Today we will watch the next video. In this video, we will learn about the coordinate system in the 3D Out software. As you can see on the screen, my image in the OutC 3D software will have a default coordinate system like this. This is the icon. We will have three axes:
- The first axis is the X axis.
- The second axis is the Y axis.
- The third axis is the Z axis.
Now, you can hide and show this icon. You can choose here. If you choose "Hide UCS Icon," it will hide this icon. In case you want to display it, you choose "Show UCS Icon," and it will display the icon for you again.
In this coordinates section, by default, when we draw, it will draw on the XY plane. Here, it will have many parts for us to choose the coordinates. Here, we will just share with you some main parts.
First, for example, we will have "USW." When we left-click here, our coordinate axis will have a symbol and icon like that. Next, we can create a new coordinate axis passing through three points in case we want to draw on this inclined plane. Now we need to create a new coordinate system for ourselves.
I just drew on this inclined plane, so here we will create a new coordinate system by selecting three points. We choose the coordinates that pass through these three points. Here it will appear like this. You press the F8 key so we can move diagonally like this.
Here we move into the face. For example, I want to create a coordinate axis on this inclined plane. We will move to this inclined plane. Now we will choose the corner point. For example, we choose this point as the first point.
Now we will determine the direction of the X axis. Our X axis is the direction here. Then we will determine the direction of the Y axis. The direction of the Y axis, I choose the point here. Ok, then you see that the new coordinate axis has a new coordinate system like this.
Now, for example, I will switch to the 2D interface and I draw. For example, I draw a circle here. When I press enter, do you see that this circle of mine will be drawn on this plane? The coordinate axis, the coordinate system we just created, we haven't named it yet.
Here you can name it by selecting "UCS Name." You select "UCS Name." Here is this. This is the coordinate system we just created. You can name it, for example, "Side View." You select OK, click OK.
Here you will drop down, and you will see the side view we just created. Here you can click on "Word," and then it will return to the original coordinate system. When it returns to the original coordinate system, I type "C," enter, I draw, then you see that my circle is on the XY plane below, right?
Now I will select the inclined plane here. I click here, I select the inclined plane I just created, then it will create a coordinate system. Now we will be able to operate on this face. This is how we create a new coordinate axis for ourselves.
Now we can customize the icon of this coordinate axis. If you choose "USUC RT," this dialog box will appear. Here, you can customize it. Here is its thickness. You can customize it. Here is the size. That is its size. You can customize its color.
In this coordinate section, there is a very good command, which is the "Dynamic UCS" command. What does "Dynamic UCS" mean? You will see the icon here. This is the dynamic UCS icon. In case you don't see it, this icon is displayed below this toolbar.
Then you will click on the three-line icon. Here you will select the item "Dynamic" or "Dynamic PPS." Normally, if you open your own and it is not there, you will select these three lines. If you select this dynamic UCS, it will show this icon.
What is the meaning of this icon? For example, if I want to draw a circle above this surface, I type "C," enter. I move here and I draw. I can't draw. I can still draw, but is it below this XY plane? Is it okay? It's not on this plane.
So now we're going to turn on the dynamic UCS. Now I type "C," enter, and I just move to the surface I need to draw. For example, I want to draw here. I move in, and you will see that this surface appears. Here you will see that it will automatically select this surface, and now you can draw here.
For example, I move to this surface, I draw a circle with a radius of 3, for example, enter. Or I want to draw on this side of the surface, then I select "C," enter. Here I move. If you move this face, it will automatically transfer the coordinates for you.
You don't need to use the three-point method above. You just need to move the mouse here to capture the point and draw, or this diagonal part. I enter, I put the mouse here, I capture a point, and I draw. When I rotate, you see, we don't need to create new coordinate axes here.
You just need to turn on the dynamic UCS icon, and we can easily draw your objects on any surface you want. For example, I want to draw on this surface. I just need to move, click here. For example, here I want to introduce this block up.
Now, for example, I choose 3D for you to see. This is the coordinate part. It is very important in the process of building the object in 3D. When you master this coordinate part, especially the command UCS and dynamic UCS, it will help us draw very quickly.
