Today we are breaking down these 10 red light therapy devices to help you make the best purchasing decision. I have detailed data on each device, and there are tables at the end of the video that compare every device side by side. I'll also let you know what I think is the most budget-friendly and the ones with the most innovative technologies. So let's get started!

I've already reviewed these three devices; you can watch them here. I am not going to go into major detail in this video about them, but I will add them at the end of the video in the comparison charts. I have also done a deep dive on red light therapy masks and panels, in which one might be better for you, so I'm not going to be discussing that today. If that is something that you want more of, check out this video.

I'm assuming if you have clicked on this video, you already know what red light therapy is. If not, I will post what red light therapy is right here, as well as give you the many benefits of red light therapy. What I'm going to be sharing with you today is red light therapy and how it can help with skin rejuvenation, such as minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, evening out the skin tone, brightening the skin, and giving you beautiful texture. These are the devices that will do those things.

There are definitely two things that you need to be really aware of when purchasing a red light therapy device, and that is joules and IR radiance. Let's talk about what joules is. It is the amount of energy delivered per treatment per session; a lot of people call it the dose. There are a lot of factors that play into that. There's still more research that needs to be done on red light therapy, but at the moment, if the mask is anywhere between 10 and 50 joules, that's going to be right where you want to be. A higher joules could definitely give you maybe better results or quicker results.

IR radiance refers to the intensity of light coming from the therapy device. It is measured in milliwatts per square centimeter and represents the amount of light energy available for cells to absorb. When we're talking about radiance, you want anywhere from 30 to 100. This is where it gets a little tricky because anything over could potentially reverse some of the effects. But again, we're not really sure; there's a lot more research that needs to be done. So it's not like, "Oh, if it's 125, you're not going to get the best results." I just say for right now, and based on what the research is saying, anywhere between 30 to 100 IR radiance is right where you want to be.

What's really impressive with all of these devices is that each of them brings something different to the table, which is why I wanted to get these in this video. There are a lot of new advancements coming in red light therapy that I think are super cool. All of these devices I have used; I absolutely love them. I recommend all of them. I think they're going to do exactly what you want. The most important thing is that you purchase the one that you can be most consistent with.

The thing that I'm loving right at this time in 2024 is that red light therapy is actually really being innovative in new and different ways, and I find that very exciting. A lot of these devices—actually, all of these devices—bring unique and different things to the table, and I think that's really cool. So again, what you can be consistent with, because I always get this question: "What is the one that is the best?" It's going to be the one that you can be consistent with all the time.

All right, the first mask I'm going to be discussing is the Current Body. This is a very well-known mask: 10 minutes, three to five times a week. I always say with any red light therapy, if you've never started, always go in with that higher amount, so I would go five days a week, and then after the first month, you can play with it to three to five. You want kind of like that collagen boost in the first month. This is very simple; no bells and whistles—it has one mode, which is red light therapy paired with near infrared light.

Now, if you have melasma, you might want to rethink the near infrared, just because it can give off a little bit of heat. So, if that’s an issue and it’s close to the face—it’s a mask—so that could potentially be irritating to the skin. I just want you to keep that in mind. But there is no way to get out of the near infrared on this mask, and research does show that both of them combined are actually more effective than if they are just separate. Just kind of keep that in mind, but this is just simple. I love this mask for that very reason.

They also have, and I use this one all the time, the neck and décolleté mask, so you're getting the neck and you're getting the décolleté. Same specifications, same way to use it, and it also has that red and near infrared as well. So, kind of keep that in mind. Also, just so you know, I have discounts for all of these masks, and everything will be listed in the description box below.

All right, let's go ahead and talk about the Joves 4D Laser Light Mask. Oh my gosh, you guys, this is super brilliant! This is actually a laser light, which is six times more powerful than red light therapy, so that’s where this really stands out. It also stands out because of how it looks. Every time I wear this, I always get looks—it looks a little scary, I know, but that doesn’t bother me any. But just something to keep in mind is I love the Velcro straps on here too, because it really stays nice on the face.

What's also really cool about this mask is that the laser light is so targeted and precise on the face that there’s no light that comes out of the eye area. So, you can truly multitask with this device. You can work on your computer; you can walk around; you can vacuum—there's no light that is going to obstruct your vision. Now, the Current Body, a lot of light comes through, so you can’t really multitask—you really need to lay down with that one. Anyway, that’s what I find, because I can’t really see when I’m walking around; it’s just all red, if that makes sense.

This device, like I said, is a laser light, and Joves has created and patented an FTP chip, which is where they’ve created a very precise and targeted laser that is going to be very focused on that particular area. That is what makes it different from actual red light therapy. You’re going to see that the price is going to be a bit higher in that respect, due to the technology.

This has three modes: it has a strengthened barrier mode, which is going to help boost circulation and is also going to be very great for sensitive skin. So if you've got melasma, this is something that you might want to think about. It also has the skin brightening mode and the anti-aging mode, and you can do 10, 15, and 20-minute sessions on this device. I love this mask, and if you are a skincare enthusiast junky and want the latest technology, this might be something to look into.

Another couple that are wonderful and innovative in technology is the Mama. This is the only LED that I'm going to be talking about today. I love this LED because, first of all, it's thin. This is so lightweight, you guys; it's just brilliant, and it's very well-made. So if you put this in your suitcase, you can travel with this very easily. As you can see, but if you put this in your suitcase, you're not going to have to worry about it breaking. Of course, I would always just, you know, put it in between your clothes, but it's very well-made; I don't think that you need to worry about that.

What makes this very unique is the pulse light. I have done a whole video with Bev, who is the CEO and founder of Mama, and we go into detail about the pulse light. These are the benefits of the pulse light (I will put some text over to the side), but that is what makes this very unique. You can do 1-minute, 3-minute, 6-minute, all the way up to 9-minute sessions. Of course, again, starting with 9, but I love that you've got the 1 and 3-minute options, because if you just want to kind of get in your red light therapy but don’t have a lot of time, you could do a 1 or 3-minute treatment.

The modes on here also allow you to change the hertz, which is how fast it’s going to pulse, so you could do 10, 20, or 30 hertz. It also has a sleep optimization mode, so if you have trouble sleeping, you can turn this on while you're sleeping, and it’s supposed to help with that. This is a great device, and this, again, is going to be for the skincare enthusiast.

What's really awesome is that she—Bev for Mama—has also taken that and put it into a mask, so those specifications, and she has created also the pulsed light LED mask, and it is actually called The Panha Mask. Again, you can do all the way 1, 3, 6, and 9-minute treatments, and these are both going to be up to five days a week. Now what's cool about this one is it has red light therapy, near infrared, and blue. The blue paired with the red I think is magenta, and that's going to help with acne. So if you've got acne-prone skin, this can help to calm it and clear it up.

The modes on here are going to be the red only, so that's really nice, because if you don't want that near infrared, you could definitely go for that. If you've got melasma, you might want to check that out. Also, red and near infrared—that’s the second mode—and then the third mode is the magenta, again to help clear the acne. Now on here, you cannot change the hertz on this device; it automatically blinks, and it blinks so fast that you can't even see it with the eye, so you don’t have to worry about, if you're having it on your face, "Oh my gosh, it's going to make me dizzy." Nope, no problems there.

All right, let’s go ahead and talk about the Farah Beauty. This is—oh, this is such a cool mask as well! So this mask has 15-minute, 20-minute, and 30-minute treatments, five times a week, and what really stands out about this mask is that it's super budget-friendly. We're talking you could probably get this with my discount, and if it’s on sale, for about $200. So, I think, um, the—yeah, $229, and if it’s on sale, $200—that’s amazing!

This has three modes: it has auto mode, where it’s going to blink the near red, blue, and orange lights like this while you're wearing it. Then the second mode is the near infrared and red mode, and then they do also have the blue light mode to help with acne. Another way that this stands out is that in each mode, you can change the intensity from low, medium, and high. This is a great device for the price, and it's really well-made, so something to keep in mind.

All right, the next one is the RX More. So first of all, let’s just talk about how beautiful it is. If you are a girly girl, I think that you're just going to be like, "Oh my gosh!" Yeah, it's super beautiful. Another reason that this stands out is because it has an IR radiance of 80, so that's pretty high. I feel that, because it's so high, the price is actually really good because it also has different colored lights. It's got blue, yellow, amber, red light, deep red light, and near infrared light.

It has three modes: it's got skin repair mode, brighten mode, and acne clear mode. They indicate on their website that 80 IR radiance is like it's supposed to be the best, per studies that they do list a study down below. However, I opened that study, and it says anywhere from 50 to 100, so they're within that range. But anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I think this is a great device, and at 80 radiance, I think that the price is pretty good too, with all the modes and the colors; it's $399.

The last one is the Cure, and I've gotten a lot of questions about this one. What makes this really stand out is that it is customizable, so you can change the lights on particular areas of the face, but you can only do that in their app. Okay, so once you get the mask, you can press the button, and it is going to be a 3-minute treatment with red and near infrared. If you want the other benefits, you need to go into the app, and then you can change where on the face you want the lights.

So, it's got blue light therapy, it's got amber, it's got red, it's got deep red, and it's got infrared light. Just 3 minutes a day—that's another way that this stands out. Now, because of that 3 minutes, it is definitely going to be something that you’re going to want to use daily—especially the first month. After that, I wouldn't worry about it if you miss a day here or there, but I definitely shoot for probably about six or seven days a week with this mask, because it is only 3 minutes a day. So just something to keep in mind.

The modes on this are going to be the anti-aging mode, the anti-breakout mode, and then, of course, the customized treatment zones. So if you’ve got acne around this area, you can put the light on that area, and then you can have the anti-aging lights on other areas of the skin. So that makes it really cool. This is going to be for that person that wants it to be a little bit more customizable and is also really limited on time.

All right, we are wrapping this up, and I am going to do a quick review. If you are looking for a budget-friendly mask, you may want to check out these. If you are looking for the newest technologies on the market at the moment, you might want to check out these. If you are super limited on time, you might want to check out these; and also, if you’re just really looking for some customization, you might want to check out the Cure. If you're just like, "I just need simple, that's all I need," you might want to go with the Current Body.

This is where I'm going to share with you the comparison charts, and you can pause the video and really look at which one might be the best for you and that you can be consistent with, because that's the one that's going to do all of the change.
