and he says, "Pastor Dan, I did nothing right. God is so merciful. Thank you for teaching your people to never let go." "You're welcome, sir. Jesus." Oh, you see what's wrong with me. Got to tell you stuff like that so you understand. Well, I don't believe you. That's the problem in the church. Unbelief is a problem. Please stop boasting in it. Unbelief is a problem. Because watch this. Even if I was lying through my teeth in a sicko, that book says he's a healer. So what's it matter? [Laughter] Yahoo.
If you're sick tonight in your body and you were healed and you would know it, I need you to stand up for prayer. I knew there were a couple wheelchairs. If you can't stand up, I understand and want to honor that. Just at least wave your hand. Honestly, not everybody in a wheelchair won't pray all the time. I've learned that. Uh, I always ask people if they want me to pray for them. Stand to your feet, everybody in this place. Come on. There's more people that need healing in this place. Please stand. Don't, don't stay in your chair. If you got any kinds of arthritis symptoms, why would you sit? Stand up. Let's get rid of them things. Just believe. Come on. Just stand to your feet. If your body doesn't feel like wholeness, stand to your feet, please. Listen. If you were prayed for a hundred times, it's okay. Don't, don't identify with that. Identify with the freshness of what you're hearing, the faith in the room, and the preaching of the gospel, and stand up in the will of God. Amen. Come on. Stand up. I'm, I'm being, I'm not being mean. I know I still don't have everybody for some reason. I need like eight more people to show to stand up. You're, you need healing in your body. Please stand up. Why would you sit? Don't sit. Okay. Good. Good. Good.
Okay, guys. Now, here's what we're going to do. The people sitting, you're my team. The people standing, there's nothing wrong with you. You're not less than the people sitting. And Jesus loves you the same. You're just in the midst of an experience. You're going through a challenge or whatever. Don't take it personal. Don't get in a quandary. Let's receive the love of God tonight. Let's not be judged by our circumstance or sickness. Let's be judged by his love. Amen. And we can come out of this thing clean. The people sitting, I really look around. There's a lot of people standing. And the people sitting, I'm really going to need to enlist you. If you're totally uncomfortable and totally against this and don't want to do this, then don't. I'm not going to make you, but I would love you to participate. It would be fun. You have, you can't lose. You can't fail. You're stepping out and believing. You're laying hands on the sick, and the sick shall recover. You're releasing something that God paid for. It's the kingdom of God on earth. Come on. It's not about you praying right. It's about you believing right. And it's about you getting in the game because we're on offense, not defense. We've got the ball. That's score tonight. Yeah.
So, here's what I need you to do. I want to do this in order. I want to do this as a family, okay? There's a lot of people with training. There's a lot of people with teaching. We as leaders here in Heartland and we don't even know everybody in the room. So, we don't want you just praying your teaching and where you came from in your circle or whatever. There's one thing I want you to do tonight. In Jesus' name, be healed or pain you leave in Jesus name. Whatever the situation, rotator cuff, rotator cuff, you be healed. You be mended. You flex and you bend without restriction.
