If we know our goal, we can optimize our way to lower entropy and find the tools to achieve it faster. I believe this allows us to be more efficient in the process. However, we often lack access to the behind-the-scenes workings of our physical reality. This is typically excluded from the primary set of rules, and most people struggle to see the bigger picture. Wouldn't it be more efficient to lower entropy if everyone could see the bigger picture on demand? Surprisingly, it would not; it would actually be a slower process.
The reason is that if growing up were merely an intellectual process—based on understanding everything behind the scenes—then that assertion might be valid. But growing up is not purely intellectual. If someone had all that understanding without having to earn it, they would likely game the system. For instance, people might pretend to be kind and caring when it suited them, but that does not ensure genuine change or personal growth. It simply provides the "right answers" without fostering real understanding.
Analogously, providing students with the answers to a test might help them pass but does not actually contribute to their learning. Similarly, giving people the answers does not facilitate genuine growth because growing up is not an intellectual endeavor. The growth process must happen from within. You cannot take a six-year-old child and simply teach them how to grow up. They might learn to act more like adults, but this would not be beneficial for their development; it could lead to neurotic behavior, as they would be pretending to be something they are not.
Authenticity is crucial in the growth process. Your choices should be representative of who you are. If someone chooses to express anger, that choice reflects their level of evolution. From there, they face repercussions and consequences, leading to a more meaningful learning experience than simply being handed answers. This authentic feedback is essential for genuine development.
Consider the people here gathered; many of you possess a broader understanding of the world. However, how significantly has that understanding helped you grow? Perhaps it has helped you shed some fear and think more seriously about your life, but that insight came because you were interested and ready for it. When people are not ready, they often dismiss concepts of kindness or love and fail to engage in discussions about profound topics.
When individuals are genuinely interested, there is a wealth of resources available, from self-help books to philosophy and theology, that can help them grasp bigger pictures. However, personal growth must be a personal journey; it requires readiness, and each step naturally leads to the next. It would be counterproductive to allow everyone to carry a memory of all their past actions to gain perspective, as this would only create emotional and cognitive baggage.
If people were to retain all their memories upon incarnating, it would lead to an overwhelming amount of emotional baggage that could impede growth. The purpose of starting anew in each incarnation is to leave behind the weight of past egos and fears. While individuals bring a tendency for ego and beliefs, they do not bring the old limitations that once confined them. This allows for a fresh start, free from the burdens of past incarnations.
Currently, we navigate our existence through the choices we make, which create feedback for our development. As we encounter various situations, we face consequences that guide us toward personal evolution. This journey fosters a longing for truth and understanding regarding the nature of reality and morality; these inquiries signal our readiness to engage more deeply with our lives.
Once we are genuinely prepared, we begin to seek knowledge actively, whether that be through the internet, literature, or conversations with others. This engagement leads to rapid growth. However, plugging someone into this knowledge without readiness merely allows them to game the system. It is akin to providing answers before a test. While they might achieve good grades, they would not genuinely learn or understand. True growth involves facing the challenges and understanding concepts independently, leaning into both intuitive and intellectual development. The intuitive path connects deeply to who one is, while the intellectual track often reflects an image of who one wishes to be.
