[Music] If you clicked on this video and you are a brother or sister in Christ, but unfamiliar with my channel, let me begin by stating for the record that I am not a Mormon, nor do I want to convert you to Mormonism. I hope what I'm about to say doesn't offend anyone, but as Jesus said, the truth will set you free. You should soundly reject any unbiblical doctrine found in Mormonism.
However, you should definitely check out the Book of Mormon as it may be the most powerful witness against Mormonism on the planet, plainly and convincingly teaching against many Mormon doctrines. But how can this be? And if it's true, why would missionaries hand out copies of the Book of Mormon? Well, first of all, faithful Mormons are generally blind by the traditions and the teachings of the church. And so, more often than not, they don't even comprehend what the Book of Mormon actually says, though it is written as plain as day. This is a little like, you know, a Christian who unquestionably believes whatever their pastor says, but doesn't really know the Bible for themselves.
The church sends out missionaries and Book of Mormons knowing that the truth found in the Book of Mormon will make a lot of converts. And it does, for it is a powerful testimony of Jesus. And by Jesus, I mean the Jesus of the Bible and not Mormon Jesus, which was developed later on, well after the Book of Mormon was published. Using a fishing allegory, the LDS church uses the Book of Mormon as a lure. But along with the worm, which is good food, they also hope that you will swallow hook, line, and sinker and join their church. Because after all the argument goes, if the book is true, then their church must be as well. Right? Wrong.
Because this book does not belong to them. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which builds temples, whose members wear sacred undergarments, practice baptism for the dead, and once upon a time practice polygamy, is not the church or the movement that the Book of Mormon actually sprang from. That's right. The Book of Mormon was brought forth in a small unorganized church in 1829. It was more like a Pentecostal church than anything resembling Mormonism. That church would later organize in 1830 under the name the Church of Christ.
Everything you know that is wrong with Mormonism came years after the publication of the Book of Mormon. And when that corruption began to occur, the Lord actually spoke to this group of people. And he told them that the entire church had come under condemnation both for forgetting the new covenant and also treating lightly the Book of Mormon that they had received. But instead of repenting, they continued in their heirs and and multiplied those errors and even changed the name of the church to be the church of latterday saints. Ironically, the Book of Mormon literally has a passage explaining that Christ's church should be named after Christ. And if a church is named after men, it is the church of men and not Christ. And here they had renamed their church the Church of Latter-day Saints. Now the new church name may have made it all too obvious for even its own members that something may have been a miss because they later added Christ back into the name in 1838 and thereby changing it to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But at this point, it didn't really matter what the name of the church was, for it had long departed from its original tenants and from the Bible. And the Book of Mormon, the Book of Mormon had brought about a revival in 1828 and in 1829 with all of the spiritual gifts present in the church, talking of tongues and prophecy and healings. You will not find those gifts in the Mormon church today.

The surprising truth is the Book of Mormon doesn't belong to Mormonism or really to any church. In fact, there are many different publications of the Book of Mormon that are published by any number of groups. There are dozens of churches that use the Book of Mormon as scripture along with the Bible which are not affiliated at all with the Utahbased LDS church. Almost none of those other churches practice polygamy were even aware that that was a doctrine that was a part of the church after Joseph Smith had been killed.
Over the years, many Jews and Christians have discovered the Book of Mormon independently and come to cherish it as the word of God. I personally in my own life know three men who were not affiliated with any sect of Mormonism and they were not investigating any of the churches when they first came across the Book of Mormon and they received a testimony of it independent of those churches. Two of them were Pentecostal and the other a Baptist. Another dear friend of mine came from the Methodist church and later received his own powerful testimony of the Book of Mormon. And these four men are close personal friends of mine. Just recently, a new listener to the podcast reached out uh who was once from Pentecostal background and then converted to Catholicism. and he has recently read the Book of Mormon and received a witness of it, but does not wish to participate in any particular sect of Mormonism as he recognizes the truth as do I.
There is but one church of Christ and that church knows no denominational boundaries as all those who repent and come under Christ making a covenant with God in the waters of baptism are a part of his church. You don't have to go join some earthly organization. This will be the first in a series of videos I am doing where we will explore the purposes of the Book of Mormon and what it adds if anything to the Bible and also present compelling evidence for that record both external evidence and evidence through internal textual analysis and a great many other things I wish to discuss with you particularly in the prophecies found in the Bible.
I was born raised in the reorganized church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but I have walked away from that tradition. I am now a member of the church of Christ, which is not an earthly organization and Christ alone is its head. This journey began after a crisis in my life. After which I had a conversion experience, making a personal covenant with God. After this, I read the Bible cover to cover with the Holy Spirit attending my study and teaching me. After I finished the Bible, I offered to God to burn my copy of the Book of Mormon if he wanted me to do so. At this time in my life, I can tell you I had no particular desire for that book to be true. I only wanted to know what the truth was regardless of what that meant. I was for God and God alone. And this because I believed the words of Jesus that the truth will set you free. And I still do. That same spirit of God that had attended my reading of the Bible and bore witness to the truths in the Bible also attended my studies of the Book of Mormon. And when I had finished these two books, I knew there were major issues with the traditions of the RLDS church and by extension all of Mormonism. 30 years of study, experiences, and revelation has brought me to where I am now, and the learning continues. I invite everyone who watches this podcast to walk their own journey with the Lord and draw your own conclusions about these things with prayer and fasting and guidance from the Holy Spirit.
In 2007, the voice of the spirit told me that there would be a great harvest out of the LDS church. In 2020, beginning with a worldwide pandemic and then an earthquake which struck Salt Lake City that knocked the trumpet out of Moroni's hand at top the Mormon temple. Members of the LDS church began to awaken and question the church. The Book of Mormon then and now remains at the very center of Mormons waking up. Waking up from the lies of the church and coming into a deeper relationship with the authentic Jesus Christ.
So what does the Book of Mormon add, if anything, to the Bible? We will be answering that question throughout this series, but it will help if we know what is the purpose of the Book of Mormon. We'll begin with the title page, which was the last statement made by the final chronicler who wrote on the plates, which would later be known as the Book of Mormon. And here it is. Let's break this down and hit the highlights. Who was this written for? While it is written to both Jew and Gentile, its primary audience is intended to be for the Lammonites, whom Joseph Smith understood to be the ancestors of certain Native American tribes in North America, who are a remnant of the house of Israel. What is the purpose of this book? to show unto the remnant of the house of Israel what great things the Lord has done for their fathers and that they may know the covenants of the Lord and that they are not cast off forever and also to the convincing of the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ the eternal God. Well, that's an interesting statement right there. That in itself confronts certain tenants and doctrines in Mormonism, and we'll talk about that later in this series. And that this Christ, who is God, manifests himself unto all nations. So, that's a bit of an introduction to the Book of Mormon and a place to start.
But why am I doing this series? If you already have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, then that is what is most important to me. You don't have to believe in the Book of Mormon to have a relationship with God. One of the purposes of the Book of Mormon is to lead people to Christ who do not know him. But just like the Bible, if you already believe in Christ, the Book of Mormon can and will serve to strengthen your relationship with him and bring greater understanding regarding many of the prophecies contained in the Bible, which to be honest, I have found that Christianity is largely clueless about. But then again, so is Mormonism. My focus will always be Christ centered and inviting people to a deeper relationship with him. But as I sought direction from him, he has shown me that where he is headed, he is taking the Book of Mormon with him and his intentions are to join it with the Bible. And that for our benefit, we can see a prophecy about this in second Nephi in the Book of Mormon. Wherefore the fruit of thy loins shall write, which is the Book of Mormon, and the fruit of the loins of Judah shall write, which is speaking of the Bible. And that which shall be written by the fruit of thyloins, and also that which shall be written by the fruit of the loins of Judah, shall grow together unto the confounding of false doctrines and laying down of contentions and establishing peace.
I will assert here now that Christianity has some false doctrines and beliefs. And if you are a Christian, you most certainly must know that Mormonism has many false doctrines and beliefs as well. And the cure for this is in the word of God. Furthermore, I believe that the two witnesses written about in the book of Revelation, who are slain and left dead in the streets, but then resurrected before the eyes of the whole world and lifted up, are symbolically speaking, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. We'll get more into that later.
A couple of months ago, I felt led to study in preparation for this series. Much of what I present in the series comes from that study. But I'm always on the lookout for a course correction. And so I recently questioned whether I should really do this series. And while in prayer over it, the spirit showed me a short vision which I will now demonstrate to you. In the vision, I saw a globe of the earth in the hands of the Lord with the focus being on the cradle of civilization. basically the lands we find written of in the Bible. And those lands are at the very center of a grouping of continents in what we call the eastern hemisphere of the earth. And with this vision, I saw the Bible paired with these lands. Everything we read about in the Bible took place in this hemisphere. In fact, up until just 600 years ago, everything we understood about human history took place in that hemisphere. The spirit then said, "In the beginning, God made the earth and all that is in it. And for everything he does, there is a purpose." And then the Lord's hands turned the globe to the Western Hemisphere. And with this hemisphere, I saw the Book of Mormon paired with it. That was the entire vision. But it was filled with implications and deeper meaning.
There were 500 nations stretching from North to South America when the Europeans first sailed to the New World. Who were these indigenous people groups that they discovered? Where did they come from? How long have they been here? In North America, long before the native tribes that the Europeans encountered even existed, there were two ancient but advanced civilizations that previously existed, which were then wiped out suddenly. What we now call the Adena and the Hopewell. Stories passed down by certain tribal elders of various tribes have stated that the mounduilders were a lightkinned Indian whom they had killed off. Who were these people? What was God's plan for them? How did they get here? Did they know the God of Israel? And did they know Jesus?
I recently watched a video by a Christian theologian who theorized that it might be possible that the United States of America might be destroyed before the last day prophecies actually come to pass. And his reasoning for this was that America does not appear in the Bible. And since the US is the foremost superpower in the world, how could they not play a role in last day events? Now, he's wrong, of course. The United States is in the Bible, but not by that name. Plays a major key role in last day prophecy. But Christianity is blind to it. Their eyes are focused instead entirely on the Eastern Hemisphere on a small nation that came into existence in 1948 and they have failed to understand the prophets. So this is part of what we will get into along the way. I have a lot of information to cover regarding the Book of Mormon, but I will break this information into smaller chunks and keep the videos relatively short and thereby making them easier to digest.
Well, if any of this sounds interesting to you, or if you are questioning whether or not the Book of Mormon is true, or if you don't know much about the Book of Mormon, and you have simply assumed that this is where Mormons must get the doctrine of polygamy or the exaltation of man or temple ordinances or that God was once a man, you're going to be surprised.
