Friends, the Apple WWDC 2026 event has just concluded. I am currently at Apple Park, and you can see how beautiful the background is. I am recording this video right here because I wanted to. Let's see what happened at WWDC and what changes Apple made. We will look at the changes made in the next generation iOS 27, iPadOS, and macOS compared to last year and this year.
I cannot cover everything completely. I will talk about the five major things that I liked. First, Siri. We can say that Siri has now become Super Siri. This is because they have now given it all the Apple Intelligence features. Siri has become very intelligent now. Apple has done a smart thing by putting aside the ChatGPT team and adopting Google's model. So, Google and Apple have now created models together. You can now use many of the features you use in Google within Apple as well. I will explain them one by one.
In Google, when we see something on the screen, what do we do? We circle it to search. Using Siri, you can ask questions about what is visible on your screen. Just press the power button to wake up Siri. If you see any photo on your screen, ask Siri for details about it. Siri will give you all the details. And what else do we do on Android? When we see something, we open Google Gemini Live, open the camera, show it, and ask questions about it, right? About things we don't know. Now, Siri has also brought this feature. How? If you open the Camera app on your iPhone, as soon as you open the camera, there will be a separate option for Siri. Click on it, take a photo of whatever you see, and ask Siri. Siri will tell you the complete answer. They are calling this Visual Intelligence. So, this has also been added to Siri.
Not only that, if you need to write emails or messages, Siri will help you there too. Just give it some information. For example, if you want to write a leave letter, give it some information about what you want to write, and it will prepare a complete draft for you. You can then make modifications and send it. Simple. And not only that, you can also change Siri's voice to your liking. You can customize how fast it speaks, its pace, everything. I really liked this too. However, it currently only works for English. It only functions in English. There is nothing for our Telugu language. They are saying that they will bring it for other languages soon. For now, it's only English.
Then there's proofreading. When we type something and make mistakes, normally we have to select it and proofread to correct the errors. Instead of that, they have integrated proofreading completely. When you are typing a message anywhere and make a mistake, proofreading will automatically correct it. It will correct your grammar, spelling, everything. I really liked this too. And not only that, Siri has been completely integrated into apps as well. Now, if you ask Siri something, it can search for everything. For example, if you are looking for photos, say you want photos of a Rakhi or a German Shepherd dog, or anything. If you type it and wake up Siri, it will show you all the related photos from your gallery. So, you can use Siri like this anywhere.
The beauty here is that in the Apple ecosystem, all the features I mentioned can be used on Mac, iPadOS, iOS, and even on Apple Watch. So, this is the beauty. They have also brought a separate app for Siri, like ChatGPT Gemini. So, just as you use Gemini or ChatGPT, you can use the Siri app too. The main thing is that in this WWDC 2026, in terms of AI, Siri has been given superpowers. So, this will help you a lot. These features will be very useful in your daily life.
And the next thing I liked was Photoshop. Previously, we had a "Clean Up" option, but it didn't work that well. Even after cleaning, removing details, and adding missing objects, it made some mistakes. Now, they have made it even better. The cleanup will be much better now. Along with that, if you took an image in close-up and want to extend it, they have brought an "Extend" feature for this too. So, it will help you extend the image. We see these features in Android, and they have brought them into the Photos app.
So, what I liked about the Photos app is that when you are editing, you can use a special option. This special option is that you can see it in real-time. You are editing the photo, right? I took a photo here, and I am not in the center. I want to move my photo to the center. If I move it like this, how will the photo change? We can see that in real-time. I liked these features in the Photos app too.
And another thing I liked was Parental Controls. We can now control children even more deeply. Apple has given a lot of importance to child safety. This means we can control which apps children use. Even in the App Store, every app shows its age rating. Which age group can use the app. When you install an app, how this is useful is that in Parental Controls, you can select apps for your children according to their age. You can even restrict websites, you can do everything. So, they can only see those things.
And another thing is that we can set limits on how much time they spend on each app. For example, how much time they spend on entertainment. We can also set limits on games. If they play games for too long, the games will stop once the limit is reached. They will have to go to entertainment. You can set it up as you like, and you can also make changes to it in the future as they grow older. With parental controls, you can control what messages to give them, what not to give, who they can talk to, everything. They have brought this in very well now because social media is being banned in many countries, and children are getting spoiled under 16. So, it's understandable that they have focused on this too.
Next, you can also use the Image Playground app, which means you can create and generate images. For example, if you want to wish your friend a happy birthday, you can upload his photo and ask to put a cake in his hand, and candles on the cake. Describe anything, and it will add the image. However, there are limitations. You cannot create too many images; they are putting some limits. Another good thing about Image Playground is that if you tell it what aspect ratio photos you want, it will create them. Do you want vertical or horizontal? In whatever aspect ratio you want the photo, it will give you the photo in that aspect ratio.
Another beauty here is that any images or data you give to Apple, they will not have access to it. They have put a big emphasis on privacy. So, whether you do it on-device or use the internet, nothing will be stored in their cloud. So, this can be considered good news in terms of privacy.
Regarding UI changes, in iOS 27, you will have a glass theme. Many people complained that they couldn't see the text properly due to the glass theme. Now, we can control that too. If you like the transparency, you can set the background, so the text will appear more elevated and visible. So, this is one change. And the app icons are also changing completely. They are bringing a glass effect to the app icons as well. It's a 3D glass effect, slightly different. The app icons will look better to you now when you are changing the theme. The entire UI has been sped up. Apps will open 30% faster in 27 compared to 26. And if you take a photo, it takes some time to open in the library, right? That has also become much faster. According to them, they have made it 70% faster. And when you transfer photos via AirDrop to your friends, they say they have made it 80% faster compared to the previous generation. So, everything has become faster, smoother, and the glass effect has also been tweaked a bit. It will be a bit better now. So, they say that using these will also give you a good experience, but we will have to see when it comes out. This will come as a beta. Which phones will get iOS 27? All iPhone 11 and above phones will get it. However, many of the AI features I mentioned will not be available on iPhone 11. They will only be supported on Apple Intelligence-supported devices. That means iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max, iPhone 16 Pro, 16 Pro Max, iPhone 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, and iPhone 8 will support these Apple Intelligence features.
