That Groot, the one who said, "We are Groot." We are Groot, truly died that day.
The Groot we know now, was born from the ashes of that sacrifice. He isn't the same being. He's the child of the original Groot.
The first Groot's memories, his emotions, they were lost forever. But this new Groot, he was raised by the guardians like their own son. He laughed with them, fought beside them, and grew up surrounded by the very family his father once died to protect.
And now that tiny sapling has become a legend, King Groot. With every year, he grows stronger, wiser, and more powerful, unlocking abilities that could one day rival even Thor himself.
