Healing vs. Salvation | Charis Bible College | Curry Blake 2024 Sermon

John G. Lake Ministries47:27

They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Now, notice it says they shall lay hands on the sick, and then it says, and they shall recover. The "they" that shall recover are, of course, the sick that the believers lay hands on. Is that right?

See, I've had people question me about that. Why does it say "recover"? Why didn't it say, "and they shall be healed"? You know why? Because you're not delivering healing in the sense that you're not healing them. Jesus said they shall recover. Why? Because healing had already been paid for. So, all you have to do is bring it to them, deliver it in that sense that you're laying hands, and now they're going to recover.

He didn't say "heal" because you're not healing; you're delivering what Jesus did so they can recover. Everybody's aware of Amazon and deliveries and that kind of stuff. I started thinking about that just a little bit ago. You know, I'm always happy when I see Amazon drive up because I know they're delivering something that I ordered. But it's also something that I've already paid for.

So, they don't bring it to the door and go, "Okay, here it is, give me money. Here, we'll trade." No, it's already paid for, and then it gets delivered. Well, the Bible says that out of Zion will come deliverers. So, we're supposed to be people that see. We think of deliverance, and instead of thinking generally, how we think about deliverance is, "I'm going to get this thing off of you," and so they were delivered.

Maybe we should change our viewpoint to where we are the deliverers, and we're making a delivery of something that's already been paid for. Because too many people still think that they have to somehow pay for it, which means measure up, which means perfect performance, or something like that.

I love what my sister said just a minute ago: that His blood runs through our veins. Then I remember the scripture that simply says the life is in the blood. I started thinking about that, and then that, of course, took me to a scripture I'm going to read to you. This isn't part of the ones I was going to mention.

What I'm going to share with you today is going to be fairly quick, but it's going to be also fairly direct. For some of you, it may shock you, and some of you may have to go, "Hmm, I'm going to have to search that out." And that's good because that means you're thinking. It means you're studying the word of God. It means you're digging into it because the best gold you can find is the gold you dig out for yourself.

So, go with me real quick to Mark 16. Like I said, this isn't what I'm really focusing on today, but it is a point that I think may help you. In Mark 16, I'm going to cut through a lot of it and get right to the words I want to read because I want to get to one point particularly.

It says in verse 15, "And he said unto them," remember this is after the resurrection, is that right? After the resurrection, Jesus has already died, been buried, went to the whipping post, the whole bit, and then came out of the grave. Now, he's talking to his disciples before he leaves for the last time.

Then he says, "Go ye into all the world and preach, proclaim the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

Now, we're going to focus just for a second on that very last part: they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. What that means is simply this: if you're a believer, you lay hands on the sick. So, that's one of the signs of a believer. I can look at you and say, "I know they're a believer," at least in the sense that they're fulfilling, they're laying hands on the sick.

Now, notice it says they shall lay hands on the sick, and then it says, and they shall recover. The "they" that shall recover are, of course, the sick that the believers lay hands on. Is that right? Yes.

Now, see, I've had people question me about that.

See, that's what we forget sometimes as believers: His life through us is what heals. Yeah, see, like we said yesterday, He doesn't drop healing from heaven. Right? He sent healing from heaven when He sent His word and healed them.

So, healing in the form of Jesus, the Word made flesh, came to the Earth, brought healing, became healing, bore the stripes for your healing, and then now He said He's going to go back and send another comforter who will abide in us, and out of our belly shall flow rivers of living water.

One of those rivers is healing. But as that Spirit works through us, we become the conduit, and as we lay hands, we deliver what has already been paid for.

Now, what I'm going to share today is, okay, let me put it this way: it could be easily misunderstood, which is why I'm keeping it very short, very simple, very direct.

All right, now again, as always, I have to remind everybody I don't teach theory; I teach what I've lived. I teach what I have found to be true, and I've lived it out. I've proven it. You know, you always have somebody that wants to argue, debate, or something, right? I ain't got time for that.

Right? While you want to argue about a position or a doctrine, somebody's dying, and you're tying me up to keep me from ministering to them. So, I don't have time for that stuff because I've already proven it. If you search it out, you'll prove it too. And then if you go do it, you'll prove it.

So, instead of arguing, just go do it. It's just that simple, right? So, I don't have time to argue and debate and that kind of stuff because we've already proven it.

Somebody says, "Well, you know, healing passed away." Too late! All right, why? Because I see it every day. Right? We get testimonies every day now.

And I'll give you this testimony first. I think there's actually a couple. I'll give you one real quick. We were just sharing this earlier about when I was in South Africa last year, as a matter of fact. It was in a little town, a suburb of Cape Town, called Fish Hook.

It's a beautiful little coastal town, an amazing place. We were going to a church I'd never been at before, and they invited us in. The pastor knew because South African accents are a little bit different, and if they're speaking Afrikaans, that's, of course, different.

So, he wanted to get his congregation ready for me. Right? He wanted them to be able to understand me, so he wanted to play some videos of me so they could get used to my speech, my terminology, how I talk, and all that kind of stuff.

So, he pulled out a video from Sid Roth. That was when I was on the Sid Roth program, Supernatural, and this was 25 years ago. Okay? So, first off, like I said, I was surprised they could even recognize me, that it was actually me there because then all I had was a mustache and darker hair—none of this, none of that kind of stuff.

So, I wasn't even sure there. And actually, one person did ask me if I was C. Blake's father. So, while they were getting ready for us, they played the video of when I was on Sid Roth.

Now, when I was on Sid Roth, again, 25 years earlier, he interviewed me a couple of weeks, and we went through all this stuff. At the end, he had me pray on the program for healing for anybody listening. Remember, 25 years ago.

When I was there 25 years ago, I did that, and we prayed. Of course, they recorded it, and then they would send it out over the next few weeks. Whenever he played it over the next few weeks, testimonies started coming in of people that got healed whenever I prayed the prayer from a few weeks before.

So, the prayer was recorded, and people got healed. Now, while I was in his studios, actually his offices and the studio, he had me pray, and his workers were in the halls, and they were kind of listening to what was going on.

As I prayed, they got healed in the hall. So, we had testimonies as soon as we came out of the recording studio area. About twice a year, he'll play that video again, and every time he does, we know.

See, we're in Dallas; he was up in Charlotte. So, every time he plays it, we know it because we start getting all these other calls, and people say, "I saw Brother Curry on Sid Roth."

We start, and then he gets testimonies, and we get testimonies from when they play it. For 25 years, he's been playing it, and it keeps getting testimonies.

Now, when we went to Fish Hook, they played that video, and there was a man in the congregation there that had had a very serious accident. His neck had been broken; all of the vertebrae had been fused. He could not move his head at all.

He had to move completely to turn his head, and he had a neck brace on. It was constant pain. As a matter of fact, he had contemplated suicide because of the constant pain. He had just held on. He was taking all the kind of medicine that he could; it didn't do any good.

He was in the service that night before we got there when they played the video. He said, "This is the pastor saying, 'Brother Curry, I just want y'all to hear how he speaks so you'll be ready for when he comes.'"

He says, "He speaks rather quickly." Okay? And so they played the video. The man was sitting there, and now remember, the video is 25 years old. The man was sitting there, got instantly healed. He could move his neck—fused vertebrae—but he could move his neck.

He was completely healed; all the pain was gone, and he started yelling. They thought he was interrupting, and come to find out, he was testifying. Amen!

Now, get this: that video was 25 years old. God's word is alive; it never ceases working. You can put on a video, however long old video you got, and if there's a prayer in it, you can get healed.

Right? Well, guess what? If there's actual Bible in it, you can also grow in Christ because there's no limit on God's word. Amen!

Now, during the other sessions that I'm doing here, I'm mainly talking about equipping people to minister healing. Today, we're focusing more on you receiving healing and, as I would even say, realizing your healing.

Right? Because it's already paid for, just as our sister said, this is a done deal; it's a finished work. Everything Jesus did, the Bible says that God sent His word, and His word cannot return to Him void, but first, it has to accomplish everything it was sent to do.

Jesus was the word; He was the word made flesh. He was sent from the Father; He accomplished everything. He hung on the cross; He said, "It is finished." So, everything He was sent to do, He accomplished, and He had to accomplish it before He could go back.

It said that He sent His word and healed them all. Healed them is the way it says it. Now, five times in the New Testament, it says, "And Jesus healed them all." In Matthew 8:16 and 17, He goes into it, and He actually says there that He healed them all so that it might be fulfilled what the prophet Isaiah said, that He bore our sicknesses and took our diseases.

So, for that prophecy in Isaiah to be fulfilled, that means that every person had to be healed. That's why I said, "And He healed them all." It was fulfilling that prophecy. That means that when Jesus, when Isaiah said it, and then when Jesus actually fulfilled it by going to the whipping post, every healing for every person that ever would need healing was accomplished at that moment.

So, there is not one person that God has excluded from healing. Does that make sense? Yes! God never said, "Nope, not you. Yes, you. Yes, you. Okay, you too. Not you." He never said that.

Why? Because healing is in the atonement of Jesus Christ. Okay? It's just as if you talk to a person that has not received salvation. Their sins have been paid for, but now they receive salvation and get saved. Is that right?

Now, it's the same thing: every healing has already been provided; every sickness has already been defeated. Now, our job is to get it to them.

Right? Now, here's the difference between salvation and healing. Healing, see, I can get you healed. I can lay hands on you, and based on God's promise to me as a believer that who I lay hands on, they shall recover. That's between me and God.

That ain't between me and you, and that ain't between you and God. That's between me and God because that's the promise to me as a believer. So, I can get you healed.

Right? Now, here's the thing: I can't keep you healed. You get people that Jesus healed probably got sick again later, you know, from something else. Does that make sense? They didn't get immunized; they got healed of that.

Okay? Now, I can get you healed, and if you want to stay healed, now you're going to believe the word of God, and you're going to walk in your freedom.

But now here's the thing: one of the things I found out is the fastest way to keep your healing is to give away healing to other people. That's called sowing and reaping. Sowing and reaping is a law; it works. You can't violate it; it works.

If you sow healing to others, you yourself, if you needed healing, you would receive healing. If you don't need healing, you still reap healing, so it gets stacked up. So, anytime you ever need it, it is there.

See, I tell people all the time I go around the world sowing healing, but I don't need healing because I'm healthy. But yet I keep sowing healing. Well, the law of sowing and reaping still works.

Okay? So, I keep sowing; I keep reaping. It gets piled up. You know what that means? That means I don't need it, so that means I got more to give away to you. Does that make sense? Kind of, right?

Okay, now, so this man was totally healed from a 25-year-old video. I could go on with other testimonies about people calling prayer cloths. Acts chapter 19, Paul took handkerchiefs and aprons off of his body and gave them out.

If people had devils, the devils left, and if they had sickness, they got healed. Now, I pray over cloths; I lay hands on them. The Bible doesn't say we call them prayer cloths, but it doesn't say Paul ever prayed over them.

But I don't take all of my clothes and rip them up and send them out. So, we buy cloth, and I will lay my hands on them, and we believe God's word.

Now, I don't know where they're going to go to; I don't know who they're going to. I don't take a thing, okay? There are times when I do if somebody asks for it, but I will lay my hands on them and say, "In the name of Jesus, Father, I release Your life and Your spirit into these cloths that wherever they go, whatever the people need, Your spirit provides it.

If they need deliverance, they get delivered. If they need healing, they get healed. So, Father, I thank You now in advance for the fact that Your spirit is going to accomplish Your will wherever these cloths go."

Then when somebody asks for them, they will take one, and now it's not spoken for. We don't know who it's going to, you know, until it gets sent out.

And so they'll send it out, and then they'll get healed, and they'll testify, and then we hear from them later, and they testify that they passed it around to other people, and they got healed.

See, what that shows is how big God is. He's not looking for ways to cut people out of healing; He's looking for ways to include people in healing.

See, now theology, religion—not theology necessarily, but religion, dead religion, let's put it that way—is looking for ways to keep people in line, make them line up and act the way they want them to, and therefore they make it hard.

So, they try to cut people out of healing to make people act better and do what they want them to do, so it's a control factor. That's not God. Right? If God was into control, you'd have gotten saved a whole lot sooner. Ain't that right?

But now here's the thing, like I said before, there's a difference between healing and salvation. Now, we put them together because they were both paid for kind of close to the same time. Your healing was paid for at the whipping post; your sins were paid for at the cross—two separate events during the same time period.

All right? But two separate events. Now, why are they separate? Why are they different? See, healing, I can get you healed. I can get healing to you. Why? Because that's a promise from God to me as a believer, and I can deliver it to you now.

But salvation, see, I can make you get healed even if you don't want to. That's a fact. We've seen it. I've had people argue with me when I was about to minister to them. "No, God, I got to do this. I got to know God. You know, God, I've been prayed for by these people, and then it never happened."

And I go, "Just be quiet; let me do my job." Right? So, I can get people healed.

As a point of reference, John Lake, if you know who he was, he actually put an advertisement in the newspaper, and he said, "If you will come to the healing rooms for 30 days and not get healed, I will give you $500."

Now think about that. He put that in a newspaper; it wasn't in a church bulletin. It was in a newspaper. He was telling heathens, "If you're sick, come to my church, come to the healing rooms. Come for 30 days, and if you're not healed, I will give you $500."

Now, $500 in 1925 was a good chunk of money. Amen? Now here's the thing: nobody ever collected it. Amen? Why? Because he knew he could get them healed.

Why? Because he knew what he had. Yeah, like Peter, "Such as I have, give I thee." Not "such as I have, let me check with heaven to make sure I can give it away." Let me see if it's God's will for you. Peter didn't do any of that. He said, "What I got, I can give you." Ain't that right?

Real simple. See, these are little things that I've learned over the years that make a big difference.

And so, like I said, I can get you healed, even if you didn't want to. You know, I don't know why I actually had a person come in one time and say, "Can you pray?" And this is the way they said it: "Can you pray healing on me but not let it take effect till after Tuesday?"

And I'm like, "Why?" Well, because I got to go get recertified for my disability check on Tuesday morning, and I don't want to lose my disability. I'm not going to be part of your fraud. I said, "No, I'm not going to do that. I'm going to pray right now, and you're going to get healed. You're not going to be able to take disability anymore."

Right? So, but see, there's a difference in the attitude. It's in the fact that I know who I am.

Now, when I say that, what that means is this: because here's what I know about who I am. It is no longer I that live, but Christ who lives in me. You understand that? I don't look at myself; I look at Him in me. You understand?

And the life that I now live, I live by the faith of Him who loved me and died for me. Is that right? So, that's how I understand this.

But now understand, I still have to deliver it. See, He's here in my body, and I'm seated next to Him there. Yeah? So, we just exchanged, right? And now He can live His life through me to the degree that I let Him.

And my job as a Christian is to let Him. Amen? But you can only really let Him if you get your mind off yourself and realize that He wants to live His life through you.

Now, real quick here, I'm trying to watch my time here. Yep, now watch this. I'm going to take you through some scriptures, and again, you're probably going to study this out.

And I'm going to make this statement; I want to make it very clear. Number one, what I want to share with you today is the fact that God's—and actually, the title that I gave them was basically the shortened acronym is GPS, which is God's Power System.

God's Power System. All right? Now, God made the universe; He made the solar system. You all arrived here today at a certain time because you looked at a watch or a clock or something, and that watch or clock is based on the position of the Earth in relation to the sun.

Therefore, you relied on God's system to be accurate and dependable for you to get here. Is that right? So, God has systems—certain systems. See, there's the law of faith. Faith is a system.

Now, here's the thing: we were just talking about this, as a matter of fact. Here's the thing: New Age people have taken biblical principles, but they took God out of it, right? And then they put themselves in it as God.

But they learn the principles, and they operate the principles, and to a degree, they get some results. Why? Because they understood systems. Now, the system works the way it is.

Now, your body is a conglomeration of systems, right? You have your muscular system; you have your skeletal system; you have your neurological system; you have your cardiovascular system. Is that right?

And all of those have to work a certain way. Now, do we know how they work? Yeah, pretty much. And we know that if they're not working right, what do we call that? Sickness or disease. Ain't that right?

Your systems all have to work right, or there's something wrong. Does that make sense? So, if it's wrong, if it's wrong for your system not to function the way it's supposed to, and we call that sickness or disease, then sickness and disease is wrong, and health is right.

That's God's plan. The way God made your body, He made it with systems that are made in a way that they have to work a certain way. And if they're slightly off, that's a sickness. Is that right?

Now, so God has these systems. Now, God has a system for His power to flow. His power has to flow through the law of faith. The law of faith is a system of faith, right? Just like we say the law of gravity.

Well, guess what? Gravity is a system that God implemented that works a certain way. Now, what I'm getting to here is I'm bringing a little piece of what John Lake used to call the science of divine healing. Why? Because there is a science to it.

See, there's an art and there's a science. There's an art and a science to divine healing. The science is the principles by which it works; the art is the method by which I deliver it.

See, my art of divine healing may be slightly different than your art. Why? Because I have a certain personality; you have a personality. God will work through my personality, and He'll work through your personality, right?

But the system has to be the same. That's the science. The science is right and the same, but the art is how we apply the science. You got that? Does that make sense?

Now, understand, whenever you—okay, like I said, my personality is a certain type of personality; yours may be a totally different personality. And guess what? Some people will listen to me; they wouldn't listen to you. Some people will listen to you; they won't listen to me.

Right? And so God allows us to have our personalities, which should be sanctified, okay, and godly, but yet we can still have our personalities so that we can deliver God's word and His system of power in a way that is congruent with our personality.

But the science, the system has to be right. When the system's not right, it won't work. Whenever it doesn't work, then we go back and say, "Oops, well, let's figure out why it didn't work."

But too often, we go back to a tradition of men rather than back to the word to find out why it didn't work. That's the problem.

Now, I said that to get to this point. What I generally term this is very simply this: God's power is mechanical. God's power is mechanical; it is not automatic. It is mechanical.

There's a difference. See, some people think that when I say "mechanic," they think I'm saying it's automatic. It's not automatic. In other words, if you don't lay hands on the sick, the sick are not going to get healed.

Now, see, since Jesus paid for the healing, if it was automatic, then they'd get healed no matter what because it was automatic. It's not automatic; it is mechanical.

So, if I apply the science, if I apply the system of God's power, then it is mechanical, and it will work. And because it's science, it will work every time. You get that?

Yeah, see, God is not picking or choosing who He's healing. He's already picked and chose. And who did He do that for? All! Ain't that right?

All right, let me give you an example. See, you already believe this; you just might not know you believe it. Okay? So, let me put this: how do you get somebody saved?

Do you have to fast and pray and ask God, "God, show me this person that..."? Okay, God, you don't do that. And you don't walk up to somebody and go, "God, this—no, I'm sorry, you can't be saved," and walk off. You don't do that, do you?

Why? Because you know you've been schooled, trained to believe according to the word that God will save anybody if they meet the conditions. Is that right?

Now, what are the conditions? Now, if we get into church stuff, we can go a long way and a whole bunch of arguments over conditions because different churches have different ideas of what the conditions are.

Let's keep it simple, and let's just say it like this: let's say that a condition might be to repent, to turn toward God, to want out of your old life and want this new life. So, you turn away from your sin; you turn away from that, and you turn to Him, and you believe what He did for you—that you couldn't die for yourself, that He died for you, took those sins away, and now you get to believe in Him.

When you believe in Him, now you're going to get born again. And when you get born again, you're in Him, and in Him is blessing and not the curse, and in Him is righteousness and not sin. Is that simple enough?

So, if I'm going to go witness to a person, I'm going to go talk to them and say, "Okay, listen, I really like to see you get saved. Now, would you like to get saved?"

Well, yeah. Okay, well, here's what you got to do: repent, turn away, turn away from your sin, and you take them through that process.

Now, let me ask you, whatever your idea of that process is, if you tell them that process and you say, "Here's what you do," and you could even go step one, step two, step three, you know, for spiritual laws, you know that old thing? You hadn't seen it in a while? Maybe you have; I don't know. I hadn't seen it in a while.

But still, you can take them through the steps, ain't that right? There's a process, and you can say, "Do," and if they do the process, can you look at them and say, "Glory to God, you are now born again"?

Can you do that? Why? Because they followed. Now, admit it, they got to have faith in Christ, ain't that right? And you might not be able to see that, but you can take them at their word that they say, "Yes, I believe He died for me."

So, based on the fact that they meet the conditions, they can be saved. Is that correct? Yes! That's mechanical. You get it?

That's mechanical. You're going to go out, and you're going to witness to them and tell them, "Do this, this, and this," and if they do that, that, and that, then you can say, "Glory to God, congratulations, you're born again." Is that right?

Now, you say, "Well, yeah, but you know, we don't know if they really meant to." No, no, we're giving them the benefit of the doubt. You can't see their heart, so you have to take them at their word, right?

That they agreed. I'm saying, let's say that they actually did it, then they are born again. Is that right?

Now, you say, "Okay, I've done this, and I make Jesus Lord of my life; I'm going to follow Him." So, there you're good. Is that right?

That's the mechanical power of God. Now, that's the mechanical—now get this: that's the mechanical power of God for the most important event that can ever occur in their life. That's right, and it's mechanical.

So, when it comes to healing, it also is mechanical. Now, see, the difference between healing is, like I said, I can get you healed because I can apply the principles, the laws, the system of God's power to apply the power to you so that it will fix your body.

Okay? Now, the reason I can't use that to get you saved is because salvation is up to you to make Jesus Lord, so it's an act of your will.

See, you getting healed isn't an act; it doesn't have to be an act of your will. But you getting saved has to be an act of your will. So, I can get you healed, but I can't make—see, like I said, I can make you get healed, but I can't make you get saved because that has to be an action of your will.

Amen? Are we all on this same page? All right, now let me give you some scripture to prove it, all right? And I'll show you through scripture.

Let's go real quick. Here's a good one. Let's go, yeah, okay, we'll go to John. And I'm not going to have time to get to all of them probably, but that's okay; you'll get the idea.

John chapter 5, starting in verse 1. After this, there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water. Whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

You hear that? So, they gathered up; they're waiting for the water to be moving, and whoever got in first got healed. Now, get this: of whatsoever disease they had.

Now, that's mechanical, is that not mechanical? It didn't say this day. God didn't say, "When I trouble the water, check yourself because I'm going to heal you laying out beside the pool." He didn't say that.

See, what it was is the angel came down, troubled the water, and whoever got in first. What does that mean? Whoever wanted it bad enough got in first, which is one of the reasons why Jesus said when He went to the man lying there, He said, "Wilt thou be made whole?"

Do you want to be whole? Are you trying to get? He'd been there a while—38 years. Seems like he could have edged his way over. So, when the troubled water started, all he had to do was kind of flip over, you know?

So, Jesus said, "You know, why are you way over here? Do you even want to be healed?" And then, of course, the man, how did he respond? He didn't even answer Jesus.

"Lord, every time I try to get in, somebody else gets in ahead of me." So, what does he do? He starts complaining. That wasn't an answer; that's a complaint. Do you get that?

But now notice, whoever—okay, let me read it. Now watch this because this is what he said. It says, get back where I was at. There we go.

"Whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease." Wow! Look at the words Jesus used, or that here John used: whosoever, whatsoever. What does that mean?

Now, I'm going to say something; please understand what I mean. Okay? First, let me preface it with this: God cares. You got that? He cares for you; He loves you. God cares. Is everybody good with that? Right?

Okay, now I'm going to say something that almost sounds contradictory, but please understand what I mean by it. God doesn't care who or what. Do you get that?

He cares for you, but whosoever can get healed of whatsoever if they will mechanically get in the water first. Do you see the prerequisite? Do you see the conditions?

So, God doesn't care who it was that got healed. He didn't even care what it was they got healed of. So, whoever got healed of whatsoever. So, that means God says, "No, if you want it, I don't care what you got. Don't care who you are. You don't have to be good enough; you can't be too bad. I just—whoever."

Now, see, we look at this, and we go, "Wow, whoever!" Come on, how many people today, if you knew the pool of Bethesda was still working, right? Christian and non-Christian, how many people would show up there?

Why? Because that's a done deal. All I got to do is wait for the troubling of the water. If, man, I'm going to be right there. And then, you know, maybe you got cancer, whatever it is. You're not a paralytic; you're not lying there; you're ready.

I mean, it's right; you're on the edge of the pool; you're ready. You're like, "Yeah!" And as soon as you start to see the bubbles, I mean, right from the beginning, you look at that and you go, and everybody else is kind of looking, and you go, "What's that?"

And you jump in because everybody's going, "He got in first!" Now, come on, that's what everybody would do, ain't that right? You're going to get over there and try to get in first.

So, if you got in first, why? Because it's mechanical. How many people would do that? See, it doesn't matter who you are or what you have. Amen?

Do you get this? Now, here's the beauty of it: the pool ain't there no more. You know why? Because the pool now is in us.

And then, now get this: people can get to you, but the ones that can't, you can get to them. Amen? They might not be able to get to you, and if they can't, maybe they're, you know, whatever reason they can't move, but you can get to them.

But for you to be the pool, you got to get to them. You got to go to them. See, I can choose to go to them. Do you ever hear anybody go, "Hey, let's get together Saturday night; let's go out witnessing"?

You ever? Does that sound strange? It doesn't sound strange. Why are you going to go witnessing? What do you do? "We're going to go get some people born again."

Well, that's pretty bold. You think you can actually go get people saved? How do you know you're going to get anybody saved? I mean, what makes you even think you can? How do you know God wants to save Saturday night? Maybe He's not moving Saturday night; that's the Sabbath; He's resting.

Right? Do you understand what I'm saying? But see, we can go to them. He made it so that we can take it to them. That means I can be the pool of Bethesda for somebody.

See, that's who you are. It's not just me. Come on, do you think God's that limited? That's why He said—remember they talk about Moses, and they talk, and Moses said that all of God's people could prophesy. Remember that?

And then they were all saying, "You know, is it only Moses?" Oh no, that all of God's people—well, only that all of God's people would realize who they are in Christ and go heal the sick and raise the dead and cast out devils and do other things.

If only God's people would get a hold of that and realize that it's not just, like she said, it's not about you, but you got to go. Amen?

I mean, think about what the disciples said when they came back: "Lord, even the devils are subject to us through Your name." Can you imagine that? You got—I mean, think about it. That's the twelve. You know who the twelve included? Judas! The devils even obeyed Judas, and you think they won't obey you?

Come on, do you get that? Because you have to realize it's no longer when they look at you; they don't see you; they see Him. Why? Because you got His armor on.

All you got to do is keep that shield down, keep the shield up, and the face mask down. They don't know who they're talking to until you start talking like you, right?

All you got to do is talk like Jesus; they'll believe it's Him. Why? Because you're going in His name. But now, I go right back into training and equipping and trying to get the body of Christ activated, and I'm supposed to be talking to you about you receiving your healing.

So, but here's the one thing I've learned: God wants you well so you can help other people get well. He don't want you just to be a receiver.

Yeah, that's right. He wants you to be a purveyor. He wants you to get it and give it away, give it and give it away. Amen?

Now, I'm going to—okay, can we say that the pool of Bethesda showed—I'm not going to say proved because I'm going to give you some other scriptures to also back it up. In the mouth of two or three witnesses, that things should be established.

So, but can we agree that the pool of Bethesda shows the mechanical power of God? Whosoever healed of whatsoever—pretty mechanical, ain't that right?

All right, so let's keep going. Let's look at some more real quick. Okay, I'm not going to read all these, but you know them. You've probably heard them before.

Anyway, this one you may not be as aware of, but in Genesis 27, make sure I get—yeah, 27, verses 1-41, it talks about the blessing. And there's a point where he comes in and he says, "Father, bless me." Remember?

And he had already given away the blessing, remember that? But he got fooled, ain't that right? He got fooled and gave the blessing to the wrong person, right?

Now, think about that. We're talking about a person blessing a person, but it's the wrong person, right? Now, who's in charge of the blessing? Well, technically, God would be in charge of the blessing, isn't that right?

I mean, He's the one that's got to do the blessing. But He gave it to the wrong person, and then the right person comes in and says, "Father, bless me." And he goes, "I can't; I've already given the blessing to your brother."

The blessing can't be reversed. Think about that. Now, you think God would go, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, time out, time out! Hang on! No, no, no, you gave it to the wrong person; we're going to take it off of him. I'm going to give it to the right person. I'm going to set things right. You messed up, but we're going to set it right, so don't—so yeah, you can have the blessing."

That's supposed to—see, you would think that's what would happen, but that didn't happen. And see, we don't like that because it doesn't fit our theology.

But the fact is, the blessing, once given, couldn't be reversed. Now, there is a scripture that says, "Thanks be unto God, which has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places."

So, God has blessed you with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, and the blessing can't be reversed. So, you've got every spiritual blessing you can get. Is that right?

You've got it. So, there's not a spiritual blessing in heavenly places that you don't have. Now, where is healing? Wouldn't that be a spiritual blessing?

You got it. It's already yours. You just have to decide to walk in it. You just have to decide, "Yep, that's mine," and bless God, legs, you're going to work because I'm blessed. I'm not cursed; I'm blessed. That's right.

Amen? So, just showing you the mechanical aspect of God's power. Why couldn't He reverse the blessing? Because it's mechanical. It was given; it couldn't be reversed—the mechanical power of God.

All right, let's look at another one real quick. Now, you know the story in Exodus 17, yeah? Because I remember Aaron and Hur were with Moses on the mountain, and the Israelites are down in the valley, and they're fighting the Amalekites, and this is going on.

And it says, now get this: when Moses raised his hands, Israel won. And then as he got tired, his hands went down, and Israel started losing.

Now, think about that. So then they're going on. Now, you know how that had to be with Aaron and Hur standing there, and they're looking. They're like, "Hands up, they win. Okay, hands going down, oh, they're starting to get beat. Hands up, they're getting beat."

Moses, come on, raise your hands up again. Okay, oh, look, here we go again. I mean, it must have been something to watch. It's kind of like, "Okay," and the Israelites stand there like, "Here we go. Okay, here we go again. Let's go again."

Because that had to be what was going on because hands up, you win; hands down, you lose. Ain't that right? Sounds kind of mechanical. You get that?

Now, get this: just like the blessing couldn't be reversed, Aaron and Hur go, "You know what? Moses gets tired; let's lift his arms." We'll hold his arms up, and Israel won.

Yes! Now again, you would think God would have said, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, time out! No, come on, let's make this fair. Moses has to keep his own arms up." God didn't do that.

God said, "I don't care; I want them to win. You figure out how." You figure out how to get that. So, what did they do? They raised his hands; they held his arms up, and he wins.
