When you think of luxury, what comes to mind? For most clients, it's a feeling of exclusivity, sophistication, and care. And how do we reflect that in our conversations? Through our choice of words, of course.
Take the word "deposit." In everyday life, it's ordinary. It's associated with utility bills or booking a hotel room. But in luxury, we don't ask for deposits. We talk about "initial investments." The word "investment" suggests value, something long-term. That's a small shift that elevates the conversation, making the client feel like they're entering into a relationship with something of worth.
Here's another example. In luxury, we don't "sell." Instead, we help clients "acquire" or "obtain" something exceptional. It's deliberate, thoughtful. It suggests the client has earned it. It makes the experience feel prestigious, not transactional.
