When you ask somebody what happened or you ask somebody about an event, typically the emotional aspect of the event, the peak experience of that event, will come first.
So if you called somebody right after you got into a car accident or right after you had this amazing thing happen to you, and somebody says, "How's your day going?" that precise moment is when you're going to start with that thing.
If you just had something happen to you and somebody calls you and says, "How's your day going?" you're not going to start by saying, "Well, I woke up at 6:15 a.m., I went down and I had breakfast," and then finally walk your way into the peak experience.
When we ask people questions, especially direct questions about peak experiences, those should take the lead.
So if you see somebody directly go into this chronological explanation of a story, that should set off an alarm in your head.
