So, let's talk about how your arm is supposed to unravel in your arm circle.
You have the ball in your K position. We want to make sure that we are palm up and not palm down. We don't want to be locked out, and we don't want to push the ball down; we want to pull the ball down the arm circle.
So, we're palm up, leading with our elbow. Your hips start to drive forward. As your hips come, your arm is pulling down to the bottom of your circle. Notice right here, my elbow is almost connected to my body, and the ball is facing center field. I'm staying nice and tight at this point.
This is when your forearm pronates, which means it turns in. You snap your wrist, and then your shoulder naturally flows through.
So, what this looks like at full speed is: hip, hip, hip, snap, pull all the way through.
Again, you are pulling down the arm circle. I'm emphasizing that we are pulling using your lat muscles coming down as your hips come through. Elbow connects to your body, forearm pronates in, you snap, and you let your shoulder naturally follow through.
