I've had to prove myself, but then I've always had to prove myself.
You know, when I was at school, I had to prove myself. And when I was in dance school, I had to prove myself. Even now, I feel like I'm constantly having to prove myself when everyone says I can't sing.
Not that I don't care anymore, but you know, it's always been about that.
But with fashion, I think it's different. I didn't feel that I had any knockbacks at all. I felt that it was just about the product speaking for itself, and it did.
Every season, I want to better myself—for me, really, and for my community, and for my customer.
