[Music] Some time ago, about an hour ago, we started today’s self-care journey. Tomorrow is Monday, the day when we go back to school, so I am taking care of myself today. I’ve put on a mask to moisturize my face. I don’t know what it is; I’ve never had one like this before. It feels like an important event, going back to school. And what’s important about it? Well, not much, but you know how it is when something significant happens. Anyway, in the last vlog, I told you that I hoped my situation would improve soon. I have a dermatologist appointment tomorrow, so we’ll see what she prescribes. For now, I’m enjoying this free morning because once school starts, I’ll always have it in the back of my mind that I need to get up and do something. Right now, I’m watching Gossip Girl, so I think I’ll go back to bed.
Yesterday, I carefully tidied up my room. I didn’t change the bedding, but I did change the pillow and rearranged everything. I hope this new order lasts for a while. [Music] I made a salad yesterday that I absolutely fell in love with. It consists of kale, purple cabbage, carrots, and cucumbers. For the dressing, I simply used olive oil, added some granulated garlic, chili, and salt. That’s really it! I also sprinkled various seeds on top. It was delicious! I did forget to mention that I also added lemon juice, but it turns out it was just as good without it.
[Music] Now it’s time to wash my brushes because they’re not in the best condition. I will also wash my makeup sponges, as I often forget about them, and to be honest, I rarely want to do it. However, it’s very important. [Music] I’ve used everything: brushes, eyelash curlers, and I know they don’t look like they’ve been washed, but they just don’t seem right anymore. I have a new sponge, so it’s okay.
Well, I have a problem that’s quite significant. I used to make chamomile compresses, and I accidentally poured some on my face. I applied a single cotton pad soaked in chamomile on my forehead to combat some discoloration. I removed it quickly because it caused more discoloration. Now, I have some white lines on my forehead and around my face, and I have many questions about them. The issue with my skin discoloration is somewhat managed, but I have a breakout here that I can’t do much about. I’ve come to terms with it, but it’s still irritating. I’ve been trying various cosmetics, and I genuinely care about my skin. I avoid sweets and limit dairy products, and I drink a lot of water. Despite all this, my skin still acts up.
Let’s start doing my eyebrows now! I do my eyebrows with henna because I naturally have very light eyebrows. The henna is almost gone, so they appear a little darker when wet, but they won’t be too dark once they dry. I need to wait for the chamomile to absorb a bit. Of course, I’ve washed my hands before starting.
As for the henna, you often ask me what brand I use. It's literally just regular henna that costs around two to three PLN. I usually buy it from Rossmann, but I just picked it up from another store this time. To avoid staining my skin, I apply Vaseline or a greasy cream around my eyebrows. If you dye your skin, there’s no way to wash it out later.
This is what my eyebrows look like after applying the henna. I know they’re quite dark right now, but I promise the effect will lighten up by tomorrow. I just need to take a bath tonight, and they should fade a bit. I’m currently fixing the front area because it didn’t catch well in one spot. I prefer my eyebrows darker, but not as dark as they are now after treatment. So, for now, I’m satisfied with how they’ve turned out.
Next, I need to choose an outfit for school tomorrow. I’m thinking of wearing these black suit pants, and I need a top. I don’t own many white shirts or anything in that color since I don’t wear them often. I do have a nice, elegant top made of slippery material that would go well, but if not, I’ll find something else. I’ll throw on a black biker jacket over it, and I’m considering chamomile and mint tea to drink while I prepare for the night. I’ll take a bath soon and indulge in an “everything shower.” [Music]
I’m feeling a bit tired, but I also want to use some bath salt. It was supposed to smell like cotton candy, but it actually doesn’t. Still, it’s a lovely glittery pink! [Music] I use a gel from CeraVe for washing my face, then follow it up with a shower gel and a peeling scrub that has been sitting in the shower for a while. Despite its tragic appearance, it has a lovely scent. I also have a hair duo with a protein conditioner and moisturizing shampoo.
I just took a bath and had a thorough everything shower. I did a peel, including a facial peel, and now I'm going to put on a mask I received in a PR package from Garnier. It’s a vitamin C mask. [Music] [Laughter] [Music] Now we are doing my skincare. My face is still a bit damp after the mask, so I will apply hyaluronic acid from The Ordinary. [Music] Next, I’ll use a moisturizing emulsion with ceramides.
I must mention that my face feels very hot today; I don't know if it’s due to the mask, but it feels dry and slightly painful after applying the cream. I applied Aknederm because I want my face to rest and look good for makeup tomorrow. If I were to add more Aknederm now, I can only imagine how my face would look in the morning. So, I'll stick to the moisturizing products today. I also have a body moisturizer that’s great for hydration but leaves an oily residue, so I’ll put that on as well. It’s called Sweet Raspberry Cupcake, and I really like its consistency, even if it does make my skin feel greasy.
[Music] If you have thin hair like mine, I’ve seen a big difference after using an intensive stimulating lotion from Only Bio for a few months. I’m not saying you must buy this specific product, but find a hair lotion that works for you. I typically use this one every time I wash my hair. I apply it when my hair is just a little damp and massage it into my scalp.
[Music] Now, I’m going to relax on my bed and catch up on some good shows while giving myself a scalp massage so that I can have nice hair! I’ll show you how I use rollers for curling my hair. I’ve always used a bathrobe belt for this, but I recently ordered a dedicated roller set that came with extra scrunchies and a clip.
You start by taking a roller—what was it called again? I forgot! Well, anyway, you put your hair onto it. I’m not sure if I’m doing it correctly today; my front hair feels a bit too thick. I’ll secure it with a clip and twist every strand I take twice. Let’s see how it turns out!
I’ve tested so many methods, and nothing seems to work for me. It feels like I can’t sleep with anything, which is frustrating. So, I’m going back to my reliable robe belt because this roller isn’t cooperating. I’m sure the robe belt will work because it won’t bend in awkward directions. Thank you so much for watching! [Music]
