Hallelujah, good afternoon again. Um, this is Lawrence. And uh, real quick, we'll be talking about something very, very important to the average believer, or to every single believer. And we're talking about hearing God's voice and discerning God's will. And I want to first and foremost, welcome you. Thank you for joining. Thank you for coming online. God has been saying a lot of awesome things, and I'm trusting God that as you listen, as you watch, as you, as you receive, you will begin to discern God's voice even on a deeper level. And if there's any way you have already begun to walk astray, or walk, you know, outside of God's will, by the mercy of God, you will be brought back on track today in Jesus' name.
Once again, hello. I see you guys. Thank you so much for joining. Invite your friends. I'm gonna kick off in about 30 seconds to one minute. I'm trusting God to be as brief as possible. Let me begin with this story. Um, some of us who have read the book by Kenneth E. Hagin, of blessed memory, um, I'm not sure I remember exact, exactly which one right now. I think it's probably "Parachutes and Purpose," "Prosciutto and Something Like That." He spoke there about how he had begun ministry and, uh, he had been doing mighty things for God, you know. And several of us watching, we want to do mighty things for God. And, uh, we want to heal the sick, want to raise the dead, want to do so many, or somethings, you know. And, uh, he said he had been doing great things already. And for about, I think, 12 years, he went on, you know, doing all the things that he knew was good to do. And then this day, Jesus appears to him and then tells him that he had wasted about, thank you, sir. I see that. "Plans, Purposes, and Prosciutto." Wasted about 12 years of his life, you know, doing stuffs that God did not ask him to do. Now, I read that book probably 2011 or so, and that scared me. Because, and, you know, Jesus said something again that, that touched me. I mean, to him, he said, "Most people actually come to the end of their life and do not even start what they are on earth to do." As most people will finish what they call ministry, or finish, you know, what they call purpose, and not even know. That's, that's, I don't know about you, but that's scary. To live 60, 70 years of your life and not even have started to scratch the surface of what God brought you to this earth to do. All right. So if I were you, I would listen very attentively. All right. And trust God for even direction. As this, um, short charge is going on. Hallelujah. Invite your friends. Invite your family members. I'm kicking off right away. Hallelujah. If you don't mind, just pray in the spirit. I always, I always want us to begin by praying in the spirit. Prepare your hearts. Just right now, just begin to pray in tongues and just begin to declare by yourself. I am receptive to the word of God. I understand the word of God. My eyes are enlightened in the name of Jesus. I understand the scriptures in the name of Jesus. The scriptures has a hold of my heart. My heart is open to receive. And I am walking in understanding of what I have received. I will not be lazy about it. I will not be defensive about it. I will receive God's word and I will act on it. Just declare it by yourself. Declare that by yourself. It's always good to, you know, speak words, use words in preparing yourself, right, to receive. You shall have what you say. Declare by yourself. Okay. Hallelujah.
All right, right away. We're talking about discerning God's will. If you just joined us, we are talking about discerning God's will, hearing God's voice. And I shared the story of Pastor Kenneth E. Hagin, who did mighty things for God. And after 12 years of doing so much, Jesus confronted him and told him he had been wasting time. You know, right now, I'm just reminded of something that happened last year. We were on a 90 days, um, prayer back home in Nigeria. You know, we're praying in tongues every single day for, for, for 12 hours. And God began to reveal things about His mind for the body of Christ and so on. And on this particular day, I remember very clearly, we began to pray in the Holy Ghost. And God began to inspire us to pray for all our fathers in the land who have, you know, been distracted, who have lost their ways. Okay. We don't judge people. You just compassionately intercede and pray for them because it could have been you. All right. So if you see someone who is not, what you should do is ensure that you intercede and pray for that person to receive the light. So we began praying, praying, and praying. And God began to say, "Pray for these people and ask that I will encounter them and confront them, just like Paul, just like, and John." Paul was confronted by, um, by, uh, by Jesus on the way to Damascus. You know, an encounter that will, you know, shape them up and bring them back to their senses. Something like that. So we began praying and we began declaring. I remember very clearly, we were screaming and shouting, "The Lord Jesus, confront them, confront them, confront them!" You know, because some of them have gone beyond confrontation of man. All right. And many of them will never know until the last day that they were wasting years and years upon years. And I pray that's not going to be your portion in Jesus' name. But anyway, to cut the long story short, that's very weak. Oh my God, it's awesome to know that God hears us and God answers us. That's very weak. We had a testimony of one of our foremost, you know, one of us came and told us that, that's very weak. There's this denomination. I don't want, I'm not going to mention names, but there's this denomination, one of the most popular, you know, you can't be in Nigeria and not know this denomination. All right. And he said the General Overseer had a vision of Jesus who appeared to him that week. And, you know, said something like, "What?" Yeah. He told them, "Kenneth Hagin, of blessed memory." You know. And I'm, I'm just going to leave it right there for, for the sake of, um, [Music] the sensitivity of the issue and all that. The truth is, many people, unless God intervenes, will move to the end of their lives and not even have started what they are on earth for. And that's painful, to say the least. All right. So that's why we're dealing with this today. [Music]
First and foremost, I want to lay a foundation for hearing God's voice. Okay. And, uh, in Psalm 24, you'll find the scriptures saying that "He that comes to God must, must," sorry, Psalm 24, it says that, "Who shall ascend to the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in His holy place?" And then he goes on to say, "He that has clean hands and a pure heart." All right. Take note. We learn from the Old Testament and we live by the New. All right. So many of these scripts, or these principles, they never changed. They don't change simply because you're a new creation. It doesn't change the protocol, the principle that that governs, you know, God's dealings. All right. So if you are not with a pure heart, if you have idols in your hearts, you are going to hear according to the idols that are in your heart. All right. I'm trying to lay this very important foundation because this is the reason many people think they are hearing God, or actually are hearing themselves. All right. Now, I'm going to show you a very scary scripture because the Holy Ghost is reminding me of that right now. The day I saw this, I began to, you know, ask God questions. "The Lord, but the Bible says that you're not a man that you should lie." Look at Psalm 89:35. [Music] Psalm 89:35. The Bible says in Psalm 89, verse 35, "Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David." I say again, "Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David." Why is God swearing that He won't lie? You know, I looked at that scripture, I began to wonder, "What's going on here?" [Music] God cannot lie. So why does He have to swear that He will not lie to David? Does He lie? All right. So I want you to pay attention so you don't misunderstand what I'm saying. When a man consistently allows idols, what I mean by idols is, um, you know, secret things that you worship, things that, that, that are exalted above God in your hearts, you know, things that take more attention, things that actually, that you seek above God. All right. Let's just, let's just leave it like that. Idols are things that, you know, that are attracting your worship. Okay. And your worship is your attention, your time, your resources. All right. So anything that attracts more worship above God is an idol. Okay. So now, when somebody has idols in their hearts, they begin to receive according to the idols that they have in their hearts. And I'm going to paint some interesting examples as, as we go on. Ezekiel chapter 14, we see something that happened there. And which goes on to, you know, confirm the, the question some will have, "Does God lie?" I mean, I thought God is not the man that He should lie, neither is He the son of man that He repents. Why is the Bible saying this? Give me a second. [Music] All right. Ezekiel chapter 14, verse 5. Now, you can read it from the beginning. He gets to verse 5 and he says, [Music] "That I may take the house of Israel in their own heart because they are all estranged from me through their idols." It goes on. And then I'm looking for the part where it says, [Music] "Thank you, Jesus." All right. Verse 7. He says, "For everyone of the house of Israel, or the stranger that sojourneth Israel, which separateth himself from me, and setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to inquire of him concerning me; I the Lord will answer him by myself." And then it goes on and on and on and on. I'm looking for the exact. Give me a second. Let me show that to you real quick. [Music] Thank you, Father. Okay. I think that's verse 4. Oh, that was for. All right. It says, "Therefore speak unto them and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet, I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols." Okay. That right there, you're seeing God saying, "I'm going to answer them according to the multitude of his idols." And, uh, very quickly, let me say to you that God does not deceive people. All right. And because of the tenses and, and the limitation of language of the English language, all right, of every language, anyways, some of the expressions have a way of confusing people. That's why you must be ready to go beyond the letters of scriptures into the spirit of it. And then, if you, if you have time, and we should have time, have, um, have a Hebrew and, you know, and Greek Bible or, or a means of finding out the root words of some of these things, and then you understand it much better. The summary is, when you come to God saying that you want, for example, Mr. E, you want to know if Mr. E is your husband. If you already like Mr. E, then don't talk to God about confirming if he's your husband, because you will likely hear that he is your husband. That's a good example. All right. So according to the idols of your heart, that is most likely how you will receive. All right. So if you want something, if you desire something, if you have a lust towards something, you will likely hear towards that direction. And so that is the reason for the confusion many people have. You know, 10 people having the same dream of of a lady that got to them, they are going to marry, or, you know, and different things. And you're wondering, "Is God?" A lot of confusion. One of the dreams must have come from the devil. All right. Out of 10, if you agree with me that God desires that we will be, uh, will be husbands of one wife, so if, if 10 people are seeing one person, it definitely means that nine out of the 10, all right, are seen wrongly. And many times they are believers. So what I'm telling you, it might sound funny, but it's very, very serious. Because you might not necessarily have something very serious you want to discern God's will on right now, but a point will come in your life where you need to make a critical decision, you know, whether to move to a place to settle down, or to, you know, who to marry, or what school to go to, or what to do with your life, you know, what your purpose is, you know, very important things. And you need God's direction. If you don't start learning and practicing now to hear, because everything gets better as you practice. Okay. Practicing is very important in the kingdom of God. I say that in some of the previous videos. And so, real quick, we're going to go into, um, how to deal with idols. Okay. Spend time in God's presence. All right. Spend time in the presence of God. The Bible says that "You delight yourselves in the Lord, and you will, you will answer the request of your heart." What does that mean? When you delight yourself, how do you do that? You know, spend time with God and just get excited about God. Fill your heart with God's word. Stay in prayer. Just bless Him from the depths of your heart, you know, seeking for Him, not for anything. All right. Seeking just for Him. And that is very, very, very, very, very, you know, that's lacking in the body of Christ. People don't come to church again just because they just want to be with Jesus. It's because they want something. They always want something. They always want something. That's why they're around. That's why they are coming. Something is in their hearts that they want. So when you have that kind of, um, when you have that kind of a foundation for your seeking God, you are likely to be misled. All right. So as much as possible, be objective. Just come before God and don't, don't put God under pressure. Okay. He can't even be put under pressure. So don't bother trying. Don't threaten Him. Just come before Him and be excited about being His daughter, His son. He has done enough for you to be excited about. Even if He doesn't give you, um, even if you don't get their wife, husband, or child, or, you know, with the job, or, you know, He doesn't speak to you. And by the way, He's speaking to you. But just, even if He wasn't speaking to you, I think He has done enough to, you know, to be worthy of your praise and thanksgiving and so on. So come before God and be excited about being in His presence. All right. Take delight in Him. You know, love on Him. Just love Him for Him. And I pray what I'm saying will really sink down into your heart as I'm saying this because God is yearning for people who will just seek Him. Bible says, "This is this generation of them that seek Him." Psalm 24, "I seek thy face, O Jacob." So what does that mean? There are people who seek God's hands, and there are people who seek God's face. Very few people seek God's face. So as much as possible, tell God to help you that every time you come before Him in the morning, it will not be about something you want to get. Don't attach it to anything. All right. Because this is the foundation of your heart that we hear God and hearing clearly. We hear a lot of people saying, "Still small voice." "Two small boys." "Two small voice." Where did you find "still small voice" in scripture? All right. We hear this. We see it in a lot of books that God speaks in a still small voice. Let me tell you, first and foremost, that you will never find that in the New Testament. And where they get that reference from, which is Elijah hearing a still small voice, if you remember, Elijah was in a backsliding state. Elijah had gone so far at this point in time. He was in a backsliding state. He was literally about to give up. All right. And he had the still small voice. That's the only reference that you have for "still small voice." I believe that God's voice can be so loud, you can't deny that you heard it. Right. So if you are confused, if you are, you don't know, once, once you don't know, there's a problem. There's always, there's a problem. And I want us to face reality. Once, once you can't hear the voice of your Father, there's a problem. Look at the New Testament. There was nothing like that in the life of Jesus. These guys knew the voice of God. Look at the apostles. There was no confusion. As they ministered unto the Lord, the Holy Ghost said, "Separate me Barnabas and Saul." That was that was the life that the early church lived. There was no confusion. There was no, there was no trying to, you know, "Let's confirm it again. Confirm it again." Where, where in the New Testament do you see an apostle waiting for somebody else to come and tell him that what God said is true? But faith has so dropped. It has gotten so bad in our generation, and people start looking for signs and wonders to to confirm what God has told you. If you know the way God speaks to you, why do you need the confirmation? All right. Well, before we, I don't, I don't want to, I don't want to go ahead of myself. Before, before we go into all that, let's just, you deal with the issue of idols. So when you, issue of idols is settled, and you're sure you're coming to God just for God. All right. Yes, you can come to God because you want direction. It's okay. But I'm saying, let it not be that that is the only time you come to God. All right. Love Him. Seek Him. Whether or not you need anything. You don't have to need something to talk to God. Okay. Imagine a daughter or a son who only talks to his father or his mother when they need something. What kind of relationship do you think that is? Do you think that son or daughter will hear a lot of his or her father's voice? No. All right. So some of the things that we experience, we just, we just caused it ourselves. We are the reason for the confusion and the darkness, the, you know, the, um, the clouding of the mind. You don't know whether it is this or it is that. And for years and years and years, people are not even sure what they began 10 years ago is of God in the first place because, you know. Anyways, let's go on. [Music]
The Bible says in John chapter 10 and verse 16 and verse 27, Jesus repeats Himself and says that, "My sheep hear my voice." All right. So that sorts out the question of, "Am I hearing God's voice?" And I want to believe I'm speaking to believers. If you're not a believer, towards the end of this video, um, I'll give you an opportunity, all right, to, you know, just confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior. As these words are coming forth, these are the words of life. You will, the miracle of salvation will take place in your heart. All right. But I want you to pay attention to this. Once you are a believer, you start hearing God's voice. This is a, I'm laying the foundation right now before we go into the how. Once I believe that you start hearing, you start hearing. There is no child that you give back to that is a normal child that is born without ears. It's abnormal. All right. There's no child that is born and that's not here. All right. Unless there is a problem, a medical problem. So think about it. How can a believer, you know, be born without the ability to hear? It's just common sense. It's not possible. So there is no way you tell me you're not hearing God's voice. You are hearing God's voice. You are hearing God's voice. But the problem is, if someone is trying to talk to me and there is so much noise in the background, have you ever picked a call before and you're talking to someone and you're hearing noise in the background even louder than the person that is talking to you on the phone? Thank you, Jesus. [Music] As long as there is noise in the background, you will have issues discerning. That's why we're talking about discerning now, because you're hearing already. So the issue now is discerning, which is the voice. All right. God is not whispering. He's talking to you. He's speaking loudly. And the more quiet your your soul, or your spirit, or your mind is, the louder His voice will get. Do you get it? So when you hear someone say "still small voice," they are referring to somebody who is in his backsliding state. I'm telling you, and I want you to please take note of that. Please take note of that. God's voice, because whatever you know as the foundation of your, of your Christian faith is what you're going to work with. There are people who are never confused. All right. The people who know what they're supposed to do years before they even do it. Okay. There are people who know what's going to happen 10, 20 years from now. I've read books, I've watched videos, I've, I've seen that there are people who have discerned the will of God for several years to come. And everything all down, they don't have two heads. So what makes the will of God so difficult for someone and so easy for another? So first and foremost, take away the idols. Take away those, those secret worships in your heart, those things that are taking the place of God. You know, secret desire to be famous. If I have a secret desire to be famous, for example, I will be hearing God telling me to do things that will make me famous. Are you getting the point? If I have a secret desire to, you know, to whatever it is, if you have a secret desire to do something, you will start hearing in that area. All right. Let me give you an illustration. Have you noticed that when you probably, you know, you start talking, you're thinking of buying a car, and probably messages, for example, all of a sudden you start seeing messages all over the place? It's like everyone is driving. I don't know if you've expressed what I'm saying. You start seeing that same thing that you have been thinking of or you have dwelt on. You know why? Because all of a sudden, your mind, or your radar, is tuned to that particular, you know, thing or whatever it is. So it's not because you've not been seeing it before. There have been people driving that particular brand of car. But the moment you're thinking of buying, and then you research into what you want to buy, and you spot, you know, a, a, a car, a car type that you want to get, all of a sudden you start seeing that car, you know, all over the place. They've been there, but like your spirit, or your, or your soul has been tuned to that direction. So you are seeing it more. That's how it is as far as God is concerned. When you tune your radar to the network of heaven, you will be hearing. You realize God talks. God talks. God is talking every time. God always has something to say. You know, I'm just reminded of of the awesome song we used to sing, "Our Younger God has something to say, God has something to say. Listen, listen, pay rapt attention, for God has something to say." Thank you, Jesus. Thank you so much, Father. Thank you because you're speaking. Thank you because today we'll begin hearing. Thank you, Father. And so that point has been established. John 10:16 and 27. Those two, those two, um, verses, you see that God, Jesus said, "My sheep hear." Okay. So if you're a sheep, you are hearing. All right. Thank you, Father. The last statement I just made before now, I want to, I want to emphasize it real quick. Because some people think God doesn't like talking. Right? They have, you have a misconception. And every misconception, every wrong image you have about God is going to affect the way you receive. It's going to affect how much you get out of God. All right. And they've taught these same things in church. Okay. That God doesn't just talk. God, God, you know, God, for some reason, He's, He's keeping males, you know, skipping to himself. You still small voice. You whisper. You mean whatever. When you hear it, you have to pay attention. You know, before you can hear it. It doesn't, doesn't like talking. And you wonder, a relationship in which one person is not talking, isn't there a problem? Okay. Every relationship thrives on communication. It doesn't matter how long you've been married, you just stop talking. See, it doesn't matter how much understanding you have with somebody. It doesn't matter how tight of friends you are. If communication stops, that lifeline of friendship, that fellowship, begins to die. All right. And that's why we must keep on talking, communicating, fellowshipping with God. It's as simple as that. We have these earthly things to teach us spiritual things. All right. So keep talking to God. Keep on loving on Him. If you want Him to talk, one of the simplest ways I tell people, if you want God to talk, why not start by talking? But I don't have to start by talking about what your needs are, for crying out loud. You don't have to start by what the problem is. There's so many to talk about. If you don't have anything to talk about, thank Him. And if you don't have anything to thank Him for, then we already have a problem right there, because you don't value what He has done, or you think He hasn't done anything yet. Start thanking Him for the littlest thing. The fact that you woke up this morning. Spend time on thanking Him. Every single little thing. You find that when you count your blessings, it will surprise you what the Lord has done. You just start there. Talk to Him. And talk to Him about your day. What makes you think He doesn't want to hear that? What makes you think He's too early to listen to how your day went? We do not have a High Priest that is, you know, we haven't a priest that He's taught actually by our feelings, our, you know, all that we, all that we go through. He was tempted at every point. So He understands. He understands us. I, you know, I was reading scriptures one day, and it began to dawn on me how much, how human Jesus was. How human Jesus was. And His humanity hasn't left Him. Jesus is so human. He would cry for someone who He knew was going to come back to life. No, they literally said, "Oh, see how much He loved him," because He cried. Jesus wept. I know some of us will receive remember from there and say, um, He was weeping because of the unbelief of the people and all that. Anyways, whichever way you like to put it, He expressed a human emotion there by weeping. So He's very human. Some of us can't remember the last time we cried, even if we didn't cry for something. But at least in the presence of God, some of us came about. When last we worshipped and got to the point of tears, right? So we are losing, we are losing quickly losing that aspect of our, of our relationship with God that has to do with our, our soul. The Bible says, "You should love the Lord your God with all your mind, or your soul, with all your heart, with all your strength." All right. Your mind involves your will, emotions, and intellect. So it's okay to cry. It's okay. And in fact, it's one of the signs that you have broken through into places in the spirit is that you begin to become vulnerable emotionally. All right. If you both fought in laughter, you both fought in tears. Okay. So if you can't remember when last emotions, you know, um, was a part of characterizing your work with God, you're probably beginning to add drama. You're staging the show, even in your secret place. All right. Please, I want to, I want to encourage you. I know that I'm saying so many things at the same time, but I just want to follow the Holy Ghost. I know I'm speaking to some people right now. Please, I beg of you. [Music] Let that tenderness of heart fill your secret place. Don't be, don't feel, don't feel ashamed to be vulnerable in the boss, in a car, you know, in a place of work, just overcome by God's presence. It's not a church thing. Some of us only know how to do it in church, and that's because you do it. Hallelujah. It's not something that you try to do. It is a spontaneous result of breakthrough in the spirit. Emotions, right? Worship God. Love Him with your emotions. Don't be afraid to, to be vulnerable. What people say when they see me running on the floor, crying, or singing loudly, or raising my hand, or dancing, and see if I'm not a serious person. No, I should, I should comfort myself. No. All right. So as much as possible, Jesus was that humor, not natural. Then what we're basically saying is we should emulate that. I was trying to say that Jesus was so natural and so human and so calm and sociable that sinners were not afraid to hang around Him. If the Pharisees literally said that Jesus couldn't be the Son of God because He was eating with sinners. All right. He was eating with sinners. And, you know, they couldn't believe that He could, He could communicate effectively with people who were not as holy as He was. Hallelujah. And I'm reminded again of how children will, you know, play around Jesus, sit on His lap, you know, they were running towards Him, and the apostles were saying, "No, no, no, no, don't come to Him. Don't, don't." You wanted to stop the children. He said, "No, allow them. Come, but of such is the kingdom of God." So if children, one thing you must note, that children, children don't hang around people who are too tight-faced and too serious. Children are happy beings. They are, yeah, they like people who are, you know, excited, alive. So once you find a child in love with somebody, or, you know, happy about hanging around someone, that person must have an attribute. All right. Something that attracts their kind. So as much as possible, Jesus was that kind of a person. We should be those kind of people who are not too hard. All right. Too complicated. Okay. So let's go on real quick. Thank you, Father. We hear God's voice. I've said that already. And, um, it's one of the proofs that you're a child of God. Every child hears the voice of his father. You don't need your brother to tell you what your father is saying. Okay. So the first thing to not take away the idols. And then, um, First Corinthians 2:16, the scripture says that "We have the mind of Christ." Okay. And, um, I'm not going to go to that point here. Let's, let's, let's go to the, to the second point as a first point. All right. So let's, if you're writing, you can write, "Noah." All right. There's a "Noah" inside of you. There's another inside of you. And First John 2:20 says that "We have the unction of the Holy One, and we know all things." All right. So there's a "know" inside of you. Now, how does this work? The "know" does not have any form of physical proof to, you know, to confirm that he knows it. You just know. You just know. I don't know if you've experienced what I'm saying, but you can just walk up to a place and just know that something is wrong. You just know. Everything is fine with the setting. Everything is fine with the arrangement of chairs, all right, in the house, or in a church, wherever it is, or in the place of work, but you just feel something is wrong somewhere. You just know. Okay. So there's a "know" inside of you that just knows things. You can meet people and just know something is wrong. You just know that this person is not of God. You just know. The person is acting nicely, personally smiling, dressed well. Well, you just know. You just know something is wrong. And like they say, say women are most instead of men. And women tend to, to, you know, express this aspect of, um, you know, a dimension in a marriage. They just seem to know when something is wrong. All right. They can't, they can't, they can't say why. And that's why the husbands, being logical people, all right, will say, "You've come again. You want this your, you know, you know." And then many times they're right. Because you must learn to trust that "Noah." There's a "Noah" inside of you. You just know things. So that's one of the ways you can know that this is the will of God for me. You can know. But like I said, please don't forget the foundations you have laid before. Everything I'm going to say from henceforth, right now, is subject to the points made earlier. If your heart is not pure, your hands are not clean, and you are not objective about your coming to God, you are likely to receive wrongly through all these, you know, dimensions of hearing God's voice. So you can think you know something, and it is wrong. All right. So please, I want to beg you, take care of the foundation. Make sure that your heart is right. Make sure that your fellowship with God is intact. That you're fine, you know, spiritually. Make sure that your heart is tender. Make sure that you're listening. Make sure that you, your love for God is intact. All right. Once all that has been taken care of, then you can start talking about this. All right. Hallelujah. So number one, we said there's a "Noah." Mark 5:30 shows us that again. There's a "Noah." You can't just know. Bible says Jesus just knew in Himself that power had gone out of Him. You just know. All right. If you read further down in some other versions or some other parts, um, I think it's recorded about twice or so in the gospel. So you see that He said He felt power go out of Him. All right. Other way, does it know? You just know. You just know that something has happened. Okay. So apart from the "Noah" dimension, the second dimension is the dimension of peace. Colossians 3:15 says that "The peace of God can rule in our hearts." To rule is to govern. All right. Colossians 3:15. If you're writing, to rule means to govern. So the peace of God can rule. All right. The peace of God can direct. It can give instruction. It can guide, because rules guide. Okay. So how does this happen? Many times you just find that you just have peace about an issue. There's no worry in your heart. Okay. Don't forget, if the foundation is wrong, you can have peace about something that is wrong. All right. So please, I beg you in the name of God, sort out the foundation. Okay. I, I can't say this too much. Sort out the foundation. Because if it's wrong, every other thing will be wrong. It's like a mathematical equation. Once one thing is wrong, it affects the results. All right. Once a step in the formula is wrong, it affects your results. Doesn't matter how fine your handwriting is. It doesn't matter how brilliant you are. If you miss a step, you get the wrong, you know, results. So please, sort out the issue of your heart. You can feel that there's nothing wrong about something, and yet there's something wrong. All right. So please, the peace of God can rule. The Bible says that "He leads us beside still waters." Still has to do again with peace. You know, still waters. God can guide you. And Jesus Himself is known as the Prince of Peace. So that, that tells you something about Himself. The Bible says, "He will keep him in perfect peace, him whose mind is stayed on Him." So if your heart is focused on God's word, on Jesus, you know, just loving on God, you'll be at peace. And if there's any reason to be careful, you know, He will speak to you by taking that peace. All right. You will lose peace on that matter. And that is God's, one of God's precious ways of leading His saints. Many of you have experienced what I'm talking about. No, you just, you just start getting bored. Aware. You don't know why. You don't know why. And I want to beg you in the name, please, I beg you, don't always, don't follow, don't follow, don't follow sights. Babies will work by faith, not by sight. These are principles of faith right here. All right. So please, don't, don't follow sights. Everything can work nice in the natural, but if you lose your peace, please pause. Pause. Don't go further. Don't tag along. Don't, don't pray everything. No, pause. Take a serious heart right there. Once you lose your peace over something, take a serious hold right there. Okay. It will save you a lot of problems later. Many problems that we have, if you think back, you know, objectively, like I will say, you will notice that there was a point when a warning came. There was a point when you felt disturbed. There was a point when something happened, what you overlooked it. There was a point someone said something, or you noticed something. All right. So that goes to that, takes us to the next one, which is checks and impressions. Okay. As I just call it, checks and impressions. You just have like a check or an impression. Right? You can find that in, um, the same Mark 30. That's the way you just, you just, just feel that you just, you just know it. All right. You just feel. You just know. It's a dimension of the "Noah" as well. You can just know you should stop something or you should, you know, you should go ahead with something. A check or impression. You know, you just feel an impression to to do something. All right. It might not be the, you know, audible voice, God shouting from the heavens, and, you know, "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." You may not hear that way. All right. But it will be loud enough for you to recognize it. All right. Hallelujah. So there's such a thing as checks and impressions. You can, you can just feel a check that something is up. Something's up. I should do this. So I should, you know, park the car right now. I should, you know, just do something. I should call this person. I should, you know. And you just find that you were right on time. All right. I remember a day I was just lying down on the couch in the parlor back at home. And and I just, just thought about this friend of mine. And when you begin to receive those checks and impressions, or, you know, when you start, as you start learning to hear God's voice, I want to advise you as well. Keep asking questions. Ask God questions. Okay. So if you feel, just, just receive a check about someone or something, ask God why. Okay. Don't just feel, "I just feel a check." What's the check for? Okay. You just feel an impression. What is that for? Okay. So ask Him questions. God is not, that's why you have to lay the foundation of the fact that God is not afraid to talk to you. He's not shy. He's not afraid. He's not intimidated by you. So stop thinking that God might not want to talk. You might not want to reply me. He doesn't talk too much. Okay. He has said one thing. You know, record the scripture. "Once have I spoken; twice have I heard." So God only speaks once. Hallelujah. It is well. I just thank God because God is bringing light in this, you know, in this last hour because many people have been cheated because of lack of understanding. Ask God questions. The Bible says, "Ask, and you shall receive." You want to choose what you are going to believe. If you want to believe that He speaks once, fine. You hear Him only once on every single matter. God can speak to you twice on the same thing. Believe me. He can speak to you thrice. It's not, it's not disobedience. He can speak to you again and again. He can give you details. He wants to give you details. Okay. He's a good God. Lay that foundation. He's a God of love. He does not want us to be in confusion. The Holy Ghost is here in the first place to teach us, to comfort us, to guide us. So why would He be tired of doing the one thing He's here for? Like Jesus said, He's going to go and send another Comforter who will guide us into all truth. So why would the Holy Ghost, who is here for guidance, be tired of guiding? Ask questions, right? Ask Him questions. Why are you giving me this check? Why am I losing my peace on this matter? Speak to me more. You know, tell me something that's something that this person is not telling me. That's something those people are not telling me. Is there something they are hiding? Is that something I need to know about my son or daughter? You know, you just feel a check. You just feel you just know. Or you just, you know, lose your peace or something. Or do you think I shouldn't take her to this school? You know, why am I feeling this check? Right? But like I said, leave the foundations right. Because you can start feeling check on something that does not even exist because you feel there's always a problem about everything. Okay. So as much as possible, um, try to shut down every wrong teaching that you have ever listened to by listening to people who are enlightened. All right. I wouldn't want to mention names, but I will go ahead and mention names. Okay. You know, the stream of the Word of Faith, they help a lot. Kenneth Copeland, and all these, and all those who who pattern their their teachings after him, they will help you a lot. All right. Because you need to be established and grounded in the truth of God's word to have, you know, scriptural, scripturally based experiences that are valid. If not, you find yourself working in error in the guise of hearing God's voice. All right. I'm sure you know people have had dreams that are not of God directing them to do something. So we are in a generation of a lot of lying voices. All right. There are plenty of lying voices. You must be ready to hear God and hear Him accurately. So we're done with checks and impressions. And second to the last one, dreams and visions. Or they thought to the last one. So the first one, we said, we said there's a "Noah." Number two, we said is peace. Number three, we say checks and impressions. Number four, dreams and visions. And Joel 2:28 shows us that in the last days, that your sons and daughters will prophesy, and in verse 28, it says there will be dreams and there will be visions. Okay. So dreams and visions are very valid. Numbers 12:6, God was speaking again. And He said that to His prophet, "He speaks with dreams and visions, but not like that to Moses." Okay. So I'm sure from that statement, you can tell that as you get intimate with God, you don't have to depend on the dream or vision to know what God is trying to say. You should be able to hear. But I just know it just yet. You just know it because you have the mind of Christ. I will come to that as the last point. Okay. Imagine if you had to, imagine if you had to, um, to, to sleep and dream before knowing anything God wanted you to know. Imagine someone telling you, "Lisa, can you pray for me? I want to know what your mind is, what the man of God is causing this matter." And you tell the person, "Please allow me. I want to sleep so I can discern what God's will is, and I'll get back to you." I imagine if that was how, if that was how things were. I'm pretty sure that's not an interesting experience to have to wait till you sleep before you know what God is saying. Is that
Not the way a child should live with his or her parents. So, um, dreams and visions are very good, but they're limited to when you are sleeping or when you're unconscious, okay? Unless you're talking about an open vision. And so don't see that as a last resort. Don't tell God, "Give me a dream." And by the way, don't tell God how to talk to you. Just tell Him to speak, okay? Don't tell Him, "Speak to me through peace," or "Speak to me through a dream," or "Speak to me through somebody." Just tell Him to speak to you, alright? And let Him choose the best way of speaking to you. Hallelujah.
So, dreams and visuals are very valid, and that is one of very good ways of hearing God. But like I said again, your foundation is wrong. You will hear what you want to hear. You will see what you want to see. You will receive what you want to receive. And so, first and foremost, sort out the issue of your heart right now.
The second to the last point, which is other persons. It's all three scriptures you find that, okay? Um, you don't need the scripture for that. Throughout scriptures, you find God speaking to people through people, okay? Now, the problem with that is that man knows in part and understands in part. Paul said that. He said, "I know in part and I prophesy in part." So, no man can accurately receive all that God has to tell you. You are the best person to hear God for yourself, alright? So, if you're someone who wants somebody else to talk to you about your father, think about it this way: your brother or your sister being a middleman between you and your parents. It doesn't make any sense. You should be able to hear your parents by yourself, alright? So, it's wrong for you to meet another brother in Christ or sister in Christ so, "Tell me what God is saying about your own life, not their life." God can speak to you and wants to speak to you, okay? So, I trust God that even as you're listening, that God is, you know, opening up, you know, there's activation going on right now for you to, you know, hear, discern, and be accurate and discerning words God has for you. So, other persons is another way God can speak to you. But I advise you, let them confirm. Let people always be a confirmation to what God has already told you, not, um, informing you for the first time, okay?
And lastly, I want to, I want to say that we have the mind of Christ. And, um, what this means, if you're writing, you can write 1 Corinthians 2:16. The first Corinthians 2:16. And then simply, what that means is that [Music] you should trust the desire in your heart. This is the last point and a very important point. When God is speaking to you, many times He makes you to desire. When God wants you to follow a path, wants you to follow your leading, it makes you to want it, to desire it, okay? Bible says that He works in us both to will and to do according to His good pleasure. So, God makes you to want what He wants and then tells you to do it, okay? Now, here lies, and this is a great revelation. Realize the difference between grace and law. Under the law, God tells you to do something whether you like it or not. But under grace, He makes you want it, okay? So, grace has a teaching ability. By who says grace teaches us denying godly lusts, you know, we should live for Christ and so on. So, grace makes you want it. And then when you want to do something, you do it seamlessly. Just go ahead and do it because it's what you want to do. So, many people are born with these desires that God has put in them because He wants them to solve a problem. So, that thing that you desire to be a, a solution to, most likely is what God wants you to do, alright? But the problem is, many people, like the scripture says in James, it says that, um, "some of us ask and don't receive because we ask to consume it on our lusts." Alright? So, that's why I said, sort out the issue of lust, the issue of, you know, worship of idols, those things in your heart that are not, you know, at your exalt above God, because you would desire them, and those are not the desires of God, alright? Friendship with the world is enmity with God. His ways are not our ways. But in the New Testament, the proper perspective is that His ways are your ways because you are a child of God, alright? So, be careful as you quote Old Testament scriptures. Be careful because we learn from them and we live by the New. We are not of that testament, that covenant, right? We are new creations. So, my way is supposed to be the way of God, alright? Speaking naturally because I'm born of God, I'm ruled by God, I'm governed by spirit. So, when you quote the scripture like, "His ways are not my ways and His thoughts are not my thoughts," then you are confusing yourself because the Bible clearly says that we have the mind of Christ. So, His thoughts are my thoughts, my thoughts, I thought. So, align your thoughts before you say that. Align your thoughts with thoughts, alright? See that your heart is like the heart of Christ. This is very important as a foundation as you keep going because He will direct you just simply by wanting something. That is, that is just an awesome thing to just desire something and know that because you desired it, it is God, alright? And you follow through with it, okay? So, take care of the issue of your lusts, you know, vain pursuits and desires, and just love God and want Him for Him alone, and you begin to move you in the direction, you know, that He wants you to go. You just feel like going for a Master's. You just feel like fathering, you know, all the way to PhD. I was talking to someone yesterday, and he was saying that he wants to, you know, do, he's thinking of doing a Master's and PhD. But I don't know if it's the will of God. And, you know, I was sharing this exact same point with him that maybe it's just God giving you that desire, alright? Making you desire, wants what He wants. What makes us feel all the time that God does not want what we want? Alright? What makes us feel that God doesn't want what we want? It's the same wrong teachings, you know, that God just has a problem with us, you know, He just has a problem with us. Once we want something, He doesn't want it again, right? We have ladies who are afraid, who are afraid that God will give them what they don't want as husbands. You have guys also afraid. People are always afraid that God does not want what He wants, alright? Hallelujah. He's a good Father, and He's going to give you the best, okay? And the best might not be what you want, just so you're not. But, um, as much as possible, take your lusts. And if you desire what God wants, if you desire what God wants, you will never, ever have issues with direction. You will never, okay? So, delight yourself in the Lord. That's how that scripture will make sense. Because it says, "If you delight yourself in the Lord, your gun desires of your heart." So, it means when you delight yourself in the Lord, what will happen is that there will be heart alignment. Your heart will begin to desire what His heart are like desires, okay? And so, He will grant your desire because what He wants is what He wants, right? So, that's why I said, begin by wanting Him, right? Delight yourself in Him. Love on Him. You know, enjoy fellowship with Him. You know, fill your heart and mind with thoughts about God. You know, seek Him. Be hungry for Him. Love on Him. Serve Him. And you'll find Him seamlessly, spontaneously guiding you through your desires, alright? Hallelujah.
And with that point, um, I'm just gonna, I'm just gonna bring it to a roundup right now. We began by saying I'm going to speak to you through, um, the Noah, to speak to you through peace, through checks and impressions, you know, dreams and visions. Speak to you through other persons. And then we've ended by saying that you have the mind of Christ. And so, He will speak to you through, you know, your desire, your, you know, your wishes, your desires, okay? As long as they are pure. We have a, we have a large, you know, um, how do I put this? In a spectrum now, or like we have a, we have a, a large, you know, um, God gives us a long group for what? For what to think about and desire. He says, "Whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are good, honest, or good reports, the benefit should there be any praise, think on these things." And that's Philippians 4:8, I think. So, if He doesn't tell you, you must think about heaven. You must think about the angels. So, you must think about as long as it's pure, as long as it's of good reports, alright? Don't complicate hearing God. Don't complicate discerning His will, okay? Take away the idols, and your hearing will be much, much more, you know, accurate. And lastly, let me say that as you yield and obey promptly, the volume of God's voice will increase. Lord, I ask that this last point of God will be very, very loud on the hearts of all those listening. I pray in the name of Jesus that You help us to be very loud, to to be very, um, to be very, um, yielded and obedient to Your, to Your voice, that Your voice can be louder. Now, as you listen to God's voice, as you yield to the seemingly, you know, um, discernible promptings of God, you know, sometimes it feels like it's not loud enough. You're not sure. You're not sure. You feel like you want to do this thing, but you don't know if it's God, okay? On the little, little issues that He has been confronting you with, have you been yielding? Have you been listening? Have you been following through? When He tells you, "Speak," do you speak? When He tells you, "Keep quiet," do you keep quiet? And does He pray? You pray, alright? Before you start asking Him to tell you what's cool to go to, the little things He tells you every day to do, do you do it, alright? Want to hear God on big things, but we don't want to listen to Him on the little things. So, I want to encourage you, listen to God on the little things because that's where your practice is going to happen. And as you follow through the little things, you will learn to discern His voice. And when the major decisions come your way, it won't be difficult. It won't require prayer and fasting, alright? You don't have to go in three days, drive fast, and to know who your husband is going to be, or who, or where you're going to base your ministry, or, you know, what career to push you. You don't need that, alright? If you're doing that, it's because you have not been doing something before. Fasting is supposed to be a natural way of life, by the way. Prayer is supposed to be natural, by the way. Study of God was supposed to be natural, by the way. So, if delighting yourself, and I'm saying this because we have people who preach these things, go on, they fast to hear. You don't need to go on a fast to hear God, hallelujah, alright? But if you have not been in that place of, you know, keeping your spirit open, then you will need to. So, let me balance it right there because some of us literally have to go on a fast because you are so distracted, you are so preoccupied with the things of this world that you can't hear divine instruction, even if you hear very blurred or inaccurate, you know, in your discernment. So, you have to go on a fast, you know, stay away from social media for a while. It's not going to kill you until your mind is quiet enough because you need that quietness. Remember what I said? God is always speaking, but the background voices are usually loud, and that's why we don't discern His voice, hallelujah. So, please shut down the distractions. And fasting helps with that. First, give us up to the word of God. Some of us are fasting and on our phones all day, or in direction with people all day. What's the difference? You're just going to hunger strike. So, separate yourself because that helps. That actually helps, alright? That helps with the older New Testament believer. That helps, alright? Remove distractions. And I'm not talking about them, um, you know, they're just amazing things people doing. This is our generation. People are fasting meat. Fasting [Music]. See, if you want to fast, go on a fast, alright? Go on a fast. I've chosen the old-timer's kind of faith, alright? And it's paying off. Go on a fast. Go on a proper fast. Deny your body, alright? And your spirit will naturally rise. It's not because God wants to, will not speak unto you. Fast because it gets you ready to receive. It gets, it helps you, the receiver, okay? So, if something is clogged, you clean it out. That's what fasting and the word of God and praying the spirit is going to do for you. So, do that a lot. Do that all the time. Don't do it because you want to get anything. Do it because that is how you live, okay? You don't breathe because, uh, you know, you want to give air to your lungs or, you know, I'm just, just using any example I could use. But basically, you don't, you breathe because that's how you live, you know? It's not something you do once in a while or, you know, before you sleep or when you wake up in the morning. You don't breathe three times a day, you don't. So, breathe all the time. It's the same thing. Pray all the time, alright? Make it your life. Praise your life. Hallelujah.
We're just going to pray right away. Father, I thank You for all those listening. And if you have not yet, not yet received Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior, right about now, just declare this with me. Lord Jesus, I believe that You came and died for me to make me a child of God. I receive You as my Lord. I believe Your sacrifice. I receive You as my Lord. I receive You as my Lord. Write my name in the book of life. I want to become one of Your own. Thank You, Father, for receiving me. Thank You for receiving me. Thank You for blotting my sins away. Thank You. I receive the miracle salvation in Jesus' name. Hallelujah. If you just said that, congratulations. You are now a member of this precious family, this royal family, this powerful family, this influential family. Hallelujah. And your ears have been enabled, by the way. So, you will begin to hear God's voice even right now. And so, Father, I thank You for everyone who has watched and who have taken time to share, to like, to, you know, to spread this word. I ask of God that Your voice will be loud in their hearts. I ask in the name of Jesus that they will not have problems discerning Your will. And right now, by Your mercy, I command in the name of Jesus the distractions to flee. In any way they have been working in error for so long without even knowing, the mercy of God has reached Canada again. The message that has reached many of Your servants, you know, who have been walking in error and eventually were stopped by Your mercy and, you know, redirected after that mercy will reach every one of them. I command wrong relationships, wrong, you know, ways that people are walking in right now to come to an end by Your power. Let Your mercy cause a break in whatever is not Your will in people's lives. Let Your tender mercy guide us into Your will. We love You, Jesus. Let Your light guide our feet. Your word is a lamp to our feet, a light onto our path. Guide us by Your word in Jesus' name. Amen.
Um, as I was praying now, I just remembered one more point that which we all know of course, and God can guide you, speak to you through scriptures. I know we have come to the end of the video, but I just said it and say this, um, in person, I want you to please take notes. It's very important as well. God speaks to you through His word, okay? I just assume that we would all know that, but that's very important. And one of the ways He speaks through His word is that His word would jump at you, okay? Well, like I said again, please let your heart be in good condition because you can be misguided from the same Bible that people are being guided from, alright? I'm telling you, you can be. And I'm sure some of you have heard stories, you know, what I'm talking about, okay? Everything is wrong if your heart is wrong. Hallelujah. God bless you and, um, see you next time. God bless you. I love you guys. I'm praying for you. I trust that you've been blessed. Like the videos. Share it if something touched you. If you are blessed, someone needs to hear this, okay? Someone really needs to hear this right now. Someone wants to make a decision. Someone wants to make progress about something. Share this video if it blessed you. Let it bless somebody else. God bless you. I love you. Bye.
