Friends, hello everyone. In the European Union, an agreement has been reached regarding the extension of temporary protection until the year 2028. This is not yet an adopted decision, but it is already a preliminary agreement of all European countries that this will need to be done. But many countries among themselves currently cannot agree regarding the non-provision of temporary protection to men who will now be entering the territory of the European Union. Now we will discuss these topics, so I very much ask you to support the video, make a repost, do not forget to subscribe. Thank you all for your support.
Well, the European Union among themselves has seemingly already agreed that temporary protection for Ukrainians will need to be continued, because, well, there isn't that number of transitions from temporary protection status to another status that they would want, that they would expect. Well, at least this is 70-80%. It is still far from this. And it, possibly, will even take more than one year to wait for Ukrainians to transition to another status. And even those countries such as Poland, which doubt, they also agree with that, because even in Poland there isn't such a large mass of people, who there are not 100% of people with Ukr status and 80 have already applied for a CUK card. No, there is also no such figure. Therefore, in general, countries agree.
But there is now a maximally serious discussion regarding the deprivation of status for men and the non-receipt of status for those men who will now be leaving. Regarding the deprivation of status, this will not happen. That is, those citizens of Ukraine, men, who are on the territory of Europe from 23 to 60 years old will not be deprived of Ukr status, but what they want is not to grant Ukr status to men from 23 to 60 years old, this discussion is currently happening maximally harshly, because there are countries, a number of countries, which agree with that question and say: "It is necessary to limit." And there are countries, they say: "It is not necessary to limit." Everyone who leaves has the right to temporary protection.
The EU has split over restrictions for Ukrainian men, which countries are for, and which are against. At the meeting of the EU Council, they are discussing the possible cancellation of temporary protection for men aged 23-60 years. No decisions have been adopted. For restrictions are Germany, Sweden, Poland, against are Estonia and Luxembourg, which insist on coordinating any changes with Kyiv. Currently, protection in the European Union is held by over 4 million, 4,320,000 citizens of Ukraine.
Austria proposes to limit temporary protection in the EU for Ukrainian men. This is written by Welt. According to the publication, Vienna is promoting the idea of stopping automatic protection for Ukrainian men aged 23-60 years after March 2027. Austria states that Ukraine needs its male citizens. There are currently no final decisions in the EU yet.
In Germany, the cancellation of temporary protection for Ukrainian men of conscription age is being discussed. The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Alexander Dobrindt, announced support for the ideas. It is about the possible exclusion of men of conscription age from the automatic protection regime. Instead, they may be offered a standard procedure for considering asylum applications. In the EU, consultations are currently underway regarding the extension of the directive on temporary protection. So, there is also no final decision yet.
Various publications are currently publishing this, because today there is precisely a meeting of the foreign ministers of the European Union. And for now there is no final decision, what is there, how it is there, but there are, you know, such insights. Somewhere a minister of one country came out, somewhere a minister of another country came out, stated to that journal, stated to that publication, and all this is thus pieced together like puzzles. That temporary protection will be extended, I have already stopped doubting and I am confident that they will extend it. Here there are no options, because there is not a single country that would unanimously, unequivocally say that yes, its citizens, that is, Ukrainians on their territory, are ready to transition to another status. There isn't. No one wants to leave those citizens of Ukraine illegal, no one is interested, because, well, they will either leave, or they will illegally wander somewhere and so on. Well, it's not profitable for anyone. Countries do not want to allow this. And so there are enough illegal immigrants in the countries of the European Union. Therefore, temporary protection, most likely, by 95 percent will be extended. That is, this initiative is supported and temporary protection will be until the year 2028.
Oh, as for men aged 23 to 60 years who will be entering the European Union's territory after 2027, they might not be lucky here and might not be granted temporary protection. This is a fact, because there are a number of countries that say: "Hmm, well, we will not provide temporary protection." And others say: "We will." And here we will see. Here the final word, probably, will be with Poland, Germany, and the Czech Republic, and Ukraine as well. As we see and hear, they say that Kyiv will have the final word. And there is another publication that says that the word will precisely be with those who have the most citizens of Ukraine, that is, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland. There, if you sum up all citizens with temporary protection, almost a million in Poland, 1,300,000 in Germany, and about 400,000 in the Czech Republic. This, well, we are a little short of 3 million just in those three countries. And certainly, attention will be paid to the decisions and voices and proposals of those three countries and they will be taken into account. That is, the foreign ministers, the interior ministers of these countries, if they speak out, one must listen carefully to what they say, what they will declare, what they will propose. This is what needs to be paid maximum attention to. And of course, everyone, there is Austria, and Italy, and Spain, well, simply there isn't such a mass presence there and attention will precisely be paid to what is happening in those countries, on what documents are there, how many are there accordingly, and what these countries will propose. From them will depend the future of temporary protection and the future of men who will be entering. Whether they will receive temporary protection, or, perhaps, they will try to immediately receive asylum, or enter already on such documents that have existed for years, and remain on them, because this right will not be taken away from them. That is, if Ukraine lets them through the border, and in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic, and other countries temporary protection is not provided, well, then they remain on those documents on which they entered, which expire over time, which cease their validity. Well, and after that, they either somehow continue them, make new ones, or remain illegally. That is, well, there are options.
And, of course, each citizen will decide that matter for themselves, how it is, what and to what extent. But today by the end of the day, tomorrow we will already know what might have been adopted there. Now it is necessary to listen in detail to what the Eurocommissioners, ministers, and representatives of the highest authorities of those countries will say. And from this draw conclusions about what awaits Ukrainians after 2027. Well, because until 2027 nothing special will change. Until March 2027, there is temporary protection in the countries of the European Union, in any country. And already after March 2027, here there will be a big question mark: temporary protection will be extended, but with some certain restrictions or some certain amendments. This is exactly what we are waiting for now and discussing, what, how, to whom, in what way today, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow some certain specific proposals, I think, will already appear, decisions, I doubt, but some certain proposals that can already be taken as a basis, will definitely be there. And first of all, one must listen to Poland, Germany, and the Czech Republic.
