Transiting Mercury to Natal Uranus

Truth In Aspect Astrology/ Jewel36:30

So we are working through Mercury Uranus today, and we know that Mercury is about the delivery of the message and has a speedy quality to it, a restlessness because messages, uh, by nature are transmitted. They aren't something that, uh, well, they can be received by the final, you know, by the final receiver, but they are something that indicates movement along lines of transmission. So Mercury delivers the messages of the organs of consciousness between each other, the mind, and how the messages reach the mind, how they travel along the nervous system. So we have the nervous system itself, the system of delivery. Uranus here, Mercury is the message, Uranus is the broad system of, of delivery and, um, not very much the regulator of and the receiver of, in a broader sense, then, um, receiver of the messages of the organs of consciousness, which are represented by the signs. Every sign signifies an organ of the body: the head, the heart, the skin, the organs of elimination, the intestines, the knees, back, the ankles, feet. All the signs represent a part of the body or system. And when we have Mercury transits to Uranus, we have a clearer, with the easy aspects, we have a clearer receiving messages. The nervous system is better able to receive, perceive, um, successfully distribute information. Our intuition is, is high. It is high with all of the transits from Mercury to Uranus, but it can be too busy to interpret clearly, correctly, or concisely. When we have the hard transits, I don't think that any of the transits for Mercury to Uranus are bad. Um, I think that they are all beneficial in the sense that they're going to bring us some measure of beneficial information, but whether it's something we have to sift through, uh, whether it's something that we approach more in a sloppy, uh, yeah, I guess a sloppy way where we lack mindfulness, um, that's something that remains to be seen, uh, depending on the the geometric angle, you know, the aspect, and how we handle these particular transits. If we already have a speedy mind, we already have an aspect for Mercury to Uranus, especially if it's a hard aspect from our natal chart to Uranus, even a minor hard aspect is going to increase the tempo of what is already there. So that can be something that will add to the possibility of sloppiness or mistakes, overthinking, overdoing, um, overstimulation. If we have a slow Mercury, say if it's coming through an earth sign or it's in, you know, especially in an earth house or in a house that implies a slower pace or where we approach something in a more methodical way, this is something that can be more beneficial than anything because it will increase what is normally slow. So if it increases what is normally fast, we need to know that we need to look at that. We need to look at how is Mercury already functioning? Is it already nervous? Is it already restless? Are we going to, are we already going at 50 miles an hour and then we're going to add another 50? Or are we going 25 miles an hour and we're going to add another 50? Faster pace than usual, but it's not so fast that we cannot absorb, we cannot take in, and we cannot appreciate, by the way, and effectively use what it is that we learn and come up with. What we, in it, there is that possibility of losing our effectiveness. Mercury has a very effective quality to it. It's the natural ruler of Virgo, where we want to achieve maximum effectiveness and, um, avoid, uh, waste. Sixth house, or really very much about the concept of.

Alrighty, so when we have the conjunction between Mercury and Uranus, it is a very stimulating day, I don't care who you are. Um, if you have a slow Mercury, this is going to pep you up. If you got a fast Mercury, watch out because you may have so many things coming at you at once in terms of tasks, uh, incoming communication, ideas, interests, myriad sources of information. Um, we are extremely curious, open, um, and, uh, potentially massively overstimulated. With the conjunction, we may not be able to sleep with this one, um, because we are so interested and multi-tasking. We can lose our singular focus, but it does make it possible for us to bring in at least bits of information that we would normally be filtering out because we are more singularly focused. Um, we are curious about what is out of the normal scope of what it is that we usually think about, what it is that we're even, uh, concerned with. All of the transits from Mercury to Uranus bring a very curious quality, uh, regarding what's out of the norm. So we are looking to solve problems, even in ways that are more innovative. And the, the curiosity, the mental flexibility, the willingness to look at things that normally we would filter out because we are so focused on what we're used to being focused on, we may find something out. We may get a clue or a piece or a solution to something that finally, finally breaks the cycle of something we have not been able to solve. We have this opportunity. All of the transits from Mercury to Uranus, conjunction, the sextile, the trine, are most, uh, beneficial. It is most common for finding really good answers. So our intuition is big and broad with the conjunction from Mercury to Uranus, but we are not necessarily able to effectively process what it is that we're finding out. And we can be referencing so many new things or new avenues. It can take a while for that information to distill and for us to get the core of it, the synthesis of it. So with all the hard transits for Mercury to Uranus, they peak, and then we have a process of filtering or figuring out what really works, or redoing what they're coming back to, or rethinking on what it is the conclusions that we came to, the, the solutions that came to us, the information that came to us. So we, it's like we, it's very much like when you go to the bookstore and you're interested in a variety of books, you buy five or six and you flip through them all and you get a pretty good idea of what's in there. You might even, uh, find some gems in there and you're like, yep, I'm buying this one, definitely. I already see something that works for me. But we have to sit and read through them completely over the course of a month or weeks, however nerdy you are. So there's a process that we have to go through. We get glimpses and then we go through a more complete process of, um, filtering through, distilling, and remembering, and then putting into real action what it is that we learn because we have so many. It's like we're standing in front of a tennis ball machine and they're all firing at us when we have any of the hard transits from Mercury to Uranus. So when you're hit with that many balls, you catch as many as you can, but you don't have time to count them yet. So sit on it for a while. We don't want to act immediately on the conclusions that we come to because they're not quite complete. They're still percolating. Be careful with driving. All of the aspects or Mercury to Uranus, particularly the hard aspects, the easy aspects not so much, aren't really something that put us in such a rush. But Mercury is specifically cars and transit, and we're talking about a fast pace where we are necessarily, we're taking a lot in. We aren't necessarily totally focused. So we can have more things related to transit or movement, driving in particular, jumping to conclusions. Oh, this is a big one. This is why we want to sit on what it is that we're taking in because we may not completely understand what it is that we have learned or that we've seen or intuited. So we can have gaps in our arguments. We can have half-baked arguments. So, you know, let it be days to weeks go by when we have this, uh, conjunction before we really leap into, uh, opinionating or publishing that scientific paper because it may not have everything in it as concisely as we want it to be. So we can have some regrets about our hastiness. Absolutely, with these hard transits.

Alright, so that brings us to the sextile. Oh, these are not the transits to get a massage either. These are not the transits to do that, um, unless you are talking to the masseuse the whole time and they're willing to talk back to you. I myself like a quiet masseuse. Um, yeah, talk a little bit, but I am probably going to fall asleep and jerk around a little bit. Please don't tell anybody. It's embarrassing. We will jerk around more than we have. We usually do that when we have Mercury Uranus, um, natal aspects. I have this exact sextile between Mercury and Uranus. When we do go to sleep or when we relax, we can experience more jerks or jolts as we are going into that resting state, a way of the nervous system, you know, expelling, uh, the tension that it needs to before we can go into that, uh, more receptive state. There's a, um, is it a, uh, yeah, a nervousness or a tension that we have to work out in terms of movement. That's funny. Yeah, when I start sleeping with a new dude, I definitely have to explain myself when it comes to the jerkiness, when it comes to falling.

All right, so the sextile. This is a great transit to have. We know that sextiles have the qualities of Mercury already. Um, uh, Mercury, the third house, sextiles, Gemini, they all have that same archetypal meaning. They belong to the same thing. So we are all about what's new, um, collecting bits and pieces of things, and we might put them together well. We solve puzzles well. And in the moment, we don't often have to sit on what it is that we learn because we take in information in a less fractured, um, lack of mindfulness way. With the sextile, we have more of an organization ability. Organization is just something we always associate with sextiles because we have this wonderful ability to correctly see and interpret past and future, um, and the way we're standing in the present, our interpretation of, you know, what we're looking at and how we apply that in the present moment, me positive, apply that positivity in the present moment, and it grows into the future moment. It's applied into the future moment. It's an assumption of networking, positivity, help, and, um, cooperation. So we are ready to cooperate with others' ideas, opinions, and we are inviting what other people think that they know. They're curious, very open. It's a very eclectic day. We love to take short trips when we have Mercury Uranus transits, and they can be something that can be very educational. We could go somewhere, find something, meet somebody that has that piece, we get a piece of the puzzle, a significant piece of the puzzle. We might even find the last piece of the puzzle. One of the sextile or trine, um, we learn new things about old friends, or we may make new friends. That the sextile and the trine are very similar. That, I think, is our our willingness to network in ways that typically we lack the flexibility for or the openness for that allows us to receive and, uh, perceive and intuit information in just an extremely beneficial way. We really lack a prejudice, a prejudgment. When we have sextiles and trines, we're steeped in it when we have particularly squares and oppositions. May not know that we have a prejudgment, a, uh, a plan in place, or an idea in place when we have a conjunction, um, but, you know, what we would see as hard or as taxing under the sextile, we can really see that as something that doesn't hold the usual weight. It, it's not as intimidating in terms of finishing or solving something. Um, we don't like routine. Although with the easy transits, it's not so much that we find external things disruptive to us. We are more willing to do things differently from the inside out, but that's not in response to ex, what appears to be external to us. We're making those choices on our own. Um, we are curious about what we would normally think is weird in terms of new subjects. New subjects are always going to draw us when we have any transits from Mercury to Uranus, and these can be subjects that we would normally, you know, think are a little weird or woo-woo. Us, we may pick up a new subject under any of these transits because we're bored. What, what is normal?

Okay, that brings us to the square. So whatever plans, whatever ephemeral plans or routine plans we have, may not work in the way that we think that they should when we have the square. We, we do have more disruption with the square and the opposition, like particularly with the square, more disruption from outside influences or what appears to be external. We, we ourselves are internally disrupted. We are chaotic, and so we will see that on the outside of us. Um, it's very hard to keep up with the pace of the day, pace of the week. We can have more work coming in. We can have more things going off the rails. It's like a big Mercury retrograde in terms of having so many tennis balls coming at us out of that tennis ball machine that it's going to take a while for us to address everything in itself completely. So we're able to make cursory progress, may taking off a little bit of the boxes, but it's going to take us days to weeks to filter through everything that comes in. So we can make mistakes. That's kind of the nature of this one. Um, don't have an expectation of perfection. Just do the best that you can. And, um, we might receive some information or some bits and pieces that if we filter through and consider more carefully over the course of days to weeks, we find can, could be very beneficial. We can have good things get lost in the fray, get lost in the busyness. We can even come to really good conclusions or have an insight and then lose it because there's so much going on. Often it will come back. So we'll remember it again, particularly at the trine. Uh, we can recall what has been lost, but was enlightening. But, you know, we usually at least at the time get some good things out of this. But again, it's, it's, it's, it's a lot of feast when it comes to what, um, might be good for us. Um, we just don't completely know. We're very scattered. We could be fascinated by what is not normal, and that's one of the reasons why we have so much coming in at us. Is that fascination is just leading us to look at new things in addition to what we already have going on? There's just a lot on our, a lot. We can feel very overwhelmed. Sleep going to be very hard. Settling down going to be very hard. It's best to move rather than have an expectation that we should be relaxing. That'll come, but this is a peak in receiving and having to filter.

All right, so that brings us to the trine. Very stimulating. I'm having this this week, a few more days, and it'll be exact. I'm liking this. The trine brings us a time where our intuition, our objectivity, what we're allowing in, our mental flexibility, and our tolerance for new information, that's very high. So we can get a lot out of the trine, a lot out of the sextile too. Very beneficial transits. Um, at the trine, though, because because trines have this far-reaching ninth house, Jupiter, Sagittarius way about them, we can achieve a lot of objectivity or perspective in a smaller amount of time. We can understand what might be true. These are extremely enlightening transits. Glad we get them twice a year. So because we are more open, objective, and taking things less personally, it allows us to see what really might be. And there's not a resistance that we can encounter in terms of the, the established structures of beliefs, morality, thinking. We might even entertain some conversations with people that we would normally think are morally incorrect or, uh, have ideological opinions that we could find even disgusting. We might listen to what they have to say, and it can be educational. We might even change a viewpoint. So the broadness of our thinking is extremely helpful in in terms of having us not be focused on what is we need to think ourselves up. Oh no, Jewel, you froze. So we are not as concerned, uh, with maintaining ideas or opinions that are more supportive of our current ego structure. It can just be more flexible, open, and approach things with more humility than we normally would. And I think it's our lack of, of, of barriers, of mental barriers, of being afraid of what we might learn that could trigger some of our death anxiety because that's what trines are about, and Jupiter and all that. It's the balm. It's comfort to our death anxiety. Um, we may change some our stories, or add to them, or have them deviate to be more true. Uh, what else? Taking a trip, new subjects, intensely curious. Um, yeah, really, really good stuff to try, and I'm, I'm loving this one. This is helpful for me this week.

All right, that brings us to the opposition. With the difficult aspects, we know we have a faster pace. We can have a lot of informational tennis balls coming in at us. With the opposition, we can directly see it as other people are bringing too much to us too soon. It's not so much the environment as it is specific to to others. Um, so the pace, uh, the problems, even that people are bringing to us, we can see that there's, there's too much going on, and we could receive information from others that can help us solve problems, and we may be able to share something that can help them solve a problem. We're restless. We're making mistakes. We are not looking at things completely. With the opposition, you already have restless legs. Don't go to bed that night. There's so much that we're going to have to respond to, and there may even be a part of us that's like, oh my God, I just want to rest. I can't take that anymore. I can't take it anymore. There will be more that comes in that we have to respond to. We do get a lot, a lot out of this, but after we have a chance to file away, filter through, think about it, um, we can make serious mistakes because we can just be like, I have too much on my plate. Boom, boom, boom, that's off. And then we look back the next day and we're like, oh God, I have to double back. We can waste time and energy with this opposition. I think that that's kind of inherent in it. Yeah, even if we try not to, I think there is going to be some amount of doubling back we're going to have to do, just such as the nature of having so many things that you can't completely absorb. Um, so just don't turn anything in unless you have a chance to take another look at it. There is probably going to be some things that we have to address or erase or add to, but we can have a pretty good core to work with. It helps us to necessarily become more flexible and able to respond to more than we usually would, kind of a being forced to get on a treadmill and build up that heart muscle so we can go a little bit faster. So because we've been exposed to a faster tempo, we have a bit more of a tolerance for it. If you already have a really fast tempo, you'll get used to it being a little bit faster, and you probably will make more mistakes than others. Be extremely careful in transit, whoever you are, however Mercury is aspected, be careful. We tend to cut corners. We tend to run red lights. We tend to feel like, God, I'm late. There's too much going on here. I'm just going to drive in the bike lane this one time, and we can get pinched for it. We, we will make mistakes that in the moment we're like, I, I'm pushed towards this by my lack of time or, uh, consideration of what the outcome is going to be. So this reminds me, oh my God, oh God, this reminds me of this time. I wonder if the kid that was on this bike was having the opposition. Me and my husband, my ex-husband, we pulled up to a red light. I think we're, we're in our Prius. We pull up to a red light, and there's this teenager coming across the crosswalk on a bike, and he has his head down, and he's on his bike, and he runs his bike into our car and flips himself over the hood. We were at a standstill. We were hit by a bike. Usually, you know, when you're on a bike, you're hit by a car, but the car was hit by a bike. So he flips himself over the, the hood of the car, gets to the other side, stands up, looks around like this, picks up his bike, gets on it, and continues to ride away like nothing happened. So it, we are not noticing everything that's coming at us. And in transit, we could be susceptible to accidents. So watch where you could be even one of those moments where you're on your phone and you end up walking straight into a fountain.
